Why did Brahmanandam miss F3?
F3 is the sequel for F2 and the film had a bunch of top-rated actors and comedians. The film’s director Anil Ravipudi tried hard to rope in veteran comedian Brahmanandam for a crucial role but he missed the opportunity. Brahmanandam underwent heart surgery right before the pandemic and has been quite selective with films. Anil narrated a crucial role for Brahmanandam but the veteran comedian was hesitant to participate in the shoot during the second wave of pandemic.
He was not ready to work during the pandemic time and stayed away from shoot. Anil Ravipudi penned one more role for Brahmanandam but it did not work due to various reasons. Brahmanandam thanked Anil Ravipudi for his affection towards him. He shot for an interview with the team of F3 during which he shared the news. The interview was loaded with fun. Brahmanandam played an important role in Krishna Vamsi’s upcoming movie Rangamarthanda which will release soon.
‘Unstoppable with NBK’: Anil Ravipudi, Brahmanandam appear on Balakrishna’s show
Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna’s celebrity talk show ‘Unstoppable with NBK’ is flying high and the show has grabbed the attention of the Telugu OTT audience with record-breaking viewership.
As the third episode of the show is coming soon, the makers unveiled a brand new promo that features Balakrishna in conversation with ace comedian Brahmanandam and Telugu film director Anil Ravipudi. The trio is seen having fun.
To everyone’s surprise, Balakrishna is seen enacting Venkatesh Daggubati’s signature ‘Venky Aasan’ from Ravipudi’s super hit movie ‘F2’. The promo has ticked hundreds of views, creating hype around the upcoming episode with the three.
Noted actors Manchu Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishu Vardhan Babu, and Manchu Lakshmi appeared on the first episode of the show while the second episode had Telugu hero Nani.
There is talk that the show will witness Telugu star Mahesh Babu in one of the upcoming episodes.
Balakrishna’s latest movie ‘Akhanda’ was released in theatres on Thursday. With positive reports from all over, the Boyapati Srinu directorial seems to be a hit for Balakrishna.
Brahmanandam bumper offer to Sohail
Big boss contestant Sohail is getting huge appreciation from celebrities even though he stood at 3rd position in the grand finale of Bigg boss 4. In an interview with social media channel he revealed about the bumper offer he received from tollywood comedian Brahmanandam recently.
Sohail is one contestant who entered Bigg boss season 4 as an underdog but reached finale because of his behaviour and sweet nature. When Nagarjuna gave an offer to take the money of 25 lacs and come out of the competition for the trophy winner to the top 3 contestants, Sohail thought practically and came out of the show by taking money. He also got appreciation from Megastar Chiranjeevi and king Nagarjuna, who announced financial help to Sohail. In addition to this, Megastar chiranjeevi issued him of doing a cameo role if Sohail really makes a movie. In a recent interview Sohail told that he got call from tollywood comedian Brahmanandam, who told him that he watched Bigg boss only for Sohail. Brahmanandam also assured Sohail of doing a role without any remuneration if he makes a movie.
Currently Sohail is on cloud nine for other reception he is getting from the celebrities as well as the audience. But we need to wait and see whether he will really make a movie or all this initial enthusiasm will fade away in the coming days.
Brahmanandam aims a strong comeback
Veteran actor and comedian Brahmanandam was once the busiest and highest-paid actors of Telugu cinema. Eventually, he lost craze because of his repetitive roles and because of doing too many films. Brahmanandam has been struggling for offers from some time. We have an interesting news about the veteran actor’s comeback. Brahmanandam will be seen playing a crucial role in Ranga Marthanda, a social drama that is directed by Krishna Vamsi. Prakash Raj is playing the title role in the movie.
What’s so surprising is that Brahmanandam is not making his comeback with a comic role. He will be playing a serious role in Ranga Marthanda and has enough prominence after Prakash Raj’s role. His role ends up tragic and the audience will be moved up with the character. Krishna Vamsi felt that Brahmanandam could do justice for the role and finalized him. Brahmanandam is confident in making a comeback with this role. The film will resume shoot soon and will release next year.
Trivikram shares a funny incident about Brahmanandam
Sensible director Trivikram is on cloud nine after his recent directorial Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has been declared as a blockbuster. What left the audience in surprise is the cameo of Brahmanandam in the song ‘Ramuloo Ramula’ and this thrilled the audience. He said that they kept extra efforts to keep this news under wraps. “Hiding a cat or a rat is quite easy, but hiding an elephant in a room is something very difficult. Finally, our efforts are not wasted” said Trivikram.
During the Thanks Meet of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo today, Trivikram shared a funny incident that took place some time ago. “I came to know that Brahmanandam garu was not well and he underwent surgery. I went to meet him with Rs 2500 worth flowers. When I entered his house, he was quite energetic dancing on the steps, playing with his grandchildren. I threw the flowers in the dustbin instead of giving them to him after witnessing his energy. Brahmanandam garu, you owe me Rs 2500 and I will recover them from you” said Trivikram.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo featuring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde is running with packed houses all over. A grand success meet of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is planned to take place on January 18th in Vizag.
Brahmanandam switches to character roles?
He ruled the Telugu film industry once. Until two years ago, no film would have released without the presence of star comedian Brahmanandam but everything is changed now. He is virtually having no new offers. The films that he did in the recent past became duds. Brahmanandam lost out to a new crop of actors like Vennela Kishore.
One can hardly recount a single movie which saw Brahmi in his elements in the recent past.
Now, he is switching to character roles. In director Krishnavamsi’s new movie ‘Rangamarthanda’, he is said to be playing an emotional character. He will not perform comedy. Brahmi is going to get much screen space in this remake movie. He is counting on this character.
If this film succeeds, he will slowly shift to playing father roles. The veteran actor wants to turn busy again.
Brahmi reveals the real reason for his downfall in Tollywood
Veteran comedian Brahmanandam entertained the Tollywood audience for over three and half decades. He is one among the highest paid comedians and he carried several films on his shoulders which even had star heroes in the lead roles. However Brahmi suddenly vanished and has been seen in very limited films from the past couple of years. Most of his recent films ended up as duds and there have been comments that his comic timing turned outdated for the audience. The actor is all set to don a new avatar as a host for a comic show on small screen. The television show starts today and the actor during his recent interview revealed the real reasons for falling short of offers.
“I turned quite selective and started picking up interesting roles that will thoroughly entertain the audience because of which Brahmanandam is seen in limited films. I also wanted the next generation audience to essay different types of comic roles. I always follow Live and Let Live policy. There is heaps of talent among the young generation and I want to see them perform well on screen. I have done enough films and entertained the audience to the core. Now it’s time for the next generation actors to prove their mettle. I am not here to dominate others and earn money. I am satisfied with my career. Now I am testing my luck as a host” revealed Brahmanandam.
Brahmanandam to host a Comic Show
Veteran comedian Brahmanandam got vanished from the race in Tollywood after several young actors proved their mettle in Telugu cinema. From the highest paid comedian to an actor left with no offers, Brahmi is now gearing up to test his luck with a television show which will roll soon. Brahmanandam will host and will judge the show which has been titled ‘The Great Telugu Laughter Challenge.
The television show will be on the lines of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Interestingly, the actor immediately gave his nod after the makers approached him. He is said to have been charged a bomb for the first franchise which will have a series of episodes. Brahmanandam’s recent outings received poor response and the actor too is looking for a fresh breath from some time.

Energetic Star Ram and Rashi Khanna are busy shaking a leg to the dance moves choreographed by Jhonny master in Hyderabad. A song, which is a very peppy number is being shot on Ram and Rashi Khanna in and around Hyderabad. Audio release function of this movie will be held on September 12th 2015 at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad.
Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali, Jayaprakash Reddy and other senior actors are playing key roles in this confusion drama. Shivam is being directed by debutant Srinivas Reddy who earlier assisted Surender Reddy. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music. Producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is planning to release the movie on October 2nd 2015.
Brahmanandam said I’m his second guru: Relangi
Eluka Mazaka is in the post production stage and director Relangi Narasimha Rao heaps praise on Brahmanandam. ” Brahmanandam is Jandhyala’s disciple and he mentioned that I am his second guru. We hear reports that Brahmanandam creates problems on the sets but he never did that with me. Maa kallu eduruga paiki vocchaadu, he has worked in many of our films. This is the first time I am working with Vennela Kishore, he is disciplined and minds his business. Pavani worked in Maya Mahal, her film didn’t work but here she will be recognised. Every dialogue is hilarious. Brahmanandam will be the voice of the mouse. He has extraordinary maturity as an actor, earlier we would explain every scene to him, now you don’t need to. Tell him a scene and he adds his own thing and makes it better. For any film there should be a subject value, even if you have Mahesh Babu it won’t run. Srimanthudu worked because it has content. R Naraynamurthy did the same village stuff, but it became a beaten track but people after seeing Srimanthudu felt this was like a new subject. Mahesh Babu meedha kotthaga anipinchindi.”
Retain Padmasri, don’t misuse: SC tells Mohanbabu
Noted actor and former Rajya Sabha member Mohanbabu on Monday got a breather from Apex court over the ban imposed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court with regard to using Padmasri as honorific.
The Supreme Court set aside the High Court ruling that stripped Mohan Babu Padma Shri award following a petition by former BJP state president N Indrasena Reddy.
Reddy contended that the actor Mohanbabu and another actor Brahmanandam had misused the civilian award in the titles of his movie ‘Denikaina Ready’ and ‘Jhummandi Naadam’. Reddy also sought annulment of Padmsri awarded to Brahmanandam.
According to the petitioner, prefixing Padmasri to the their name was violation of Article 18(1) and earlier directions of Supreme Court.Convinced with argument, in the first of its kind order in the country, the Hyderabad High Court, in February 2014, directed the union home ministry to recommend to the president of India to annul the Padmasri accorded to Mohan Babu in 2007 and Brahmanandam in 2009.
Later in April 2014, both Mohanbabu and Brahmanandam moved the SC.
A Division Bench of Justices H L Dattu and SA Bodde, upon hearing their senior counsel Soli Sorabjee , directed the actors not to misuse the civilian title. Then SC stayed the High Court order.
Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam assured the Apex Court in writing that they would not misuse the titles.
In the petition filed by Mohanbau court ruled that he could retain the Padmasri.
It may be recalled that a government press release on April 17, 1968 , had clarified that using the Padma awards as titles on letterheads, invitation cards, posters, books etc, violated the spirit of the constitution, which has abolished titles.
