Bigg boss show has been engaging audience despite fluctuations and ups and downs during some episodes. Nani’s weekend episodes have been really engaging. NTR, host of the season 1 , too lauded Nani’s hosting skills. But there has been some comments on Nani that he is not grilling the contestants. Of course NTR also didn’t grill contestants too much compared to Kamal Hassan episodes, but NTR didn’t hesitate to confront them when needed (e.g. when Hariteja ridiculed Kalpana with her gesture). But Nani showed his another side today as he grilled the contestants on their mistakes.

It is known news that RJ Ganesh self-nominated himself this week for eviction. Nani slammed RJ Ganesh for self-nominating and asked what he wanted to prove by self-nominating himself. He also slammed Roll Rida for letting Ganesh do that to save his own nomination. Also, he slammed both Bhanu and Kaushal regarding the fuss made out the issue of Kaushal inappropriately touching her body (https://www.telugu360.com/bigg-boss-2-shocking-episode-bhanu-slams-kaushal-for-inappropriately-touching-her/) . He didn’t spare Tejaswi too as as he clearly pointed out the flaws in her argument. He subtly criticized Babu also by reminding his earlier weeks’ statement of “alway” supporting Tejaswi and not believing Tejaswi this week.

Bigg boss season 2 is getting good viewership and entertaining the audience. While Nani’s opening episode got the highest TRP and that week, MAA TV reached the top slot relegating ZEE to 2nd position. Later, the show got relatively lesser ratings but Bigg boss pattern itself is like that and it always fluctuates depending on the performance of contestants. There has been comparison between NTR and Nani and recently NTR was asked about Nani’s hosting skills and NTR lauded his hosting skills.

While speaking in a private program, he answered the question on how Nani is doing as Bigg boss host and for this NTR replied, “He is definitely a great actor. Bigg boss itself a fantastic platform and it is a very successful platform. Bigg boss platform has a pattern that never dies. Nani is doing a great job and no matter who does the show, the show will be good. ” He also added, he likes the fables that are told by Nani every week.

Bigg boss episode yesterday shocked audience as there was a big fight happened after Bhanushree alleged Kaushal touched her body inappropriately. As part of luxury budget task Bigg Boss divided teams into two. One with black dresses and another with white dresses representing bad and good. As part of the task white team has been given some red apples and black team some black apples. The teams have to steal apples from opposite teams.

During this task Bhanushree was hiding black apples in her jerkin and Kaushal and others belonging to White team tried to steal those black apples and suddenly Bhanu shree started slamming Kaushal and accused he touched her body inappropriately. This changed the atmosphere of entire house as the house was split into two as some supported Bhanushree and some supported Kaushal. Bhanushree explained clearly how it happened and explicitly told Kaushal’s hand touched her chest. Kaushal initially argued he didn’t do that and Bhanu shree is unnecessarily creating drama, but later told, as part of the task his hand might have touched her inadvertently and that might be a mistake and definitely he didn’t do anything intentionally and he apologized for that.

However Bhanushree did not accept his apology and slammed him heavily and she even through the black apples she had and told “you only take away all these apples and you only win.” Geetha Madhuri even though belonging to Bhanushree team supported Kaushal and asked Bhanu to not make a big issue out of this and stop dragging this topic. She added, she was also there and she saw him trying to steal the apples but his hand never touched Bhanu’s body. At this moment Tejaswi pitched-in in support of Bhanu and slammed both Kushal and Geeta and told she has clearly seen Kaushal’s hand touching Bhanushree. The arguments and altercations continued for some time. Babu gogineni told, in the first place it is the mistake of Big Boss for not clearly spelling the rule that contestants should not hide apples in their clothes.

However audience who watched this were really surprised as it was very difficult to watch these kind of arguments along with kids and family. But it is to be remembered that even in Bigg Boss season 1 Telugu also there were couple of episodes that were heavily criticized by media, families and general audience – like the episode in which lost contestants had to shave the armpits of others. But later makers of season-1 mended their ways and these kind of incidents were not repeated. Will they now take this episode as lesson and make sure the next episodes could be watched by families?

Ever since Nani agreed to do Bigg boss show, there has been curiosity among people on how he would run the show and whether he will be able to meet the benchmark set by NTR in season-1. Nani has been showing his humor and imitation skills during the show and making the episodes in which he is seen very enjoyable.

The below have been some incidents till date in which he showed his exemplary skills in hosting the show, his sense of humor and he even imitated subtly some personalities during the show.

Nani imitating YS Jagan:

This happened during initial weeks. Roll Rida used to “console” other housemates in the initial episodes. In one such episode, Roll Rida was seen consoling Nutan Naidu when Tejaswi bursted on him. Later, when Kireeti was bit down as he was struggling to adjust with the format of the game show, again Roll Rida tried his best to motivate him. The following Saturday, Nani asked Roll Rida “What is that ‘Odarpu’ you are doing to housemates. While using the word ‘Odarpu’, he stressed that word and imitated YS Jagan subtly -like Jagan touches cheeks of people with his both hands.

Nani imitating Bigg boss himself:

This week, Nani made a satire on Amit’s way of talking in Telugu. Usually he speaks word by word. Nani told, there is only one other person in the house who gives so many pauses while talking and it is none other than Bigg boss. While this spontaneous statement evoked laughs in the house, Nani imitated Bigg boss voice and that brought laughs in the house as well as among audience.

Nani imitating Ohmkar:

He also imitated that famous dialogue of Ohmkar – “One second” during the show while one of the audience was about to start the conversation. Those who watched Ohmkar’s Sixth sense show couldn’t stop appreciating the timing of Nani.

Satire on youtube videos:

Nani didn’t leave youtube videos too. Whenever he was about to show some video footage, he always says “choosthe shock avutharu” (you will be shocked if you see this video), poking at the titles of you tube videos.

Also Nani’s teasing of Gogineni’s dance steps, and improvising “Naa TV (My TV)” in season-1 as “Naa nee TV (My and your TV)” that sounds like “Nani TV” all show how careful he is about details and how ease he is at his skill.

However, as will all Bigg boss shows in all seasons, the show’s success depends as much on housemates as much on the host. Even before the start of the show itself, people had confidence on Nani’s skills as they had earlier seen his hosting and Nani definitely lived up to their expectations and he proved he is surely master of the craft.

With Bigg Boss first season ending up as a huge hit, Star MAA wanted the second season to last for 100 days. Even the run time has been increased by half an hour and Natural Star Nani has been roped in to host the season. By the end of three weeks, the second season fetched low TVRs when compared to season one. While Bigg Boss managed to get 7.60 TVR in the first week, Bigg Boss 2 only got 3.50 TVR.

The second week too has been quite dull for Bigg Boss 2 as it managed to get 2.86 TVR while Bigg Boss fetched 7.10 TVR. The third week witnessed small growth after Bigg Boss 2 fetched 2.91 TVR and the first season managed to get 5.95 TVR. On the whole, the second season of Bigg Boss has been under performing due to various reasons. Star MAA and Nani are quite confident on racing to the top soon and Nani will have a challenging time in the coming weeks as he needs to impress the television audience to stand on the top.

Bigg Boss Season 1 in Telugu had no angle of romance as none of the housemates formed a pair. However now Big Boss 2 season is showing romantic angle between Tejaswi and Samrat that has become topic of debate everywhere. While first week of the season 2 dedicated to the theme of common man versus celebrity and second week was full of fights and altercations, now the third week seems to be focusing on chemistry between Tejaswi and Samrat.

It all started during luxury budget task in which Bigg Boss house turned sugarcane factory and housemates were divided into two teams- yellow team and green team. Even though Samrat and Tejaswi were in different teams, during this task their chemistry started. They started talking to each other more and more and always seen together. They were whispering to each other and sometimes when Samrat wanted to tell something (probably naughty) she avoided it saying there is a mike, for which Samrat replied I don’t bother mike.

Tejaswi too looked very possessive about Samrat and they were seen talking to each other everywhere including bathroom. Of course both were there in the bathroom, probably to clean it, as they were seen finding a cockroach in that scene. But anyway audience were surprised to see them together always and not leaving each other even in the bathroom.

Then came another task in which each contestant has to give a red rose to one of the housemates who, they think, lack love in their life. Obviously Samrat gave it to Tejaswi – and before giving it to Tejaswi he told couple of words about her. He said that he saw her first time five years back and thought she is a very hyperactive girl. He added, she is not only a good friend but she is a fighter in every phase of her life even though she looks always smiling and laughing. He felt she is lacking love in her life and give her a red rose. Later Tejaswi also told Samrat is lacking love in life, probably she was referring indirectly about chaos in personal life of Samrat, and gave red rose to him .

Of course other contestant Nandini asked Tejaswi about what’s cooking between both of them, but Tejaswi replied “nothing”. She also added even if it looks in camera that something is cooking between them she doesn’t care about that.

It is to be noted here that Big Boss Season 1 in Tamil also had similar romantic episode between Oviya and Arav. Of course that love story in Tamil Bigg Boss was much more intense than what we are seeing between Samrat and Tejaswi. But who knows we also have many more weeks to go and we will have to see until where it goes . But love between Oviya and Aarav also ended later and after Bigg Boss show it did not continue.

Bigg boss show is turning interesting day by day and the latest episode in which Nani interacted with audience turned even more interesting, maybe because of couple of reasons like Nani turned more confident after seeing the huge TRPs, and there were some very heated arguments in the show during weekdays and Nani spoke about those incidents.,

It is known news that Bigg boss season-2 hosted by Nani received terrific TRPs for the initial episode in which Nani introduced contestants to audience. For the starters, Nani’s first episode received TRP of 15.05, while NTR’s first episode got 16.18.

The show turning more interesting with each passing day, especially the episode in which Kaushal turned aggressive was discussed a lot in news channels too. Nani’s handling of the show very good and looked more confident than last week, maybe because, after seeing TRPs he was relieved of stress. The way he pointed out the contestants yesterday receiving appreciation from audience. Especially, the way he strongly condemned Kireeti’s behavior with Kaushal, the way he motivated RJ Ganesh by saying he was the one common man selected out of lakhs who applied and it is high time he come out of that passiveness, the way he told he understands Kaushal’s pain – all went well with audience.

Today’s episode is expected to be even more interesting as people are waiting to see who will get eliminated – or to put it more specifically -whether Kaushal gets eliminated or he will get one more chance.

Those who are feeling that, Bigg boss -2 Telugu needs more spice and drama might have fully satisfied with today’s episode of Bigg Boss as there were heated arguments, bitter conversations, vociferous screaming, fierce challenges and nasty fightings in the show today. Probably this is the fiercest Bigg boss show in Telugu till date.

It all started for food as Tejaswi commented that some people are taking more food without thinking of others yet to join, leaving them starved. She added, people who are taking more food are also not eating all of it and wasting it by throwing in dustbin while others are starving.

Samrat, captain of the house, also pointed that some people are not washing the spoons they used and questioned – “is this what is being taught in your houses”. Nutan Naidu objected why you are bringing “houses” and “family members” into the topic and the arguments continued as Nutan, Kaushal at one side and Tanish, Samrat at other side and most of the housemates supporting Samrat and Tanish group. The screamings continued and it looked as if someone will start physical attack too. Kaushal seems to be new villain for the housemates as most of them grouped against him.

Later again there was a contest for captaincy and Amit, Tanish and Kaushal contested. Kireeti Damaraju tried to physically harm Kaushal during that but Babu Gogineni stopped it. Kireeti also pointed out – Kaushal’s (mis) behaviour with women in the house is not acceptable and Kaushal demanded an explanation and that again turned into heated argument

Seems the show is turning spicy day by day !!

As part of promotions of the movie Jambalakidi Pamba, hero of the movie Srinivasa Reddy, comedian Vennela Kishore joined the house of Bigg Boss and entertained audience. Both having very good timing and comedy sense, the house erupted into laughs when these actors are in the house. Vennela Kishore entered the house first and informed that he is there as his friend (Srinivas Reddy) got converted into a female (psychologically) and he wants Bigg boss team to convert him back into male psychology. As everyone guesses, this discussion was to promote the theme of their movie.

• Initially Srinivas Reddy behaved like his character in Jambalakidi Pamba movie and the dialogues he used to evoke laughs were a bit suggestive.
• Srinivas Reddy imitated voice of actress Bhanu Sree. As everyone knows, her voice is a bit different from the voices of other women.
• He gave satirical punch to Samrat who is captain of the house, by saying he is rubber stamp captain
• He also made a funny satire on TV9 anchor Deepthi conversation with RJ Ganesh by comparing their conversation with that of Venkatesh and Sunil in Nuvvu Naaku Nachav movie (Remember, “Meeru epptikaina collector avuthaaru babu avuthaaru..”?)
• He also threw satires on Kaushal’s Playboy nature Amit’s too much Helping Nature
• Roll Rida reminded that he only sang the rap song for jambalakadi Pamba movie that was used in promos of the movie

Anyway Vennela Kishore and Srinivas Reddy entertained the audience for a few minutes.

Bigg Boss Tamil-2 was commenced on 17 June 2018 with Kamal Hassan as host. Like Telugu Bigg boss season-1, Tamil Bigg boss also was a stupendous hit. Especially girls like Oviya became super sensation after the show. Now the second season of Bigg boss Tamil also started and it seems, Tamil Bigg boss has better list of contestants compared to Telugu (“Better” in terms of being known to audience before entering Bigg boss house).

At least 10 to 11 of these contestants are known well to Tamil audience even before they joined Bigg boss house. While in Telugu, not even half of the audience known well to Telugu audience. Bhanu Sri, Roll Rida, Kaushal, Deepthi Sunaina, Ganesh, Sanjana, Nandini and Nutan are all not known to Telugu audience and most of the Telugu audience first saw them only on the day-1 of Bigg boss.

1. Mumtaj, an actress and dancer – needs no introduction to Tamil or Telugu audience. Telugu audience still remember her dances in Khushi and Attarintiki Daredi.

2. Riythvika – Remember the girl in Super star Rajni’s Kabali whom he calls – you are like my daughter? She got good applause for her role in Kabali.

3. Ponnambalam, many Telugu people too know him. Remember him in the fights of Gharana Mogudu and other Chiranjeevi movies? He is an actor and stunt master and was seen in several movies in 90s.

4. Yashika Aannand, a model and actress, who acted in 5 movies out of which one movie is a good hit (that thriller movie dubbed into Telugu as ’16’) and also known to Tamil people because of several controversies she was involved in earlier.

5. Mahat Raghavendra,is an actor and he acted in more than 10 movies and he acted in movies of star heroes like Vijay (Jilla).

6. Janani Iyer actress who worked in more than 15 movies, including Vishal and Arya starrer ‘Avan Ivan’ (Vaadu veedu in Telugu).

7. Sendrayan, comedian in Tamil films who acted in more than 20 movies. He acted with Dhanush, Simbu and Mammootty in movies.

8. Thadi Balaji, is a comedian in Tamil films, Tamil TV serials and he is known to more people as a judge in Vijay TV’s program.

9. Ramya is playback singer and filmfare award winner. She sang hundreds of songs including “Poovai poovai” song in Dookudu (parvathi melton song).

10. Ananth Vaidyanathan, appeared in Vijay TV’s Super Singer Junior/Senior.

11. Daniel Annie Pope, acted as a comedian in Tamil films. He acted in Vijay Sethupathi’s movie.

12.Vaishnavi, a journalist and radio jockey -not well known personality

13.Mamathi Chari, TV actress, anchor and radio jockey.

14.Nithya Balaji, ex-wife of actor Thadi Balaji, not very well known personality.

15.Shariq Hassan, an actor and athlete – not well known personality.

16.Aishwarya Dutta, an actress who acted in 5 films – not very well known though people recognize her for her role in a critically acclaimed film.

As per Bigg boss format, no big actor or busy actor agrees to stay in the house isolated by leaving all his commitments. So what Bigg boss gets is the artistes who are not very busy. But within the constrains, they can select someone whom people already know and have some interest or they can go for unknown names. It seems Tamil program organizers chose somewhat better contestants. In addition to having around 10-11 contestants who are well known to audience, it also has a comedian and his ex-wife in the house. Also there is very dominating Mumtaj in the house.

We will have to wait and see how Bigg boss Tamil 2 does in upcoming weeks.
