Bonda Uma demands Jagan’s resignation for Viveka murder

0

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister taking moral responsibility for the murder of his paternal uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy.

If Jagan Mohan Reddy is not involved in the murder of his uncle, he should immediately step down first and then bring the culprits to book taking proper action, Umamaheswara Rao told the media here. The Chief Minister and the State government should feel ashamed as Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter, Sunitha, moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the murder case investigation to some other State, Bonda Uma said.

The CBI in its affidavit clearly mentioned that Vivekananda was done to death by Avinash Reddy and Siva Sankar Reddy, the family members of Jagan’s wife, Bharathi, as Vivekananda was firm that the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat be allotted to the YSR family members, Uma pointed out. He demanded that Jagan answer the public as to why he is now keeping silence when he wanted the CBI to investigate the murder case while he was in Opposition and even moved the High Court demanding the probe.

Pointing out that the CBI clearly indicated in the affidavit that the YSRCP MP, Avinash Reddy and other forces are influencing the case, he wanted to know how Jagan tried to defend the same Avinash Reddy on the floor of the Assembly. What does this indicate, Mr Uma asked.

When Sharmila came out openly and stated in New Delhi that Vivekananda was done to death due to reasons for Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, why Jagan till now not opened his mouth on this, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao asked.

Uma also wanted Jagan to tell the public who is behind the threats being issued to Dastagiri, who turned approver in the murder case. The TDP politburo member demanded the CBI to immediately take up the investigation into the case and bring to book the culprits and also those directly and indirectly involved in it.

Bonda Uma dares Vijayasai to seek CBI probe into land scams

0

TDP politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Tuesday said that the people no longer believe YSRCP MP, Vijayasai Reddy, even if he claims that he is not involved in the land scam in Visakhapatnam.

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Vijayasai Reddy, robbed the State even when they were not in power, and now people will not trust them even if they claim that they are innocent, Mr Bonda Uma said while talking to media persons at the party headquarters here. Though the TDP brought the facts before the people with evidence, Vijayasai Reddy shamelessly claimed that he had no knowledge about the land scam.

Umamaheswara Rao is of the strong opinion that Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen on declaring Visakhapatnam as the capital only for the benefit of Vijayasai Reddy. Both Jagan and Vijayasai are looting Visakhapatnam and to divert the public attention from this, the YSRCP Government has taken the slogan of three capitals, the TDP leader stated.

Vijayasai Reddy, who grabbed the lands in Visakhapatnam had transferred the lands in the name of his daughter and his son-in-law, Mr Bonda Uma said, adding that he is now narrating some cooked-up stories.

Vijayasai Reddy cannot become innocent if he threatens some media persons or by throwing mud on the media, the TDP politburo member maintained. How the Arabindo Pharma got several lands in just three-and-half years, Umamaheswara Rao asked and said that very expensive lands worth over Rs 2,500 cr were grabbed by Vijayasai Reddy in the name of regularisation.

The corrupt practices and the land grabbing of the YSRCP Government and Vijayasai Reddy are now in the public platform and thus the ruling party leaders are now resorting to various kinds of appeasements and even issuing threats to those who are questioning them.

Jagan looting the state, says TDP ex-MLA Uma

1

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and his Cabinet colleagues in the past three years have totally changed the meaning of decentralisation of development. What decentralisation means for them is to loot the State, conceal and later run away, which they have been implementing across Andhra Pradesh, said the TDP politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao on Friday.

Umamaheswara Rao told media persons at the TDP headquarters here that Chandrababu Naidu, during his tenure as the chief minister of the State, strived hard to develop Amaravati but after Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power he totally destroyed the city. When the farmers in the region, who lost their lands, come onto the roads demanding justice, the Ministers are passing the most unpleasant and nasty comments against them, Uma said.

The Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues do not have any understanding what decentralisation means, he felt. If they really are aware what development and decentralisation mean, the TDP is ready for an open debate, he said and asked whether the ruling party leaders can come for the debate.

Though the High Court has already made it clear that any state should have a single capital, this YSRCP Government is resorting to diversionary politics in the name of decentralisation, the TDP politburo member said. The `Nyayasthanam to Devasthanam` (judiciary to temple) pada yatra undertaken by the Amaravati farmers earlier evoked tremendous response and now the Amaravati to Arasavelli pada yatra is getting enormous response, he observed.

In the name of upgrading Visakhapatnam as capital city, the State Government mortgaged the lands there, he said and demanded Jagan Mohan Reddy to come out with facts where he has spent the Rs 40,000 cr raised as loan by mortgaging the lands. The Chief Minister who could not build a single capital should tell the public as to how he will build three capitals, Uma asked. He should explain to the people what are his plans on the capital, the TDP politburo member demanded.

Jagan paying public money to advocates for personal cases, says Bonda

0

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Tuesday said that the Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, for the past three-and-half years has been wasting public money on court cases to pay to the advocates to argue his personal cases.

Talking to media persons at the TDP headquarters here, Umamaheswara Rao said that any State Government engages private advocates and spends public money to argue cases either in the respective High Courts or in the Supreme Court for the interest of its own people like fighting for irrigation projects. But after Jagan has come to power in the State, he is paying crores of rupees public money to the advocates to argue CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases pending against him or his family members, he stated. These advocates are engaged even for petty cases paying them huge amount as fee, which is public money, Bonda Uma said.

The TDP politburo member recalled that an NGO challenged the Green Tribunal order on Polavaram project before the Supreme Court and the State Government has engaged the services of the senior advocate, Abhishek Singhvi, and since he could not take up the case, the services of Venkataramaiah, another senior advocate, have been engaged on a war footing basis. Even the apex court has expressed surprise at the style of functioning of the State Government, he said, adding that no other State Government in the country engaged the services of private advocates to argue government cases.

The private advocates appointed by Jagan charged Rs 1 lakh per hour and pointing this out, the Supreme Court too said that notices have to be served on the State seeking explanation for spending so much of public money this way, Uma stated. How many times both the High Court and the Supreme Court had pulled up the State Government, but it has not learnt any lesson till now, he observed.

Bonda Uma demanded that a white paper be published on the number of cases the State Government has won till now by engaging the services of private advocates. Another senior advocate, Mukul Rohatgi, was engaged by paying a whooping Rs 5 cr only to damage Amaravati, he pointed out and asked what the Advocate General, Sriram and Additional Advocate General, Sudhakar, are doing.

The TDP strongly condemns this kind of wastage of public money the State Government, Umamaheswara Rao said and asked as to why no senior advocate has been appointed to argue the State’s rights mentioned in the Reorganisation Act. What happened to the assets that are due from the neighbouring State of Telangana as per the Reorganisation Act and what cases are filed to fight for the rights of the State, he asked.

YSRCP’s Days Are Numbered: TDP

0

M.S. Rao

The TDP Politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, said that the days of the YSRCP were numbered, while addressing a press conference here at party office.

The people of the State were disgusted at the functioning of the YSRCP leaders as the party has taken birth on high corruption and false propaganda, Umamaheswara Rao said. He observed that, the people had chased away the Ministers and the YSRCP MLAs during the ‘Gadapa Gadapaku’ (door-to-door) programme of YSRCP in the State.

“The was a mockery on democracy, ever since the YSRCP came to power in the State. The police played the role of a spectator when the Chief Minister, Jagan Reddy, his Cabinet colleague, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Bharath, MLC and Vidyasagar Rao, Kuppam Marketing Committee chairman, blatantly murdered the democratic values,” Bonda Uma alleged.

The YSRCP goondas attacked the TDP activists during the recent visit of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, TDP president to Kuppam. The ruling party resorted to physical attacks on TDP activists and damaged the Anna Canteen besides setting on fire the TDP banners, he said.

Some YSRCP leaders behaviour is very shameless, says TDP

1

Former MLA and senior TDP leader Bonda Umamaheswara Rao on Thursday felt that the behaviour of some of the YSRCP leaders is very despicable and the video of Hindupur Lok Sabha member Gorantla Madhav that is going viral on social media speaks volumes about the reprehensible conduct of their party leaders.

Umamaheswara Rao told media persons here that the behavior of YSRCP MPs, Ministers, former ministers, MLAs and other party leaders is very disgusting. The YCP leaders are acting so disorderly. When the video of Madhav sexually abusing a woman is going viral on social media, he is shamelessly denying the fact, Umamaheswara Rao said.

Can another YSRCP MP Vijayasai now tweet not to take action against Madhav, the TDP leader asked. As per the election affidavit, cases under Section 376, Section 302 and Section 506 are pending against Gorantla Madhav, Bonda Uma pointed out.

In fact, it is Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, who is responsible for this kind of sickening behaviour of his party MPs, his Cabinet colleagues, former ministers, MLAs and other YSRCP leaders, he stated.

“In the past too, we all have witnessed the video in which Minister Ambati Rambabu made some objectionable remarks against a woman. Jagan Mohan Reddy shamelessly accommodated him in his Cabinet, the TDP leader remarked.

The audio of another YSRCP leader Avanti Srinivas telling a girl, “Come in half an hour, I will send you back in half an hour” also went viral. “We all know how Jogi Ramesh, another party leader, sexually abused woman volunteers in a drunken state in Pedana,” the former MLA said adding that these are the facts before the people and not allegations made by the TDP.

Observing that there is no protection for women in the State, Bonda Uma said the present condition in the State is such that women are now afraid of coming out of their houses. It is becoming difficult for women to escape from persons like Gorantla Madhav, he remarked. When a fellow MP is threatening women in New Delhi with such objectionable vidoes what Vijaya Sai Reddy is doing there, he asked.

TDP dares Jagan to seek ‘fresh mandate’ on Capital shifting

4

TDP former MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao on Friday asserted that the people of Andhra Pradesh would get justice in the courts of law even though the AP Governor signed the two Capital shifting bills despite the blatant Constitutional violations resorted to by the YSRCP Government in this regard. He said the Governor-approved bills would not stand in the court as they were in utter violation of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and only aimed at creating regional differences and disturbances to divide people along political lines.

The TDP leader questioned the Constitutionality of the bills and challenged Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to seek a fresh mandate. The CM should go for re-election immediately if he was so confident of the public approval of his decision to create 3 Capitals. The CM himself gave his nod for Amaravati as the one and only Capital City for AP prior to the 2019 election. As Opposition leader at that time, Mr. Jagan Reddy said on the floor of the Assembly that he was accepting Amaravati as Capital to avoid regional differences but now he took a total U-turn on this.

Mr. Bonda Uma dared the YSRCP to dissolve the Assembly and face fresh elections on the plank of creating 3 Capitals for the State. When Jagan Reddy could not finish Amaravati Capital, where 80 percent of works were already completed, it was highly doubtful that the CM could construct 3 Capitals now. In the past 14 months, Jagan Reddy has not spent a single rupee for development of Visakhapatnam and Rayalaseema. Nobody has any confidence in his leadership any more. The CM has taken a Tughlaq decision to shift Capital and stick to that without realising the injustice that he is going to do to the people of the State.

The TDP leader appealed to the AP people to see through the vicious plans of Mr. Jagan Reddy who was hell bent on providing regional feelings in North Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. Over 34,000 farmers sacrificed their ancestral lands for the construction of Amaravati Capital but this CM has not recognised their sacrifice till now. Over Rs. 10,000 Cr was spent on Amaravati works already but the CM has no heart to accept its rich potential to emerge as a global city in future.
