Box-office Weekend: Thimmarusu holds well

Tollywood reopened back to business from Friday and the theatres are reopened last weekend across the Telugu states. Thimmarusu and Ishq were released all over in a decent number of screens and both the films reported decent footfalls. With poor response from the audience, the collections of Ishq dropped down badly right on the first day. Thimmarusu received decent response and the numbers have been strong over the weekend. The film performed well in A centres all over.

Thimmarusu ended up as a winner for the weekend. The film was directed by Sharan Koppisetty and Satyadev, Priyanka Jawalkar played the lead roles in this crime thriller. S Originals and East Coast Productions are the producers. While there are no restrictions in Telangana, the theatres in Andhra Pradesh are screening films with 50 percent occupancy and three shows per day.

NTR unveils Thimmarusu’s power-packed trailer

Satyadev-starrer Thimmarusu cleared the Censor process with U/A certificate, its trailer has been released by NTR today.

The trailer that runs for around two minutes looks intense and it shows glimpses of the protagonist’s fight for justice. The makers are getting ready to release the film in theatres on July 30.

Satyadev is playing an advocate who deals a challenging case in the movie. Recently, a promo song from the film went on to become chartbuster.

Thimmarusu receives U/A from Censor, gears up to hit screens July 30

Thimmarusu starring Satyadev in the lead has obtained U/A certificate from the Censor Board, following which it will hit the screens on July 30 to become the first Telugu cinema to be released in theatres post the second wave of Covid-19.

Directed by Sharan Koppisetty and produced by Mahesh S Koneru and Yarabolu Srujan, the film has Satyadev playing a lawyer.

The film is bankrolled under East Coast Productions, S Originals. This comes after Satyadev’s recent hit Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya.

Sricharan Pakala has composed the music. The titular character is named after Mahamanthri Thimmarusu of the Vijayanagara Empire.

Satyadev’s ‘Thimmarusu’ launched in Hyderabad!

‘Thimmarusu’ is the latest project starring Satyadev Kancharana, the talented actor who has delivered solid performances in films like ‘Bluff Master’ and ‘Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya’. Coming with the caption ‘Assignment Vali’, the film’s muhurtham ceremony was held on Sunday in the presence of cinematographer Appu Prabhakar, who gave the first clap. Raja and Vedavyas handed over the script.

Mahesh Koneru of East Coast Productions has joined hands with Srujan Yerabolu of S Originals for the project. Directed by Sharan Koppisetty, the film casts Satyadev in an exciting role. The makers said that the film comes with a distinct concept.

Talking about the movie, the producers said, “Satyadev has played a variety of roles from the beginning and has got a unique image. We are happy to have him on board. ‘Thimmarusu’ presents him in a unique way. As for the film, its concept is novel. The shoot will begin from October 21. The plan is to complete the principal photography in a long schedule.”
