KTR ‘gussa’ over Congress leaders blistering attack

0

KTR might have forgotten Newton’s Laws of Motion, while he lashed out Congress party leaders couple of days ago. According to Newton’s 3rd law, ‘for every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction’. We are not trying to bring physics into politics. Rather, we just reminded that Newton’s laws are also valid at times in politics.

The Congress leaders took the attack to KTR, KCR and even Kavitha after being irked by KTR comments. Jana Reddy’s comment, ‘I lowered myself to KTR’s level by responding to his comments.’ While Shabbir Ali and other leaders referred KTR as ‘Baccha (kiddo)’.

Reacting to these comments, KTR said, ‘wait and see what kind of response you will receive, if you once again call me a Baccha. They criticize that I am speaking American language if I speak while I am in a suit. Similarly, if I speak in local language, they allege in other ways.

My comments might have irked Congress leaders. But I spoke facts. Shocked by KCR’s welfare programs in all the districts, the Congress leaders have lost their mind.’

Both KTR and Kavitha were busy in covering up the remarks passed by CM KCR against PM Modi until today morning.

Shabbir Ali

Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir (popularly known as Shabbir Ali), who served as a Cabinet minister under the Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy government, is being named in the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, as per the reports in the national media and English news papers.

In the chargesheet, the ED stated that Ali travelled to Delhi with another businessman and paid a “large sum of money” to Mr Qureshi. One of the witnesses has stated that Rs 1.75 crore has been exported by the accused from him and his friend in favour for the help provided to him in a CBI case. The CBI has also claimed that Mr Qureshi was involved in hawala transactions through Delhi hawala operators. The ED complaint has substantiated the charges of alleged money laundering against Qureshi.

He is current Opposition leader in the Telangana legislative council. He has denied these reports that he has been named in chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate. Shabbir said he was not involved in any such activity and he has not received any notices from ED yet and he is ready to cooperate with the ED if called on to do so.

Shabbir Ali condemns Donald Trump’s Muslim ban proposal

0

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the proposal of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump for barring all Muslims from entering the United States.

Shabbir Ali described Trump’s proposal as highly provocative and aimed at encouraging hate among different communities. He also condemned Republican Party leader’s call for surveillance against mosques and establishing a database for all Muslims living in the US. He said such statements and a discriminative approach towards Muslims were primarily responsible for the growing terrorism in the world.

“Both George W. Bush, senior and junior, meddled in the affairs of Muslim countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria and exposed the entire world to the threat of terrorism. Al-Qaeda was created by CIA to settle its scores with USSR and later, the same Al-Qaeda turned against it. Similarly, Saddam Hussain’s regime was brought to an end which consequently gave birth to Islamic State and now the ISIS operatives are unleashing terror across the world. The US and European countries must introspect and change their policies,” said Shabbir Ali.

Shabbir Ali also criticised the Western world for having duel policy on terrorism. “Terror attack on Paris is being treated as attack on the entire world. But when our Mumbai was attacked by Pakistan-based terror groups, the same countries did not support India in its war against terrorism. They did not snap their ties with Pakistan and didn’t even ask it to stop breeding terror groups,” he said.

The Congress leader said that the statement of Donald Trump is highly condemnable and all peace and justice loving people should oppose it.

Congress alleges TRS-TDP-BJP nexus

0

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has claimed that Congress candidate Sarve Satyanarayana would win the Warangal by-elections with a thumping majority.

Shabbir Ali said on Friday that the Warangal voters have understood the secret nexus between TRS, BJP and TDP. According to Shabbir, the top leaders of all these parties maintain cordial relations in private and public, and ensure that their interests were promoted.

According to Shabbir, during the peak of campaign for Warangal by-polls, union minister for urban development M Venkaiah Naidu had a secret three-four hour long meeting with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at latter’s farm house. Similarly, KCR attended Amaravati‘s foundation stone laying ceremony and remained silent over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He also did not react to AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s comments thanking the Centre for merging seven mandals of Khammam into AP. The trio agreed to hush up ‘Cash for Vote’ and ‘Phone Tapping’ cases, he alleged.

Shabbir Ali said both TRS Government in Telangana and BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre have been enacting blame game over the issue of cotton farmers. Similarly, both are blaming each over drought hit mandals. KCR has mortgaged the interest of Telangana with the Centre for personal gains. For the same reason, he is tolerating continuous injustice and discrimination with Telangana. Citing another instance, he said that the Centre has agreed to fund 1.94 lakh houses in Andhra Pradesh as against 10,000 houses in Telangana.

“The only party, which has been fighting for the people’s welfare in the past 17 months is Congress. TRS , TDP and BJP are all one and the same. People watched what was going on around them. The will deliver a stunning judgement in Warangal,” he said.

Shabbir asks KCR to step down after Warangal elections

0

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir dared Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao if he was ready to take by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat as a referendum and step down if TRS candidate P. Dayakar loses the election.

Shabbir Ali was reacting to the challenge made by Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao wherein he asked whether TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy would quit from his post if Congress candidate Sarve Satyanarayana losses the election. Addressing a press conference at Warangal DCC office here, Shabbir Ali said Harish Rao was too small to challenge the TPCC chief. He said if KCR makes a similar challenge and agrees to accept Warangal by-polls as referendum, then the Congress party might consider making Uttam Kumar Reddy accept the challenge.

He said that Harish Rao has been targeting the Congress party out of frustration. “Harish apparently feels that he did not get due recognition in the party. Despite actively participating in Telangana movement, KCR is promoting his son K. Tarakarama Rao and projecting him as apparent political heir. This has turned Harish Rao crazy and he has been making wild statements against Congress. He is repeatedly asking whether Uttam Kumar would quit the post as if he himself was an aspirant for the same,” he said.

Shabbir Ali listed out the failures of TRS Government during the last 530 days in power. He said KCR was simply not willing to answer basic questions being raised by the people. He said KCR has turned so arrogant that he is not giving respect even to the courts and constitution. He said now the High Court has sent a notice to Talasani Srinivas Yadav for being a minister in TRS cabinet despite continuing as TDP MLA.

He also announced that the Congress party would lodge a police complaint against Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao for his remarks wherein he compared Sarve Satyanarayana to an old one-rupee currency note and tore it by calling it a “chellani rupayee” (fake/obsolete note). He said tearing off a currency note is an offence and KTR committed it in full public view. He pointed out that despite being the then Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana spoke on Telangana issue in the Lok Sabha for a record 28 minutes. Shabbir Ali also stated that nearly 10 lakh poor Muslims benefitted from 4% Muslim reservation policy of previous Congress regime. He said that the TRS Government was not serious on giving 12% reservation for Muslims in jobs and education.

Later, accompanied with former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy, Shabbir Ali visited the family of Shruti, the girl who was killed in an alleged encounter with the police. He assured Shruti’s mother that Congress party would fight against the State Government until it orders a CBI probe and takes action against the guilty policemen. He said Shruti’s death was not an encounter, but a cold-blooded murder.

KCR avoiding 12 pc Muslim quota : Shabbir Ali

0

Leader of Opposition in Telangana State Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the TRS Government for not extending the 12% quota to Muslims in the ongoing recruitment drive.

Shabbir Ali said by extending the term of Sudhir Commission of Inquiry till March 31, 2016, the TRS Government has found an excuse to delay the implementation of promise of providing 12% reservation to Muslims in jobs and education. Muslim students already lost two academic years and job aspirants did not get 12% share in the ongoing recruitment through Telangana State Public Service Commission and other agencies.

Shabbir Ali demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao stop misleading the Muslim community on the issue of 12% reservation. He should directly constitute a Backward Classes Commission to implement his promise. He said that the Sudhir Commission has no legal sanctity and it is not empowered to recommend any reservation. It can only provide latest statistics related to Muslim backwardness. This was confirmed by none other than Committee’s member Dr. Amerullah Khan in an open press conference. He said that the data related to Muslim backwardness is already available with the State Government which it collected through Intensive Household Survey. By analysing the existing data, the State Government can easily provide reservation through a BC Commission, he said.

The Congress leader described the Sudhir Commission as a ‘time pass’ committee and by extending its term for another six months, KCR emulated former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who kept on extending the term of Puttuswamy Commission for nine years. The Puttuswamy Commission was constituted by the Congress Government in 1994 to provide reservation to Muslims in the State. However, the then TDP Government just extended its term and finally Puttuswamy resigned from his post after nine years without giving a single line report. The Sudhir Committee too will meet the same fate, he feared.

The Congress leader demanded that TRS Government immediately constitute a BC Commission if he was really serious on providing 12% reservation to Muslims.

“KCR should release white paper on China trip”

0

Describing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao‘s visit to China and Hong Kong as flop, Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir demanded a White Paper on total investments that KCR and his team were able to mobilize for the State.

Shabbir Ali,on Thursday, said not a single MoU was signed with any industry during KCR’s visit to China and Hong Kong and it was more like a leisure trip for the entire team. He said instead of making tall claims that he got assurances of investments worth several thousand crores, the Chief Minister should release a White Paper giving specific details. He should also mention the details of investments that he was able to mobilize during his visit to Malaysia and Singapore earlier.

“On an average, Rs. 50 lakh per day were spent on KCR’s visit to China. The Chief Minister should justify this spending as his visit took place in the backdrop of suicide by one farmer in every three hours in the State. While the farmers got no financial assistance from the government, the Chief Minister took a luxury jet for his tour to hop around places of tourist importance,” he said.

As against the Chief Minister’s claim of TRS Government having best industrial policy, the World Bank has placed Telangana on the 13th place in the list of investment destinations.

Shabbir Ali said that the Congress party would not plainly accept foreign investment proposals. “When we are providing our land, water, energy and other resources, the companies must guarantee jobs to the locals. We will not allow foreigners to extract profits from our resources without benefiting the local Telangana youth,” he said.

He also took dig on State’s finances. He said KCR has turned Telangana from a revenue surplus to a bankrupt State. He said that the Telangana Government has so far borrowed over Rs. 63,000 crore from various agencies at huge interest rate and also diverted those funds for other purposes. Further, he said that the State Government was planning to borrow another Rs. 10,000 crore from World Bank. He said World Bank loans comes with a rider that there should be no free power to farmers and all subsidies should be withdrawn. He said those conditions were not acceptable to Congress party and therefore, it would strongly oppose loans from World Bank.

KCR way of deceiving people

0

Shabbir Ali, leader of opposition in the Telangana legislative council, asked chief minister KCR to issue white paper on state finances and the schemes he proposes to launch and ways and means he wants to mobilize funds to implement them. If not, he said, all the schemes including the latest Grama Jyothi should be construed as fraud and only meant to deceive people with tall promises, ambitious schemes and unrealistic statistics

The Congressleader asked KCR to explain as to how he proposes to mobilize at least Rs. 1.70 lakh crore to fund the much touted schemes which his government plans to implement.

“These schemes need huge sums. For example Rs. 50,000 crore for SC Welfare, Rs. 25,000 crore for BC Welfare, Rs. 5,000 crore for Minorities Welfare, Rs. 20,000 crore for Mission Kakatiya, Rs. 35,000 crore for Water Grid and Rs. 25,000 crore for Grama Jyothi,” he said.
Shabbir Ali alleged that by showing large outlays with thousands of crores, chief minister KCR is trying to impress upon people that he was spending money in a big way for people and divert their attention from controversial projects. All these figures, the MLC said, were unrealistic.

“If they are realistic and genuine, lay bare before the people your plan of mobilization of funds and sources. You should specify whether the government proposes to borrow loans, sell government lands or increase taxes etc to meet the expenditure of these schemes,” he asked.

The Telangana, a revenue surplus State at the time of creation, had gone bust because of avoidable wastage and splurging on luxuries of chief minister, Shabbir Ali accused.

TRS govt looks like ‘Taliban of Telangana’: Shabbir Ali

0

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has accused of TRS Government of acting like ‘Taliban of Telangana’ in pursuing the agenda of erasing memoirs of previous regimes.

Shabbir Ali has strongly condemned the recent remarks of Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali who advocated demolition of historic Charminar. “Even Mughal emperor Aurangzeb spared Charminar when he conquered Golconda kingdom. While he demolished all beautiful palaces built by Qutb Shahi kings, he did not touch Charminar as it houses a mosque on the second floor. However, Deputy CM seems to be ignorant of this fact and wants the historic monument to be razed to ground to please his boss Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao,” he said.

Shabbir Ali said he had strong suspicion that KCR was influenced by some rulers who gained notoriety by destroying buildings constructed by their predecessors. “Taliban and ISIS militants demolished Historic monuments in their countries just to register their supremacy. Similarly, KCR expressed desire to demolish Secretariat, Chest Hospital and now Osmania General Hospital, built by Nizam of Hyderabad, to go into the history as the man who erased memorabilia of Asaf Jahi Dynasty. Interestingly, KCR boasts of being the biggest fan of last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan,” he said.

Referring to proposed demolition of Osmania General Hospital, Shabbir Ali said several old buildings cross the country and world were still being used as hospitals. Country’s one of the old hospital INHS (Indian Naval Hospital Ship) Asvini Hospital located in Colaba of Mumbai was built in 1756. St Bartholomew (founded in 1123), the Bethlem Royal Hospital (built in 1247) and the Royal Marsden (constructed in 1851), all located in London, are still serving as hospitals.

Shabbir Ali said KCR should prove his love and concern towards patients by releasing the promised funds of Rs. 100 crore each for OGH and Gandhi Hospital, not by demolitions.

TS is flush with funds- Etala to Congress

0

Everything is  hunky-dory and  and Telangana state is a thriving economy, said TRS government in response to Congress alarm that the TS was slipping into financial crisis.

T- government  responded to the Congress’ pricking criticism that  CM’s lack experience in the administration was resulting in wastage of money and a  fund crunch was affecting the welfare activities.

Painting a rosy picture of economy, finance minister Etala Rajender said the state had collected a whopping Rs 25,970 crore in the first four months of fiscal year 2015-16 and this amounted to 33.5 pc of total estimated revenue target of Rs 77,581 crore. The area where the state was lagging was regularization of encroached lands, he said in reaction to Congress leader Shabbir Ali’s yesterdays comments.

Rajender, however, reeled out tons of statistics but failed to answer specific question as to why the state government had not notified the thousands jobs  to facilitate recruitment of youth and was it not out of fear that it would further widen the revenue shortfall.

KCR’ s Ramzan Mood :T-Cong to Play Spoilsport

0

Telangana Congress is playing spoilsport chief minister KCR’s Ramzan mood by reminding him the annoying and un-implementable election promise of 12 per cent reservation in Jobs to Muslims. Rao, in an emotionally fired moment of 2014-elections campaign, assured everything to everybody and 12   per cent reservations to Muslims in Telangana. Everybody knows it was a pie in the sky. Yesterday, to strike a chord with Muslim, he chose to announce Iftar-dinner, free cloths,  honorarium to Imams etc on the occasion of  holy Ramzan month. He asked the government and his party to organize Iftar parties across state. All to cost Rs 26 crore.

However, Congress is planning to play spoilsport by reminding both, the chief minister and Muslim community, about the forgotten assurance of 12 per cent reservation.

The T-Congress has decided to organize, down from village to Hyderabad, counter Iftar parties and will remind them that they should pressurize the government for the implementation of 12 per cent reservation poll-promise of KCR.

On Friday, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir criticized chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his Iftar sops for Muslim stating that it was bait to divert the attention of community from election promise of 12 per cent reservation.

“The Rs 26 crore fund for Muslims announced by KCR is pittance. They don’t want to survive on crumps thrown at them. Muslims are waiting for the implementation of 12 per cent reservations offered by the chief minister KCR,” said Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Shabbir Ali accused KCR of trying to humiliate the Muslim community. “Is he trying to give us ‘Khairaat’ (Alms)? KCR has insulted the entire Muslim community by offering a meagre Rs. 1,000 monthly salary to Imams, who enjoy highest respect in Islam. Has he consulted the Ulemas before making this announcement?” he asked while adding that a similar attempt made by the then Congress Government in 2004-05 to pay Rs. 5,000 per month salary to Imams was rejected by the Muslim Personal Law. He said KCR cannot take unilateral decisions on matters involving religion and religious sentiments.

Shabbir Ali also questioned the silence of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen on the issue. He said both TRS and MIM should clarify their stand on Alair encounter and also explain when report on Kishanbagh police firing incident would be made public.
