Janasena, CPI and CPM form an alliance! Temporary or Permanent?

0

It is official. Janasena and both the Left parties (CPI and CPM) have come into an alliance, giving rise to a new political entity. CPI AP Secretary Ramakrishna has confirmed the same in a press meet. From here onwards, this ‘alliance’ will fight against the problems of people in the Uttharandhra and Rayalaseema regions. ‘The first meeting of our alliance will be held in Ananthapur’, said Ramakrishna.
While this is a welcome move from the three parties, it still fails to answer basic questions, especially from Janasena point of view. The parties nowhere mentioned, where the alliance will be taking forward into the elections or is limited to the ‘SCS movement’, and solving the problems of the people.

Factually speaking, CPI and CPM have lost their grip on AP politics long time back. They hardly have any impact on the assembly polls. What’s stands on their side is genuineness and clear politics unlike other leading parties in the state. Meanwhile, this isn’t the case with Janasena that is still trying to find a way to strengthen its party core.

The upcoming ‘SCS Movement’ by these parties, is like a litmus test for the Janasena party, in view of the upcoming polls.

PK to announce indefinite strike? Vijayawada Meetings schedule confirmed!

0

Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan has announced that he would participate in a string of successive meetings on April 4th and April 5th in Vijayawada. Speaking to the media, Pawan Kalyan said that, ‘I will be taking part in the party meetings along with key members of the party, and the cadre. The meetings will take place on April 4 and 5’.

It is also expected that Pawan Kalyan will be making key statements regarding party internal affairs, and necessary steps that need to be taken to strengthen the party from within. Janasena already announced that statewide ‘SCS Movement’ will be carried out, in collaboration with Left parties (CPI and CPM) and Lok Satta. In this context, the upcoming meetings in Vijayawada have gained political importance.

Credible sources reported that Pawan Kalyan will participate in large public meetings in the major districts of Andhra Pradesh. Through the ‘SCS Movement’, the quad-party group is planning to educate the people about the benefits the State will have with the SCS.

Post the series of public meetings, Pawan Kalyan is likely to start indefinite strike for Special Category Status in Anantapur district.

Janasena and YSRCP boycott CBN’s ‘All party meet’

0

Janasena party and YSRCP has boycotted the ‘All Party Meet’ called by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. With speculations rife that the NCM will be moved in the Lok Sabha today, the AP CM has called for an ‘All Party Meet’.CBN sent a Letter of Invitation to all parties and NGOs, that are protesting for ‘AP Special Category Status’. The main agenda of the meeting is to make it clear that, all parties in AP are standing united about AP SCS.

Janasena stated that there no use of this meeting, and hence is boycotting it. Political circles believe that TDP leaders backlash at Pawan Kalyan in the recent past kept Janasena further away from the All Party Meet.

Meanwhile, YSRCP listed out the reasons for not attending the meet in a letter written to Chandrababu. The letter read, ‘we have no trust in Chandrababu’s integrity, and don’t want to be a part of this conspiracy. CBN’s stance on AP SCS kept on changing with time. CBN is trying to snub the SCS movement in the State with this meeting’.

With Janasena, and YSRCP boycotting, and CPI/CPM hardly having any impact, the ‘All Party Meet’ is turning out to be a TDP & Co. meeting. CBN’s dream of leading the SCS Movement are likely to fail once again.

Janasena, CPI and CM to start ‘SCS Movement’ – CPM Madhu

0

After his meeting with Janasena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan, and other left parties’ leaders, CPM Leader (former MP) Penumalli Madhu said that Janasena, CPI and CPM are working closely to come up with the SCS Movement.

‘Janasena, CPI and CPM have come together build a strong movement statewide. We are initially planning to build the movement in Uttharandhra, Rayalseema districts and Prakasham district. We intend to carryout protests on a large scale for the implementation of commitments mentioned in the AP Reorganization Act.

It is highly unacceptable if the Centre says it will implement these commitments over a 40-year-timeline. Amit Shah’s letter is just an example of ‘blame game’. BJP and TDP have completely ignored the interests of the state, and today’s youth is wishing for a new political system’, said Madhu.

The recent development left both TDP and BJP in shock. TDP has been waiting like a cunning fox to expose Pawan Kalyan’s alleged back-up from BJP. While BJP hope that that Pawan will fall to dust over SCS. We can expect Janasena to team up with the Left Parties in 2019 AP Assembly elections.

Why should I respond to a letter by Amit Shah? – PK

0

Possibly for the first time, Pawan Kalyan’s statements have made deep sense. The Janasena Chief met with the left parties on the ongoing protests for ‘Special Category Status’. The meeting went on for over 3 ½ hours. Talking to the media post the meeting, Pawan Kalyan made some interesting comments.

Reacting to a reporter’s question on the letter written by Amit Shah Pawan Kalyan said, ‘There is no need to consider the letter written by Amit Shah. He has written the letter, as the President of a national party. If the Centre sends a letter to the AP Government, we will then consider it, and react accordingly’.

‘The people of Andhra Pradesh are losing out on many opportunities due Special Category Status. Especially, the north-coastal districts and Rayalaseema districts are being most affected. The state government has failed again and again to develop basic infrastructure in these districts’, said Pawan Kalyan.

Putting aside his criticism on the State Government, Pawan Kalyan rightly pointed out that, there is no need to respond to a letter from a party. At the same time, people should understand that it is the Centre vs State, and not the BJP vs TDP on an official front.

JD Lakshmi Narayana to play key role in Jana sena

3

Many people in AP have soft corner for former CBI Joint Director Lakshmi Narayana who investigated many high profile cases like Disproportionate Assets case of YS Jagan, Satyam Ramalinga Raju and mining case of Gali Janardhan Reddy. He is more remembered with his designation JD (Joint director) that almost became his surname, though he is not in that position since long time. He recently resigned to his job to join politics. Rumors are rife that he is all set to join Jana sena party. But here is latest update on his joining that party. It seems this has been long drawn sketch.

As per the info from top level sources, JD Lakshmi Narayana is all set to take a leadership role in Jana Sena. That position will be something like a working president with Pawan in the background as party leader. As per the sources, this is all plan of BJP government at center. BJP bigwigs feel JD Lakshmi Narayana has very good credibility in Telugu states and moreover he is from Kapu community. Ajit Doval and Governor Narasimhan are his friends and this entire sketch is directed from Governor’s office, if the reports are to be believed. So they are bringing him to Janasena so that they can split Kapu votes to kill TDP.

So, the reports that are coming all are suggesting that BJP is hellbent on destroying TDP party. We have to wait and see how the events will turn in future!!!

I do not have loopholes like you (TDP & YSRCP) – Pawan Kalyan

0

With one speech, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan has completely changed the political equations both at the Centre and State. Pawan Kalyan carried the tag as ‘Chandrababu Agent’ for quite some time. With the speech on Janasena Formation Day, the tag changed to ‘BJP Agent’.

Putting an end to all speculations, controversies, and rumours around him, Pawan Kalyan continued his blatant attack on BJP, TDP and YSRCP.
Pawan Kalyan, who is currently stationed in Guntur, reacted fiercely to criticism from TDP leaders, since morning. Speaking to the media, Pawan Kalyan said, ‘everyone claimed that I was a TDP agent until a few days back. And now, the TDP leaders are terming me as a BJP agent. If you lose your tongue, I might have to react strongly. Do keep that in mind.

Only I can fight with the NDA government at the Centre. You (TDP & YSRCP) people don’t have the guts to go fight against the NDA government. I do not have loopholes, nor have necessities like you. I have nothing to fear. We are only afraid of the people, and the god. How can you even say that I am reading out a script, or working for someone?’, questioned Pawan Kalyan.

The triangular fight between TDP – YSRCP – Janasena will definitely lead to a revolution in AP politics.

Pawan Kalyan visits Guntur Diarrhoea victims in GGH

0

Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan visited the families of Diarrhoea victims. He has already stated that he would be in Guntur until March 18th. Pawan visited diarrhoea patients in the GGH (Guntur Government Hospital) and demanded that the government should immediately grant ex-gratia.

Talking to the media, Pawan Kalyan said, ‘In Guntur, almost everything is adulterated and contaminated. The same is the case with drinking water too. It is the minimum responsibility of the government to supply clean and safe drinking water. If the govt. fails to even supply safe and clean drinking water, how will the government develop Andhra Pradesh?

The government punish the public representatives and officials who are responsible for this.

If the higher officials take bribes, how can they question their subordinates? On behalf of the people, Janasena Party demands the government to declare ‘Medical Emergency’ in Guntur. The government should announce ex-gratia for the families of the deceased.

At the same time, the government should send a senior IAS-level official to Guntur until the whole thing is sorted out. I did not find any cooperators here. It is unclear whether the local authorities don’t have enough resources, or the willingness to work.
The State government should come up with a permanent solution for the problem’.

TDP MLA Peethala Sujatha ‘mega’ counter to Pawan Kalyan!

3

Chintalapudi MLA, TDP leader Peethala Sujatha came down lashing at Pawan Kalyan, over his latest allegations on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh. Addressing a special press meet, Peethala Sujatha said, ‘Pawan Kalyan is making allegations on CM Chandrababu Naidu garu and Nara Lokesh only for political mileage. I demand apologies from Pawan Kalyan over his recent remarks on TDP, AP CM, and Lokesh.

He is boasting that he came into politics to question everyone. If that is true, I challenge him to question his brother MP Chiranjeevi. Why is MP Chiranjeevi not attending Rajya Sabha sessions? Why is MP Chiranjeevi not fighting for AP Special Category Status?

It is funny to hear that Pawan Kalyan, who is constructing his new house in 2 acres, is questioning about the land required for AP Capital. The political countdown for Pawan Kalyan has begun’.

It will be interesting to see whether Pawan Kalyan would respond to these comments or not. Even if he does respond, what would be his answer regarding his brother, Chiranjeevi’s numbness on AP SCS as rightly pointed out by Peethala Sujatha?

Pawan Kalyan addresses NRIs in Vijayawada

1

Pawan Kalyan addressed the NRI Wing of Janasena Party. With last evening’s fiery speech in Guntur, all eyes are on the NR meeting. Speaking to NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), Pawan Kalyan called for their support and backing for the state of Andhra Pradesh and Janasena party too.
He said, ‘we are not looking NRIs as a fundraising option or a monetary bank. Instead, we request you to support the state, given your wide connections in the US. I only have very limited connections in the US’.

It is understood that Pawan Kalyan pledged the NRIs to take part in active politics of Telugu states. ‘Pawan Kalyan asked whether the NRIs had any doubts regarding his approach or party’s stance on various issues raised at the meeting yesterday. NRIs came from different countries and attended the meeting voluntarily. Valuing and respecting their presence, Pawan Kalyan met them. At the same time, he wanted them to be the ambassadors of Janasena internationally, and carry forward welfare programs’, said a party source.

Over 40 NRIs have reportedly attended the Janasena Formation Day party meeting last evening in Guntur.

Exclusive – Pawan’s quid pro quo deal with NRI for Amaravati house

Jana Sena supremo Pawan Kalyan on Monday performed Bhoomi Puja for his new house which is all set to be constructed in 2.07 acres of land at 368/B1 survey number at KAZA, in Guntur district. The land rates in this area are sky-high at a minimum of Rs 2 crore per acre. However, Kalyan secured that land for a minuscule rate as low as 10 percent of the market value. According to the government land registration document, the land was secured at about Rs 20 Lakh per acre. As per the records, Kalyan purchased the 2.07 acres of land at Rs 41,40,000. ( While prices are volatile, Realtors in the area told Telugu360 that current market price of some of the plots is more than Rs 10 Cr per acre in area that Pawan is building the house)

As per highly placed sources, there is a settlement story in itself around buying this land at throwaway prices, with Rajahmundry real estate as backdrop and Janasena party office as base. Prasad who was an NRI, returned from US and ventured into real estate business initially in Hyderabad, after which he aspired to construct high-rise apartment in Rajahmundry. He secured all the approvals for the construction of the building at a land identified in Rajahmundry only to be stalled by a well-known litigant Someswararao from East Godavari who also happens to be a relative of Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabam.

While the two parties were taking help of local rural and Urban MLAs of Rajahmundry, NRI Prasad reached out to Jana Sena’s key member Maarisetti Raghavaiah. He sought help of them, promised to bear the cost of construction of Jana Sena office or Kalyan’s home if the Rajamundry land matter is sorted out. Raghavaiah who took permission of Kalyan and with the help of then ex-DGP, successfully stalled the litigant Rao and Prasad got his land out from litigation. With the help of a retired IAS officer (Ex IT Commissioner), who is also a political aspirant, NRI Prasad ensured that the 2-acre land set-aside for Sahiti Constructions by LEPL ( Lingamaneni Estates Pvt. Ltd) has been registered for Pawan Kalyan at throwaway price. It may be recalled that LEPL owns the river front guest house which is the residence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu

Directly Jana Sena party member and indirectly Kalyan were part of this quid-pro-quo between the litigant and the real estate builder.

News papers coverage on Pawan speech

0

Janasena Formation Day Meeting and Pawan’s speech during the meeting creating lot of tremors in the state. Though some of the points he raised are debatable, overall he was successful in expressing his stand and clearly drawing battle lines for 2019 elections. Even though this is digital age and people get live stream on their mobiles, still the coverage of a news in print media plays important role in moulding public opinion. Here’s how various news papers covers this news.

Sakshi

Sakshi covered the news in front page but just gave ‘lead news’ in first page and gave full news in inside paper. Obviously, Jagan’s speech during padayatra (as usual) is the banner story of the day. However, it is after so many days, Pawan got space (even though a few centimetres lead news) in front page of Sakshi. Usually, Sakshi either ignores Pawan’s news or covers it like insignificant news. This time, though covered the full news in 10th page, it seems, editors took enough care to make the article suit the agenda of the party. They didn’t highlight the critical comments Pawan made on Jagan but fully highlighted ‘Lokesh corruption’ news. Another topic that Sakshi did not miss to cover is Pawan saying TDP leaders amassing money as TDP leaders are scared about Jagan coming into power.

EENADU

Eenadu covered it as banner story of the day. However, as always, Eenadu gave enough importance to both sides of the coin by publishing Chandra Babu’s explanation on the allegations also on front page. Inside the paper also, it covered the speech in full page. Eenadu covered almost all the aspects of the speech.

Andhra Jyothy

Jyothy also gave full coverage to the speech. It also published banner story on this. Andhra Jyothy also gave one full page coverage. Andhra Jyothy too published Chandra Babu’s response on allegations. Moreover it published news of Shekhar Reddy saying he never met Lokesh.

Overall, Eenadu and Jyothy gave good coverage while Sakshi coverage was comparatively less and selective.

Prof. K Nageshwar On Pawan Kalyan Targeting Chandrababu Naidu

Contrary to the widespread political expectations that the ruling TDP and the Pawan Kalyan’s JanaSena will be allies in 2019, the JanaSena Chief made a frontal attack on TDP rule. More so his personal attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh has certainly triggered a major political storm in already politically volatile state of Andhra Pradesh.

It is true that the TDP was keen on forging an electoral alliance with JanaSena especially after it estranged BJP. The recent defeats of BJP in Uttar Pradesh by polls enthused TDP as the party felt that its decision to pull out ministers from Modi ministry and ultimately quitting NDA is a politically correct decision. But, Pawan Kalyan’s jape at Naidu and his son shall prove to be a major setback to TDP political maths in the run up to 2019.

The TDP won the 2014 with a slender margin of little over two percent votes when the BJP and the JanaSena were with the TDP. Now, that the BJP will no longer be the electoral ally of TDP, the latter would certainly loose some percentage of votes, notwithstanding the calculation that people of Andhra Pradesh are hostile to BJP due to its denial of Special Status. The TDP in fact expected to compensate this loss to an extent by retaining the friendship with Pawan Kalyan. Besides, Pawan was a critical factor in enlisting the support of Kapus for TDP in 2014. The Kapu vote is a decisive factor in a at least 40 seats in the 175 member Legislative assembly of Andhra Pradesh. The TDP can even face some level of anti-incumbency by the time elections approach. Given these factors, JanaSena’s support is essential for the TDP to retain power in 2019. No other party can be an ally for TDP. With the hostile attitude taken by the JanaSena, the TDP has to face the polls on its own.

There are two distinct theories being floated in the political circles on the question of what would be the political fallout of Pawan’s latest tirade targeted at TDP.

Firstly, as section of political opinion especially YSR Congress still feels that Pawan factor is choreographed to suit Chandrababu Naidu’s interests in 2019. With Pawan taking anti-government stand, the opposition vote would further get fragmented thus in ultimate analysis benefitting the ruling TDP.
However, a second interpretation could be JanaSena will be getting both the anti-incumbency vote as well as the votes that TDP could have polled if Pawan has not taken a strident anti-Naidu position.
The second explanation could be more nearer to reality as Pawan is part of the 2014 mandate in favour of TDP. Any exit of Pawan Kalyan would certainly cost the TDP.

Thus, Andhra Pradesh is to witness a much more serious multi-cornered contest as Janasena will now be in the electoral fray unlike 2014.

The BJP will anyhow be the target of all the political parties in the State. The relatively soft stand of Jaganmohan Reddy towards BJP despite he strongly advocating Special Status to Andhra Pradesh would prove to be dearer as Pawan joins the campaign against the saffron brigade on the question of Special Status. As Pawan Kalyan announced his decision to go on fast unto death amidst TDP, YSRCP MPs protesting in Parliament, the Special Status issue will become much more sharper.

PK’s special request for Security – Open letter to AP DGP

0

Janasena party chief Pawan Kalyan wrote an open letter to the AP DGP M Malakondaiah. In his letter, Pawan Kalyan has highlighted past instances of the inconvenience to the public and requested for personal security even after the Janasena Formation Day meeting. The massive public gathering will take place in Guntur district tomorrow evening.

Following is a (brief) transcript of Pawan Kalyan’s open letter to the AP DGP. ‘I heartily thank the police department for offering security towards the Janasena Formation Day meeting.

At the same time, I kindly request you to continue the security provided to me even after the meeting. I am not requesting security for the fan following I enjoy. Given the ongoing movements by various castes and sections of the society and political suppression in the state, my security is also related to the society.

You might be aware of the previous instances that caused inconvenience to the common public. Be it during my meeting with AP CM, Uddanam protests, Ananthapur Meeting, or in an incident where some miscreants vandalized some posters relating to me.

If the police department chooses to be helpless in providing security to me, the Govt. will be held responsible for any inevitable events that happen to me. In this regard, I hope that you will consider my proposal with sympathy’.

Pawan Kalyan’s 2-acre residence in Guntur!

1

Along with his wife, Anna Lezhneva and his two children, Pawan Kalyan took part in customary rituals today morning. As per the Hindu tradition, the couple took part in the ‘Bhoomi Puja’ ceremony amid security. Acknowledging that, it would be unable to control Janasena members, and his fans, the whole trip was kept a secret.

Scoop from Pawan’s editors’ meet – Confusion and chaos

Three days ago Pawan Kalyan had meeting with Senior Journalists and editors belonging to various media channels. He had a prolonged discussion and requested them to give wider coverage for his upcoming plenary meeting. Also, pawan kalyan had one-on-one meetings with some of those media bigwigs.

Telugu360 talked to three editors who attended the meeting , here are the excerpts :

  1. One of these editors opined Pawan has less clarity on how to move forward on some key issues. He revealed, when asked about the main agenda of his party, Pawan told drinking water to all villages is his main agenda. When probed further he didn’t have any clue about how to implement it
  2. Another editor of a news channel thinks he is all over the place in many issues. Pawan always gave same answer irrespective of the question. He had 2-3 prefixed answers in mind and irrespective of the question, he parrotted those answers
  3. When asked if he is against Modi, Pawan replied that he is against central government, but not against Modi. People didn’t have a clue what he is talking about as Modi is the power center in Delhi.
  4. Another editor revealed about Pawan’s opinion on party structure. He believes that his fans are his main base, and he is also of the opinion that political heirs of lot of politicians are interested to join him and will serve at next level, and finally selected politicians from other parties will be at the apex of his party structure.

All the editors felt that though he has intention to do something good for society, but he clearly lacks any long term plan on how to approach politics. One editor felt that he wasted 4 hours of his time that day. Another editor told us that he felt Prajarajyam had better structure then Janasena. But all of these three told, Pawan is going to give complete details on March 14 in their plenary. We will have to wait and see what kind of clarity Pawan is going to give on March 14th.

0

As per our sources, these expenses are borne by a person named Ashok . He is taking care of all these expenses. He is a PRP loyalist and from Anantapur. He has paid all the hotel bills for Joint Fact finding committee meetings in big hotels. He only sponsored TV editors meeting with Pawan Kalyan this week. Pawan Kalyan a paid artist! JFC is Directed & Produced by CBN – Vijay Sai Reddy

1

YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP, Vijay Sai Reddy has made scandalous remarks on Pawan Kalyan and JFC. Speaking to the media (in New Delhi), Vijay Sai Reddy said, ‘the JFC (Joint Fact-Finding Committee) is produced and directed by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. Pawan Kalyan is merelya paid artist in the whole episode.

They are playing dramas in the name of JFC. Chandrababu is behind all this. Pawan Kalyan and CBN are trying to fool the people of Andhra Pradesh in the name of JFC.

‘Even Undavalli Arun Kumar and other members of the Joint Fact-Finding committee are paid artists, a part of the whole drama. They are being led and directed by Chandrababu Naidu behind the screen. Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh is only possible with YSRCP. The TDP MPs should quit from Cabinet Ministry posts, and extend their support for the no-confidence motion.

Nothing is going to happen with this JFC and other committees. What benefit will the people of the state have with committee reports?’ added Vijay Sai Reddy.

Talking about the Third Front proposal by KCR, the YSRCP MP said, ‘there is no clarity over KCR’s proposal of Third Front. Hence the YSRCP Party will not respond on that issue.’

2019 AP Election Fever: CPI – Janasena alliance?

0

K Ramakrishna, State (AP) CPI Secretary hinted at a possible alliance with Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena party in the upcoming 2019 AP Assembly elections. Speaking at the 24th Guntur CPI Representatives Congress, the CPI leader stated, ‘the ideologies of both CPI and Janasena are similar. We are ready to work along with Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party in the upcoming elections. We will work with individuals whose agenda is ‘People’s Welfare’.’

Even Pawan Kalyan shares similar ideologies like us. We are looking forward to working with him in the future. As of now, no decision has been taken by the party’s core committee. Once we conclude the CPI Representatives Congress meeting in Kadapa district, the party will meet in a coordination committee meeting, and will come to a decision on this, said K Ramakrishna.

CPI leader K Ramakrishna has also been a part of the AP JAC (Joint Action Committee) set up by Pawan Kalyan. The CPI leader took a jibe at Chandrababu Naidu before concluding his speech. He said, ‘PM Modi is treating AP CM Chandrababu Naidu like a blade of grasses’.
It will be interesting to see whether CPI’s alliance with Janasena will be a reality or a mere tabloid headline.
