Delhi HC tells ED: No coercive action against TDP MP

0

In an interim relief to former Union Minister and TDP MP Y.S. Chowdary, the Delhi High Court on Friday directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) not to take coercive steps against him in a case related to alleged financial irregularities.

Justice Najmi Waziri asked Chowdary to appear before the ED on Monday and cooperate in the ongoing investigation against him.

The court asked the ED to file a response on the plea and listed the matter for further hearing on December 18.

The court was hearing Chowdary’s plea seeking quashing of summons issued against him by the ED. The ED has asked Chowdary to appear in a case pertaining to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The TDP MP is accused of bank fraud.

Chowdary, a member of the Rajya Sabha, is a close aide of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Chowdary was Minister of Science and Technology in the Modi cabinet till March when the TDP pulled out of the NDA government.

Khammam segment: Neck-and-neck race between TRS and TDP

0

Two industrialists are fighting against each other in Khammam segment. Sitting MLA and TRS candidate is Ajay Kumar Puvvada while the Telugu Desam Party has brought in former MP Nama Nageswara Rao. Both the parties received boost after the recent election meetings by their respective party stalwarts. In 2014 elections, Ajay Kumar contested on Congress ticket and won but he later joined the TRS.

Seeing the significance of the segment, CM Chandrasekhara Rao himself addressed an election meeting in Khammam which left the party activists highly motivated and ready for the battle. KCR has taken this segment as a prestigious matter considering the high stakes involved. He is targetting the TDP very seriously so as to further reduce its presence in the Telangana assembly. Already, TRS has won over many former TDP leaders like Tummala Nageswara Rao to its side.

On behalf of TDP nominees, AICC president Rahul Gandhi, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and CPI national leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy held election meeting here. After this, the TDP cadres became active in the segment making greater efforts in their areas. Both TRS and TDP are hopeful of wining the seat with the additional strengths of their industrialist-candidates.

TDP candidate Nama Nageswara Rao has another advantage in that he has received support from Congress senior leader Renuka Chowdary. They had differences in the past as they clashed in parliamentary segment but Prajakutami compulsions have made Renuka to extend her support.

BJP MP writes to Rajya Sabha ethics panel, seeks disqualification of two TDP MPs

0

BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao has written to the Ethics Committee of the Rajya Sabha, alleging involvement of TDP MPs C.M. Ramesh and Y.S. Chowdary in “massive financial bungling and fraud” and has sought their disqualification over a “serious breach of ethics.”

“I’ve complained to Ethics Committee to sought disqualification of the TDP MPs — Y. S. Chowdary and C.M. Ramesh –, who have earned the dubious title of ‘Andhra Mallyas’ with massive financial scandals. Chowdary defrauded banks of Rs 5,700 crore and Ramesh evaded hundreds of crores in taxes,” Rao, a Rajya Sabha member from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said in a tweet.

Chowdary was Minister of State for Science and Technology in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government before the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) pulled out of it in March this year.

The letter has been written to Narayan Lal Pancharia, the Chairman of the Ethics Committee.

“I am writing to bring to your kind notice serious breach of ethics on part of two members of Rajya Sabha namely C.M. Ramesh and Y. S. Chowdary. Both are involved in allegations of massive financial bungling and fraud,” he said.

Rao said he has submitted “documentary proof” of allegations against the two leaders.

“Ramesh is involved in benami operations and evaded income taxes running into hundreds of crores. His public conduct has also been repugnant and unbecoming of an MP. In a recent TV debate, he has used obnoxious language and slur language against me, unbecoming of an MP,” he said in the letter.

Rao said that because of such cases of financial misappropriation and misconduct, the stature of Parliament and public faith in the great institution has been “damaged”.

He said that the Rajya Sabha has suffered a serious dent to its image due to financial allegations against Vijay Mallya, a former member of the house.

He alleged the case of Y.S. Chowdary was even more serious than Vijay Mallya’s, “as his business operations remain shady and seems thousands of crores” have been borrowed using political clout and patronage.”

“Y.S. Chowdary has been charged by several public sector banks of defrauding them and registered FIRs against his companies which resulted in the Enforcement Directorate probe,” he said.

The BJP leader said it is the mandate of the Ethics Committee to ensure that Members of Parliemant (MPs) maintain high standards of integrity. “I am writing to you to examine my complaint and to initiate suitable action against the two members to ensure the dignity and respect of Parliament is restored,” Rao said.

He also demanded that Chowdary should recuse himself from the deliberations in this matter except as an accused appearing before the committee to offer his explanations, as he was a member of the committee.

Chowdary had denied the allegations a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on his firms and issued him summons.

He has said that none of the companies established by him were involved in any irregularities and termed the allegations as a conspiracy by the Centre to politically harm him.

Hyderabad High Court sets aside TDP MLA’s election

0

The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday set aside the election of TDP MLA K. Eeranna to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly from Madakasira constituency.

The court directed that M. Thippe Swamy of YSR Congress Party, who had finished runner-up in 2014 election, be treated as the legislator.

Eeranna of ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was elected to Assembly from Madakasira (reserved for scheduled castes) in 2014.

Thippe Swamy had challenged Eeranna’s election on the ground that Eeranna violated People’s Representation Act by not providing all details in his election affidavit. The YSRCP leader argued that Eeranna did not give details of the cases pending against him in Karnataka and also about his wife’s job.

After hearing both sides, the high court set aside Eeranna’s election.

YSRCP support to TRS in Kukatpally

0

YSR Congress party is not contesting in Telangana elections. However, they convened a meeting in Kukatpally to declare that they will be supporting TRS in this constituency. It is known news that as part of grand alliance, TDP is contesting from this constituency. Nandamuri Suhasini of TDP will be fighting with Madhavaram Krishna Rao of TRS in this constituency. This meeting of YSRCP has become a topic of debate in political circles.

YSRCP leaders in this meeting declared that , they will be supporting TRS in this constituency and called their cadre to defeat TDP in Kukatpally. YSRCP leaders also questioned Congress Party for using the photo of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy during their campaigning. They demanded Rahul Gandhi and Chandra Babu to first spell their stand Y S Rajasekhara Reddy before using his photo in elections.

YSRCP leaders called their party fans in Kukatpally to defeat TDP. We need to wait and see how people will respond to this call.

Kejriwal lashes out at BJP for raiding TDP leader’s home, offices

1

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday lashed out at the BJP government for conducting a raid at the offices of a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) parliamentarian, saying that “this is how the Modi government unleashes its hounds if you oppose it”.

Starting late Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Saturday continued the searches at the residence and offices of former Union Minister and TDP Member of Parliament Y.S. Chowdary in Andhra Pradesh for alleged financial irregularities.

Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal said: “Raids by Modi government on TDP leaders are a clear signal that once you start opposing BJP, then all the hounds will be unleashed.”

“As I suggested earlier, states should ban the entry of all central investigative agencies which are on witch-hunt mode,” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief said.

Earlier, Kejriwal had backed the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh after he withdrew the “general consent” it had earlier given to the CBI to operate within its territory.

Kejriwal had also advised Naidu “to not allow the Income Tax Department in the state”.

The CBI now requires the permission of the Andhra Pradesh government to conduct raids in the state.

The move had come following a series of raids by the Income Tax authorities against TDP leaders including Naidu’s close aide and MP C.M. Ramesh.

The party leaders alleged that the Modi government was misusing central agencies to target them.

CBN tells JC: MP ticket to be given based on survey

0

Surveys assume immense importance during election season and no party is an exception in this regard. Political parties usually refuse to give tickets to those who do not find favour in their internal surveys. Raising this topic, Anantapur MP and TDP senior leader J.C. Diwakar Reddy asked party chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu whether the party would not give him ticket next time if he got negative rankings in the internal surveys.

Reacting with a sense of humour, CBN said that he would not give ticket to JC if he is not favoured in the survey. Everybody present there burst into a peel of laughter. Then again, JC asked CBN to strictly go by the survey and deny tickets to all those who are found to be weak. CM along with other TDP leaders have smiled back in a light-hearted way.

For the Telangana December polls also, there are many surveys that predicted differently to various parties that are in election fray there. In AP, the major political parties have already begun internal assessments and surveys to prepare party machinery for the 2019 general election.

TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao is known for his use of internal surveys to field the right candidates and win over the rivals. He kept his MLA contestants in continued suspense till the last day of withdrawal of nominations by threatening to withdraw their tickets if they do not campaign hard in the segments.

It may be recalled YSR Congress Party has done a survey in Godavari districts on the impact of party’s padayatra there. The locally dominant Kapu community has taken Jagan’s comments on Pawan’s personal life seriously.

Pawan blames TDP and DGP for lack of enough security

0

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan is particularly alarmed over two to three incidents that took place in recent weeks. A sand lorry hit the car in which his security staff are travelling at Rajanagaram a few days ago when seven members were injured. In second incident, former speaker Nadendla Manohar’s car was hit by another sand lorry when he was proceeding to his residence in Hyderabad. Now, somebody in the name of a fan pulled the scarf from over the shoulders of Pawan at his Mandapeta Praja Porata Yatra meeting.
Though Jana Sena party has appealed to the DGP several times, there have been no steps to provide security to Nadendla Manohar. Angry over this, Pawan has said the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been behaving irresponsibly as regard to the security of opposition leaders but it is the duty of AP DGP to protect each and every party. Pawan also cautioned that if anything happens to him, it is the police who should be held responsible for not taking precautionary steps.

Pawan’s party has written letters to the government and DGP for providing gunmen to Manohar a month ago but there is no response from them till now. Jana Senani appealed to the voters to support him as he has joined politics only to serve and it means Rs. 100 crore loss to him as he has quit acting. He has taken the step to enter public service though his mother has not approved of this.

Pawan has once again attacked TDP, saying that every MLA is resorting to unprecedented corruption in every assembly segment. He recalls that TDP has criticised every move of the Congress party in the past but now they have become very friendly and allies.

TDP gathering forces to win Serilingampally segment

0

Under the ‘Mahakutami’ seat sharing, the Congress has given Serilingampally seat to the TDP considering the predominant Seemandhra voters here. Arekapudi Gandhi won from this segment on TDP ticket in 2014 but now he has shifted his loyalties to the TRS party which has given him its ticket to contest December election. TDP is fielding local strongman Venigalla Ananda Prasad who is economically strong and has widespread connections.

Congress former MLA M. Bhikshapathi Yadav was asking for the ticket and he has filed nomination as a rebel of Mahakutami. Congress high command entered the scene and convinced him to withdraw the nomination. He is now fully cooperating with the TDP nominee. If Bhikshapathi effectively supports TDP candidate, there are ample chances of Mahakutami win in Serilingampally because of his strong presence. Bhikshapati had won from this segment in 2009 over his rival Arekapudi Gandhi, who then contested on TDP ticket.

After its formation, Serilingampally assembly constituency has witnessed two elections – in 2009 and 2014. Congress won once and TDP once. This time, Congress and TDP have joined forces to counter the ruling TRS candidate Gandhi. TDP nominee is confident that he will have big advantage because of the new found unity among Mahakutami parties to oust KCR government this time.

TDP has strong following in the segment as it got 75,904 majority in 2014 elections over nearest rival TRS. In that election, Congress stood in third place.

We stopped TDP from robbing Agrigold assets, says Kanna

0

BJP has been vocal in criticising the TDP government on the issue of doing justice to cheated depositors of Agrigold scam. TDP has accused BJP of giving misinformation the scam to the public. Now, BJP AP president Kanna Lakshminarayana has asserted that it is their party that has stopped the ruling TDP from robbing the valuable Agrigold properties. His comments assume significance at a time when the auction of Agrigold could not be successfully carried out to pay back the aggrieved depositors.

Recently, the Agrigold owners have said that the Haailand resort property was not their asset, which gave rise to suspicions on a possible cover-up. Kanna Lakshminarayana had seized the opportunity to blame the TDP for the troubles of the Agrigold depositors. Meanwhile, there are also rumours that the Agrigold assets could not be auctioned because of lack of buyers due to crisis caused by demonetisation.

The BJP is making Agrigold one of the major issues on which it wants to corner TDP in 2019 general election. Party national spokesperson and MP GVL Narasimha Rao has passed serious comments on the Agrigold issue several times, which has triggered a war of words between BJP and TDP.

Kanna Lakshminarayana is carrying forward GVL’s attack and he accused the Naidu government of snatching away fertile lands in Amaravati area and doing virtually commercial business in the name of Capital city construction. He sympathised with the farmers of Undavalli and Penubaka villages in capital area. Kanna called upon the people to reject the Naidu rule and save the AP state from further scams.

How Kanna rose from ‘Rekula Shed life’ to make thousands of crores?

0

The ongoing ward of words between the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Jana Party is turning personal with rival leaders making unsparing attacks on each other. Ever since he became President of BJP AP unit, Kanna Lakshminarayana has started criticising every move of TDP chief and AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu day in and day out. Now, Kanna is saying that the BJP took a hard line against Naidu because of his unchecked corruption in the State.

Taking strong objection, MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao has said Kanna has no moral right to criticise CBN considering his background when Kanna started his life from a small ‘Rekula Shed’. How could Kanna go on to make thousands of crores which should be explained by him to the people, said Rayapati. He further said that Kanna was known for his corruption during his stint as minister.

Rayapati also attacked Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan, saying that they lacked vision and experience to face CBN in Andhra politics. The MP said that both Jagan and Pawan had no public support in Andhra and it is Chandrababu Naidu would be elected again Chief Minister in 2019 elections in the state.

A former Congress leader, Rayapati has asserted that there would be no TDP alliance with Congress party in Andhra elections and the Mahakutami experiment would be limited to Telangana alone.

Too many strong aspirants for TDP ticket for Kukatpally segment

0

Kukatpally has the highest population of Andhra settlers in Hyderabad city and it is home to industrialists, businessmen and salaried class including IT professionals. The segment has become a very prestigious one as political parties see intense rivalry among leaders for their tickets.

TDP is facing the same problem as too many strong leaders are aspiring for this segment considering the strong position of the party. Former minister Peddi Reddy has been in the forefront but the party leadership has not yet finalised his name. Another strong leader named Mandadi Srinivasa Rao is making a firm claim to the seat. Both Peddi Reddy and Srinivasa Rao took out big rallies in Kukatpally limits to mark their of show of strength.

The high demand for Kukatpally comes from the fact that it has witnessed top most construction activity in recent years along with development of IT companies. The residential colonies in the segment have also mushroomed with modern facilities in the past 10 years.

Kukatpally TRS corporator Kavya’s husband Harish Reddy has also joined the race for TDP ticket. He has requested CM Chandrababu Naidu to consider his candidature. Meanwhile, some TDP leaders have proposed the names of late Nandamuri Harikrishna’s son Kalyan Ram or daughter Suhasini. As Kalyan Ram is busy with films, they wanted Suhasini to contest from Kukatpally. TDP is expected to spring a surprise in this segment given high demand for its ticket.

Dissidents revolt against TDP and Congress over Serilingampalli segment

0

Both Telugu Desam Party and Congress faced sudden trouble from ticket aspirants in Serilingampalli segment. Several activists arrived at NTR Bhavan in Banjara Hills and staged protest demonstrations demanding this ticket for Movva Satyanarayana. Some of them poured petrol on their bodies and threatened to commit suicide if TDP leaders did not honour their request.

TDP has allotted this ticket for Bhavya Ananda Prasad. The pro-Satyanarayana activists asserted that their leader has been actively taking up welfare activities in the segment for several years in the hope of getting the ticket. They raised slogans ‘Bhavya, Go Back’.

Troubled started in TDP as there are fresh ticket aspirants for Serilingampally. In 2014, Arikepudi Gandhi contested here on TDP ticket but he has shifted his loyalties to TRS later. Gandhi is now contesting from this segment on TRS ticket. After Gandhi left the TDP, many leaders have started eyeing Serilingampally ticket but eventually Bhavya emerged successful.

Meanwhile, the Congress activists in Serilingampally thronged Gandhi Bhavan and raised slogans against the party allotting the seat to TDP as part of Mahakutami seat sharing. They demanded that this seat be retained by Congress and allot the ticket to former MLA Bhikshapati Yadav.

The problem of dissidents is giving a tough time to both the Mahakutami partners and this has become a hot topic of discussion in political circles.

Both nominees belong to the Kamma community dominant in the segment there.

Letters war between TRS and TDP raises political heat

0

TRS leader and KCR nephew T. Harish Rao is very effective in triggering political rows with opponents. His recent open letter posing 19 questions to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has become a matter of intense political debate lately. Harish Rao has named 19 ‘drohalu’ (injustices) that Naidu has done to Telangana state before and after the AP reorganisation in 2014.

Considering the rising debates around this, TDP polit bureau member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy has indicated TDP’s decision to pose 100 questions to Harish Rao on why Telangana people should not re-elect KCR as CM. Reddy asked Harish Rao as to why people should not punish KCR for ruling the State from his farm house where he is conducting high level meetings of his party for quite some time.

Reddy said that KCR and his family members had admitted to defeat much before the election has begun in the State and TRS leaders were attacking AP CM Chandrababu Naidu only because there were not able to highlight any achievement in the face of failures of KCR government. Reddy asked Harish Rao to explain in a straightforward language as to which irrigation project of Telangana faced problems because of Naidu.

In his 19-questions letter, Harish Rao had asked why Chandrababu Naidu did not honour reorganisation commitments to supply electricity to Telangana. He also asked why Naidu has written so many letters to the Central government to put hurdles to Telangana irrigation projects.

TDP shall bear costs of Naidu visits to other states, says GVL

0

BJP’s controversial MP GVL Narasimha Rao has taken strong objection to the political visits of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to other states at the cost of the AP state government funds. The BJP leader’s comments are made in the context of Naidu visiting Delhi, Benguluru and other cities to unite anti-BJP parties for a national level front.

GVL Narasimha Rao argues that the public funds are being used for Naidu trips while they will have to bear the expenditure from the TDP funds. The BJP leaders objection is understandable as Naidu is giving a real hard time to the Modi government by criticising it strongly during his visits.

Moreover, many parties like JDS and DMK are rolling a red carpet for Naidu in forming the anti-BJP front.

The BJP has also been facing lot of heat following Naidu comments on the undermining of national level, autonomous institutions like the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and the Reserve Bank of India.

GVL is soon planning a counter to Naidu’s addresses to the national media. The BJP will also highlight TDP government misdeeds in front of national media.

Flexi war: Police to counsel the leaders of TDP and JSP

0

In Vijayawada, the ongoing war between TDP and Jansena fans through flexis reached police. As per reports, police are about to call for counseling, the leaders of TDP and Janasena who hoarded flexis with controversial remarks .

Earlier, TDP leader Katragadda Babu hoarded flexis at several places in the city. These flexis have satirical content on Pawan’s comments that CBN would have retired in 2014 itself if he hadn’t supported TDP in 2014. The flexi read, in 2014 both mega brothers together couldn’t get more than 18 seats and in 2019 also Janasena will get maximum of 2-3 seats and CBN will become CM again in 2019.

In response to these flexis, Mandali Rajesh from Janasena hoarded flexis that read, TDP was zero in Vijayawada in 2009 and how could it become hero in 2014, it is only because of Pawan. It also had verbatim that, TDP’s illegal relation with Congress clearly shows how scared is TDP about 2019 elections.

However, the photos of these flexis widely shared across social media platforms leading to verbal war between the fans of both parties and this war finally reached Police. As per media reports, DCP would be soon calling both Katragadda Babu and Mandali Rajesh for counselling and advise them not to hoard any flexis with such provoking comments.

TDP-Congress alliance & Changing equations on tickets

1

Now it is almost confirmed that TDP and Congress will have alliance in AP as well in the upcoming 2019 elections. Even though the outcome of 2018 Telangana elections will have an impact on whether to continue the alliance in 2019 or not, it is more or less confirmed that TDP needs alliance with Congress as it has burnt all bridges with BJP already. However, it seems because of this alliance, equations are changing in TDP as well as Congress party as leaders in both party are now worrying about whether they will get tickets or not in 2019.

No increase of seats in AP assembly itself is an issue for TDP:

Already, it has been a troublesome condition for TDP as many leaders from other parties like YSRCP and Congress defected into ruling TDP post 2014 elections, expecting there will be increase of seats in AP assembly by 2019. But that estimation gone totally wrong and now BJP led union government is in no mood to increase the seats in AP assembly. So the revision of constituencies will happen only in 2026 as it was already scheduled. So, until then there will be no increase in number of seats but now TDP, in more than 20 constituencies, has 2 strong leaders – one, who contested but lost in 2014 and the other one – who won on YSRCP ticket and defected into TDP. While adjusting seats to all those who defected into TDP itself is an issue, adding salt to wound, TDP-Congress alliance brought in even more aspirants for the same constituencies.

Now even more aspirants after TDP-Congress alliance:

Now, after the alliance, Congress leaders also want TDP to leave some constituencies to them as part of the alliance. So, for single constituency, now there will be one leader, who is originally from TDP, one leader from YSRCP who defected into TDP after 2014 and one former MLA/MP from Congress party. Adjusting seats is going to be really a nightmare for TDP in 2019.

Specific Examples:

For example, in Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency, BT Naidu contested from TDP but lost it to Butta Renuka of YSRCP. Both of them still aspiring for the same seat in 2019. Now, there is high probability that this seat may actually go to former union minister Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy of Congress, who is actually more senior than the other two and also stronger than them (except for bifurcation effect). Similarly, in Paderu assembly constituency, Giddi Eswari also facing similar issue as Butta Renuka. She also defected from YSRCP into but now former minister Bala Raju from Congress is expecting this ticket. Similarly Pallam raju, former union minister of cabinet rank, Pallam Raju is now expecting Kakinada seat, which he won several times in the past and TDP sitting MP Thota narasimham needs to be adjusted for another seat by TDP supremo. There are several prominent leaders in Congress who are still with the party and they are expecting tickets – like Kiran Kumar Reddy, Kishore Chandra Dev, T. Subbi Rami Reddy etc.

We will have to wait and see how this tough-nut will be cracked.

Did Pawan trap TDP and YSRCP on “No Confidence Motion”?

0

Pawan’s latest comments regarding “No confidence motion” creating sensation in social media. While speaking at a public meeting in Jaggampeta Pawan made these sensational comments inferring it was his trap regarding “No confidence motion” in which TDP and YSRCP fell into.

What did Pawan tell about NCM and his strategy on NCM?
Pawan spoke at a public meeting in Jaggampeta and severely criticized YSRCP chief Jagan. He lambasted Jagan and his party for not achieving anything despite people giving him lot of power by electing him and his party leaders. He further added that, by not attending assembly and parliament he and his party missing the opportunity to raise the issues of people in the legislative houses. He also told that except doing padayatra, Jagan didn’t do anything and he utterly failed as opposition leader. He told, even though his Janasena party doesn’t have any MLA or MP, he, along with his team of ten people devised a strategy so that ‘No confidence motion’ is moved in the parliament and that strategy made parliament come to standstill.

What did Pawan imply?
By these statements, what Pawan is implying is this. Actually there was no plan of moving”No confidence Motion” in parliament for any political party of Telugu states. Jagan just wanted his party leaders to resign for their member of parliament posts. But Pawan strategically provoked Jagan and challenged him to move “No confidence Motion” in parliament if he really has guts. Then, during his meeting at Kandukuru (Feb’2018), Jagan challenged Pawan to get the support TDP MPs as they don’t have numbers and he is ready to move NCM. Pawan again provoked Jagan by saying, he will get the numbers if that is really a problem. Jagan took this challenge and went ahead to move No confidence Motion. TDP was part of NDA until then. But TDP did not want Jagan to get mileage on ‘Special Status’ and moved pawns very quickly and decided to go for ‘No confidence Motion’ by itself. So TDP had to exit NDA and moved the No confidence motion in parliament, and that has been discussed across the country. So, what Pawan implies is – If he hadn’t provoked Jagan, probably there wouldn’t be No confidence motion and YSRCP MPs might have just resigned for MP posts. If YSRCP didn’t opt for ‘No confidence motion’, TDP might have been still continuing in NDA. Pawan also said, he had strategized all this with help of 10 people (probably, it’s his core team).

Is what Pawan’s claiming is true?
One thing is true for sure that- no party (in Telugu states) had intention to move ‘No confidence Motion’ in parliament. It was Pawan Kalyan who first provoked YSRCP to move NCM. To be frank, it was not even Pawan who first mooted this idea, but it was former MP Undavalli Arun, who during Pawan’s joint fact finding committee meetings first spoke of NCM on Modi government. So, what Pawan claiming is true in this aspect as he was the first political party leader who provoked others to move NCM on Modi cabinet.

What would have happen if NCM wasn’t moved?
If Pawan didn’t provoke Jagan, YSRCP MPs might have just resigned without NCM. In that case, TDP also would have continued in NDA and pro-TDP media might have been still now focusing on the good done to the country by Modi and the good done to the state by CBN and probably would have been still promoting Modi-CBN as super hit combination. They might also have been still reminding people everyday about how ruthlessly Congress bifurcated the state of united AP. Of course, there wouldn’t be ‘Operation Garuda’.

Overall
So, for sure , No confidence motion of 2018 changed the course of AP politics. Pawan is now claiming that he has strategized it to happen so. Whether he ONLY has achieved it as he is claiming is debatable but definitely NCM has changed the game for all parties in the state.
