KCR dynastic rule will end, says BJP Working President

0

BJP National Working President JP Nadda accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao of continuing his family and dynastic regime in the state without any transparency. In the name of a holy name, KCR is committing massive fraud in Kaleswaram irrigation project. Nadda said that the KCR Regime has enhanced the project cost from Rs. 30,000 crore to Rs. 80,000 crore.

BJP has been asserting that KCR has pushed a surplus state like Telangana into deep debts. After the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation, Telangana got the highest revenue source of Hyderabad capital city. Moreover, all the huge assets developed over decades in united AP are located within Hyderabad.

BJP says that KCR has been the CM ever since Telangana got separate statehood along with Hyderabad city but he has destroyed the state’s economy like never before. The so-called Mission Kakatiya irrigation programme has become a TRS Mission for Commissions all over the state. KCR has asked for Central funds for Mission Kakatiya but the Modi government has ignored this. Now, the BJP has called it a programme to benefit TRS leaders.

Telangana announces action plan to transform villages

0

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday announced a 60-day special action plan to transform villages and towns with special emphasis on cleanliness and greenery.

The action plan is aimed at introducing the new approach and implementation of the new Panchayat Raj Act and Municipality Act.

Addressing the 73rd Independence Day celebrations at the historic Golconda Fort here, he said the government would release funds from the Finance Commission grants to the local bodies before the commencement of the programme.

Under the first phase of the programme, sanitation in the villages and towns will be improved with the participation of people. Stating that unhygienic conditions are the root cause for the ill health, he said in this 60-day programme, officials and the public representatives with public participation should change the topography of villages and towns.

The Chief Minister said that civil society organisations with the participation of people should work towards totally clearing the garbage.

KCR, as Rao is popularly known, also announced that the electricity department will observe ‘Power Week’ with the participation of the people to replace rusted poles and attend to hanging wires.

“Every village and town should set up the sapling nurseries based on their need with the help of the local bodies and 10 per cent of the village and town budget should be allocated for the growth of greenery. Six saplings will be provided to every house in the villages and towns based on the request made,” the Chief Minister said.

He exuded confidence that the dream of ‘Bangaru’ (golden) Telangana will be realized ‘very soon’ through moral and committed governance.

He said that Telangana today stood before the country as proud and model state and the foundations needed for the construction of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ have been laid strongly.

KCR, whose Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) retained power in December 2018, after achieving Telangana state through a great moment, they were carrying out the reconstruction with utmost devotion like performing of a ‘Yagnaa’.

He claimed that Telangana’s wealth, which was about 4 lakh crore at the time of the state’s formation is now worth Rs 8.66 lakh crore.

KCR said in 2018-19 Telangana figured among the top states in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) with 14.84 per cent growth rate.

He said the government was doing away with the old and obsolete Acts and bringing in the new Acts in tune with the contemporary social reality in the society. A new Revenue Act will be tabled in the budget session of the Assembly to offer hassle-free services to people and farmers.

KCR said that the government doubled the amount of ‘Asara’ pensions as promised during the elections. “We are giving Rs 3,016 per month to the differently-abled persons and Rs 2,016 to others. We have decided to reduce the eligibility age limit for the old-age pension from 65 to 57 years.”

As per the promise made during the elections, the agriculture financial assistance is given under ‘Rythu Bandhua’ enhanced from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per acre per year.

KCR said that projects on Krishna and Godavari rivers were being completed on a fast track. He noted Kaleshwaram project, a man-made wonder caught the attention of the whole world and was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh recently.

KCR said in June 2020, farmers in the state will get an opportunity to get an additional 575 TMC (thousand million cubic feet) of water.

Opinion – KCR behaving like Acting CM for Andhra?

0

Unfortunately for Andhras, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has become their spokesperson nowadays. He is the one who led anti-Andhra agitation and caused separation of Andhra without a capital city. Now, KCR is talking about how to work for the golden future of Andhra Pradesh. He is saying that he will guide Jagan like an elder brother. Together, they will open a new chapter. Will he really give good and sane advice to Jagan for betterment of AP?

Whenever KCR talks about Andhra these days, he is raising diversion of Godavarai waters to Srisailam dam through Telangana soil. KCR is explaining that all this is for a better future for Rayalaseema region. He says that he knows how many problems Rayalaseema farmers are facing because of lack of water. KCR says that together with Jagan, he will turn Rayalaseema into Ratanalaseema (a place of jewels).

Analysts say that KCR is a shrewd manipulator who is bent on taking advantage out of political crisis, caste divisions and regional imbalances in Andhra. He succeeded in respect of his Telangana agitation. Now, KCR is bent upon diverting Andhras’ attention from their immediate tasks of building a Capital City and completing Polavaram lifeline project. Instead, TRS boss is misleading YCP and Rayalaseema into believing that diversion of Godavari waters is the only solution. But Polavaram project is also of similar use to divert Godavari waters for use in Coastal areas while more waters could be stored and diverted from Srisailam to Rayalaseema.

KCR flies over Godavari, visits Kaleshwaram project

0

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday had an aerial view of Godavari river and visited Kaleshwaram project.

He flew in a helicopter over the river and visited various places along its 140 km course from Medigadda to Dharmapuri.

KCR, as Rao is popularly known, inspected the river which came alive following incessant rains over last one week and huge inflows from upstream.

The Chief Minister along with some top officials boarded a helicopter in Hyderabad and reached Medigadda Barrage. Amidst the drizzle, he worshipped Godavari river and inspected the water stored in the barrage and other works.

KCR later left for Golivada Pump House. After visiting various places, he will reach holy temple town Dharmapuri.

Telangana Chief Minister along with his Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh counterparts inaugurated Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) in June.

KCR’s visit on Tuesday came amid the efforts by the irrigation department to bring on line various components of the mega project.

Billed as the world’s largest lift irrigation project, it is designed to irrigate 45 lakh acres for two crops in a year, meet the drinking water requirements of 70 per cent of the state and also cater to the industry’s needs.

Telugu CMs cross limits in Swamijis appeasement

The impact of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s style is enormous in Telugu states. His latest contribution is the increasing demand for the Swamijis in both the states. KCR’s patronage has given lot of publicity for Sarada Peetham Swaroopananda Swami. KCR made even Andhra CM Jaganmohan Reddy to give high priority to Swaroopananda whose stature rose by leaps and bounds in Telugu states in the past five years.

KCR’s undue promotion of Sarada Peetham has angered Tridandi China Jeeyar Swamiji who began airing views against Telangana CM before mutual acquaintances.

Immediately, KCR got to know about this and pacified Jeeyar Swamiji by asking him to conduct Maha Sudarsana Yagam soon. This has resolved the differences for now.
Analysts draw comparisons with past CMs and how they maintained safe distance from Swamijis. NTR himself wore Saffron robes calling himself a Sanyasi but he never crossed limits in relations with the Peethams and Swamijis. Chandrababu Naidu used to promote meditation gurus like Inner Engineering Guru Jaggi Vasudev and Art of Living Ravi Shankar.

KCR-Jagan fears over Amit Shah master plans?

0

Andhra Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is meeting Telangana CM Chandrasekhara Rao during his holiday trips to Hyderabad. But the latest meeting was officially described as one to discuss resolution of reorganisation issues. It may not be true as there were no senior officials or IAS officers supporting the two CMs during their meeting. There is a strong possibility that the two CMs would have discussed the emerging political challenges in Telugu States.

Analysts say that this time, the BJP’s expansions plans in Andhra and Telangana came up for discussion between Jagan and KCR. Both the CMs are considering Amit Shah as a tough rival and strategist who should not be taken lightly. Under his leadership, the BJP could establish itself as a strong force in West Bengal despite challenges from Mamata Banerjee and the Left parties there.

As of now, the BJP has won 4 MP seats in Telangana in 2019 general elections which dealt a great shock to KCR. Though TRS boss has taken strong steps to counter BJP afterwards, the saffron party is still gaining strength in different sections including the tribal populations. The BJP is also silently preparing ground to attack the YCP’s political strategies to win elections by taking advantage of Dalit and BC Christian vote banks.

Andhra, Telangana CMs discuss inter-state issues

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy met his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrashekar Rao here on Thursday to discuss the outstanding issues between the two sibling states.

The meeting assumed significance in view of the upcoming meeting of the two states convened by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on August 8 to resolve contentious issues.

The two Chief Ministers were also understood to have discussed the progress made on the decisions taken during their first meeting on June 28.

The issue of diversion of Godavari river water to Krishna river is believed to have figured prominently during the discussion.

The June 28 meeting, first full-fledged talks between the two states since Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed charge, had decided to amicably resolve all their water sharing disputes. It was also decided to divert water from Godavari river to Krishna river to tide over the water scarcity in parts of both the Telugu states.

Jagan Reddy and Chandrashekar Rao reviewed the progress on the issue with the engineers’ panels constituted by both the states submitting their proposals.

The upcoming August 8 meting is the first convened by the Centre after Jagan Reddy assumed charge in Andhra Pradesh.

Before meeting Chandrashekar Rao, Jagan Reddy also called on Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.

As Governor of both the states, Narasimhan had played the role of a facilitator in the talks during last five years.

The Centre recently appointed a full-time Governor for Andhra Pradesh.

Another Maha Yagam by KCR for Telangana wellness

0

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is returning to his spiritual path once again. This time, he is all set to take up a Maha Sudarshana Yagam at Yadadri. Accompanied by My Home Chairman Jupally Rameswara Rao, KCR visited and held talks with Vyshnava Peethadhipathi China Jeeyar Swamiji. In the past, KCR had hit national headlines by conducting the Chandi Yagam in a very grand manner.

Once again, KCR is inviting President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Union Ministers, BJP top leaders from Delhi and also Governors, Chief Ministers and Ministers from all other states in the country. The Maha Sudarsana Yagam is going to be held in a majestic way with over 1048 Yagnagundams in an 100-acre area. Over 3,000 Ritwiks and 3,000 priests will be taking part in the yagam.

KCR is always in the forefront of conducting the Yagams in a very large scale despite criticism from the rivals. In the last elections, Prime Minister Modi hit hard at KCR for trusting astrologers and ‘Nimbu, Mirchi’ rather than his own strength but TRS boss hit back asking how does it concern the BJP. KCR’s strategy will be to retain his party hold on a large chunk of Hindu vote bank on which BJP is setting its sights.

Secret efforts still on to hand over Bandar port?

The Jaganmohan Reddy government has issued GO No. RT-62 on June 28, 2019, to hand over the Bandar port in Krishna district to the Telangana government. This was issued as a confidential, secret GO but later cancelled following a controversy. Jagan Circar reportedly took a U-Turn considering its serious impact on his party. But there are fresh allegations that secret efforts are still going on to hand over this port. With this, yet another Andhra asset is being given in a golden platter to KCR Circar. Already, the Andhra assets in Hyderabad are handed over.

It is a fact that KCR celebrated the victory of Jagan in AP election. At that time, there were reports that KCR was planning to get a dry port developed in Telangana soil. For its operation, Telangana should have a real port nearer to its soil. The worst fears of Andhra people are coming true that Jagan Circar is doing everything possible to benefit KCR and his TRS party interests.

In fact, the immediate natural asset of Andhra is its long coastline. There is a possibility to develop a lot of ports in addition to the existing ports at Vizag, Kakinada, Krishnapatnam, etc. Ports are indeed a great advantage that Andhra has over Telangana. In the name of agitation, KCR defamed Andhras but now he is craving for an Andhra port. Jagan Circar is playing with the sentiments of Andhras in every way possible.

Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu says that Jagan Circar is even telling lies on the GO RT-62 though it was released over a month ago in a very secretive affair. When it was raised in the Assembly, the government said that there was no such move to hand over the port.

KCR overjoyed over growing real estate in Hyderabad

In the last two months, the prices of lands and apartment complexes in Hyderabad have begun increasing at a steady pace. There are no strong reasons for this trend from within Telangana state. No new great projects and no addition of infrastructure facilities like roads. The KCR government is elated over the sudden bonanza in real estate values overall in and around Hyderabad Capital City.

CM KCR has told his senior officials that there will be no need for major financial difficulties as the revenue from real estate registrations in Hyderabad will increase by another Rs. 10,000 crore in the near future. Already, there are higher number of property transactions. This is despite abnormal hike in values.

Analysts say that the one single reason for KCR’s jubilation is the downfall of Amaravati Capital City which has caused richer and middle class sections to look towards mostly Hyderabad. As construction works are stopped in AP Capital, most of the outsourced employees and workers have made a beeline to Hyderabad where they previously worked. Andhras’ reverse migration has already started to Hyderabad and this will only pick up speed in the coming months. The prevailing sentiment is that there are no more chances for big loans from global banks to begin huge projects in AP. There will be no job opportunities eventually.

Telangana High Court questions need for new Assembly building

0

The KCR government is facing a tough time defending its proposed project to construct a new Assembly complex. The Telangana High Court asked the government whether there’s a need to construct new buildings as the old buildings have all the facilities right now. The court is hearing arguments in public interest litigation which pleaded for the protection of historical structures in Erramanjil prime locality.

The High Court also found fault with the government for going ahead with the demolition of the historic buildings without showing proof of the permission taken from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority. The court asked why is it that the government is not able to specifically say whether it has got permission from the required authorities to demolish historic structures.

Many hurdles are being put since the KCR government began making efforts to move the Assembly from its location to some other place where more space is available for constructing modern buildings with the latest facilities. All Opposition parties are criticising the government move in this regard.

Telangana doubles social security pension

0

The Telangana government on Wednesday decided to hike monthly pension for various categories of beneficiaries from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2016.

The decision was taken at the state cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

The meeting, which ended Wednesday night, took the decision on increasing the pension to implement the poll promise of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

It is decided to increase the pension from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,016 to old age people, widows, toddy workers, handloom workers, single women, filaria- affected persons and people with AIDS.

The pension for the differently-abled and aged artistes has been increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,016 and this will be implemented from June.

The hike in pension would cost the state exchequer Rs 12,000 crore per year. The state government will bear Rs 11,800 crores while the Centre will spend Rs 200 crore.

The documents relating to increased pension amounts will be distributed among beneficiaries in all Assembly constituencies from July 20. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Zilla Parishad chairpersons will participate in the programme.

The cabinet has also decided to reduce the old-age pension scheme eligibility age from 65 to 57 years in tune with the promise made in TRS election manifesto. The cabinet has instructed the officials concerned to prepare the list of persons of 57 years of age.

The cabinet gave approval to the draft of the new Municipal Bill. The CM will introduce the draft bill in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Both the Houses will debate and pass the bill.

Telangana High Court questions demolitions

0

Problems continue for CM K Chandrasekhara Rao’s move to construct new Assembly building in place of Erramanjil historic buildings. Now, the Telangana High Court questioned the KCR government based on which law it is going to demolish the historic monuments. Some petitioners argued before the court that Erramanjil are in the list of heritage structures which should not be allowed to be demolished by the government.

The government is arguing that the structures are not historical buildings and they have been removed from the list of heritage monuments already. The demolitions are being taken up to construct new buildings for Assembly in this location. The present Assembly buildings are not spacious enough to conduct the proceedings of the House.

The petitioners told the court that the government is going to waste lot of public money on the new Assembly buildings though there is no immediate need for the same. These works will be taken up if the demolition of historic buildings are allowed now. These buildings were built during the time of Nizams and they should be protected for future generations.

Telangana HC stays demolition of Secretariat, Errum Manzil

0

The Telangana High Court on Monday directed the state government not to demolish the existing Secretariat buildings and the Errum Manzil in order to construct a new Secretariat and Assembly till further orders.

Hearing a batch of petitions against the state government’s plans to construct new Secretariat complex by demolishing the existing the structures and build new Assembly building by razing heritage building Errum Manzil, the court asked the government not to take any further action till further orders.

The government had sought 15 days time to file its counter affidavit to the petitions. However, with the court directing it not to take up demolition till further orders, the government conveyed that it will file the counter later in the day.

The opposition parties and various non-political groups have opposed the government’s plans, calling it waste of public money.

Descendants of Nawab Fakrul Mulk, a noble of erstwhile Hyderabad State, have also opposed the plans to demolish Errum Manzil, a family palace built by him about 150 years ago.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on June 27 laid the foundation stone for both the buildings.

While the new Secretariat complex will be built at a cost of Rs 400 crore by demolishing existing structures near Hussain Sagar lake, the Assembly building will be constructed by razing Errum Manzil, which currently houses office of Roads and Buildings Department. Assembly building will be constructed at a cost Rs 100 crore.

Opposing the government plans, the opposition parties said this would waste the public money as the existing buildings are stable and continue to serve the purpose.

KCR shut 4,000 government schools: Congress

0

The Congress on Monday said the K. Chandrashekar Rao government in Telangana has shut down 4,000 state-run schools while 2,000 schools were to face closure.

Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted: “The KCR government shut down 4,000 schools in the last tenure and another 2,000 schools face closure. Dismantling is the word for KCR – from Secretariat buildings to Public Education!,”

Sharing a media report claiming that around 2,000 schools in the state were at closure due to low enrollment, Surjewala termed it as “KCR’s latest body blow to Telengana’s public education”.

KCR Federal Front funds to anti-BJP regional parties?

0

The Modi-Shah duo have chosen KCR and his son KTR as their immediate target in the South India. What are the exact political reasons behind this? Political circles are full of rumours that the BJP has got definite information about how KCR has planned to use his Federal Front to destabilise their party at the national level. Amit Shah has also got information that under the cover of his front, KCR has provided large-scale election funds to anti-BJP leaders in different states including Mamata Banerjee.

During his private talks, Amit Shah told his party colleagues that he was not at all happy with the party’s good show in North Indian states. He said that the BJP’s real strength would be completely achieved only when the party is in power in South Indian states as well. For this, he told his party men about KCR’s secret plans to weaken BJP and asked them to get all information about financial sources of the TRS boss.

The Modi-Shah duo are also using the IT department which has already completed the task of financial sources of industrialists and businessmen who are supporting KCR. Undoubtedly, the BJP feels that KCR is the immediate threat to their plans to strengthen BJP in South India. In the coming days, KCR is expected to face much more political heat just like Chandrababu Naidu prior to the recent election.

Telugu CMs isolated and mum on Union Budget

0

The Modi government at the Centre did not show any partiality between Andhra and Telangana. Both states got no major allocations. This is the first time that Andhra is treated equally on a par with Telangana ever since the 2014 separate statehood. Everybody expected angry and furious reactions from KCR and Jaganmohan Reddy. But for obvious reasons, they fell silent. Both CMs are apparently shocked at the lack of any additional support to their prestigious irrigation projects like Kaleswaram in Telangana and Polavaram in AP.

Political observers say that the Federal Front partners have no other option except to remain silent. They have seen what would happen if they embarrass PM Modi any further. KCR once used his secret friendship with BJP to finish off the Congress but now the Modi-Shah duo turned the heat on his own TRS party. Jagan has his own personal reasons not to question Modi openly. Both CMs got huge victories but they are now totally isolated and are under threat from BJP’s changed political manoeuvres. This is amply clear from the BJP’s new focus on budget allocations.

All-round attack on KCR on tribals and suicides

0

It seems that all the troubles are knocking at the doors of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. He enjoyed and celebrated the victory of his partner Jaganmohan Reddy for over a month but things changed overnight for bad. He is not able to show his face to PM Modi. His party financier Rameswara Rao is under IT scanner. Now, enough time is being given to anti-KCR MPs to highlight burning issues and KCR failures in the Lok Sabha. The TRS MPs had objected to this in front of Lok Sabha Speaker who expressed his inability to help them as MPs have the freedom to pick up their issues.

First, BJP Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar raised the issue of 27 intermediate students’ suicides sheerly because of the KCR government’s failure. Sanjay said that these students ended their lives as the Globarina company specially brought in by the Telangana government committed grievous mistakes. Congress MP Revanth Reddy also raised the tribals lands issue. The ruling TRS leaders are attacking and injuring forest department officials over Podu lands. Revanth said that this was because the TRS lost in the Godavari river nearby areas. He sought action against the TRS by the Central Government agencies.
