‘RRR’ director S.S. Rajamouli has contended that actor Ram Charan’s next movie with ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar will be a blockbuster.

Rajamouli spilled the beans on Ram Charan’s upcoming movie under Sukumar’s direction.

The excited ‘Baahubali’ director said, “Sukku had narrated the opening sequence of Ram Charan’s movie under his direction. As far as I know, this particular scene will be a blockbuster. If I reveal more than this, Sukumar will get an attack! So, all I can say is, it will be one of the biggest hits”.

After delivering a blockbuster with ‘Rangasthalam’, Ram Charan and Sukumar are set to collaborate again for a pan-India project. It is reported that Sukumar has already penned the story for the film.

Sukumar will start the movie after he wraps up the second part of ‘Pushpa’ with Allu Arjun.

Ram Charan is currently working with Tamil filmmaker Shankar Shanmugham for a political drama. Kiara Advani is the female lead and Dil Raju is bankrolling this movie, which is tentatively titled ‘RC16’.

Ram Charan’s other project is to be directed by Surender Reddy. Sukumar’s project will roll after Ram Charan’s current professional commitments.

He opined that the whole terminology of ‘Pan Indian film’ had started with Baahubali. As per Karan Johar, ‘Baahubali-1’ had done 112 crores business, whereas Rajamouli’s previous film ‘Makki’ had done just 1 crore business in Hindi Belt. Karan Johar also opined that every megastar from south or mega director from south cannot repeat this magic all the time or often. “Only Baahubali just had that scale, it had Amar chitra katha quality which helped the film become a runaway hit “he added.

Karan Johar also shared his opinion about current Telugu biggies – RRR and Pushpa. KJ predicts that RRR is going to be opening massively with a 30 crore on First day for Hindi Version alone in India. That is huge, that is pan India he says. They (audience) don’t know NTR in Hindi, they don’t know Ram Charan in Hindi, though they are demigods in Telugu they are not know here in Hindi. Yet, the Rajamouli Brand will be bringing a staggering 30 crores on Day One. “Pan India film” is when all the things fall into place brilliantly just few times, it is not going to be repeated every time Karan says.

Bollywood star Salman Khan has said no one will “dare to release” any new film for the next 4 months after the release of director S.S. Rajamouli’s upcoming epic ‘RRR’.

A lavish pre-release event was organised by the makers of the most-awaited pan-India movie ‘RRR’.

Bollywood celebrities Salman Khan, Karan Johar, along with ‘RRR’ stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Rajamouli, and others who attended the event were seen in a perky mood, as they interacted at the venue.

Salman, who attended the event as the chief guest spoke highly of Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

“I really love Jr NTR’s acting. He is a natural performer,” Salman said, lauding the ‘Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava’ actor.

“I have always seen Ram Charan only with injuries. Each time, when I ask him how he got injured, I am told about his workout sessions, or shooting action sequences, which are the reasons behind those injuries. Such is the hard work he puts in for his projects,” Salman said.

Salman, who shared his expectations on ‘RRR’, conveyed that it is advisable for any Indian film to release at least 4 months post ‘RRR’s release as such is the hype around the film.

“Don’t dare to release any new film for the next 4 months after the release of ‘RRR’,” said Salman, hinting that the box-office run of the film will be spectacular.

‘RRR’ is all set to hit the screens on January 7.

Director S.S. Rajamouli has disclosed that the soul of ‘RRR’, featuring actors Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt in the lead, lies in the flashback episode of actor Ajay Devgn in the film.

Music has been a big asset in all of Rajamouli’s films and music director Keeravani, who has scored the music for ‘RRR’, has a unique style when it comes to scoring music for films.

Like most other music directors, Keeravani does not start with the beginning of the film but watches the entire film and then picks a point that touches his soul to start his re-recording.

When IANS asked Rajamouli as to which point music director Keeravani chose in ‘RRR’ as the soul of this film, director Rajamouli replied, “He saw the entire film and said the flashback episode of Ajay (Devgn) sir is the heart and soul of the film and that is where the story starts and that is where I am going to start my re-recording from.”

“He first made a background score for a 12 to 15-minute sequence and then he started the background score for the rest of the film. But even in that 10-15-minute episode, there was one point — the soul point of that episode, which he was not happy with.

“He said, ‘We can go forward but I have to revisit this place as something is missing here. After struggling for almost two months, one day, he suddenly came up with a song, saying, we will play this song here. He wrote the lyrics himself. That is the ‘Janani’ song. That is why we call it the ‘Soul of RRR’,” the director disclosed.

“He is a very nice and accomodative person,” the director said and added that Samudrakani would wait patiently even if his shots were scheduled late into the nights.

“He is a very down-to-earth person and we were very happy to have him on board,” said Rajamouli.

NTR and Ram Charan are the lead actors in SS Rajamouli’s next directorial RRR. The film is carrying terrific expectations and the trailer is creating waves across the country. NTR, Ram Charan, Rajamouli and Alia Bhatt participated in the promotional activities from the past couple of days. The bonding between NTR and Ram Charan turned out to be the topic of discussion. Even Rajamouli made fun of their relationship during the media interaction today. He said that they wasted close to 25 days on the sets.

He even said that their bonding is the reason for some of the episodes well presented on screen. The leading lady Alia Bhatt said that Charan and NTR had hour-long discussions on the sets and she was ignored completely when she sat between them. Ram Charan and NTR showed their bonding with mutual appreciation. NTR said that he and Charan were friends from years and they bonded more on the sets of RRR. During the pandemic break, the duo spent time together. RRR is hitting the screens on January 7th across the globe in a record number of screens.
