VVR Row: Megastar and Allu Aravind enters the scene

    0

The drift between Boyapati Sreenu and DVV Danayya in Vinaya Vidheya Rama disaster row is taking several turns. Boyapati and Danayya had a heated argument and exchanged vulgar words three days ago which became the hot topic of discussion across Tollywood. With buyers losing Rs 30 crores, Charan wanted Boyapati, Danayya and himself to return Rs 15 crores (Rs 5 crores each) to the buyers and sent Danayya to Boyapati. But the top director is not ready for the proposal. After this, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind entered the scene.

Megastar who went through the entire issue responded in two ways: He pointed Charan for involving in the film’s business. Charan is the person who closed the theatrical business deal and wanted Danayya to sell the AP / TS rights to UV Creations, the close friends of him. Because of this Charan took the responsibility to save the buyers.

Megastar also responded asking Allu Aravind to convince Boyapati to pay back Rs 5 crores from his remuneration. Allu Aravind shares a close bonding with Boyapati and the top director also signed one more project for Allu Aravind after the super success of Sarrainodu. From his remuneration of Rs 15 crores, Allu Aravind will convince Boyapati to repay Rs 5 crores as compensation for the buyers.

We have to wait to see if Boyapati steps down and returns back the amount.

Boyapati Sreenu: The Reason behind the blunder of VVR

    0

No filmmaker works hard and delivers a flop product. Cinema is a collective effort and if one among the team dominates or doesn’t care about the suggestions from his other team members, he will be blamed completely for the result. Things happened completely similar with Vinaya Vidheya Rama which ended up as a disaster. Ram Charan penned an open letter recently and he apologized his fans for falling short of the expectations. He is said to have been shattered with the film’s result at this crucial time in his career.

After the release of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, there are no talks between Charan – Boyapati and Boyapati – Danayya. Ram Charan’s recent letter shattered Boyapati Sreenu as he got completely ignored. The recent ugly spat between Boyapati and Danayya is now open and is discussed all over across Tollywood today. Charan too came to know about this and stood behind Danayya supporting his producer.

Charan and Danayya during the shoot several times opposed some of the episodes but Boyapati seems not bothered about their view. All these episodes have been badly trolled by the audience post release which left Charan and Danayya in anger. Charan even questioned that there is no need to shoot the action stunt in Azerbaijan but Boyapati made his mind to shoot it there. Even while finalizing the film’s cast, Boyapati stood on his decision and did not consider any suggestions of other team members.

This heaped up the film’s budget and Boyapati did not even make changes after watching the final rushes which made Vinaya Vidheya Rama a costly mistake in Telugu cinema. This is the reason why Boyapati Sreenu was left aside and the entire team of Vinaya Vidheya Rama stood against him.

Shocking: Boyapati and Danayya abuse each other on VVR Row

Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama released during Sankranthi and it bombed badly at the box-office. The film’s director Boyapati Sreenu for the first time has been badly trolled and criticized for his work. The film left the buyers in Rs 30 crores losses and the film’s producer DVV Danayya decided to return Rs 15 crores for the buyers recently. Ram Charan promised a share of Rs 5 crores and Danayya approached Boyapati Sreenu to return back Rs 5 crores from his pocketed remuneration to compensate the losses.

But this did not go well with Boyapati Sreenu and soon Danayya busted out. The duo exchanged vulgar words which is now the hot topic across the Filmnagar circles. Both Danayya and Boyapati lost their control abusing each other and their well-wishers who were present in the scene controlled them before they could slap each other. Tollywood producers Dil Raju and NV Prasad soon entered into the scene to bring back things to normal.

Boyapati is not in a mood to return back Rs 5 crores but he is ready to pay back Rs 1-2 crores from his remuneration. The discussions about this are currently on and Dil Raju is said to have taken the responsibility to settle the issue soon.

Ram Charan’s letter: Boyapati Furious ?

    0

Ram Charan after a month stepped out responding about the disaster of Vinaya Vidheya Rama. His emotional letter thanking his fans and everyone for the enormous support proved that Charan is a true gentleman. He has been lauded across the circles of social media by his fans for accepting the result with a brave heart. What’s surprise is that Charan did not mention about the film’s director Boyapati Sreenu. Boyapati is said to be quite angry for Charan’s move for not informing him about this step and ignoring him completely in the letter.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama is the biggest disaster in Boyapati’s career and the film’s result brought a huge gap between Boyapati and Charan. The duo did not meet each other post release and this letter created a huge drift between them. Boyapati is quite furious and expressed his anger before his close aides for Charan ignoring him completely in the released letter. Charan declared Vinaya Vidheya Rama as Boyapati Sreenu’s disaster.

Ram Charan proves that he is a true Gentleman

    0

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan after a non-Baahubali hit like Rangasthalam tested his luck with Vinaya Vidheya Rama which bombed badly at the box-office. The actor for the first time post release responded about the film. He explained about the efforts of the technicians and thanked his fans for the unconditional support.

He also called it unfortunate as the film failed to meet the expectations of the audience. Ram Charan thanked all his distributors, exhibitors who backed Vinaya Vidheya Rama. He had a special mention for his producer DVV Danayya saying that no words are enough to describe about his work and support. Charan proved that he is a true gentleman with the letter thanking everyone.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama is directed by Boyapati Sreenu and produced by DVV Danayya. Charan is busy with SS Rajamouli’s RRR which also features NTR in the other lead role. The film is slated for summer 2020 release.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama Worldwide Closing Collections – Disaster

Vinaya Vidheya Rama Worldwide Closing Collections

Vinaya Vidheya Rama has ended up its run worldwide with a distributor share of 62.60 Cr.

The film is a disaster as it has incurred losses about 30 cr with theatrical rights valued at 92 Cr.

Overall recovery of the film is at 68 percent which will come down to less than 65 percent when we take the worth shares it has collected in hire centres(Big Stations like kurnool, anantapur, chitoor, adoni , produtur, kaavali , mangalagiri , narasaraopeta, venkatagiri). Day One fixed hires are pretty common for biggies but this film was played on full run hires in the above mentioned centres. Actual share of the film in ceeded will be around 9.50 Cr(including small station hires) and the worth share it has collected in those big centres. Nellore area got benefited by around 30 lakhs & guntur area got benefited by around 50 lakhs due to the hires in these big centres. So the worth share of the film including hires in small centres like any other biggie will be little above 59 Cr which means a recovery of less than 65 percent.. Best performed areas for the film are UA, east, west & Nellore while nizam is the worst performed area.

Theatrical rights of the film in Nizam & Ua are valued at 32 Cr and the film has collected 21 Cr from these two areas incurring a huge loss of about 11 Cr. Dil Raju has about 50 percent partnership in these two areas and he will loose around 5.50 Cr.

The film is an outright disaster overseas as it was just able to recover the release costs in usa.

Dear Ramcharan Tej, As a Bihari, why should I not be offended by your latest film?

    7

The latest Ramcharan Teja starrer in Telugu, “Vinaya Vidheya Rama” (VVR), which opened on Pongal all across Andhra Pradesh, is a deeply offensive film on every possible level. It insults the female sex by lewdly objectifying the heroine Kiara Advani.

It also insults the audiences? basic intelligence by taking the most outrageous liberties with time and space. To give an early indication of the film?s topographical tyranny, in one sequence, the film?s super-duper-hero Rama crashes out of an airport?s check-in lounge, jumps on a speeding train-top from Gujarat which takes him to Bihar to save his brother.

Don’t ask how Rama is able to time his furious travel plan with the Bihar train timings. I think it was Dharmendra who first balanced himself on a speeding train roof to avenge the wrongs done to his onscreen family in “Yaadon Ki Baaraat”. If he saw Ramcharan Teja?s loco-motivated homage to that old spirit of dada-giri Dharam Paaji style, Dharmendra would probably regret the day he agreed to travel ticketless.

There are many other absolutely unacceptable leaps of imagination in VVR that boggle the mind and do a great disservice to progressive cinema all across India.

As a Bihari, my biggest grouse against “Vinaya Vidheya Rama” is in the way Bihar and Biharis are shown as scruffy, sleazy, murderous bandits and outlaws. For years, filmmakers and actors in the South have complained about the way Hindi cinema depicts South Indians in a stereotypical ?Lungi Dance? avatar. In fact in the NTR biopic that opened this week, NTR (Balakrishna) is seen haranguing Mrs Indira Gandhi for referring to South Indians as ?Madrasis’.

I wonder what NTR would have to say about Ramcharan Tej’s licentious lies regarding Bihar and Biharis. For one, the film?s main villain, Raja Bhai played by Vivek Oberoi, is shown to be a Bihari running his own army in “Bihar”?or what passes off as Bihar in this madly confounded film which knows neither its history or geography well enough to make the narrative half-way coherent.

Raja Babu is shown to bully the Bihar Chief Minister, Mahesh Manjrekar, into perpetrating the worst havoc imaginable. The tyranny gets acutely unbearable when Raja Babu kidnaps the Election Commissioner and makes him dance in public wearing ghungroos(anklets) on his feet to humiliate him.

I really didn’?t get that one. Why would a dance in ghungroos be such an act of humiliation for a decent man whose nose the villain wants to rub in the ground? There are so many renowned much respected Kathak and Bharat Natyam dancers in India. Kamal Haasan and Birju Maharaja are names that come to mind.

This crass film moves forward on the strength of its own perverse definition of machismo and virility. The hero is shown literally beating up an army of ?Bihari? goons (all armed with guns, machets and other weapons) as the soundtrack emblasons his heroics with sounds that suggest a siren call for absolute anarchy.

My quibble with the film?s crass conflicts are with its ?Bihar? connections. The hinterland is replete with sandscapes and horses and outlaws who look like they are earning extra money by sneaking out of a Ram Gopal Verma action film and is no part of any Bihar that I know.

Why are Biharis considered to be so thick-skinned as to silently accept being portrayed as the worst scum of the earth? Isn?t that the image that chauvinistic political parties in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh favour in order to put migrants from UP and Bihar in place, namely back to their home states? And now, depicting Biharis as lumpen elements is taken to the next level. The hero must travel to Bihar(from Gujarat, on a speeding train upon which he jumps on from above) to rescue his Telugu family from North Indian pseudo-Maoists.

    Dravidian rectitude survives.

Sankranthi winner – The return of Venky!

    0

Just like any other Sankranthi, this year too saw multiple releases in Tollywood, with all of them featuring big stars – Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer NTR Kathanayakudu directed by Krish, Mega Powerstar Ramcharan starrer Vinaya Vidheya Rama, and Victory Venkatesh – Varun Tej starrer F2 Fun and Frustration.

NTR Kathanayakudu marked the return of Balaiya – Krish combo after the hit movie Gautamiputra Satakarni, which succeeded at the box office despite clashing with Khaidi no 150 starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Mega Powerstar Ramcharan had returned onscreen after his non Baahubali industry blockbuster Rangasthalam, teaming with Boyapati Srinu for the first time in Vinaya Vidheya Rama and considering the results of their last outings, both these movies were expected to score big at the box office, appealing to their respective target audience. However, much to the surprise of the film fraternity, dark horse F2 Fun and Frustration has emerged as the Sankranthi winner.

All the movies released with a day’s gap between them, and the fourth release, the dubbed version of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta also opened with lesser screens. Though NTR Kathanayakudu, which is the biopic of the legendary yesteryear Superstar and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister NTR played by NTR’s son Balakrishna himself received positive reviews, the reviews did not translate to revenues. On the other hand, Vinaya Vidheya Rama opened to extremely negative reviews for its cliched making and was subjected to trolls.

In such a scenario, it was advantage F2, though the movie had nothing in its favor – Venky had the last release as a full-fledged hero way back in 2016 with Guru, which wasn’t a commercial success, Varun Tej wasn’t in form either, as his last release Antariksham was a disaster, the lead ladies, Tamannaah and Mehreen hadn’t been a part of hit movies of late as well. The only positive aspect ahead of the release happened to be director Anil Ravipudi, who had delivered a hat-trick of hits, all of them with out of form heroes – Pataas with Kalyan Ram, Supreme with Sai Dharam Tej and Raja the great with Ravi Teja, and yet again has extended his winning streak with F2 Fun and Frustration.

Despite having a wafer-thin plot, F2 has become the Sankranthi winner, thanks to several highlights. Firstly, the return of the family-friendly hero – vintage Venky, as the movie is typically a one-man show of Venky, with his unmatched comic timing, hilarious dialogue delivery, and funny body language, reminding the audience of his Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Malliswari days. Secondly, the glam girls Tamannaah and Mehreen Pirzada brightening the movie with their hot presence, especially with the milky Beauty Tamannaah, surprising audience with her sizzling hot appearance, oozing oomph like never before, and just as the trailer had promised of a glam feast with the bikini acts of girls, Anil Ravipudi packed commercial elements and built an entertaining screenplay, while ensuring that the movie had glamour and humor in right proportions. Irrespective of Varun Tej playing second fiddle and scoring occasionally with his Telangana dialect and Mehreen’s slightly annoying acts, Venky’s terrific humor and Tamannaah’s sizzling glamour ensured F2 was a winner.

On the other end, the downfall of NTR Kathanayakudu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama too hugely helped F2 greatly. NTR’s main issue was that, the makers let out almost every looks of Balakrishna and every vintage classic reference/ getup Balaiya would be sporting in the movie, and that itself reduced the interest on the movie considerably, besides, the screenplay dragging without conflicts and Balaiya’s decision to play young NTR by himself too had a huge impact, affecting the repeat/suggestion value of the movie. The movie missed everything that another biopic released last year, Mahanati had – engaging screenplay and the surprise factors like looks of the central character.etc.Vinaya Vidheya Rama’s case was different, as the movie was literally a mashup of Boyapati Srinu’s crazy ideas in the name of heroism, that completely went wrong, with the train episode, the head chopping and even Kiara’s extremely objectifying entry episode making the movie an instant feast for trolls and negative criticism. Petta on the other end has been running behind Viswasam even in TN box office, while it’s literally nonexistent in AP/TG.

F2 has been having a golden run at the box office both in AP/TG as well as US box office, as it has inched closer to the break-even value of 34 crores as it has already collected 32 crores, and had become Venky’s second million dollar movie at US box office after Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. With F2 achieving unmatched and unexpected success, consistent hitmaker Anil Ravipudi has already announced that there’ll be a sequel to F2, F3 very soon, with the fun-loving husbands Venky and Varun and their controlling partners Tamannaah and Mehreen returning on screen. So until then, book your tickets and go meet the F2 family on screens, rejoice the humor and glamour filled family fun entertainment and enjoy the festival with families!

Ram Charan’s blind belief on Boyapati turned out a costly mistake

    2

Ram Charan after a blockbuster like Rangasthalam tested his luck with a mass entertainer Vinaya Vidheya Rama which released during Sankranthi. The movie ended up as a huge dud and turned a prey for a bunch of trolls. During an interview, Charan revealed that he turned Boyapati Sreenu’s brain child believing him blindly. This turned out to be a costly mistake for the actor.

Speaking during a Sankranthi interview, Charan said “We discussed about the project for over four years. For the first time, the audience witnessed uttering some mass dialogues through my role. I was always contemporary and social in my previous films. I was thrilled and went on Boyapati Sreenu’s conviction for Vinaya Vidheya Rama. I did not use my brain and followed him without suggesting any changes giving him a free hand. It is quite an easy job if the actor gets moulded as per the director’s instructions. I completely surrendered to his kind of making without involving into his work”.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama featured Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Produced by DVV Danayya, the film will end up as one of the biggest debacles of Telugu cinema.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama Drops On Second Day In Telugu States – 2 Days Collections

Vinaya Vidheya Rama has dropped on second day in Telugu States as the film has collected a distributor share of 4.10 Cr. This has taken the two days total to 30 Cr. The collections are decent to an extent considering a new release F2. But these are not at all enough for the rates sold. The film might have similar collections today and tomorrow and then it should take some advantage of festival days starting Tuesday and which ends on Thursday.

Dil Raju to have a balanced Sankranthi

Top producer Dil Raju was betting big every Sankranthi and this time he tested his luck as a producer and a distributor. He produced Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F2: Fun and Frustration which has been declared as Sankranthi blockbuster and is running with packed houses all over. With NTR – Kathanayakudu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama lying low, F2 is expected to get extra boost during this season.

On the other side, Dil Raju invested huge and acquired the theatrical rights of Vinaya Vidheya Rama for Nizam and Vizag territories for a record price. SVC and UV Creations jointly released the mass entertainer which is racing towards a massive disaster. While F2 will be fetching huge profits as producer for Raju, Vinaya Vidheya Rama will leave him behind as distributor. On the whole, Dil Raju will have a balanced Sankranthi with a blockbuster and a debacle.

US B.O : Solid start for F2, pathetic run for VVR and NTR Kathanayakudu

    0

Sankranthi big ticket films NTR Kathanayakudu and VVR are having a pathetic run at the US box office in the first weekend. Meanwhile, F2 – Fun and Frustration, the dark horse of the season which released today, took a solid start there with good number from premiers.

F2 is off to a promising start with $ 250K from Friday premiers. The fun filled trailers and teasers have generated a good buzz in overseas audience and resulted in strong advance bookings. Surprisingly, F2 has surpassed the first day numbers of Ram Charan’s VVR just with its premiers numbers. Venky’s craze among audience and Anil Ravipudi’s decent track record helped the film bigtime. The reviews and mouth talk are encouraging and the film is expected have a solid run in overseas.

Balakrishna’s NTR Kathanayakudu, which started decently with close to half million dollars from premiers, is badly under performing in the first weekend despite good reviews. By the end of today, the total gross stands at $ 707K. The film needs to gross more than $ 2.2M to break even and it looks improbable.

Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama is having a awful run as the total gross is $ 212K by the end of its first day including premiers. Despite scoring a blockbuster with his last film, Charan couldn’t draw decent openings as Boyapati Srinu factor and poor reviews are affecting the film bigtime. Going by its current run, it looks like the film will be one of the biggest disasters in recent times.

Tamil biggie Rajinikanth’s Petta has surpassed the million dollar mark ( Telugu and Tamil) by the end of three days.

Trolls have a field day over Boyapati Srinu

    1

Director Boyapati Srinu is known for manufacturing action episodes which defy physics. They might connect with mass audience to some extent, but quite often he gets trolled by others for his over the top writing skills. On the eve of his latest release Vinaya Vidheya Rama , Boyapati is once being trolled in social media for coming up with senseless scenes.

As soon as the early shows were completed, there were countless trolls on Boyapati Srinu for showcasing some of the outrageous scenes ever in the history of Telugu cinema.

There is a scene when villain Vivek Oberoi subjects a snake bite upon him, the snake dies a minute later. Making it more excruciating for audience, Ram Charan travels hundreds of kilometres on the top of the train in one of the scenes. In another terribly executed episodes, audience get to watch two villains get beheaded and their heads go for a toss only to be snatched away by eagles.

Trolls are having a field day in social media with a volley of mocking punches on Boyapati Srinu. One popular troll read ‘ Paamu manishini kaatu vesinappudu manishi pothe Biology Paamu pothe Boyalogy ‘. There are many more of such jokes that are now trending every where.

US box office : Embarrassing start for Vinaya Vidheya Rama

    2

Despite Boyapati Srinu’s poor track record in overseas, trade circles expected decent openings for Vinaya Vidheya Rama as Charan delivered a non Baahubali hit with Rangasthalam. Shockingly, the action drama is off to a terrible start in overseas with embarrassing Thursday premiers.

As per the latest reports, Vinaya Vidheya Rama grossed just over $ 100K from its premiers and shocked trade circles. The total premiers might end below $ 150K by the end of the day making it the most disappointing start for a big ticket film in recent times. Easy, these numbers are less when compared with the premiers medium range heroes like Nani and Vijay Devarakonda. Recent films like AWE, NOTA, Tholiprema performed better than VVR on premiers day.

Ram Charan created decent base in USA with Dhruva. With Rangasthalam emerging as the biggest blockbuster of all time after Baahubali series, trade circles billed him as a one of the reliable actors in current generation. Unfortunately, Vinaya Vidheya Rama couldn’t benefit much from Rangasthalam success. Boyapati Srinu’s poor form, mass loaded trailers and poor planning seems to have heavily impacted the premiers in overseas.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama Review – Vilaya Vidwamsa Rama !

    vinaya vidheya Rama review

    vinaya vidheya Rama review

    T360 Rating : 2.25

Ram Charan teamed up Boyapati Srinu for the first time in his career. Titled as Vinaya Vidheya Rama, the film is billed as an action drama laced with plenty of family emotions. The trailers and teasers are loaded with mass elements and Ram Charan’s intense avatar has been a talking point among everyone. Let’s see what the movie has in store.

    Story:

Rama Konidela ( Ram Charan ) and his four brothers share a close bond. Bhuvan Kumar (Prashant), elder brother, is an upright IAS officer works in Election Commission. He is tasked with managing a highly contested Visakhapatnam bi-election.

In Vizag , Rama faces off with Pandem Parasuram , a local don, who threatens his brother’s life. In a high voltage action episode, Flashback opens and story shifts to Bihar where antagonist Raja Bhai ( Vivek Oberoi ) world is introduced

Rest of the story is about how Rama Confronts with mighty Raja Bhai in flashback & in present…

    Performances:

Ram Charan, who has rediscovered himself as an actor in Rangasthalam doesn’t get a chance to showcase his repertoire of skills. However, Ram Charan brings life to the mediocre music of Devi Sri Prasad in songs. He dances gracefully. Kiara Advani is bright star of the movie. She is going to go a long way in Tollywood. Prashant and Sneha get meaty roles. Vivek Oberai and Mukesh Rushi as antagonists do their bit. Senior actor Chalapathi Rao , Hema are Okay !

    Analysis:

All telugu directors have their comfort zone and rarely wield out of it. Sreenu Vaitla has used his ‘comedy template’ to the point it is wildly rejected by audience. Similarly , Boyapati has been using his ‘action template’ – without much story backing. Vinaya Vidheya Rama follows a similar structure.

First half of the film is decent , it runs without much trouble to fans and masses. There are few high moments such as two good songs , and two great heroism elevations episodes to satisfy the fans. There is one Hema comedy episode which worked though. Once the high voltage interval fight is finished , trouble begins.  The whole second half has senseless violence with series of over the top scenes.

Ram Charan enters villains’ locations from nowhere , with loads of ammunition – not once but on many occassions. He gets horses , eye dazzling blasts equipped for him in alien lands which give audience fatigue.  In one of the scenes , he travels on the roof of a highspeed train alas infamous Balakrihsna’s train episode.

There is no justification to the title. In the whole movie, the lead star was anything but ‘Vinaya Vidheya’. Ram Charan was coming off a super successful movie and Boyapati has mightily wasted this opportunity with a shallow story line.

    Positives:

    • Interval Block
    • Saying sorry to Mukhesh Rushi scene
    • Charan dances

    Negatives:

    • Senseless violence/fights. Too many action episodes without any premise
    • DSP music
    • Non existent story line

    Verdict:

‘ Vinaya Vidheya Rama ‘ is a nothing but a medley of action episodes with a very flimsy story line. Given the festive season , the movie might rake in the money in Telugu states to some extent. Overall , it is a huge disappointment coming after super successful ‘Rangasthalam’  !
