Telangana minister finds fault with Guv for targeting govt

0

Telangana’s Minister for Animal Husbandry, T. Srinivas Yadav, on Wednesday found fault with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for criticising the state government by holding press meets.

He said it is unbecoming for a person holding a Constitutional post to criticise the government by holding press conferences.

“Our government has been elected by the people. We are not nominated persons,” said Yadav in an obvious reaction to certain remarks made by the Governor while talking to reporters in Delhi on Monday.

“It’s not correct to say whatever she likes. It’s also not proper for the Governor to say that she does not want to work with this Chief Minister,” said Yadav, who accused Tamilisai of speaking like a political leader.

The minister said making remarks against a government elected by the people is not fair.

He said she should know her limitations as a Governor and advised her to discharge her Constitutional duties, and not speak like a politician.

Tamilisai has been drawing flak from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government ever since she alleged that the state government insulted her and violated Governor’s protocol.

The Governor, who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah a few days ago, visited Delhi again on Monday.

She is believed to have submitted a report to the Centre against All India Services officers for breach of protocol. Talking to reporters, she again trained guns on the state government.

Meanwhile, Congress’ national spokesperson Dasoju Sravan has slammed those trolling Tamilisai. He wondered if they were ruthlessly trolling her because she is a woman and that too from a backward class.

Sravan recalled that when E.S.L. Narasimhan was the Governor, he had overruled several decisions of the former Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh.

“But he was never humiliated or trolled the way the current Governor of Telangana is! Why is there so much animosity towards the state’s first citizen, a woman from the OBC community,” he tweeted.

KCR will lead farmers agitation: Talasani

1

After IT and MAUD K T Rama Rao’s tweet, another TRS minister has sharply reacted to the Union government’s agriculture bills.

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav slammed at the Modi government for introducing the three crucial farm bills in the Parliament stating that the move was intended at handing over the agriculture sector to corporate biggies.

Talasani said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao could lead a nation-wide farmers agitation against the agriculture bills. Calling the move to introduce the bills in Parliament as ‘anti farmer’, Talasani stated, “Where was the need to introduce the bills at a time the entire farming community faced heavy losses due to rains and COVID-induced lockdown.”

He further lashed out at the ruling party for introducing the bills without a voice vote or debate in the House. Talasani said even Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu was against the bill therefore the Vice-President abstained himself when the Bill was passed.

Earlier in the day, K T Rama Rao hailed the Telangana government on September 9 legislation introduced in the Assembly stating that they were intended to overhaul the revenue administration by simplifying agriculture and non-agricultural land transactions, preventing land encroachments, and eradicating corruption at the grassroots level. The IT Minister believes that the Telangana government’s revenue bills did not receive any backlash from the farming community, but the central government’s Agriculture Bills had faced protests from various quarters, mainly from farmers.

KTR took a jibe at the Modi government for passing the agriculture bills. Taking to his Twitter handle, KTR commented, “When Telangana legislature passed the farmer-friendly Revenue Bill last week, there was widespread jubilation and cheer among the farming community across the state. If the #Agriculture Bills2020 is truly a watershed moment, why is no farmer celebrating and why are NDA allies resigning.”

KTR was referring to the deep fissures between the ruling BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal alliance over the farm bill. Union Food Processing Minister Harismrat Kaur had quit from the Cabinet in protest against the three farm bills calling them “anti-farmer ordinances and legislations”.

Did administration come to a halt with KCR’s absence, asks Talasani

1

Tourism and cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav Animal Husbandry fired at the Opposition parties for raising doubts over the health condition of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“Why are the Opposition parties worried about KCR? What is the loss for the Opposition parties if the chief minister is not in action? Did the administration come to halt with the absence of the Chief Minister? Have the welfare schemes stopped with his absence? Some useless opposition leaders are unnecessarily raising a non-issue,” Talasani slammed while stating that reimposing lockdown in Hyderabad will be of little help. Perhaps, taking a cue from AP Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, Talasani said the coronavirus “comes and goes” citing the examples of Home Minister Mahamood Ali, deputy speaker Padmarao and Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao who recovered after contracting the virus.

He said the Opposition leaders were simply wasting their time in worrying over the health condition of the Chief Minister. Without naming any Opposition leaders, he took potshots at them for raising doubts over KCR’s health.

Earlier, State Congress leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jeevan Reddy had raised doubts over the health of the Chief Minister and accused KCR of “hiding” in his farm house at a time the state was going through severe financial and health crisis due to the pandemic. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president and Malkajgiri MLA Revanth Reddy took to his Twitter handle demanding that the health ministry release a bulletin on the health condition of KCR. State BJP and CPI leaders too sought to know the reason behind the mysterious disappearance of the Chief Minister after announcing the PV Narasimha Rao centenary celebrations at a function at PV Ghat on the Necklace Road on June 28. However, KCR had not been active in public programmes or daily press briefings.

On Wednesday, a petitioner moved the Telangana High Court seeking to know the reasons behind the absence of KCR. The petitioner, Naveen alias Teenmar Mallanna, had filed a Mandamus petition in the Telangana High Court expressing concern over the health of the Chief Minister. The petitioner sought to know through the court the health condition of the CM.

In his petition, Naveen stated that more than 30 employees of Pragathi Bhavan, including security personnel and outsourcing staff, contracted the virus over the last two weeks. Further, the petitioner cited that social media was abuzz with the news that the Chief Minister had moved to his Gajwel farm house along with his family members after Covid-19 entered his official residence ‘Pragathi Bhavan’. The petitioner also pointed out that the Chief Minister had failed to discharge his duties ever since he had left Pragathi Bhavan. Further, he contended that officials of various departments too are shying away from their duties taking advantage of the Chief Minister’s absence.

Concerns over the health of the chief minister were being raised with some of his colleagues contracting the virus. The state had been reporting more than 1,500 cases each day. The pandemic has entered all the government offices and several employees were tested positive for Covid-19, forcing the government to shut the government offices. Even legislators had contracted the virus. Telangana Home minister Mahamood Ali was tested positive for Covid-19 although he was discharged from a private hospital after he recovered. Three MLAs, including Jagan legislator Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Nizamabad Rural and Urban MLAs Bajireddy Govardhan and Ganesh Gupta were tested positive for coronavirus.

KCR gives green signal to film shootings after meeting with Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna

0

In a big relief to the Telugu film industry, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Friday gave a green signal to movie shootings from June, but asked the film industry to prepare an action plan on the limited resumption of film shooting and pre-production activities by adhering to social distancing norms amidst the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

Rao on Friday met a number of producers and actors from the Telugu film industry including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Rajamouli, Allu Arvind, Trivikram Srinivas, Dil Raju, Suresh Babu, Koratla Shiva, N Shankar among others. Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, Telangana minister for cinematography Talasani Srinivasa Yadav said the Telugu film industry representatives apprised the CM of several issues related to the industry arising out of the pandemic.

“The CM asked the film industry to draw out an action plan on how shooting and pre-production activities can be resumed in a limited way by adhering to social distancing and other norms,” Talasani Srinivas Yadav told mediapersons after the meeting with delegation of representatives of the film industry.

In the meeting, the Telugu film industry bigwigs told Rao lakhs of workers and technicians were affected as shooting activities were stopped due to the complete lockdown. “The film industry requested that the shootings be allowed, while strictly following the Covid-19 norms like maintenance of physical distancing and sanitation,” Talasani Yadav told the mediapersons after the meeting. “We have asked the film industry to come up with a plan. The situation would be reviewed by the chief minister and a decision on lifting restrictions on the industry would be taken after that,” Yadav said.

On Thursday, Tollywood’s biggies Nagarjuna, Rajamouli, Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, and Dil Raju, assembled at Chiranjeevi’s residence in Hyderabad for a meeting with Talasani Srinivas Yadav. The film industry representatives expressed concern over the huge losses incurred by the industry after the shootings were cancelled due to corona virus outbreak. Chiranjeevi told the minister that lakhs of workers and technicians were robbed of their livelihood due to the ongoing lockdown. “As have to live with the virus, film shootings should be allowed,” Chiranjeevi told the minister.

Work in film and TV industries in the state came to halt on March 23 in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. All cinema halls were shut down, the shootings were cancelled until further instructions from the government. Chiranjeevi suspended the shooting of his upcoming film Acharya, which is being directed by Koratala Siva. The shooting of SS Rajamouli’s film RRR has been put on hold due to coronavirus outbreak. The production of actor Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, the official remake of Pink, has now been postponed.

Talasani unsolicited advice to Amaravati farmers

0

Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav is a regular VIP guest at the Sankranti cock fights in West Godavari district. Every time, he causes lot of political bitterness with his damaging comments. This time, Talasani gave unsolicited advice to the agitating farmers of Amaravati Capital City. He advised the farmers to simply believe in the leadership of CM Jaganmohan Reddy and do everything the CM asks them to do.

Talasani says that it would be in the best interests of the farmers alone that they should not confront the AP CM who is known for his credibility track record. The Telangana Minister made indirect remarks against Chandrababu Naidu. If the Amaravati farmers trust in an alms-begging leader, it would be like swimming across the Godavari river with the help of a goat’s tail.

Every time AP is caught in a crisis, it has become a routine for KCR and his Ministers to make fun and get the maximum political advantage out of that by comparison. In the AP Capital issue also, the TRS leaders are getting happier as things are going as they expected.

TRS dismisses rumours on Hyderabad Union Territory status

0

A rumour is doing the rounds in Telugu states that the BJP is planning to make Hyderabad a Union Territory in order to eliminate the Telangana sentiment advantage to CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. The BJP also has plans to develop Hyderabad as a permanent second capital of India so that the party can strengthen itself in the Southern states. The rumour has triggered so much speculation that the TRS government was forced to give its clarification.

Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav dismissed the rumour as baseless and politically motivated. There’s no such proposal in front of the Union government. Interestingly, Talasani said that their party MPs extended full support to the BJP govt at the Centre on the passage of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill in the Parliament.

Analysts say that the Hyderabad public is discussing widely on Union Territory status just because their city has emerged as the fastest growing city in South India in the last two years thanks to booming IT industry. Moreover, Rashtrapati Nilayam is located in Bolarum in Hyderabad where the President visits and stays at least once a year. It has all the facilities for the President to conduct his official business.

T Minister Talasani fires on Chandrababu – data war

0

Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav asked how the TDP government makes conflicting statements on the details of AP people. “They are saying the people’s information is safe with the AP government but at the same time, they accuse the Telangana government of stealing information. Why is AP CM Chandrababu Naidu making one mistake after another? Why is he creating an imaginary and fake data war between the two states?” asked Talasani.

The TRS Ministers and leaders all together are joining to attack the TDP. Talasani says Chandrababu is damn afraid of defeat in the 2019 election. This is why he is making all sorts of allegations against CM KCR and the TRS government. This is apparently Naidu’s desperate attempt to create an anti-KCR sentiment among the AP people to win the election. Talasani says such attempts of TDP will not succeed.

The Telangana Minister advised Chandrababu to accept his government’s role in misuse of public information. It’s not correct to pass the blame on to innocent officials in AP. Talasani says no sentiment will help Chandrababu in the 2019 election.

Talasani satires on NBK and CBN

0

Talasani Srinivas Yadav, former minister of Telangana, made sarcastic comments on AP MLA and hero Bala Krishna. It is known news that Bala Krishna campaigned during Telangana elections but his campaigning did not yield any results. In fact the way he spoke Sare Jahaase achcha song was trolled a lot on social media.

Now Talasani gave a statement that wherever Bala Krishna campaigned, TDP lost in all those places and he reminded that TRS told the same even before elections. He told Bala Krishna’s statements are only to generate laughs and people never vote based on what Balayya speaks. He also responded on CBN’s comments that he only developed Hyderabad and questioned, if he is that capable, why he could not develop Amaravati in last 4 years.

Even though Telangana elections are over, war of words between TRS and TDP is still continuing. We will have to wait and see how TDP leaders respond on this.

Talasani: I have resigned in December last

0

Adding more confusion to the ‘resignation controversy’ Telangana commercial taxes minister Talasani Srinivas Yadava said he had resigned from Assembly way back in December itself.

He said he was moving around with a copy of the letter in the pocket. He flaunted it to the benefit of media.

Talasani had to give this clarification following pressure from Telugu Desam party and Congress for his resignation from Assembly as he defected from TDP to TRS.

He repeatedly claimed that the did submit his resignation letter to the speaker.

T-Congress , however, sought a copy of the resignation letter from Assembly speaker’s office under RTI Act. The speaker’s office  clarified that  it had not received any resignation letter from Talasani Srinivas Yadav. Later on Congress launched a campaign that Talasani had lied to the Assembly speaker, Governor and the chief minister. They demanded the governor that Talasani be booked under 420.

TDP also picked up the battle and yesterday staged a dharna  before Raj Bhavan protesting govenor’s inaction on the resignation controversy of TDP member who is now in TRS .  This forced Talasani to address media conference to clarify on the status of his resignation.  He also said the was ready to face by-election.

Then who is lying, Talasani or Speaker’s office? Why is it that the speaker not accepting the resignation? How come a constitutional authority misleads Congress when it sought information under RTI? Let us see how things will unfold in the next couple of days.

No cure for TDP’s Talasani headache

0

Telangana TDP today raised its voice against the Raj Bhavan’s inaction on getting Talasani Srinivasa Yadava, commericial taxes minister, resigned from cabinet and Assembly. For the past few days it was the Congress which took lead in questioning the continuance of Talasani. The party even invoked RTI Act to know the status of the resignation of minister from Speaker’s office.  Having realized that the Congress was stealing show, the TDP today called on the governor ESL Narasimhan and presented a memorandum seeing action against Talasani Yadav. However, the party however was not happy with the cool response from the governor. After coming out of Raj Bhavan the leaders suddenly sat on dharna at the gate condemning the inaction from Governor. They were also critical that even chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was also unethically allowing a TDP member continue in the cabinet.

Later, police entered the seen and took all the TDP leaders in to custody.

Talking to media, T-TDP’s working president E Dayakar Rao alleged Yadav misled everybody by stating that he had already sent in his resignation to the speaker’s office. “It is the responsibility of the speaker’s office to give clarity on the resignation of Yadav.  He also called upon chief minister KCR to take a moral stand on the issue and ask Yadav to resign and return to the Assembly by winning the by-election.
