Yesterday talented director Sekhar Kammula announced his third collaboration with Asian Cinemas and the project rolls after Sekhar Kammula is done with his current project. Sekhar Kammula has been working on the script of Leader 2 and there are speculations that the project is finalized. Sekhar Kammula is done with the script and he narrated it to Rana Daggubati and got his nod. The filming commences next year and an announcement would be made at the right time.

Rana is busy with Teja’s Rakshasa Raju and he has one more project lined up with Arka Media Works. Sekhar Kammula is directing Dhanush currently and Nagarjuna essays a key role in the film. Asian Cinemas is bankrolling this action entertainer and the film releases early next year.

Rana’s film to be made in Two Parts

Rana Daggubati has been on a break for the past few months and he hasn’t announced any new film. The actor is busy with finalizing content for Suresh Productions and he is holding talks with digital giants for web-based projects. Rana announced that he would soon work with Teja and the film is titled Rakshasa Raju. As per the ongoing buzz, the film is expected to be made in two parts and is a political thriller.

Teja is rumored to have been inspired by films like God Father and other thriller films to pen the script of Rakshasa Raju. Rana too loved the script. The pre-production work of the film is currently going on and the film will be launched in August. More details about the cast, crew members are expected to be announced officially soon by the makers.

Jr. NTR to Launch Chitram 1.1!

Some time back, director Teja announced the sequel to super hit film Chitram which was released in 2000. After 21 years, Teja is making the sequel with the title ‘Chitram 1.1’. In the original film, Uday Kiran and Reema Sen acted as leads.

Coming to this sequel, the complete cast and crew are yet to be revealed. However, there is a talk that Teja has roped in 40 debutants for the film! The pre-production work of the film is in full swing.

For a long time, it is being said that Jr NTR’s brother-in-law Narne Nithin Chandra will be making his debut as a hero. Now, another interesting news is doing rounds on social media. Jr. NTR has been invited as a launching guest and some other popular cine people will also attend the event. The launching event will take place on 18 April.

Teja tested positive with coronavirus

Veteran director Teja made some sensational comments in the recent times after the shoots of Telugu films got stalled due to coronavirus. He said that he would start the shoot of his upcoming project from August or September. Teja is recently tested positive with coronavirus. Teja has been to Mumbai to attend a meeting about a web series that will be directed by him soon. He may have got infected with coronavirus in Mumbai. The tests are conducted to the family members of Teja and they are tested negative.

Teja is currently monitored by health officials. Before this, top director SS Rajamouli is tested positive with coronavirus and Rajamouli along with his family are in home quarantine. Teja will take a break till he recovers before returning back to work.

Teja opens up about Sita re-shoot

Teja is one Tollywood director who is outspoken and has a frank stand about his films before their release. During the pre-release event of his next release Sita, Teja spoke frankly saying that he attempted a good film and the result completely depends on how the audience accepts Sita. Teja even said that he had to re-shoot some of the episodes after star writers Paruchuri Brothers suggested changes after watching the film.

“After completing the shoot, I showed the footage to Paruchuri Brothers. They suggested me changes and I removed some scenes, added few new scenes for the film. I don’t have great judgment for films. I did a film which I feel is 90% good. The audience will have to say if it is good or not. I look intelligent after wearing spectacles but I don’t have an intelligent brain. I am addicted to films and irrespective of hits and flops, I will continue doing movies” said Teja.

Sita features Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Kajal in the lead roles. The film is hitting the screens this Friday.

It is known news that NTR biopic was originally started in the direction of Teja but later taken over by Krish. However the movie released during Pongal became one of the biggest disaster in the history of Tollywood.

Director Teja was asked to respond on NTR biopic movie by media today. Teja didn’t make any negative comments while leaving the project. Now also he didn’t make any negative comments but he told, he doesn’t have time to watch that movie as he is busy with his next project. He added that, he will respond after seeing the movie. When asked if lack of drama affected the movie result, he told, it’s the responsibility of the director to take care of such things.

Anyway, people as well as industry waiting curiously to see how second part of the NTR biopic, that is slated to release in February first week, fares at box office

Naga Shaurya to team up with Sekhar Kammula’s protege

The encouraging success of Chalo has infused a new energy into Naga Shaurya’s career. He is currently awaiting the release of Narthanasala and has a couple of films lined up next.

It is exclusively learnt that the Oohalu Gusagusalade actor has signed another interesting project. According to reports, Shaurya will next team up with Sekhar Kammula’s protege Teja for a film titled as Gana. This film will be produced by Shaurya’s home banner IRA Creations. The title has been taken from lead character’s name ‘Ganapathi’.

Teja, who was trained in New York for his directional skills, worked as assistant to Sekhar Kammula for Fidaa. Reports suggest that he had penned a fresh and invigorating script for Shaurya and got the nod. More details about the project will be out soon.

He has now moved on to his next project which will star Bellamkonda Srinivas in the lead role. To be bankrolled by Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainment banner. The official launch of this untitled project will take place this Monday in Hyderabad.

Reigning actress Kajal Aggarwal will be play one of the female leads in the film.

Teja who is on a break is keen on directing the biopic of young actor Uday Kiran whom he introduced as a lead actor. Uday Kiran shot fame soon in Telugu cinema and he was soon depressed after he tasted a series of debacles.

Unable to battle depression, Uday Kiran hanged himself and passed away at an early age. Teja is one director who got to watch Uday Kiran’s career from a close side and hence he decided to direct the biopic of Uday Kiran. Teja lost two biggies in a month. What Next?

Sensational director Teja tasted a series of debacles and he bounced back to the league with Nene Raju Nene Mantri after a gap of ten years. Impressed with his work, Victory Venkatesh asked him to pen an interesting script and this is how Aata Nade Veta Nade happened. The ace director has been approached to direct the prestigious NTR’s biopic at the same time which kept him puzzled. He wanted to work for both the projects simultaneously as he is not in a mood to lose any of the biggies.

After working for two months, he realized it is impossible to work on two projects at the same time. It is during this time, he decided to step out of Venky’s film and the project has been shelved with Teja’s exit. He shifted his focus towards NTR biopic but it is due to the creative differences, Teja forced himself to walk out of the project. Within a gap of just a month, Teja lost his luck and walked out of two prestigious projects.

But the ace director is quite confident on his comeback soon. While Venky shifted his focus towards Anil Ravipudi’s F2, Balakrishna and his team have been in hunt for the right director to helm NTR. Teja is expected to announce his next film soon.

Venky – Teja film, delayed or shelved ?

Director Teja announced a film with Victory Venkatesh last year and it was formally launched a couple of months ago. The regular shooting was supposed to commence by this time, but that didn’t happen till now. It is heard that Teja is not yet completed the script work for some part of the film.

Meanwhile, Venky signed a film each for directors Anil Ravipudi and Bobby. Both these films are likely to commence later this year. On the other side, Teja and Balakrishna are planning to release NTR biopic in 2018 at any cost.

So, speculations are rife in industry circles that Teja – Venky project is likely to be put in back burner. However, the production denied the news and said the regular shooting will commence from last week of April.

We have to wait and see if the project is really happening after a string of delays or is it getting shelved due to the other commitments of Teja and Venkatesh.

Reportedly, Teja wants to cast Paresh Rawal for the role of former Chief Minister Nadendla Bhaskar Rao who outwitted NTR and claimed the coveted chair of CM at one point of time.

Both Vidya Balan and Paresh Rawal had narration, but they are yet to sign the dotted line. So, Teja is waiting for their nod to complete the casting process.

Is Teja sailing in two boats ?

There is a saying – You cannot sail in two boats at a time. Director Teja is doing exactly the same. It is well known that he bagged two big projects after Nene Raju Nene Mantri. One film is prestigious NTR biopic and the other is much awaited Victory Venkatesh’s film.

Unfortunately, both these projects couldn’t start rolling as they were initially planned for. NTR biopic was supposed to kick off by this time. But, the extensive post production work has delayed the start. There were reports that the formal launch of the film will be held in March. That too looks doubtful given that there is still plenty of pre production work left for the team.

Due to NTR biopic, Teja initially decided to defer Venky’s project. Later, there was some change in plans and it has been confirmed that Venky’s film will start rolling first. As he is concentrating on NTR biopic, this project also got delayed till now.

It is little rare these days that a director juggles between two different projects at a time. Teja is trying his best to put foot on two boats at a time. It remains to be seen if his juggling act impacts the quality of work for both these prestigious films.

Venky finally gets his lady ?

The quest for the leading lady of star hero Victory Venkatesh’s upcoming film with director Teja at the helm seems to have finally ended with Shriya Saran.

According to the latest reports, Shriya has been finalized as the heroine opposite Venky after Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari has opted out of the project due to her packed schedule. Teja and his team considered several options before zeroing on the experienced Shriya who is currently on a rebound in her second innings with substantial offers.

Shriya and Venky shared screen space for several films earlier.

Tentatively titled as Aata Naade Veta Naade, the film will be jointly produced by Anil Sunkara and Suresh Babu. The regular shooting will commence shortly.

The similar thing happened for Rana’s Nene Raju Nene Mantri and the result was quite evident.

It is interesting to see that while many producers fall for director’s whims and fancies , only Suresh has proven time and again that he is a tough task master.
