Ram Charan explains the importance of big-ticket releases for film industry

0

Telugu superstar and producer Ram Charan, whose upcoming release ‘RRR’ has been postponed till further notice, states that big releases play a vital role in regulating the economy of the film industry.

The big-budget films not only generate employment but also make sure that people working at the lower rung of the crew get paid well.

The actor recently spoke with IANS over the importance of star value for a film, the need for big-ticket releases, and the evolution of his working equation with filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli from ‘Magadheera’ to ‘RRR’.

Elaborating on the hardwiring of star value with a film, the actor said, “The aspect of star value is only to bring the masses to the theatres. Post that the story takes over and the story has the responsibility to talk and make the audience sit in the theatre.”

Laying down the framework of commercial potboilers vis a vis the film industry, the producer opines, “Every film has its own role to play the business part of the entire industry but these (big releases) are the films that bring glory back to the theatres. Not differentiating between the OTT films or theatre films but on the whole all these (spectacle) films have their own part to play. Their numbers and their economy are integral to not just the industry but also to the government in the form of taxes.”

Ask him how his working with Rajamouli has changed over the years, and he quips, “As actors we evolve with every year, there has been a sea change especially since the last decade. S.S. Rajamouli has evolved multifold and just to work with such a person, who knows what he exactly wants from us, is a pleasure.”

A filmmaker with clarity of thought at the helm is a blessing for any artiste working on a film set, “Our job gets so much easier when we are working with someone, who is so sure about what he’s making. He has evolved so much, I am really blessed to work with him.”

Although the third wave played spoilsport for the film’s release, he is hopeful that normalcy would soon return and the audience while relieving the stress would also appreciate the efforts into putting this film together, “What I am really looking forward to from this movie apart from it becoming a huge hit is that people appreciate the hard work of the entire team for making a film of this scale.”

“I think it’s been so long that I have been in a theatre enjoying popcorn. Films like ‘Suryavanshi’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ are those that should bring back the theatre days to glory and provide a holistic experience of movie watching to people”, he concluded.

Ram Charan: I’m a student who is going into a Rajamouli film

0

For Telugu superstar Ram Charan, walking into an S.S. Rajamouli film, is a learning curve where he becomes a student imbibing the creative energy of his director at every instance.

The actor, who has worked with Rajamouli in the 2009 hit ‘Magadheera’ and the upcoming film ‘RRR’, said, “I always say I am not an actor going into a Rajamouli film, I am a student who is going into a Rajamouli film. I am excited to see what I am going to learn in his movie or from him.”

He adds that he went on sets with the sole intention of upping his game as an actor based on his learnings from the Director, “I have gone with a clean slate and have completely unlearned to completely grasp what he brings to us as actors”.

However, he mentions that one should be able to gauge the scale and vision of Rajamouli, only then the process will be fulfilled.

He said, “Scope of work for the new things that he is going to make you see if you open your antennas and wait, there are so many things that I learnt from him which in return is going to help me ‘for us’ in the future.”

‘RRR’ directed by S.S. Rajamouli, which also stars Jr. NTR and Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt was supposed to get released on January 7 but the uptick in Covid cases across the country led to makers pushing its release to a later date.

SS Rajamouli signs for Rs 180 Cr Debts

SS Rajamouli took a long time to carve out RRR and the film is made on a huge budget. The film’s release is pushed several times due to various reasons. All the arrangements are made and the film was planned for January 7th release finally. The Omicron variant spoiled the plans of RRR. The distributors paid huge advances and the deals are closed already. After clearing all the expenses, the makers have Rs 180 crores of finance which is yet to be cleared. The film’s producer DVV Danayya has been bearing the stress of this amount. After the release of RRR is pushed, SS Rajamouli decided to take the stress of the financed amount.

SS Rajamouli is said to have taken the responsibility for the amount and he signed responsibility for the debts. The final debts will be cleared right before the release of RRR and the interests would heap up over these months. DVV Danayya is now relieved and he will wait for the release of RRR. Rajamouli also holds the lion’s share in the profits of RRR. The film has NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris in the lead roles. The film is carrying terrific expectations.

Acharya to release after RRR?

0

With the arrival of the third wave of coronavirus, all the biggies that are slated for January release are pushed. RRR happens to be the most awaited film and the audience are eagerly waiting for the film’s release. Tollywood’s schedule is shattered with the postponement of RRR. This will have an impact on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya. An agreement has been signed that Acharya should release only after the release of RRR. When RRR was in shooting mode, Acharya director Koratala Siva wanted Ram Charan to play the other crucial role in this Chiranjeevi starrer. Rajamouli asked Ram Charan to go ahead with Acharya but he asked the makers to release Acharya only after the release of RRR.

Acharya team was happy with the condition of SS Rajamouli. With RRR release pushed, the release of Acharya too will be pushed. If RRR releases during summer, Acharya will have to release for the next best available date. For RRR, the entire Indian and international markets should reopen to have the best release. Acharya needs Telugu states and the USA market to reopen. But Acharya will have to wait till RRR releases. For now there is no clarity on the release dates of the upcoming biggies.

Jr NTR discusses favourite memory with his fans on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

0

Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and S.S. Rajamouli, who are actively promoting their upcoming epic ‘RRR’, appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

The trio, along with Alia Bhatt shared a great time, entertaining the audience.

Host Kapil Sharma had brought the topic of Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s huge fandom in the Telugu states. In one of those conversations, Jr NTR revealed that one of his movie events was attended by a massive crowd, which he can never forget in his life.

“We had organised an event for one of my movies ‘Andhrawala’. There were more than 8-9 lakh people. Not only that, not even one bad incident happened even with such a huge crowd gathering. This is something that will stay with me forever,” the ‘Student No. 1’ actor said.

Alia Bhatt, on being quizzed about what she had observed about Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s fans, said, “The actors down south, have worked in such great movies, of course. But, their fans love them not just for their work. They own these people like their own family.”

The show witnessed some rib-tickling comedy, as the stars enjoyed their participation on the comedy talk show.

‘RRR’ was supposed to hit the screens on January 7. But the rise of Covid cases and the restrictions has made it impossible for the movie to hit the screens soon.

The next release date for ‘RRR’ is not yet fixed.

RRR Postponement: Mixed Response from Industry

SS Rajamouli carved out one more periodic drama titled RRR. The trailer took the expectations to the next level and the entire nation is eagerly waiting for the release of RRR. With the rise of new coronavirus cases due to the Omicron variant, SS Rajamouli and his team decided to push the release of RRR to a later date. His move is now getting mixed response from the industry bigwigs and insiders. Some of them are always ready to support Rajamouli as he is the one who vanished the boundaries of language and took Telugu cinema to pan-Indian level.

Others argue that Rajamouli should have released RRR in December covering the Christmas and New Year season. Movies like Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Bheemla Nayak are pushed due to RRR’s release. This is not the first time that happened for RRR. Earlier, several filmmakers announced their films and it was Rajamouli who made it to the chart at the last minute. There are talks that RRR will now hit the screens during summer and a series of films are announced in all the Indian languages. After the third wave, it is not easy to predict the situation of Indian cinema and the exhibition industry.

For now, SS Rajamouli and his team are left puzzled about RRR release date. This time, it would not be an easy task for RRR.

RRR Delay: A Huge Dent to the Profits

SS Rajamouli took ample time to carve out his next magnum opus RRR. The film is all set for a grand release on January 7th and then came Omicron variant of coronavirus. Most of the North Indian states are shut which forced the makers to push the release of RRR. The film’s estimated budget is Rs 450 crores. Rajamouli, NTR and Ram Charan spent close to a month in North India and promoted the film on all the platforms and tv channels. The makers are said to have spent Rs 20 crores on the promotions of the film. With the film’s delay, the makers will have to promote the film once again right before the new release.

Rajamouli and his team met the distributors of Andhra Pradesh and finalized 30 percent cut in the theatrical deals because of the low ticket pricing in the state. This would cut down close to Rs 50 crores from the film’s profits. Pen Studios joined hands to release the film in North. The deals will be revised soon after the new release date will be announced. The film cannot release when the restrictions of 50 percent occupancy are implemented. Heaping up interests is one more factor that is worrying the team of RRR. The delay will increase the interests by crores on a monthly basis. Though the deals are closed, the makers are yet to receive the payments.

Rajamouli who is a master in promoting and releasing his film has no idea about the new release date of RRR. Some of them predict that RRR may release for summer and some of the trade analysts say that the Indian cinema will remain shut till August due to the third wave of coronavirus in the country. For now, Rajamouli and his team will have to wait till normalcy returns. The Indian audience too will have to wait for a longer time to witness this visual spectacle on the big screen.

‘RRR’ release postponed, makers promise to bring back glory of cinemas at right time

Considering the rising Covid cases across the country and the tightening of civil restrictions, the makers of Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer ‘RRR’ have decided to postpone the release date of the film till further notice.

Earlier on Saturday, the film’s director S.S. Rajamouli flew down to Mumbai for a meeting with the stakeholders of the film. The outcome of the meeting was shared by DVV Entertainment, the production company which made the announcement with regards to the same on Twitter.

They tweeted, “Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love. #RRRPostponed #RRRMovie”.

The creative shared by the production company read, “Inspite of our relentless efforts, some situations are beyond our control. As many Indian states are closing theatres, we are left with no choice but to ask you to hold on to your excitement. We promised to bring back The Glory of Indian Cinema, and at the right time, WE WILL.”

Enlisting the impact of the move, media and internet research analyst Karan Taurani said, “This will be a big negative for exhibitors as it will also postpone other large Hindi and regional releases slated for January; cash burn for the chains would go up substantially even if cinemas are open without large scale content as it’s a high operating leverage business. It was only large scale content that was driving larger footfalls in the last 3-4 months of operation.”

“We don’t expect a large film to be released at least until March/April basis the normalcy of current situation; we may go back to the same situation of cinemas being asked to shut in some states or reduce occupancy cap, reversal of this takes at least 6-8 weeks in our view, which would be much lower this time around as compared to wave 1 and wave 2, wherein reversals took anywhere between 12-24 weeks,” he added.

Independent film and trade analyst Sumit Kadel says that it’s a good move on the makers’ part. He shares, “It’s a sensible decision from the perspective of the ‘RRR’ makers. Otherwise, it would have badly affected their collections.”

He adds, “The Tamil Nadu government’s recent directive of running cinema halls at 50 per cent occupancy made the makers postpone the film as it is one of the most important markets for Rajamouli films. Both ‘Baahubali 1’ and its sequel did exceptional business in the state. In the coming days more states would come up with restrictions, some will put a cap on the occupancy, some will shut the theatres.”

The state of Andhra Pradesh is also facing issues with regards to ticket pricing. Upset with the state government’s crackdown on rising ticket and refreshment prices, several theatre owners in the state have shut down their establishments saying that the price cap by the government is eating into their profits and impeding the recovery of cinemas.

In addition, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government recently issued a yellow alert asking cinema halls to shut down in the national capital in order to quell the bug. Mumbai too is expected to witness shutting of cinema halls as it registered 5,600 cases on Friday, a number which is likely to go up in the days to come, pushing the hub of financial activities and entertainment into partial or full lockdown.

A number of states are curtailing civil movements to avoid the explosion of the virus into a third wave, a move which will thereby dent the showbiz further.

RRR Postponed to a Later Date

1

This would be a terrible news for film lovers on the New Year’s eve. The most awaited film RRR is now postponed to a later date. Night curfews and restrictions are imposed in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu for now. Some other states are heading for a closure after the widespread of Omicron variant. Hence the makers decided to postpone the release of RRR.

An official word about the postponement is expected today. Rajamouli and his team promoted the film aggressively and the film is expected to open with a bang all over. There are talks that Rajamouli is considering a summer 2022 release for RRR. Ram Charan is all praise for ‘RRR’ director S.S. Rajamouli

0

Actor Ram Charan, who is gearing up for his pan India release ‘RRR’ directed by S.S. Rajamouli, has heaped praises on the films director with whom he had earlier worked in the 2009 Telugu hit, ‘Magadheera’.

Talking about how Rajamouli changed the landscape of Indian cinema, the actor said, “If there is any movie that broke all the barriers for Indian cinema, it is ‘Baahubali’ and it started with Rajamouli making that happen. We are in such a great time with respect to the Indian industry to explore so much more talent across states.”

The actor mentioned that he is eagerly waiting to explore more and work with different filmmakers.

“I am excited to work with many more directors in the future from many other states, and I am excited for them to come and see and explore us as actors,” he said.

He concluded by saying that the current trend has blurred the lines between different film industries in India.

“Today, I can say that there are no more multiple film industries such as Tollywood or Bollywood… There is only one film industry that is the Indian film industry and I am proud to be in such an era and be a part of it,” he said.

What’s onboard for RRR Telugu Promotions?

0

The team of RRR stepped out with a perfect promotional strategy and the team spent ample time on the Hindi promotions. SS Rajamouli, NTR and Ram Charan are quite active with the promotions and soon after Hindi, they promoted the film in the South Indian languages. Rajamouli planned two big events in the Telugu states but the current situations brought enough confusion in the team. The team of RRR is puzzled as getting permissions for the pre-release events is hard. The public gatherings are prohibited considering the recent surge of the Omicron variant in India.

There were speculations that Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna will attend the grand pre-release event of RRR in Hyderabad but this may not happen. There are also speculations that the team of RRR may go ahead with pre-release press conference if the permissions are not granted. The makers are also picking up one more location in Andhra Pradesh for the promotions. For now, there is no clarity of RRR promotional events in the Telugu states. The makers will make the announcements soon. RRR is heading for January 7th 2022 release.

Jr NTR’s public disclosure of his depression draws attention

0

‘RRR’ actor Jr NTR recently openly discussed his depression. Despite being tagged as Tollywood’s top actor, Jr NTR said he too had faced depression.

During the chat, Jr NTR revealed that he was dragged into depression after he failed to come up with hits in his career.

Having entered the movie industry at the age of 18, he was ignorant about how things would work for him, after facing a few failures.

Jr NTR had bagged Rajamouli’s ‘Student No. 1’, which was a super hit at that point in time. Nevertheless, the ‘Janatha Garage’ hero soon suffered a steep fall.

At that time, as mentioned by Jr NTR he was wondering how long he would be able to maintain success since there was an inevitable fall ahead in life.

“I was not unhappy because my movie didn’t work. I was clueless about how my future life would go on.”

“I took my failure a hard way. I stopped working out, and became confused,” Jr NTR said.

In Jr NTR’s words, Rajamouli helped him cope with his difficult situation. He said, “Rajamouli helped me introspect, which made me a better person and a better performer.”

Jr NTR’s fans have appreciated him for publicly disclosing these episodes, which shows that mental health is no longer a taboo subject in Tollywood.

Rajamouli reveals the reason he chose ‘RRR’ title

0

Director S.S. Rajamouli has revealed the reason behind titling his upcoming film ‘RRR’. He will be seen as a special guest along with the film’s stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt, on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

During a conversation, host Kapil Sharma asks Rajamouli to reveal the reason for naming his film ‘RRR’.

Rajamouli shares: “In the beginning, we didn’t know what to put the title as, so we thought we should refer to the project as ‘RRR’ because of – Ram Charan, Rama Rao (Jr NTR) and Rajamouli. We started putting hashtags as RRR and the response of the audience was overwhelming so we kept ‘RRR’ as the title.”

‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ airs on Sony Entertainment Television.

Big Debates on RRR Release

SS Rajamouli is strict on his stand and announced that he would go ahead with January 7th release for RRR. The makers made good profits before release as some of the theatrical deals are closed even before the Covid-19 arrived. But with the Omicron variant making a splash, several markets are shut. Rajamouli is pretty confident that RRR would collect Rs 1000 crores across the North Indian belt alone. Maharashtra and New Delhi contribute to 40 percent of the theatrical market in North and the situation in these states is alarming for now. Several other Indian states will impose restrictions if the cases continue to rise. 83 received exceptional response but the box-office numbers are quite poor which clearly indicates that the scare of coronavirus is back in the nation.

It would be a daring step from Rajamouli and his team to release RRR. The new cases in USA reached an all-time high and several European markets are shut. Overseas happens to be one of the biggest markets for Telugu films and there is no clarity for now about the key international markets. The situation in Andhra Pradesh is pathetic and the AP government made it clear that there would be no special preference for RRR. Considering the hype and the situation, RRR would lose big for sure if released on January 7th.

The makers have been aggressive with the promotions and Rajamouli is not in a mood to change the date for now. Things may change badly in the coming week. For now, RRR is planned for January 7th release. Right from Tollywood to Bollywood, there are big debates going on about RRR release.

Ram Charan’s sensible statement on box-office numbers

0

Ram Charan is making waves both with his words and actions. His conduct and presence in interviews and in public are quite noteworthy.

During an interview with Anupama Chopra for Film Companion, the ‘Mega Power Star’ subtly yet clearly made an impact with his sensible statement about numbers at the box office.

As the conversation dwelled on how numbers on the opening day overshadow the craftsmanship and efforts of the actors and the director, Ram Charan said he is not worried about the validation for the first three days until his producers and distributors are safe by achieving the numbers.
This subtle yet honest statement did speak volumes about how Ram Charan looks out for people who put in money trusting him, by setting aside his own priorities.

“When you spend Rs 500 crore, I don’t mind not being spoken about. The film is going to be in library forever. I don’t mind being spoken about after 7 days. Let’s first cross the number. I hope our producers and distributors are safe. They can talk about us later as well,” Ram Charan said.

RRR Buyers demanding 50 percent cut in AP

0

The makers of RRR are yet to take a call on the release of the film after the current situation changed in the country. Rajamouli decided to go ahead with the release for now and Pen Studios will take the call in a day. The situation in AP is worse after the new ticket pricing GO is issued. Several theatres are raided and are shut for now. The buyers of RRR are not ready to pay the quoted amounts considering the present situation. The makers of RRR agreed for 30 percent cut in the theatrical deals.

But the distributors are demanding a 50 percent cut in the theatrical deals and the discussions are on. Some of the buyers are not ready to stand in the business for the film. The final call on the release and the theatrical deals in AP will be taken soon. RRR is announced for January 7th 2022 release and the film features NTR, Ram Charan in the lead roles. SS Rajamouli is the director and DVV Danayya is the producer.

Jr NTR has the mentality of a child and the personality of a lion: Ram Charan

0

Stating that what he loved the most about his film ‘RRR’ was the fact that he had found a brother in his co-star Jr NTR, actor Ram Charan said ‘Tarak’ had the mentality of a child and the personality of a lion.

Participating in the special pre-release event of ‘RRR’ in Chennai on Monday, Ram Charan started his speech by thanking everybody associated with the film.

He said, “I don’t know if I should call him my guru or headmaster or prinicipal or guide or my director who gave me my first hit in the industry. I thank Rajamouli sir for having made a film with the two of us together. Thank you for giving us an opportunity and for giving me a brother like Jr NTR.”

Stating that there was just a year’s difference between him and Jr NTR, Ramcharan then said that in real life though, Tarak has the mentality of a child and the personality of a lion.

“You have to be a little careful with him,” the young actor said with a laugh and admitted that he thoroughly enjoyed working with Jr NTR, also known as Tarak.

“I am thanking everyone else but I will not thank Tarak because I want to thank God for giving me a brother, a relationship. So, thank you God. If I thank him, I feel this relationship will end here. I want to keep this relationship, this movie. What I really love about this movie is my brotherhood with Tarak, which I am going to take to my grave,” the star said to the tumultous applause of fans who had gathered in large numbers at the auditorium.

Polish cinematographer, the Rajamouli connect, Hindi audiences: ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar tells it all

0

The success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ in Hindi markets has come as a bit of revelation to the movie’s director Sukumar who admits he had cold feet about doing a movie for audiences above the Vindhyas.

After seeing the movie’s performance in the Hindi markets, Sukumar is now mentally prepared to wield the megaphone for more Hindi movies.

Interestingly, it was ace director S.S. Rajamouli of ‘Bahubali’ fame, who helped Sukumar break through his hesitation.

“I felt that audiences may watch south-based movies on satellite channels or YouTube, but I didn’t feel Hindi audiences would come to movie theatres to watch the movie. Then somehow Rajamouli garu came to know and he called me. You have a good package. I know your story. Definitely it will work. Pitch the movie, we’ll see what happens. He said that. Then I said ok,” Sukumar recalls.

Shooting for the movie began in March 2020, but had to be shelved due to the lockdown on account of Covid. The shooting resumed in December, but with almost the entire crew affected by Covid, production again came to a halt and continued in spurts and bursts.

Sukumar feels that the wholesome package of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has given it traction to withstand other big-ticket releases such as ’83’.

“I want to give full entertainment. All the emotions – fun, love, fights, everything. We call it commercial movie because we have to grab all audiences with that. When we write a commercial story, the director should feel like a superhuman. Because if you see Hollywood movies, love story is love story, thriller is thriller, horror is horror. They don’t mix two genres. Here 5-6 genres are mixing and giving an element, it should look like one. So that’s a big exercise when writing a story. So that’s what I think grabbed the audience,” he explains.

For Sukumar, the idea of a two-part movie was never in the works initially. It was only during the editing stage that he decided to go for a second part.

“Around the time we were editing this this movie, ‘Bahubali 2’ and ‘KGF’ were playing. We started our editing in between these movies. There was the pandemic when I started editing. I felt it’s too long and we can’t have the story for such a long duration. By then even the film producers gained confidence after seeing ‘Bahubali 2’ and ‘KGF’. ‘Pushpa’ in two instalments was an afterthought.”

The movie springs another surprise with cinematography executed by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek of Poland. With his regular cinematographer Ratnavelu busy on other projects, Sukumar cast his eye wider, partly because other cinematographers were also busy, and partly because he wanted a new set of eyes to look at the distinctly rural and rustic cinematic canvas he was spreading out for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. But with the two of them not fluent in English, sign language it was between them on sets.

“He’s from Poland. He doesn’t even know English. I don’t speak English. We communicate through sign language. He doesn’t speak English properly, I don’t. Somehow we coordinated and he’s an amazing cinematographer. He doesn’t speak Telugu, when the scene is behind, he doesn’t know length of the scene also. But his grasp is like that. Instinct.”

Shooting for ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ is slated to begin in March this year, Sukumar signed off.

Sivakarthikeyan’s silent gesture to anchor at film event wins hearts

0

Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s silent gesture to an anchor, indicating that he had forgotten to mention two musicians who had participated in a musical performance at the grand pre-release event of ‘RRR’ in Chennai, is winning hearts on the Internet.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan took part in the special pre-release event that was held in Chennai as part of the promotions of director S.S. Rajamouli’s upcoming pan-Indian film ‘RRR’.

When a special performance was put up by a bunch of musicians and children at the event, the show’s anchor mentioned and thanked some musicians and the children for their performance.

Sivakarthikeyan, who was seated next to director Rajamouli and actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the audience, silently indicated through gestures to the anchor that he had forgotten the percussionist who had played an important part in the performance.

The anchor, realising his mistake, then apologised and then turned around to thank the percussionist and the guitarist.

As social media users began sharing a video clip of the actor silently indicating to the anchor about his mistake, Sivakarthikeyan’s thoughtfulness has come in for widespread praise.

The video clip caught the attention of director Arun Vaidyanathan, who too was impressed by the actor’s gesture. He tweeted, “Very nice of Siva Kartikeyan. This needs a big heart and he has one. God bless.”

‘RRR’ team marks New Year with Bollywood biggies at grand event

0

The team of S.S. Rajamouli’s highly anticipated magnum opus ‘RRR’ is engrossed in promoting the movie. Juggling between back-to-back events and interviews, the team held a celebration to mark the New Year on a grand note.

The celebration brought together the biggest stars across India under one roof. Termed as the ‘Glorious Chapter of Indian Cinema’, the commemoration was laced with a star-studded stage. Rajamouli, and ‘RRR’ stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, and others indulged themselves in the jamboree.

The grand gala night, with the presence of Salman Khan as chief guest and hosted by Karan Johar, was attended by a huge crowd with the happy camaraderie on the stage.

“It only feels like yesterday when I met Rajamouli sir at the Hyderabad airport when I expressed my dream of working with him, only to be more than delighted when he told me that he has something that I can work on,” Alia Bhatt said.
