Young hero gets a Relief

1

RX100 made Karthikeya an overnight star and the actor signed back-to-back films. His screen presence and performance have been miles ahead than many other young Tollywood actors. But Karthikeya delivered a series of flops and his theatrical market got disrupted. His recent offering Bedurulanka 2012 has been struggling and the film finally released on Friday. The film also faced stiff competition from Varun Tej’s Gaandeevadhari Arjuna and Dulquer Salman’s King of Kotha.

Dominating these films, Bedurulanka 2012 performed well and emerged as the weekend winner. The film’s weekend numbers are way ahead than Gaandeevadhari Arjuna and King of Kotha. Bedurulanka 2012 is a huge relief for Karthikeya who has been struggling to score a hit. The entertainment in the film was accepted well by the audience. Bedurulanka 2012 will end up as a decent hit for Karthikeya.

After the super success of RX 100, Karthikeya failed to deliver a super hit. The actor pinned all his hopes on Bedurulanka 2012, a comedy-drama directed by Clax. Neha Shetty is the leading lady and Manisharma scored the music. Here is the complete review of Bedurulanka 2012:

Story:

Siva (Karthikeya) is a youngster from Bedurulanka village and he works as a Graphic Designer in Hyderabad. He loses his patience because of a client and returns back to his village. He falls in love with President’s (Goparaju Ramana) daughter Chitra (Neha Shetty). They love each other since their childhood days. A news about the world coming to an end goes viral through television. The people of the village will be left in fear with the news. Bhushanam (Ajay Ghosh) plans to use this sentiment and earn money. He joins hands with Brahmam (Srikanth Iyengar) and Daniel (Auto Ramprasad) to make the people believe that the world is coming to an end.

He also suggests a solution for the problem asking the people to donate their gold to make Shiva idols and Cross of Christians. He wants them to dip these in Ganga. When the entire village is ready to donate their gold, Siva rejects the proposal. The entire village boycotts Siva and the rest of Bedurulanka 2012 is all about how Siva teaches a lesson for the culprits.

Bedurulanka 2012 is inspired by a popular dialogue of Seven Samurai which says “When there is no tomorrow, there is no need to think about what society feels”. Bedurulanka 2012 is a social sattire. The love story between Siva and Chitra is uninteresting. The episodes between Bhushanam, Daniel and Brahmam are interesting. Karthikeya’s role has no great prominence and is like the other role in his village. The real drama starts when the villagers start donating their gold.

The entertainment during the first half is decent. There is not much content in the second half. The director relied on the entertainment to complete the second half of Bedurulanka 2012. The climax has a social message. Vennela Kishore and Satya’s roles are entertaining in the second half. The director wanted to explain the mindset of humans when they come to know that the world is coming to an end.

Karthikeya’s role is simple and it lacks elevations. He looked decent in the role. He exposed his physique without any need in some of the episodes. Neha Shetty looked beautiful as a village girl. Ajay Ghosh, Goparaju Ramana, Srikanth Iyengar and Auto Ramprasad had crucial roles and they played their roles well. Rajkumar entertained the audience during the climax scenes. LB Sriram was used to deliver the key point from Bedurulanka 2012.

Manisharma’s music lacked any interest. The songs are below average but the background score sounded decent. The cinematography work is good and the production values are apt. Director Clax tried to deliver a social message through Bedurulanka 2012. The film would have been better if the entertainment was more engaging.

‘Bedurulanka 2012’: The catchy ‘Solluda Siva’ arrives to entertain

‘Bedurulanka 2012’ has been projected as a zany dramedy set in East Godavari. Kartikeya Gummakonda, ahead of the release of his film on August 25, is now in the news over the release of a hero-intro type song from the movie. Its title is ‘Solluda Siva’ and Mani Sharma is once again in his element. The ‘Melody Brahma’ draws from his vintage style of music.

Krishna Chaitanya’s lyrics and the singers’ talent (Anurag Kulkarni, Roll Rida and Prudhvi Chandra are masterful) make this a vibrant song. Director Clax’s picturization is another high point. “The tune, the dance moves and the visuals are immensely likeable,” says the director, talking about the song that tries to echo the hero’s thinking.

Ajay Ghosh, Raj Kumar Basireddy, Goparaju Ramana and ‘Auto’ Ram Prasad feature in different roles. Sai Prakash Ummadisingu and Sunny Kurapati have helmed the cinematography department. Neha Sshetty of ‘DJ Tillu’ fame is the film’s heroine.

Producer Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni of Loukya Entertainments is planning to release a thrilling trailer soon.

‘I wanted to say this from a long time..’ – Hero Kartikeya about Bedurulanka 2012

0

No more delays. We’re hitting the worldwide screens on August 25th, say hero Kartikeya Gummakonda’s next movie ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ team.

Earlier teasers, concept videos and songs have created quite a buzz online but the delay of announcement pushed it a little.

However, excited and prepared for a grand release, makers of the film are coming up with a crazy promotional strategy to accelerate the hype on it.

They staged a stylish announcement video and released an interesting poster to kick-start the same.

Expected to stand out with the content, Kartikeya & Neha Sshetty’s performance, aesthetic visuals of unexplored nature, crazy play of characters and beautiful music by Manisharma are also said to be its assets.

Directed by debutant Clax, Producer Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni (Benny) and Presenter C. Yuvaraju have backed it under National Award winning banner Loukya Entertainments.

Shot in the banks of godavari, this exciting village dramedy also has Ajay Ghosh, Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Srikanth Ayyengar, ‘Auto’ Ram Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, LB Sriram, and others in major roles.

Makers are confident that ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ will set a benchmark for Godavari based rural comedy dramas and give a hilarious laughing ride.

‘Bedurulanka 2012’ Teaser: Are you guys ready?

Kartikeya Gummakonda’s ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ is about the hoax that the world would be coming to an end on December 21, 2012. Naive, gullible characters who don’t know better and self-serving manipulators who misuse religious beliefs to hoodwink the residents of Yedurulanka are thrown into the mix.

The film’s teaser, digitally released today by producer Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni of Loukya Entertainments via THE Vijay Deverakonda, captures the storyline well. Writer-director Clax is not content with uni-dimensional characters. Kartikeya is not just a saviour but a romantic youngster who loves sweet-nothings with the village’s young beauty, played by ‘DJ Tillu’ fame Neha Sshetty.

Eventually, the hero and his girlfriend form a band of irreverent warriors with five others. When the hero says ‘Están listos muchachos’ (‘Are you guys ready?’), we understand they are up for something game-changing.

Ajay Ghosh’s devious character plots a con with the help of two other shrewd men fooling people in the name of religion. Once their ploy becomes consequential, it seems, the love story takes a backseat and the film becomes a complete dramedy with loads of fun and action.

With comedians like Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, and Vennela Kishore, with character artists like Srikanth Ayyengar, and Goparaju Ramana, ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ looks variegated on the casting side.

Mani Sharma’s background score must be stylish for the scenes to have a greater impact. Viplav Nyasadam’s editing is hopefully inventive. Cinematographers Sai Prakash Ummadisingu and Sunny Kurapati have cranked the camera.
