Buzz: Sita Ramam beauty to romance Nani?
Natural Star Nani is all set to announce his next project on the eve of New Year. The actor signed a romantic entertainer in the direction of a debutant. Cherukuri Mohan who was once a partner of Mythri Movie Makers floated his own banner and is making his debut as a producer with this film with Vyra Entertainments banner. The shooting formalities of the film will start early next year and an official announcement about the film will be made on January 1st. Mrunal Thakur says she can’t ask for better South Indian debut than ‘Sita Ramam’
Ahead of its Hindi version release, the trailer of the Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandana-starrer South Indian blockbuster �Sita Ramam was released on Thursday. Helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the period romance showcases the fact that humanity matters more than war, boundaries and religion.
Mrunal, who made her Telugu debut with the film, commented saying, “I could not have asked for a better debut in any of the Southern movies. The love that I have been getting is incredible.”
She added, “And above all, it is a beautiful and a sweet story and I am glad that with the movie being dubbed in Hindi it is going to reach more people. As an actor, I am almost getting the best of both worlds.”
The period romantic drama, was released on August 5 in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and has been going strong at the box-office. Presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios & Swapna, the movie is set to release in Hindi on September 2 in cinemas.

Mall of India Chicago was filled with fans and movie lovers who gathered for a glimpse of their favorite actress Mrunal Thakur, the multi-talented actress who has worked in Marathi, Hindi and Telugu movies, in addition to a number of web series and music albums. The venue was packed and was beaming with excitement of film enthusiasts to meet Mrunal Thakur and to get a chance to interact with her. Thakur started her acting career in TV with Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan and Kumkum Bhagya and then, moved onto the big screen with Marathi film Vitti Dandu. She started her career in Hindi movies with Love Sonia followed by the blockbuster films like Super 30 and Batla House.
The event celebrated the success of the movie, Sita Ramam which stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur (in her Telugu debut), Rashmika Mandanna and Sumanth.
The excitement at the Mall of India was especially palpable since Thakur had made her Telugu film debut with Sita Ramam. The event was organized by Mall of India Chicago to celebrate the success of the movie and its amazing lineup of actors which stars Mrunal Thakur as Sita Laksmi and Dilquer Salman. Story:
Set In 1965, Lieutenant Ram (Dulquer ) work for Indian Army grabs national attention for his fearless act in Kashmir Valley. He receives hundreds of appreciation letters weekly, one of those letters comes from an anonymous lady who claims as his wife Ms. Sita Mahalakshmi (Mrunal Thakur). Ram reaches Hyderabad to meet her and love blossoms between the made for each other pair. Meanwhile, due to his army work Ram and Vishnu ( Sumanth ) are deployed to a secret mission in Pakistan. What happens in Pakistan, why Afreen ( Rashmika ) carries a letter to Hyderabad after twenty years ? are the questions answered on big screen
Analysis:
‘Sita Ramam’ story has many layers in it. Primarily it is a love story with patriotic backdrop similar to the classic film Roja. Movie takes off as a routine cross border terrorism film, gets thicker as a love story. A shaky start in establishing the theme stabilizes with time. The quality of authentic Telugu dialogues,good lyrics start impressing the audience as the middle of first half approaches. Production quality is on par with top heroes’films or even better. Vennela Kishore comedy track works to an extent. Interval comes with a simple twist. Songs blend well with the story flow are picturized well. Afreen ( Rashmika ) character writing underlines the script writer’s skill.
In Second half emotions work well especially pre climax and climax scenes are well written. The scene right before Ram leaves to Pakistan assignment is well conceived by the director. Casting is a big plus in ‘ Sita Ramam ’. Even a single scene character is played by a prominent actor. Vyjayanti Movies and Swapna Cinemas who produced national award winning classic ‘ Mahanati ‘ , spent lavishly on ‘Sita Ramam’. The sets are lavish, the locations are authentic and production design is overall lavish.
Dulquer is T fit as Lieutenant Ram , his expressive eyes helped in poetic scenes. Mrunal Thakur as Sitamahalakshmi is superb. Her looks and performance will fetch many more Telugu films down the line. Rashmika as Afreen , Tarun Bhasker as Balaji , Sachin Khedekar as Major Tariq , Vennala Kishore as Durjaya Sharma, Murali Sharma , Prakash Raj, Bhumika , Gautam Vasudev Menon and others play the rest of the roles Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music is soothing and so is his background score. Irfan Rashid’s artwork and Sheetal’s costumes are of Bollywood quality.

Verdict:
‘Sita Ramam’ is a well-made film with poetic visuals, songs, background score and mainly with a good story. Heroine Mrunal is beautiful, her chemistry with Dulquer works bigtime. First half an hour of the film is mediocre; the graph goes north as it progresses. Vyjayanti Movies and Swapna cinemas must be appreciated for making this film on large scale. Director Hanu finally delivers a success.

Mrunal Thakur got extensive language training for Telugu debut in ‘Sita Ramam’
Actress Mrunal Thakur, who is all set for her Telugu debut, reveals that she underwent two months of intensive Telugu language training in order to perfect her on-screen pronunciation for the role in ‘Sita Ramam.’
Hanu Raghavapudi, Mrunal’s official south Indian debut director, has helmed the film starring Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan.
Mrunal had private language instruction from Suvarna Majji, who sometimes instructed Mrunal in person at her Mumbai home and other times via phone and video calls. Mrunal underwent training for a month, putting in two hours a day to perfect her Telugu pronunciation and grammar for ‘Sita Ramam’.
As she elaborates on her role in ‘Sita Ramam, Mrunal said: “I have always been attracted by the interior of India. The characters who emerge from these settings are likeable, captivating, complex, and most importantly, very real. I love a challenge, so the fact that people are praising how I shaped up as Sita in the movie (based on their reactions to the trailer and songs) is a tremendous complement for me.”
“I took it upon myself to make sure that my diction in the movie was spot-on. I usually try to put myself in the shoes of my characters, so I went through diction training once more for Sita Ramam”, the ‘Super 30’ actress explained.
Mrunal Thakur will next be featured in ‘Gumrah’ with Aditya Roy Kapoor and ‘Pippa’ opposite Ishaan Khattar, in addition to ‘Sita Ramam’.
Singer S P B Charan: ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ from ‘Sita Ramam’ is a timeless beautiful song
Singer S P B Charan, who has lent his vocal prowess for the number ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ from the film ‘Sita Ramam’, has shared his insights on choosing to sing the song and croon for Dulquer Salman.
‘Sita Ramam’ stars Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna. The song ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ is composed by Vishal Chandrashekar and sung by SPB Charan in Telugu and Tamil.
“While every song is important and very special to me, ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ song is mesmerising, it is a timeless beautiful song, and I am grateful for the opportunity to sing this song for the Tamil and Telugu version.”
“When I listened to the final product, I thought this song is going to be a big hit.”
Charan continues: “When you’re going to sing a song, you want to give it your all, I had a strong feeling when I first heard the song that this will be loved by all. But I didn’t expect it to be such a tremendous hit, and the song as a whole is really beautiful.
When asked about the lyrics of ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ song, Charan adds: “As a singer I’d want to highlight the song’s overall programming, the atmosphere, feel of the melody, and the way the string section comes into place, and once again, Kudos to Vishal Bro for this incredible work.”
When it came to performing a song for Dulquer Salman, Charan says, “Once I realised that Dulquer Salman was the main lead in this film, I was hoping that this movie will be done in Tamil as well, and I would get an opportunity to sing in Tamil and Telugu. I’m happy that I did both. I wish I had sung the Malayalam version too.”
“For Dulquer Salman, this is my first song. His talent is something I admire greatly. I’m grateful to be able to sing a song for yet another great performer, and I hope Dulquer enjoyed it as much as I did.”
