Pawan meets Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, Dadi to join Janasena?

0

Pawan Kalyan recently started joining leaders into his party. Last week TDP leader Kona Tata Rao, Cricket Venugopal Rao and some others joined the party. Today, Pawan met former MLA Dadi Veerabadhra Rao and with this, speculations started if Dadi is joining Janasena party.

Dadi Veerabhadra Rao was MLA from Anakapalle Assembly constituency for 3 times – 1989, 1994 and 1999. Dadi Veerabhadra Rao lost the elections in 2004 and 2009 to Konathala Ramakrishna and Ganta Srinivasa Rao respectively.

He was MLC from TDP party till 2013 but he resigned to TDP after its supremo, Chandra Babu didn’t renew his MLC post in 2013. He resigned to TDP in May 2013. He joined YSRCP later. His son contested from YSRCP in 2014 elections but he had lost from Vizag West constituency. In June 2014, after election results, he quit YSRCP party too and he slammed Jagan while leaving YSRCP party and commented that YSRCP party’s existence in the coming days was doubtful and Jagan would either wind up the party or merge with other parties.

Now Pawan meeting Dadi observed keenly by political analysts as caste equations favour prospects of their combination in Dadi’s constituency. We will have to wait and see to what transpired in their meet and what will be the outcome of the meet.

Will Pawan Kalyan be ready with Channel by 14th August?

Pawan Kalyan is currently doing his political tour in North Andhra and getting terrific response from people but his speeches are not getting telecast in TV channels as before. Earlier even if Pawan Kalyan tweets a small line there used to be huge coverage for that tweet and there used to be discussions on that tweet in channels. But things changed later. Ever since Pawan Kalyan waged war with TV channels through his Twitter, TV channels also stopped giving coverage to Pawan Kalyan and his political activities. Now Janasena cadre and his fans are feeling that difference and pressurizing party leadership to start a news channel.

99TV, JTV, 10TV and Tulasi TV:

Since last couple of months, there have been rumors that Pawan Kalyan is also contemplating to have his own news channel. Initially there were rumours about Pawan Kalyan taking over 99 TV. As per reports, Pawan Kalyan team did approach 99 TV but later the backed out because of some technical reasons. Then there were rumours about Pawan starting completely new channels with the name JTV but there was no information on that later. Recently, there have been rumours on Pawan’s team approaching 10 TV. This channel is partially owned by communist leader Tammineni Veerabhadram and partially crowd funded. As Pawan is sailing with communists, it seems the communist leader also was willing to offer partnership to Pawan. Social media is agog with rumours on Tulasi seeds owner Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu coming up with his own news channel. In fact he already has licence and satellite bandwidth for a news channel since more than 5 years. It is known news that Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu contested through Chiranjeevi’s PRP and lost elections in 2009. Currently Tulasi family is actively participating in Janasena activities

Nimmagadda, Chiranjeevi and 10TV:

Recently the rumors intensified about this topic and as per the grapevine, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, also known as Matrix Prasad, is investing in 10TV and the discussions are going on. Added to this, another rumor is that Chiranjeevi himself involved in this and is trying to strike this deal with 10 TV through the Nimmagadda Prasad. It is known news that Nimmagadda Prasad, Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind and Nagarjuna were partners in Maa TV earlier which was sold to star group later.

Can’t do politics without News channels in Telugu states?

Whether all these rumours ,that – one, Pawan Kalyan taking over or starting a news channel, two -Nimmagadda Prasad investing into 10 TV on behalf of Pawan or Chiranjeevi, three -Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind supporting Pawan Kalyan in taking over news channel through Nimmagadda – are true or not, one thing is for sure, that AP people believe without having own channel, it would be difficult for Pawan Kalyan to make his mark in AP politics. In fact, Chiranjeevi fans attribute lack of channel as first reason for the debacle of PRP in elections. So, without support of media it is still difficult to do politics in Telugu States no matter how much presence you have in social media. Small and urban states like Delhi politics might be controlled using social media, like Kejrival did, but in bigger states like AP that have several ‘rural’ constituencies, it is difficult to reach all the voters through social media and so news channel is probably mandatory in states like AP. In the neighbouring Tamil Nadu, almost each and every political party has their own news channel – SUN TV and Kalaingar TV for DMK, Jaya TV for AIADMK, Captain TV for Vijaykanth, Makkal TV for Ramadas’s PMK and Velicham TV for Tamila manila Congress. In AP too, TDP has many channels supporting it and YSRCP has it’s own channel. Probably this fact is now understood by Pawan Kalyan.

Will it be ready by August 14th?

Earlier Pawan Kalyan announced that his party manifesto will be released on 14th of August. He made this announcement on 14th March during Janasena party foundation day. So, now there has been debate in political circles whether Pawan Kalyan will be ready with his news channel by 14th August at least. Because even if they get a channel, they need sometime to take it to people and the early they start taking their party activities and news to people, the better prospects they will have in 2019 elections. Will come to know answer for this in a month time.

TDP MLA’s baseless allegations on Pawan Kalyan

1

Ever since, Pawan broke with TDP, he has been firing salvos on TDP and its supremo Chandra babu Naidu. At the sametime, TDP leaders also retaliating hm with their counters. But sometimes, the allegations of some TDP MLAs are looking baseless. TDP MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy made allegation that Pawan Kalyan was part of Prajarajyam when it was sold to Congress and he knows how much it is sold for and he was very much part of that. He also added, Pawan is provoking Uttarandhra people on underdevelopment.

It is understandable that TDP leaders have to retaliate Pawan’s comments especially because he has been targetting TDP. But if we remember properly, earlier all the political opponents of Chiranjeevi, including TDP and YSRCP used to target Chiranjeevi saying Pawan and Chiru have serious rift in their relationship as Pawan did not want Chiranjeevi to merge PRP. He was not seen with Chiranjeevi during the merger or even when Chiranjevi became union minister. When Chiranjeevi became union minister, on that day during press meet, reporters asked Chiranjeevi that even though all family members are attending, why Pawan did not attend this event and Chiranjeevi was embarrassed for this question and was not able to give proper answer. Even when Pawan supported TDP, he clearly told his family members did not like it but he came forward keeping future of AP in his mind.

As people did not forget these facts yet, TDP leaders making such allegations will not help TDP but will actally create sympathy for Pawan and Janasena. It is better, if TDP leaders confine their attack to retaliating Pawan’s recent comments and his recent actions.

New joinees into Janasena

0

While Pawan Kalyan’s meetings and speeches are getting good response, main criticism on Pawan kalyan’s is that there are no leaders or cadre in the party. Even though Pawan could retaliate to the criticism on cadre, saying all the fans and lakhs of people who attend his meetings are his cadre, he could not counter the criticism that there are no leaders in the party. It seems now he has opened the gates as some leaders started joining the party. Below is the list of those who joined or about to join the party.

  • Telugu Desam senior leader Kona Tata Rao, who worked as president of Telugu Desam party’s urban district unit and also as BC Corporation ex-Chairman, joined Janasena today. Before entering into politics, he worked in Steel Plant.
  • Cricket Venugopal Rao joined Janasena today. He started his career playing for Andhra Pradesh in domestic matches and he was middle order batsman and spin bowler.
  • Mandava Ravi, who is known for his Balaji Educational institutions joined Janasena today.
  • Konathal Sitaram, brother of Konathala Ramakrishna joined Janasena today.
  • Ex-MLA Gandi Babji said to be in talks with Pawan and mostly he would be joining the party soon.

As per reports, Pawan didn’t confirm tickets to any of these and clearly told them NOT to join if they are too specific on ticket. All these are almost like new comers or small time leaders. But, as per reports, even though there are some big leaders planning to join the party, Pawan wanted to join them at later stage as he didn’t want party to be started with turncoats.

Pawan fears of separate Uttarandhra movement

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan expressed his fears of seeing separate state movement in Uttarandhra if the region is neglected by the successive governments. After meeting the intellectuals in Visakhapatnam, the other day, Pawan Kalyan tweeted advising the rulers to concentrate on the development of backward regions.

Pawan Kalyan had made a similar statement when he visited the Rayalaseema districts and later in Vijayawada about the concentration of development in one place. Drawing a parallel between Hyderabad and Amaravati, Pawan Kalyan wanted the government to distribute the fruits of development equally to the 13 districts. He feared a separate movement in Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra on the lines of Telangana.

The three districts of Uttarandhra and the four districts of Rayalaseema have been backward for years, even in the combined Andhra Pradesh. It is for this reason, these seven districts were offered special package at the time of bifurcation. The Central government had released about Rs 350 crore to these seven districts in the first year. Unfortunately the State government had failed to utilise this money for these districts and allegedly spent the money on Amaravati.

This backwardness or neglect of the region might ignite anger of the people. When people in some parts of the state are suffering for lack of basic amenities like drinking water, the people in other parts are enjoying purified mineral water and that would signal a revolt like that of the Telangana. This is what Pawan Kalyan had tweeted and it is for the good of the people that he had cautioned to the rulers.

Ironically, Prakasam district too is a backward district but it did not get any patronage either by the State or the Centre. People from this district are migrating to other places and live away from home leaving children and aged parents at home. If this reality fails to convince the rulers, what Pawan Kalyan said would become a reality if not today.

Reason behind YSRCP spreading rumors on alliance with Janasena

Ever since Pawan started firing salvos at TDP supremo in March 2014, debate started whether Pawan Kalyan will support or ally with Jagan during 2019 elections. Yesterday, YSRCP MP Varaprasad announcing about Pawan supporting Jagan and YSRCP in the 2019 general elections created sort of political tremors across the state. It seems there have been strong reasons for YSRCP spreading on this.

Varaprasad and his announcement: Varaprasad is member of parliament from Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency since, 2014 from YSRCP party. He was IAS officer and held very high positions like principal secreatary in Tamil Nadu. He joined politics through PRP in 2009 and lost elections that time. He worked with Pawan Kalyan very closely during that time. That is the reason, his statements are drawing more attention from media regarding YSRCP alliance with Janasena. He told Pawan assured him that he will support YSRCP this time.

Reason for that statement as per Janasena: However Janasena spokespersons are condemning this news while YSRCP keeping mum on their questions. It is of everybody knowledge that YSRCP leaders can’t dare to give such key announcement without consent of Jagan. Then why Varaprasad gave such statement. As per janasena spokespersons, YSR CP Is demanding huge amounts for confirming MP and MLA tickets. In Rayalaseema region, where leader of more chances of winning seats are Do not hesitate to pay what the party is demanding but in coastal Andhra region, where YSRCP is not strong, leaders are not coming forward after seeing the humongous amounts quoted by Jagan party. Because of this,YSRCP started telling those leaders that Pawan Kalyan will support their party. But, still they were Sceptical about Pawan Kalyan supporting Jagan party before or after the elections. That is the reason Jagan asked Varaprasad to give such public announcement.

Will these rumors damage Pawan? Don ‘t they damage Jagan?

Meanwhile, analysts supporting YSRCP started subtle arguments that Pawan has to condemn these rumors Immediately otherwise it will damage prospects of Pawan. There are actually two sides for this coin. As per the analysts supporting YSRCP, if Pawan doesn’t condemn these rumors, people may think Pawan has to support either TDP or YSRCP but he can never be strong enough to go alone to the elections. That kind of thinking among people may hamper Pawan prospects in politics. This is one side of coin which YSRCP fans are believing. On the other hand, argument of Janasena fans is this: YSRCP leaders saying Pawan Kalyan is all there to support their party shows the emptiness of their earlier statements that they are very strong and will be coming into power in 2019. As per the latest announcement of Varaprasad, it looks like YSRCP desperately needs Pawan support and they are also sending the signal that, either TDP or YSCP need support of Pawan Kalyan to come into power.

Pawan Kalyan Moves to a New Rented House

0

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has got everyone by surprise by entering into politics through Janasena party earlier but he has been doing a good job in raising interesting questions. He has always been in forefront to understand the problems which are faced in the new Telugu state and often makes a point to interact with farmers as well. Now, the actor has moved into a new residence in Patamatalanka, Vijayawada along with his wife.

The couple did formal puja before moving into the house and the housewarming ceremony was quite simple and low profile. Off late, Pawan was staying in hotel whenever he is in Vijayawada and he has opened a Janasena party office in Ramavarappadu near Vijayawada.

This would obviously make things easier for Pawan Kalyan to look after party responsibilities and cement his base in the new capital!

Why Pawan Kalyan joined Ramana Deekshitulu now?

0

It is known news that Ramana Deekshitulu has fired salvos at TDP and AP government after he raked up controversy regarding embezzlement of Jewellery and particularly of one pink diamond from TTD. Complete coverage of the issue click here:

Ramana Deekshitulu Controversy: Issue, Reports and Paradoxes Also some facts regarding Pink diamond are covered here: (TTD , The Pink Diamond and Startling facts). Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan too now joined the bandwagon on people supporting Ramana Deekshitulu now. Let us see why is he doing this now.

Pawan arguments regarding the Pink diamond and other issues related to TTD :

Pawan started tweets saying, AP governments answers for the concerns raised by Ramana Dikshitulu are not satisfactory. In a series of tweets, he raised these points – ” According to AP Govt’s ‘Lord Balaji’s Pink Diamond missing theory’; any robber in the country can relieve jewellery from idols throwing a handful ofyou will find Jewelry embezzled coins at them while the procession is going on.ok, then what about other missing jewels stored in the Vaults. Why any Political Party or Individuals should be scared of ‘Ramana Deekshithulu Gari’s Deeksha to bring out the truth of missing TTD jewellery’; I will support his Deeksha. We still fight for Kohinoor diamond & when the Lord Balaji pink Diamond & other valuable jewellery is missing.. How come TDP & YSRCP so casual about it?? I am not going leave this issue till both of them press for CBI enquiry? Entire Nation is closely watching, how TDP & YSRCP will respond in this TTD jewels robbery issue? Whoever has robbed the Jewelry of Lord Balaji & the accomplices who supported the Robbers, they all will rot in hell & they will face the wrath of Kaliyuga Daivam ‘Lord Balaji’. Don’t divert the issue by saying why Ramana Deekshithulu garu kept quiet for this long.. Missing jewellery & his silence for this long are two different issues.Even Media highlighted this issue earlier but Govt sidetracked the issue. I want TDP to come out clean in this issue.” He also added, According to “someone”, Jewelry went to some middle east country in a private aircraft from our country.

Empty arguments of Pawan Kalyan:

  • Is it possible to take away jewellery that too of very high value in a private aircraft to other country . Pawan saying so revealing his nativity in politics.
  • He is questioning “ what about other missing jewels stored in the Vaults.” But he didn’t mention anything about Justice D P Wadhwa committee and Justice Jagannatha Rao committees that gave clean chit to TTD officials in the past. Does committees led by IAS officers and judges have no significance for Pawan?
  • He questioned – “How come TDP & YSRCP so casual about it”. Of course, until yesterday, before doing these tweets, Pawan is also “SO..SO…casual about it”. Why is that? For that matter, several leaders of YSRCP spoke about the issue earlier. Of course Vijayasai Reddy tickled funny bones of Telugu people when he said, “If CBN’s house is searched within 12 hours, you will find Jewelry embezzled from TTD in his house but if you delay more than 12 hours, CBN will hide all of it”.

Valid arguments of Pawan Kalyan

  • One thing is for sure, it all started after Amit Shah met Ramana Deekshitulu and BJP bigwigs might have asked him to raise this issue strongly. But we need to understand one thing, if everything is so ‘clean’ at TTD and there is no embezzlement of Jewelry or anything at TTD, and if this issue ‘doesn’t have any stuff to cause embarrassment to TDP, why BJP, which is said to master in political strategizing, will take up such issue. BJP taking up this issue and attempting to keep the issue in limelight means they might have some bigger plans in raising this issue and they might have some ‘inside’ information or evidence.
  • There has been debate on how a diamond will be broken because of coins thrown by devotees. Pawan raised the same issue now. Earlier, TTD officials told, it is not a diamond but just a ruby and so it can be broken. But why would “Mysore Maharaja” donate a ruby to TTD and why would TTD treat a ruby like a very precious thing for hundreds of years. These are the questions that are never answered by TTD properly.

Why Pawan Kalyan has taken up this now

Why is Pawan supporting this issue – is it for Brahmin and other Hindu devotee votes, OR is it because the issue has ‘potential’ to malign TDP irrespective of whether it has truth or not OR is it because there is some percentage of truth in what Ramana Deekshitulu saying and by supporting him Janasena may get some mileage. If we observe carefully, all political conspiracies, like thriller and suspense movies, start at some point and finally end up with some other unexpected point. Remember Sri Reddy started the issue in social media with “casting couch” issue and with each passing day, targeted Pawan Kalyan and tried to damage his image? Same way, this Ramana Deekshitulu issue might be starting at Pink diamond and nobody knows where it leads to and where it ends up. But even a political sketch by other parties will not work out unless there is some truth.

We will have to wait and see how this issue turns in future, especially after seeing the efforts by various stakeholders to keep the issue alive

Janasena chief to resume tour from 26th?

0

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan gave a long break for his ongoing north Andhra tour because of Ramzan festival. Even though he got terrific response from people during his tour, with this sudden and long break to tour enthusiasm fizzled down on his tour. However some say, he has undergone eye surgery (https://www.telugu360.com/ramzan-is-over-pawan-did-not-resume-his-tour/)

Now the latest news coming from Janasena quarters is he is all set to resume his tour from 26th June. As per reports he is coming to Vijayawada on 23rd June and will stay there for couple of days and after that he will resume the tour from Vishakhapatnam district from 26th.

We will have to wait and see if he continues the tour this time continuously without any long breaks or not.

Janasena will split votes but can’t get seats: TG Venkatesh

0

T. G. Venkatesh, businessman turned politician and currently TDP MP from Rajya Sabha said, Janasena can only split votes but can’t get seats and can not come into power in 2019.

T. G. Venkatesh, who served as minister for Minor Irrigation during the government of Kiran Kumar Reddy, added BJP is deceiving people by not granting special category status. BJP destroyed entire Banking system in the country, he remarked. He also opined demonetization was wrong decision by BJP.

When asked about janasena and other parties, he told, all the parties are trying to malign the government of AP led by TDP and requested these parties to cooperate on developing the state.

Ramzan is over, Pawan did not resume his tour

0

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan gave break to his north Andhra tour saying it is because of Ramzan and many members of his staff belong to Muslim community. He was supposed to resume his tour from today as Ramzan is over but Pawan didn’t start his tour yet.

There has been criticism that, Pawan is not consistent in his political career. Now the way Pawan is doing his ‘yatra’ is also in sync with those critical comments, say some analysts.

On the other hand, some Janasena fans are saying there was some eye surgery happened to Pawan last week and that’s why he needs some more time before he resume his tour. It can be recalled that he spoke about his eye infection during Rangasthalam success meet too. But Pawan was seen celebrating meeting some Muslim fans who came to see him on Ramzan day.

We will have to wait and see when he is going to resume his tour.

That was my biggest mistake, says Pawan Kalyan. But is it really ?

Pawan Kalyan who is in North Andhra tour currently maid a statement that it was his biggest mistake of not contesting in the 2014 elections. He told, if he had contested, even if his Jansena had got 5-10 seats in the 2014 elections, he would have ensured discussion in AP assembly itself and the corruption and failures of TDP government.

As part of his Praja porata Yatra, he was addressing public meetings held in Pudur, Madagala and Narsipatnam in Visakhapatnam district and he made these comments in that public meeting. He also countered the statement of Chandrababu Naidu that “ Pawan has changed in recent times”. Pawan reply saying, he did not change but it was Chandrababu Naidu who changed his stand on special status for 36 times so far.

This is not first time Pawan Kalyan making this kind of statement. Earlier also he told that he should have contested in 2014 elections so that he would have some representation in AP assembly. However, whether Pawan knows or not, it was for his good that he did not contest the elections. Had he really contested in 2014 and won 5 to 10 seats, guessing what would have happened by now is not very difficult. Along with 20 MLAs of YSR CP, probably these 5 to 10 MLAs also might have joined TDP by now. Or even worse, those MLAs might have merged the party with TDP by now, similar to how TDP merged with TRS in Telangana. Had this happened it would have been more humiliating than PRP experience. Probably , by knowing this only Pawan Kalyan did not contest for any seats in 2014 as he was not in a position to win major chunk or even demand more seats that time.

Despite all this he is now saying, his party should have contested in 2014 and win 5-10 seats, only to give impression to people that his party will strive for solving issues of people even if it doesn’t come to power. This stand is exactly opposite to what opposition leader Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stand who has been saying he will be able to solve the problems of people once he comes to power. Moreover, YSRCP MLAs have not been attending assembly for sometime and they may not attend any more sessions until elections. So, by giving this kind of statements, Pawan Kalyan is subtly targeting YSRCP. Also by mentioning 5-10 seats, he is trying to project himself as someone not a power monger.

We will have to wait and see whether this strategy helps him or not

How much vote bank does Janasena have? ( Part-3)

We have discussed in the previous articles that there has been a debate on how much vote percentage Janasena is going to have. We have seen in previous article that PRP had 19.19% vote bank in 175 constituencies of AP in 2009 ( https://www.telugu360.com/how-much-vote-bank-does-janasena-have-part-2/ ). We will see the arguments for and against the point – Janasena will get more than this 19.19 % or not.

What Janasena opponents say:

But there is no guarantee that this 19.19% vote bank of PRP will shift to Janasena because of below reasons:

First time benefit of doubt: When Chiranjeevi’s party founded people had interest to give it a chance for the new party, but after seeing PRP debacle, people lost interest in such part time parties and this will work against Janasena

Not all 16.22% because of Chiranjeevi: Even though Chiranjeevi got 16.22% vote bank (total AP), not all is because of Chiranjeevi. Leaders like Shobha Nagireddy, Katasani, Ganta (1st place), Tammineni Sitharam, Jyothula Nehru (2nd place) – all of them got votes because of their own image and cadre rather than Chiranjeevi. If such big leaders don’t join Janasena, Janasena’s vote% will be definitely less than PRP.

Leaders are now more careful: When PRP launched, many big leaders from TDP and INC joined PRP and most of them became politically extinct later. Some leaders like actor Krishnam Raju later opined, joining PRP was a historical mistake. Because of that experience, now big leaders are more careful in taking decision of joining new parties. Without leaders, Pawan can’t run the show alone for so long and there will be drop in total vote % too.

Pawan character: Pawan is inconsistent compared to Chiranjeevi. None knows how he behaves. This may hamper party prospects. Matured voter will re-think before voting for Janasena.

Finally, Janasena opponents conclude that – It is silly to think all those who voted for PRP will vote again for Janasena and people can’t be cheated again and again and so Janasena may end-up max 5 to 10% vote bank that too because of the fans from his caste and youth fans from other castes.

Janasena fans say:

Fans of Janasena, on the other hand, predict more vote% than PRP 2009 experience. They say below reasons

Sticky vote bank of PRP: People who voted for Chiranjeevi were all hard-core fans and they voted PRP despite knowing PRP will not win. They voted despite all the negative propaganda of media on PRP. This vote bank is “sticky” vote bank and will not disappear except for 1 or 2%

No YSR: Many opine YSR was very strong in 2009 because of Arogya sri and other scemes and so many fans of Chiranjeevi too voted for INC in 2009. But now CBN is not that strong (reportedly) and Jagan is no YSR and this helps janasena get its due share in vote bank and so it will be definitely more vote % than PRP.

Pawan vs Chiru: Pawan got the image of genuine person unlike Chiranjeevi who got the image of “commercial person”. This is evident from the fact that when PRP formed, many people from film industry including – Dasari, Jeevitha-Rajasekhar, Mohan Babu, Narasimha Raju, Tammareddy, Natti Kumar, and many more lambasted Chiranjeevi on various aspects. On the other hand, Pawan is getting appreciation from many in the industry especially for his character and helping nature. Moreover Chiranjeevi had no knowledge on issues but Pawan worked on issues like Uddanam that helped him gain good image

Bifurcation and Kapu factor: Bifurcation helped change caste equations. In united AP, Telangana region had more BC population and coastal region had more Kapu population. But bifurcation disturbed this balance and now AP has high % of Kapu caste and this may help Pawan and Janasena. Kapu vote bank may tilt result this time and it is assessed, Kapu impact on final result will be even more this time compared to 2009. BJP leader Manikyala Rao recently commented that 80% of Kapu voters are with Pawan now. In 2009, most of the kapu voters did not go with PRP because of various reasons like Polavaram, YSR factor, Kapu icons like Dasari opposing Chiru etc. But no numbers on how many Kapu voters

PRP seems to have become an asset rather than liability as Pawan seems to have learnt from PRP mistakes. So far he didn’t have any major self-goal. He is slowly but rightly building his base.

Conclusion: While Janasena opponents rubbish Pawan getting anything more than 5 – 10% votes and not more than 15-20 seats, Janasena fans predict more than 20% vote bank and expect him to become King maker like JDS Kumaraswamy with good number of seats in north andhra and Godavari districts.

Click here of How much vote bank does Janasena have? ( Part-1)

But politics are too dynamic to analyze 1 year before elections. We will have to monitor the events, twists and turns in next one year and see which leaders are joining Janasena. We may get closer numbers by next January or February.

How much vote bank does Janasena have? ( Part-2)

We have discussed in the previous article that there has been a debate on how much vote percentage Janasena is going to have. In a recent interview, Pawan told, he had 18% vote bank in 2014 and that helped TDP pull it off as Janasena did not contest but only supported TDP. ( https://www.telugu360.com/how-much-vote-bank-does-janasena-have-part-1/ )

Any discussion on Janasena tend to get comparison with PRP. Political opponents always say, Janasena will also end up another disaster like PRP. Political supporters of Janasena always say PRP got good vote percentage but votes did not properly convert into seats. PRP got 17% vote bank but only 18 seats out of 294 seats. Had this 17% votes converted to seats, it would have been 50 seats for PRP. But parties with no cadre and new political parties always will have this difference between vote percentage and seat percentage.

Let us use this PRP vote bank data to help assess Janasena vote bank. Whether people agree or not, both Chiranjeevi and Pawan got huge hype for their parties because of 2 factors – one is, they belong highly populous Kapu caste and people have tendency to vote based on caste equations in India, second they have huge fan following among youth belonging to other castes too and voting behavior of youth always confused psephologists. Because of this similarities, PRP voting pattern and result definitely give us sufficient clues on Janasena vote bank.

PRP performance is as below in 2009. Out of 175 assembly seats (excluding Telangana region):

PRP stood at 1st Place: 16 seats (18 seats out of 294 including Telangana)

PRP stood at 2nd Place: 27 seats

PRP stood at 3rd place: 128 seats

If we see vote percentage for PRP including Telangana, stats are as below:

Total votes polled in AP (including Telangana) for PRP: 68,20,845

Total votes polled in AP (including Telangana) for all parties: 42058446

PRP vote percentage in entire state 6820845/42058446 = 16.2175

PRP fans and Chiranjeevi always say, PRP got 17% vote bank and 70 lakh votes. Probably they did “too much of rounding-off” and Trivikram might have got the definition of “round figure” from them and used that concept of round-figure in his Khaleja movie. Just kidding. To be specific, PRP got 68,20,845 votes ( 1,79,155 less than 70 lakh) and 16.2175 %

Click here for part-3 -How much vote bank does Janasena have?

If we see vote percentage for PRP excluding Telangana, stats are as below:

Total votes polled in AP (excluding Telangana region) for PRP: 48,41,918

Total votes polled in AP (excluding Telangana) for all parties: 25223976

PRP vote percentage in AP (excluding Telangana) 48,41,918/2,52,23976 = 19.196

There might be approximations in the decimal fractions of this percentage, as some postal votes are not considered.

We will see in next article whether this 19.19 will be retained for Janasena or not.

Paritala Sunitha positive comments on Pawan

0

It is known news that Pawan has rebelled against TDP in the month of March and since then he has been firing salvos at TDP and its supremo Chandra Babu Naidu. After that, as expected, TDP leaders are started retaliating Pawan strongly. But Paritala Sunitha’s today’s comments surprised many as she showed soft corner towards Pawan.

She told Pawan should support TDP once again and that will help AP state. She also asked Pawan to give suggestions for the development of state and work with TDP. It is known news that Pawan has good rapport with Paritala family in recent times and he went to her house during his Anantapur tour. They cordially invited him and offered him sumptuous breakfast but he didn’t have food there because of ill-health. Paritala Sunitha and Paritala Sriram even had closed door meeting with Pawan and no one knows what transpired between them.

Meanwhile, Janasena fans started predicting Paritala Sunitha may join Janasena. But it would be silly to assume this family leaves TDP given the fact that they have decades old association with TDP and specifically, late Paritala Ravi’s very close association with Chandra Babu. But at the same time, it could not be completely dismissed too. There have been rumours that all is not well with Paritala Sriram and Lokesh, even though Sriram condemned those rumours. Moreover, JC Diwakar Reddy is getting closer to CBN and in a position of controlling district politics because of his proximity with CBN. This, according to Janasena fans, might have triggered Paritala Sunitha to keep her options open. Also, supporting Pawan earlier is different as he was also supporting TDP then. But nowadays, he is lambasting TDP on daily basis and doing or at least trying to do damage to TDP every day. Asking for his support at this juncture is raising many eyebrows now. Moreover, Pawan Kalyan told, almost 40 MLAs of TDP Party are constantly in touch with him and are willing to join Janasena. This is also another reason for people suspect whether she will consider joining Janasena.

At this moment, Sunitha’s comments have to be considered as expression of her intention of bringing TDP into power once again rather than her soft corner for Janasena. But, of course, anything can happen in politics. We have to wait and see if there is any truth in these rumours of Janasena.

Pawan Kalyan gives serious warning to TDP

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had given a serious warning to the ruling Telugu Desam Party leaders on attacking him. “You will not be able to move on the roads if you don’t stop attributing motives to me. My Jana Sainiks would seal your future if you continue like this,” was all that Pawan Kalyan had told the TDP leaders.

Intensifying his attack on the corruption and failures of the TDP government in the State in the last four years, Jana Sena chief is addressing the people at various places and at every meeting Pawan Kalyan is hitting the TDP leaders hard. He went strong and hard against the government for spending Rs 13 crore in the name of Nava Nirmana Deeksha where the Chief Minister makes political speeches. “The government should have spent this money to provide drinking water to the people or health care to the kidney disease victims of Uddanam area,” he felt.

Focusing more on the Uttarandhra, Pawan Kalyan is targeting the TDP and YSR Congress leaders from this region holding them responsible for the backwardness. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Atchanniadu from the TDP and Botsa Satyanarayana from the YSR Congress are his targets since he started his tour in the region on May 20. “The leaders from this region have grown big over the years. They are rich and developed too. But the people and the region remained backward. They are responsible for this backwardness,” was the scathing attack that Pawan made on these leaders.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan is not sparing Nara Lokesh wherever he addressed a meeting. There were instances where he did not mention the name of Chandrababu Naidu but referred to Lokesh accusing him of indulging in high corruption. Sometimes it looks like Pawan Kalyan is targeting Lokesh more than anyone indicating that he is intending to seal the young Minister’s future.

Ready to campaign for Janasena: Sai Dharam Tej

1

It is known news that recently Ram Charan Tej expressed his willingness to campaign for Janasena party and Pawan Kalyan. He told if his Babai requests to do so, he will be there for him next minute. Now another hero from mega family expressed similar opinion. Sai Dharam Tej expressed his opinion with media during a private event.

Sai Dharam Tej and heroine Catherine were at Rajahmundry for a private event. After the event he was chit chatting with media and obviously media asked the question about his support for Pawan Kalyan and Janasena party. He told there is no doubt that he is ready to campaign for Pawan Kalyan, and he will do whatever Kalyan asks him for. However we have seen Pawan Kalyan’s response on Ram Charan comments already that he will not specifically call anyone into his party and also politics is not everyone’s cup of tea. probably Pawan Kalyan respond the same way for Sai Dharam Tej comments also.

Sai Dharam Tej is currently busy shooting for the movie “ Tej I love you”.

How much vote bank does Janasena have? ( Part-1)

10

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan is currently doing “Praja Porata Yatra” in North Andhra region and so far is getting tremendous response from people. As he completely focused on politics nowadays, people started taking him seriously. Moreover, after Pawan Kalyan open war with TDP since 14th March, political equations in the state have changed so rapidly. there has been discussion in political circles as well as by the analysts about how much what Bank does janasena really have? How many seats will janasena really get?

In fact, Pawan Kalyan was asked the same question by reporter in an interview recently. Of course every party says they are going to get maximum seats and maximum votes in the upcoming elections. Pawan Kalyan is no exception for this. But he answered this question in his own style.

Pawan Kalyan remarked that, in 2009 itself, PRP had around 24% for banks in Andhra Pradesh region ( actually it got 17% vote bank in the combined state but more votes came from AP region than region Telangana region). He told, janasena was able to influence around 18% vote bank in 2014. He added, even though votes difference between TDP and ysrcp in 2014 is just 5 lakh votes at the end, the situation was quite different before elections. Pawan added, there was an intelligence report that went to Sonia Gandhi before elections regarding the possible outcome of elections. As per that intelligence report, TDP would get only 39 – 56 seats in 2014 elections. Out of these seats too, only in 20 seats TDP was having more than 18 thousand majority and in the rest of the seats there will be 3- 4 thousand majority only. Moreover, as per the same report YSRCP was about to get 127 seats. It is only after janasena joined TDP, situations changed. Janasena filled that 18% gap TDP has and It finally helped TDP to get one percent more votes than YSRCP. Pawan Kalyan concluded saying, Janasena now has even more vote bank than what it had in 2014 and Janasena is starting with 31% vote bank now.

Janasena – Concerted effort on all fronts

2

Many political analysts overlooked Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena party until very recently, tagging it as a Pro-TDP, and Pro-BJP party. Things completely took a U-turn after the ‘Janasena Aavirbha Sabha’, held on March 14 2018. What seemed like a pro-TDP party, became the most anti-TDP party in a matter of hours.

No wonder the Telugu News Channels dubbed Janasenani as the greatest threat to CBN’s CM chair in the upcoming elections. Similarly, Janasena party maintained silence when Senior TDP MP, and former Central Cabinet Minister Ashoka Gajapathi Raju claimed that he has no idea who is Pawan Kalyan.

The same thing has been brought to light in the ongoing Srikakulam Tour of Pawan Kalyan. The Janasenani reminded that he went for campaigning for Ashoka Gajapathi Raju in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections to Vizianagaram, after the latter requested. TDP leaders are giving enough opportunities for Pawan Kalyan to target. Meanwhile, Janasena is using the ‘baseless comments’ by TDP leaders against them.

At the same time, Janasena representatives are shedding light on the happening things in the state, rather than indulging in hypothetical claims, and baseless allegations. Janasena is cleverly deploying its statements across social media. The sarcastic jibes taken by Pawan at CBN, Lokesh, and TDP, is circulating widely on YouTube, and social media.

It won’t be long before the Telugu TV News Channels start focusing on Janasenani, given the TRP he brings.
