RRR hold good on First Tuesday – 5 days AP/TS Collections

RRR 5 days AP/TS Collections

RRR has a good hold on the first Tuesday as the film has collected a distributor share of 13.55 Cr. 5 days total share of the film now stands at 167.85 Cr. The film has the best hold in the Nizam area with less than 20 percent drop and the remaining areas have seen 20-30 percent drop. The film is a sure profitable venture in the Nizam area but the biggest issue for the film is its prices in AP. The film needs to hold good over the next few days in AP at least and the weekend should be supermassive as almost all screens will play RRR again to meet the demand on Saturday(Ugadi holiday) and Sunday.

NTR pens an emotional note on RRR Success

RRR starring NTR and Ram Charan released on Friday and is a massive success at the Indian box-office. The film is directed by SS Rajamouli and the film had a fantabulous weekend at the box-office. The Monday numbers are super strong and the film is declared as a blockbuster. NTR penned an emotional note thanking the key technicians, actors, fans, Indian media and others for making RRR a memorable film.

“All of you heaped praises on RRR and showered us with love since the film’s release. I would love to take a moment to thank everyone who made RRR a landmark film in my career possible. Thank you Jakkanna for inspiring me to give my best. You truly brought out the best in me and made me feel like water, versatile. RRR 4 days AP/TS Collections

RRR has an excellent first Monday in the Telugu States as the film has collected a distributor share of 17.50 Cr. The collections on the first Monday are 55 percent of the first Sunday which is an extraordinary hold. The total distributor share of the film now stands at 154.30 Cr. Tickets rates for the film have come down in the Nizam area and a few other centres in A.P compared to Sunday. The film still has a long way to the breakeven and needs to do very good business till the end of the second Sunday. Nizam area has the best recovery rate till now.

RRR has been exceptional in its first weekend in all the languages and in all the territories of its release. Everyone is left surprised as Bollywood is tight-lipped and never responded about this periodic epic. Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is the first one to respond about the film. Young Tiger NTR hosted a lavish birthday party in his residence last night on the occasion of Ram Charan’s birthday. SS Rajamouli, SS Karthikeya and the families of Ram Charan, NTR celebrated the occasion. A small video is now viral across the internet from the birthday celebrations. Ram Charan, NTR and Rajamouli are spotted celebrating with joy after the cake cutting. The trio hugged each other and danced for Naatu Naatu song from RRR.

Ram Charan and Tarak thanked SS Rajamouli for the memorable film RRR. NTR’s wife Pranathi too celebrated her birthday. Ram Charan lauded NTR for making his birthdays memorable on March 27th every year which also happens to be his wife’s Pranathi’s birthday. The celebrations went on till midnight. Tollywood showered wishes on Charan on the occasion. RRR is running with packed houses and is expected to have the biggest ever weekend for any Indian film in the recent times.

RRR sets new Benchmark for the second day – 2 days AP/TS Collections

RRR has set a new Benchmark in the Telugu States for the second consecutive day as the film has collected a distributor share of 31.50 Cr. The film has broken existing record of Baahubali2 by a double margin. Previously baahubali2 has collected 14.90 cr share and RRR has collected more than double of it. Two days total of the film now stands at 104 Cr. Even on the opening day only six films have collected 30 Cr share including RRR and the film has repeated it on the second day. The film is doing outstanding business in A centres and very good in B,C centres though they could be a little better. Ticket rates are impacting the footfalls in B,C centres which should definitely come down from tomorrow ie, Monday atleast.

Ram Charan, who essayed the ruthless cop Alluri Sitarama Raju in S.S. Rajamouli’s latest magnum opus ‘RRR’, thanked his fans on the occasion of his birthday on Sunday.

The ‘Magadheera’ actor, who seems to be overwhelmed with the kind of response he has been receiving ever since the movie released, penned a short, yet sweet note.

“Thank you for the immense love and admiration for Rajamouli Garu’s RRR. My warmest thanks to each everyone who has watched the film in theatres with great enthusiasm.” Ram Charan wrote.

RRR is gearing up for a grand release on the 25th of this Month. The film has raked 490 Cr pre-release business which is all time record for any Indian film. The film is having sensational advances for the Telugu version worldwide and will break the existing records by a margin. On the other hand the advances for remaining versions are low at this point and may improve a little bit by the end of tomorrow but it looks like other versions will be relying hugely on the word of mouth.

RRR Fever: Bheemla Nayak’s OTT release date changes

RRR fever has gripped the nation and there is a huge demand for the film’s tickets. Ram Charan: Pan-India movies can be a game changer for Indian cinema

Telugu star Ram Charan is elated to be a part of a pan-India film of the scale of “RRR” and agrees that directors such as S.S. Rajamouli have opened the floodgates for all actors to gain the experience of working with other directors from different states.

Addressing a press conference in the Capital, Ram Charan said pan-India films can be a game changer for Indian cinema. “He (Rajamouli) is absolutely right,” he said. “He does not start something that will be loved by each and everyone, but somehow, at the end, that is how it turns out to be.”

He added: “The floodgates have been opened for all actors to experience other Indian directors from different states and for the directors to experience us. There are huge boundaries that have been erased and we are fortunate to be in this era of experiencing other directors and they experiencing us.”

The film, which is slated to be released on March 25, also stars Jr NTR, besides Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in extended cameo appearances, while Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran play supporting roles.

It is a fictional story centred around two real-life revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR), who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.

RRR will be high on action and it also has a hard-hitting emotional drama told Rajamouli. The roles of both the lead actors NTR and Ram Charan are well balanced in the film. During a recent interview, the film’s cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar revealed about a crucial action episode in RRR. “The introduction episodes of NTR and Ram Charan are huge and are challenging. There is a situation where both NTR and Charan meet for the first time in the film. It is an exciting and interesting episode. It has a large scope for VFX and technical work involved” told Senthil.

He continued saying “We started the film’s shoot with this episode and we got the final output of the episode ready by the time the film entered into the post-production phase. We shot the portions of heroes initially and for some time we shot the miniature portions. We shot the backgrounds for VFX team for many days. We combined them at a later stage and we took time to review the entire episode. We spent close to three years to get the episode ready. It is a challenging sequence and is a major highlight of RRR”.

RRR has NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran in the lead roles. The film is releasing across the globe this Friday.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was seen shaking-a-leg with stars NTR Jr and Ram Charan during a fab event for their upcoming film ‘RRR’.

The cast of ‘RRR’ including Alia Bhatt and filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli were in the national capital to promote the film. Aamir joined the cast during the fan event.

Aamir was seen asking the the two actors on how they did the step, which the ‘PK’ star felt could not perform.

He said: “They are very fast.”

Alia then chimed in saying that it’s an easy step and even she has tried it.

Finally, Aamir and Alia joined Ram Charan and NTR Jr.

Finally, Aamir then called fans on stage to perform the hook step for Rajamouli, NTR Jr, Alia and Ram Charan.

The film includes a star-studded lineup including Ajay Devgn and Olivia Morris.

Jayanti Lal Gada of PEN Studios has bagged the theatrical distribution rights across North India and has also bought worldwide electronic rights for all languages. Pen Marudhar will be distributing the film in the North Territory.

The Telugu-language period action drama film is produced by D.V.V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. RRR will release on March 25.

SS Rajamouli and DVV Danayya met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in his Tadepalli residence and requested him to grant permission for ticket hike and extra shows in the state for RRR. The AP government agreed to hike the ticket prices by Rs 100 along with fifth show permission in Andhra Pradesh. This is a huge boost for RRR in the state and a relief for buyers. RRR happens to be the most awaited Indian film and the entire nation is waiting eagerly for the release.
