Jagan renames Rythu Bharosa: Sticker CM tag

0

AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy made a big political step to counter the BJP’s ‘Sticker CM’ allegations against him. He renamed farmers investment support scheme as ‘YSR Rythu Bharosa PM Kisan Yojana’. This is undoubtedly done following allegations by BJP AP President Kanna Lakshminarayana that Jagan became just like Chandrababu Naidu in claiming central schemes as their own. Naidu never tried to give any credit to BJP but now Jagan made a difference.

With this, CM Jagan has also become one step closer to the Modi-Shah duo. Analysts say that Jagan has clearly broken a tradition where State governments never give advantage to Centre in welfare schemes. However, Kanna’s one suggestion was not completely implemented. Kanna actually requested for using Modi’s name in Rythu Bharosa.

Interestingly, AP will not give Rythu Bharosa amount in one go. The amount is increased from Rs. 12,500 to Rs. 13,500 with State contributing Rs. 7,500 and Centre Rs. 6,000. This will be given in three installments. Jagan has proposed to give Rs. 7,500 to farmers in May, Rs. 4,000 in October and Rs. 2,000 in Sankranthi. Centre is also giving its component in three installments. Reports say that Jagan made a smart move to make the entire Bharosa funds look like his government’s support to the farmers.

Jagan effect: APNRT Icon Tower in Amaravathi on brink of closure!

11

Ever since ‘reverse’ Jagan became Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh four months ago, the only news one hears about Andhra Pradesh are about Jagan cancelling, reviewing, scrapping development projects initiated by previous Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to satisfy his ‘personal ego’ and settle ‘personal scores’ with Chandrababu at the cost of AP development and people.

Jagan’s ‘reverse decision’ to stop all kinds of activities in AP’s new capital city Amaravathi after he became CM, because it was initiated by Chandrababu, has now cast shadow on one of the iconic project in Amaravathi, and for that matter the entire AP.

Non-Resident Telugus (NRTs) of AP origin residing in various countries took the initiative on their own to construct “APNRT Icon Tower” in Amaravthi, by mobisling their own funds, with a hope that this will bring global recognition to new capital city and prompt others to make investments in Amaravathi.

Then CM Chandrababu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan laid foundation for this project an year ago in November 2018.

Such was the demand for this project that about 104 premium flats were sold out on the date of launch itself even though not a single brick was laid and construction activity started.

Each NRT paid nearly Rs 32 lakh at the rate of Rs 5,500 per sft to the APNRT society, which is the promoter of the project along with AP government.

But after Jagan became CM, this project has landed in trouble as Jagan stopped all activities in Amaravathi giving hints that he plans to shift the capital city from Amaravathi to some other place in AP.

With no construction activity at Icon Tower even after an year, the worried NRTs are now demanding that their advance money should be returned.

The NRTs are worried that if Jagan shifts capital, this project will become a disaster and there is no point in investing their hard-earned money on a loss-making project.

The construction works were supposed to begin from February this year but due to Assembly elections in May, they could not make headway.

With TDP losing power and Jagan becoming CM, this project lost its sheen even before the construction has started.

Poor NRTs are now cursing their fate for investing in this project and for AP people electing Jagan as CM who is taking AP in a ‘reverse direction’.

“Reverse” Jagan’s rude jolt to unemployed!

0

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who became popular as ‘reverse Jagan” within four months of coming to power with his ‘reverse decisions’ on Amaravathi, power purchase agreements, sand policy etc, has dealt a huge blow to over 2 lakh unemployed youth in AP with his ‘trademark’ reverse step.

Jagan issued orders cancelling self-employment loans to 2.17 lakh youth that were earlier sanctioned by previous CM N Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu had sanctioned loans worth Rs 3,783 crore to 2.76 lakh unemployed youth in the final year of his tenure as CM.

But he could release only 1.27 lakh unemployed youth as election code came into force.

However, Naidu ensured that the required funds are allotted in the Budget for 2019-20.

With Naidu losing power after Assembly polls and Jagan becoming CM, these loans have been stopped abruptly.

Jagan as usual decided to ‘review’ all the decisions taken by previous TDP government.

He ordered officals not to sanction loans until he approves.

After four months, Jagan issued orders cancelling all the loans sanctioned by TDP government.

Jagan now wants to disburse these loans through his ‘village/ ward volunteer system.’

Everyone knows, village/ward volunteer system in nothing but to distribute public money to YSRCP activists and supporters.

The criterion to get unemployed loan now will be based on whether the applicant is a Jagan or YSRCP supporter or not.

The loans to unemployed scheme in AP has now turned out be an ’employment scheme for YSRCP activists, supporters’, thanks to Jagan’s ‘reverse decision’.

KCR-Jagan avoiding Centre’s apex council meet

0

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat has asked AP Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and Telangana CM Chandrasekhara Rao to attend apex council meeting on river water issues. The apex council was formed to iron out differences between AP and Telangana on sharing of the Krishna river waters after reorganisation. The first council meeting was attended by KCR and Chandrababu Naidu in 2016.

But now, KCR is unwilling to involve the Centre in the water issues any more. He has already intimated to the Union Jal Shakti Ministry that the Telugu states have no disputes to be resolved any more. This is why there is no need for any further meeting of the apex council.

But Andhra officials say that many Telangana irrigation projects have no approval of the apex council till now. If KCR is allowed to get the meeting cancelled, it will cause harm to Andhra. It is not yet known what Jagan has decided to do.

Jagan shock treatments to Amaravati farmers

0

Like there’s no end, the Amaravati Capital City farmers are receiving one blow after another from AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. They are already worried what would be the fate of their Capital City lands once Secretariat shifting is completed. Now, the farmers have another big problem. The CID officials are visiting their homes and asking questions about their land transactions in the past TDP Government. These enquiries are making the farmers very uncomfortable and insecure.

The CID officials are asking details about who are the persons who bought lands in Capital City area. Whether they have relations with TDP? Obviously, the officials are asked by Jagan Circar to bring proofs of TDP leaders who bought Amaravati lands using benami names. Dutifully, the CID officials are asking farmers all uncomfortable and unwarranted questions. Reports say that Jagan Team has now become very desperate to prove insider trading in land pooling scheme.

Four months are over since coming to power, the YCP government is not able to establish evidence of TDP irregularities in Capital City lands till now. Even CRDA Chairman and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy could not give one single proof of TDP benamis. Government enquiries revealed that only 180 out 33,000 acres changed hands.

No Amit Shah appointment for Jagan again

0

For the second time in a week, Andhra Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy could not get appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. As a result, his scheduled Delhi tour today is cancelled. During his last week’s visit, Jagan met with PM Modi but could not meet Shah. Jagan planned to wait for another day there in Delhi for a talk with Shah. But it could not be possible. In a short span of time, Andhra CM has made all out efforts to meet Shah. This is certainly sending out all the wrong signals.

Are alarm bells indeed ringing for YCP leaders? They are not able to guess what the true intentions of BJP Delhi leaders are. BJP AP President Kanna Lakshminarayana is visiting Delhi in a day or two. He will be briefing Modi-Shah duo about the latest Andhra political situation.

On the other hand, time is running out for Jaganmohan Reddy. The CBI has indeed caused lot of embarrassment to him by objecting to his request for exemption from personal court appearances every week. There are also doubts that the CBI is also slowly planning to get Jagan’s bail cancelled. If that is the case, the YCP party as a whole will turn upside down. Analysts say that this is going to be a national shame for not just the ruling party leaders but for the entire Andhra.

YS Jagan second trip to Delhi in less than week span!

1

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be in some kind of desperation. Two different stories are running behind this second Delhi trip of AP CM in less than a week span.

Only last week, YS Jagan visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But now, once again YS Jagan is rushing to Delhi for a meet with Modi as well as Home minister Amit Shah. Reason claimed by YSRCP circles are, YS Jagan is on to Delhi to invite Narendra Modi for the launch of YSR Raithu Bharosa Scheme, Which is scheduled to happen on 15th of this month.

While the reason said for the meet of Amit Shah is since YS Jagan couldn’t meet the home minister during last visit, this time he has planned to have a meet with him. While this is the story from YSRCP circles, the actual one speculated to be is BJP led Central Government is in plans of backing from funding the Polavaram project.

Polavaram being a national project, YS Jagan altered the contractors with Retendering. Inspite of several warnings from Centre, Jagan Proceeded for Retendering. This was already irking the centre. They have already said, in case of any disturbances due to Retendering, they might pull back from funding Polavaram. Now, it is strongly heard, central government is at the verge of stepping back from Polavaram project. By which, centre would bypass the state government and would directly complete the pending 30% works in Polavaram. As a final try, To pacify the difference, YS Jagan has rushed to Delhi for a meet with PM as well as Home Minister.

BJP high command is well known for their adamant stand over any issue. If they had really decided to pull back from Polavaram funding, Jagan won’t have any fruitful result from this Delhi trip.

YCP afraid of ‘weekly court appearing CM’ tag?

0

The ruling YCP leaders and activists never bothered about CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy locked up in jail for 16 months. They put total trust and got mind-blowing victory for him. But now, such strong-willed YCP leaders are greatly worried about one thing the most. It is the grim reality of CM Jagan Reddy likely to make weekly court appearances in Hyderabad. Naturally, it will attract needless attention from national and international media. Social media will go wild definitely.

The YCP is literally scared of the ‘weekly court appearing CM’ tag. An analyst says that it is not the bad image that is a matter of botheration for the ruling party leaders. They have seen the highs and lows of it all. But it is the eventual fallout of such weekly court appearances.

There are reports that once Jagan starts appearing before the court, it will slowly become impossible for him to remain in Chief Minister’s chair. Given his style of administration, he doesn’t agree for anybody as his replacement even temporarily. Amid these concerns, YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy and others are making all out efforts in Delhi to get exemption from court appearances. They are trying hard to get favour from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Everything doesn’t look well for YCP.

BJP master stroke to Jagan on Polaravaram

0

Andhra CM Jaganmohan Reddy has given lots of embarrassment to Modi Regime both within and outside India. From multi-national companies to Indian Corporate Industry, everybody is totally disappointed with Jagan’s parochial policies. Expectedly, Modi-Shah duo have taken a final, tough stand against Jagan. Their immediate master stroke is going to be with regard to the Polavaram life-line irrigation project of Andhra.

Analysts say that the Centre has almost decided to cancel Jagan re-tendering contract given to Megha Krishna Reddy. The Union Jal Sakti Ministry will take up the unfinished 30 per cent project works. This will not be a big deal for the Centre considering just Rs. 5000 Cr required for this. If this is done, BJP can claim credit for completing Polavaram while, at the same time, it can reverse Jagan’s adamant re-tendering plan.

BJP is giving another big shock to Jagan Regime. The Centre will not take responsibility for Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) works of Polavaram evacuees because it will require Rs. 33,000 Cr. Jagan Circar will be made accountable for R&R works. Obviously, to implement this plan, BJP AP President Kanna Lakshminarayana’s is visiting dam site to give a report to Polavaram Project Authority.

Conspiracy behind Mangalagiri Secretariat?

1

It looks funny but it is happening. Ruling YCP leaders are saying AP Secretariat will be shifted to Mangalagiri. Can anybody call this shifting at all? Mangalagiri is just 8 kilometres away from present Secretariat location at Velagapudi village. Still the government is not officially making a step forward. Amid this, the TDP is bringing back its demand for reviving the multi-crore Amaravati Capital City works.

Analysts say that the YCP stand is enough to say that there is a deep-rooted, caste-based conspiracy behind this smart move of Jagan Regime. With this decision, obviously two birds can be killed at one shot. First, TDP’s move to prevent capital shifting can be defeated. Second, Jagan’s main dream to destroy Amaravati farmers will be fulfilled.

If Secretariat is moved to Mangalagiri, technically it will be AP Capital. Obviously, Jagan badly wants to kill the Amaravati capital dream. Buildings worth hundreds of crores in Amaravati will be left unfinished and all that money will go waste. Amaravati farmers will go to court which will become needless, bitter litigation on a massive scale.

From all this, it is clear more than ever that Jagan Team is hell bent on taking its sweet revenge against one particular caste. Jagan has achieved huge success in tarnishing Amaravati image by saying that only one caste farmers are taking most benefit. For various reasons, this harmful theory has got positive response from more sections than expected.

Andhra launches free mass eye screening programme

0

The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday launched a free mass eye screening programme with an aim to eradicate blindness.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the programme ‘Dr YSR Kanti Velugu’ at Anantapur on the occasion of ‘World Sight Day’.

As a part of health reforms, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government decided to implement the programme to provide cashless comprehensive primary, secondary and tertiary quality eye care services to the state’s entire population.

The programme, to be implemented in six phases over the next three years, is estimated to cost about Rs 560.88 crore including free eye screening, spectacles, strengthening of government institutions, hiring of temporary staff, cataract surgeries and other secondary and tertiary eye care management.

Under the first phase, which was launched on Thursday and will continue till October 16, over 70 lakh students will receive primary basic screening by Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), teachers, Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) and other staff members.

The two-months-long second phase will be launched on November 1. In this phase, secondary screening and prescription of spectacles will be provided to the students.

The Chief Minister said that over 70 lakh students of more than 62,000 government and private schools will be covered in the first two phases.

He said that the programme would prove a boon to the entire population as an estimated 2.12 crore people were suffering from eye-related problems.

“If the problems are not detected in time and necessary measures are not taken to address them, they could lead to total blindness,” said Reddy.

From the third to sixth phase, the state government will provide primary mass eye screening, prescription and distribution of spectacles, secondary and tertiary care management (cataract surgeries, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy etc.) to one crore people through village volunteers, ASHA, ANM, Primary Health Centre staff, Para Medical Ophthalmic Officers (PMOOs), all government institutions, Vision Centres, NGOs and all other healthcare functionaries.

Officials said that 1,145 primary health centres, 195 community health centres, 28 area hospitals, 13 district hospitals, 11 tertiary hospitals (Including 2 regional eye hospitals), 115 vision centres, 13 district blindness control societies and 117 registered NGO hospitals will be involved in the programme.

Those participating in the implementation of the ‘Dr YSR Kanti Velugu’ scheme will include 160 district programme officers, 1,415 health officials, 42,360 ASHA workers, 62,500 teachers, 14,000 ANMs and 14,000 health department employees.

KCR blow to Andhra in reorganisation issues

1

For reasons not known, Andhra Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy considers Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao as his elder brother. Maybe because of this, Jagan has immediately given away AP buildings in Hyderabad Secretariat to Telangana government. No questions asked. KCR was saying that there is a good atmosphere in Telugu states for resolving AP-Telangana reorganisation issues amicably. There is also no need for the Centre to interfere.

But now, KCR has dragged the reorganisation issues once again to the Union Home Ministry. Telangana is arguing that the division of Schedule 9 and 10 corporations should be taken up based on geographical location. It would naturally get 90 per cent advantage as most of the assets of RTC, civil supplies corporation, Transco, Genco, etc are located in Hyderabad.

Now it is clear that the big brother has returned to his old tricks. He did not rest till Andhras are kicked out of Hyderabad and Telangana soil. Now, his mission is to cripple the new Andhra state in such a way that it will never recover again. KCR’s dream of spoiling Andhra capital was fulfilled by Jagan. But he is not giving anything in return. Doubts are coming up whether the CMs of Telugu states are solely and mutually promoting their personal interests and not bothered about people’s welfare at all.

Jagan ultimatum to Daggubati family: BJP offensive

1

For CM Jaganmohan Reddy, the BJP criticism is becoming more unbearable than the main opposition TDP in Andhra. Moreover, the Modi government at the Centre is not at all supporting Jagan Circar programmes and activities. Obviously because of this, CM Jagan is under great pressure due to lack of financial resources and denial of bank loans for his ‘Navaratnalu’ Cash Transfer sops. At such a time, Jagan has decided not to go easy on BJP. He is now silently targeting BJP leaders on a par with TDP.

The immediate target is the Daggubati family. In 2019 election, Jagan was generous enough to allow Daggubati Venkateswara Rao to contest on YCP ticket in Parchuru assembly segment while his wife Purandeswari contested in Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat on BJP ticket. Both lost but Venkateswara Rao became central figure in Parchuru segment as he is incharge of the ruling party.

But now, Jagan changed his strategy and started acting tough towards Daggubati family. He sent a message to Daggubati Venkateswara Rao to convince his wife to join YCP. If she is unwilling, then it is for Rao to join the BJP. Jagan gave a hint that it is time for Daggubati family to be in one party altogether. Venkateswara Rao is already sidelined in Parchuru affairs.

AP real estate in YCP grip: Nellore MLAs clash

0

In the name of new sand policy, the ruling YCP has got total control over the construction industry in the state. Ruling party Ministers and MLAs are very busy with their real estate ventures every where. They have openly colluded with sand and construction mafias. Only their ventures are able to get sand supply while others are struggling to pay huge amounts.

The internal struggle for real estate control is triggering clashes between YCP leaders. The clash has reached a point of no return between Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy. Kotamreddy entered Kakani’s territory and threatened MPDO Sarala for not approving his ventures. This led to the arrest of Kotamreddy who declared a war against Kakani.

The two MLAs are now called to State Capital. CM Jagan has decided to personally resolve the issue. But the opposition parties say that the situation has slipped out of Jagan’s hands. Former Minister Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao says that the YCP Ministers have become partners in sand and real estate mafia. Without their support, there is no way any real estate firm can run its activities in the state now.

Andhra a high risk state under Jagan?

0

CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s favourite word is credibility. Very ironically, his government got stuck in a huge credibility crisis. He was talking a lot about how his ‘Navaratnalu’ Cash Transfer welfare programmes would be ideal for the entire country till recently. He was assuring Andhra people that the banks will generously give loans to fund ‘Navaratnalu’. Interestingly, Jagan couldn’t bring a single rupee loan additionally.

Obviously, the financial institutions would analyse all risk factors. They are considering Andhra under Jagan Regime as a high risk state. Jagan’s immature decisions in the past five months are the reasons for this sad state. Now, CM Jagan can neither come backward nor go forward. He got trapped in a Padmavyooham. Naidu Circar took massive loans and began world class projects like Amaravati. Jagan failed to understand the financial implications of such big ventures. By reversing these sensitive projects, Jagan caused irreversible harm. He amassed such negative image that may not cause personal loss to him but it would leave Andhra a crippled state worse than ever.

Jagan is a greater ‘Sticker CM’ than Naidu: BJP

0

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu never directly used the official machinery in the party image-building activities. But still BJP leaders mockingly called him as a Sticker CM. Their allegation wasn’t that Naidu was using Central funds in a big way but never gave any credit to PM Modi. Now, the Jagan Reddy government is straightaway using the employees in party related activities. Police officials were seen in videos personally pasting Jagan stickers on the auto rickshaws.

These videos stirred big debates in social media as the opposition parties ridiculed the ruling party’s shameless activities. BJP State President Kanna Laxminarayana commented that now it is clear Jaganmohan Reddy is a greater Sticker CM than Chandrababu. How can the police department so openly do such activities? Jagan Reddy has converted police officers into YCP workers. The ruling party flag colours are being used for stickers and government buildings.

SBI questions Andhra Pradesh financial health

0

The AP government received a shocking setback from the State Bank of India (SBI). The biggest national bank in India is refusing to sanction fresh loans to AP projects. The SBI has raised new suspicions on the poisoned political atmosphere in Andhra because of Jagan’s Reverse Rule in the past five months. SBI officials are asking whether the loans taken by Jagan Reddy Circar now would be repaid by another party government which may defeat YCP in Jamili 2023 election.

The SBI is coming out with such doubts just because CM Jagan Reddy has totally dishonoured all the financial and industrial agreements signed by previous Chandrababu Circar. Interestingly, the SBI wrote a frank letter to the AP Power Finance Corporation Ltd (APPFCL) asking for its repaying capacity in the event of political interference and vendetta. These doubts of SBI gain strength from the fact that CM Jagan Reddy is spending all state revenue and also diverting funds of developmental projects to his ‘Navaratnalu’ free welfare schemes to his vote banks.

An analyst says that Jagan’s ‘Navaratnalu’ (nine jewels) are slowly becoming ‘Navasapalu’ (nine curses) for Andhra people. No central financial organisation is ready to give loans or credit to AP now. The state is descending into deep economic crisis.

Jagan shifting Secretariat to Mangalagiri?

5

Rumours are circulating fast in official circles that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has given his green signal for shifting Andhra Secretariat from Amaravati Capital City to the nearby Mangalagiri town. CM has taken this decision based on reports submitted by senior IAS officers who are eager to relocate to nearby area to Vijayawada. They have proposed to occupy some buildings in Nagarjuna University and also construct some new buildings in open spaces in its vicinity.

This idea is nothing new as Mangalagiri YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has long been talking about his town as the future Andhra Capital. Obviously, Jagan Circar is using IAS officers’ reports as a pretext to shift Capital out of Amaravati. The officials and Secretariat employees are now thinking of their own petty personal interests like easier conveyance from home to office.

Construction of several apartment complexes for officials in Amaravati was stopped by Jagan already. Hundreds of crores are already spent on them. All this money will go waste. So, Jagan requested Modi for funds to construct new Secretariat buildings newly in Mangalagiri area but not to develop Amaravati.

Modi not coming to inaugurate YSR Rythu Bharosa?

0

BJP AP President Kanna Laxminarayana is taking strong objection to the use of YSR name for the Rythu Bharosa welfare programme. How can Jagan use his father’s name when he is using half the funds from the Centre’s assistance? Kanna says that the Modi government is giving Rs. 6,000 under Kisan Yojana but this is being included in the YSR Rythu Bharosa. Jagan is trying to claim the credit for the funds given by the Centre.

Kanna has met BJP National Working President JP Nadda and submitted these details. Following this, PM Modi’s was informed about this prior to Jagan’s visit. This is why PM has not given any commitment to come and inaugurate Rythu Bharosa as per Jagan invitation. BJP leaders say that it’s almost certain that Modi will not visit AP.

This is going to be a big embarrassment for CM Jaganmohan Reddy who has said several times in the past that Modi would grace the function. YSR Rythu Bharosa is the most important among Navaratnalu promises. Jagan is allocating nearly Rs. 6000 Cr for Rythu Bharosa alone.
