He even said that their bonding is the reason for some of the episodes well presented on screen. The leading lady Alia Bhatt said that Charan and NTR had hour-long discussions on the sets and she was ignored completely when she sat between them. Ram Charan and NTR showed their bonding with mutual appreciation. NTR said that he and Charan were friends from years and they bonded more on the sets of RRR. During the pandemic break, the duo spent time together. RRR is hitting the screens on January 7th across the globe in a record number of screens.

The lead actors of RRR: Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and NTR along with director SS Rajamouli, producer DVV Danayya attended the Telugu media interaction in Hyderabad this morning. Here are the highlights of the press conference:

I shot the first shot of RRR on NTR and Ram Charan on a bike. Amazed with their bonding on the sets, I was sure that the friendship on screen will work out big time: SS Rajamouli.

NTR said that he did not dub for Malayalam. I was comfortable to dub in four languages for RRR.

RRR is releasing in Five languages and it is dubbed into other languages subsequently: Rajamouli.

I was worried because of the loss of lives due to the pandemic. Coming to the work front, we enjoyed the process of making of RRR: SS Rajamouli.

It was very difficult to portray Komaram Bheem on screen. Rajamouli helped me a lot in the process. He injected a lot about the role before the shoot. I went through a lot of physical transformation for the role: NTR.

I have a clarity on how the audience watches films in theatres. Stars can bring the audience to theatres but it is the script that drives the film. I wanted NTR and Charan as actors for the roles and their friendship is well presented: Rajamouli.

Rajamouli does a lot of homework before shoot. The process is very simple and if we can convince Rajamouli with our performance, we are 100 percent successful: Ram Charan.

Bollywood heroines ignoring South films is just a rumor. I got an opportunity for my lifetime with RRR. Thank you Rajamouli sir. I am eagerly waiting to work on more South Indian films soon. Both NTR and Ram Charan are caring and wonderful. Had a lovely time working with the team: Alia Bhatt.

Together NTR and Ram Charan are pulling each other’s legs, they are too good on the sets. They were not interested about my presence, they are just talking to each other: Alia Bhatt.

My role in RRR has three shades and their characterizations are unique. Rajamouli designed them in peaks: Ram Charan.

The government of AP slashed the ticket prices. It will not work for big films. We are in talks with the government of AP and hope the issues get sorted soon: DVV Danayya.

RRR is a fictional film and has nothing to do with history. We did not take anything from real-life incidents. RRR is just a fiction: SS Rajamouli.

It is not about the length of the roles of Ram and Bheem. It is about how well I empathized with them on screen. I understand that fans will come with expectations about how I balanced both the roles. They will feel quite happy after watching the film: Rajamouli.

RRR is not a patriotic film. It is a movie about friendship. There is a topic of patriotism in the underplay: Rajamouli.

The expressions of Ram Charan and NTR are priceless when I first told them that I am doing a film with them. They are amazed and delighted. I have narrated the plot after I met them: Rajamouli.

We are not friends because of RRR. We are friends outside for years: NTR.

NTR Jr explains why his ‘RRR’ character gives him an adrenaline rush

When NTR Jr was quizzed at the launch of the ‘RRR’ trailer here on Thursday about the movie offers he had to decline because of this pan-Indian period film, he had a ready answer, which was like a tribute to the director S.S. Rajamouli.

“Do You think someone could come up to me and offer me a film when I was doing a Rajamouli movie?” NTR Jr countered. “This does not happen in the industry when you’re working with Jakkanna. ‘Aisa nahi hota hain’.” Rajamouli is lovingly addressed as ‘Jakkanna’ by NTR Jr and others in Tollywood.

Addressing the journalist who asked this question, NTR Jr added: “You know, you’ve been there for a long time. The sooner you accept it the better it is.” He surprised the media with his flawless Hindi and quick wit.

The ‘Aravind Sametha Veera Raghava’ actor will be seen essaying the role of Komaram Bheem, the Gond leader who fought the Nizam’s administration in the 1930s, in ‘RRR’. In the trailer, the actor is introduced as a protector of the Gond tribe. He’s seen taking on a tiger in the trailer.

Commenting on his character, NTR Jr said: “There are some historical heroes whose stories remain in your memory since your childhood. Robin Hood, for example. Playing Bheem took me down memory lane.”

He added: “When you think about the freedom fighters, you feel the adrenaline rush just thinking about what they did for us and how much a part of their lives they are. So, for me, it wasn’t that difficult. I just did what my director had asked me to do.”

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda is the first biggie from Tollywood that released after the second wave of the pandemic. The film is declared as a blockbuster and the film is raking decent revenues all over. The film’s final runtime is 2 hours and 50 minutes. Crucial update on RRR Digital Release

RRR is the most awaited Indian film and the theatrical, non-theatrical rights of the film are sold for record prices. Top production and distribution house Pen Studios holds the Hindi theatrical rights along with the non-theatrical rights of RRR. There are a lot of discussions going on about the digital release of the film. Several biggies made it to the digital platforms in just a month after the theatrical release. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios revealed that RRR will not have its digital release soon.

“RRR is a film that should be watched in theatres. The film will not release on any digital platform in 30 days. We are thinking to release it between 75 and 90 days after its theatrical release” told Jayantilal Gada. This is a huge boost for the film’s theatrical run for sure. RRR is heading for a record release on January 7th 2022 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film features NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris in the lead roles.

Superstar Mahesh Babu attended as a Special guest for NTR’s show Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu. The first season is coming to an end and Mahesh Babu is the last Special Guest for the show. The episode is telecasted last night on Gemini TV and it is packed with fun. When NTR asked Mahesh about hosting a show, the actor replied saying “Hosting naa valla kadhu, Nuvvu chestunnanduku hats off”. Mahesh clarified that he will never host a tv show.

Mahesh Babu called up director Koratala Siva when given an option of ‘Video Call a Friend’. NTR is on a break and he will kick-start the promotions of RRR. ‘RRR’ makers to release film in over 1,000 multiplexes across the US

Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, who is gearing up for the release of his pan-India epic ‘RRR’ starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Saran, is all set to treat fans in the US with his upcoming film.

Apart from India, the makers are aiming to release the film in 1,000 plus multiplexes only in the US, bringing back the glory of Indian cinema to the overseas audience.

Sarigama Cinemas and Raftar Creations are jointly distributing the movie in the US.

The anticipation among the audiences has been increasing day by day not just in India but worldwide as it is the biggest action drama to date.

The makers have shared multiple assets including posters and songs with glimpses of Ajay Devgan, Alia Bhatt, and Ram Charan, among others.

The film’s trailer is also to be unveiled on December 9 followed by a grand event.

Post Baahubali’s success, Rajamouli became a nationwide household name, and he has now made another film on a grand scale and is set to break many records.

The movie includes a star-studded line up besides lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris will be seen in pivotal roles while Samuthirakani, and British actors Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody join in supporting roles.

Jayanti Lal Gada of PEN Studios has bagged the theatrical distribution rights across north India and has also bought worldwide electronic rights for all languages. Pen Marudhar will be distributing the film in the north territory.

The Telugu-language period action drama is produced by D.V.V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. ‘RRR’ will hit the screens on January 7.

Did TDP top brass ask cadre not to attack Jr NTR?

Is there a re-think among the TDP that attacking Junior NTR over the way he responded to the obnoxious comments on Nara Bhuvaneswari on the floor of assembly is not the right strategy? Have some top TDP leaders advised the party cadres not to alienate NTR by attacking him over his comments on the whole issue?

The whole of the NTR family came together to warn the YSRCP, which obnoxiously attacked Nara Chandrababu Naidu and passed snide comments on his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari on the floor of the house. But, Junior NTR was not made part of the family photo op. He later issued a statement condemning the attack on Bhuvaneswari.

However, many TDP leaders felt that NTR’s comments were tame and not strong enough. They also slammed him saying that he was close to both Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who led the attack. They also said that it is his proximity to these leaders that has made NTR to soft-pedal the issue. The pro-TDP media too took up the issue and began targeting Junior NTR.

However, there seems to be a re-think in the TDP top brass. They have reportedly asked the cadre not to target NTR. In fact, NTR has not left the TDP and has never said that he would work with the YSRCP. As of now, his focus was on films and he was being diplomatic to protect the interests of his big-ticket producers, who have invested heavily. Secondly, by targeting NTR, the party was losing focus on the YSRCP. It is the YSRCP that needs to be targeted and exposed, not NTR. By making it a TDP-vs NTR issue, the party will only end up losing his support.

Hence Bharat, the son-in-law of Nandamuri Balakrishna has openly praised NTR for criticising YSRCP. This is an attempt to set the things right, say party sources. Bharat and Lokesh are both sons-in-law of Balakrishna, who in turn is the brother-in-law of Chandrababu. Sources say the directions not to attack NTR have come from the top. The TDP top brass has cleverly ensured that the issue was not diverted.

‘RRR’: Upcoming ‘soul anthem’ to stir emotions

S.S. Rajamouli’s upcoming directorial venture ‘RRR’ is to feature Telugu’s top heroes Ram Charan and Jr NTR together on screen and the makers are set to release its ‘soul anthem’, a song titled ‘Janani’.

This is the first time that the two Telugu stars have come together to work for a movie. Rajamouli’s direction is another aspect that has drawn the craze for ‘RRR’.

The makers of ‘RRR’, who took the internet by storm with ‘Naatu Naatu’, are all set for the emotional musical, termed as ‘soul anthem’, the song is titled ‘Janani’ in Telugu. The makers claim that they have contemplated the song to bring sentimentality and patriotism into the grid.

Sharing the poster, Director Rajamouli tweeted, “Peddanna’s soulful composition for #Janani is the window to #RRRMovie’s powerful and heartfelt emotions. #RRRSoulAnthem will be out on 26th..:) Gear up for an emotionally captivating experience…”.

Rajamouli refers to his cousin M.M. Keeravani, who is the music composer for ‘RRR’, as he mentions ‘peddanna’.

The poster which was unveiled, features the captivating still of Ram Charan and NTR from the movie with Ajay Devgn’s powerful eyes. The song is slated for release on November 26, and the makers will release the song in all the languages the movie is being made in.

‘RRR’ has been scheduled for release on January 7.

Junior NTR’s solidarity with the Nandamuri family on the issue of the YSRCP MLAs’ abusive attack on Nara Bhuvaneswari is being seen as a very significant development. NTR has been keeping away from the Nandamuris for quite some time and has not involved himself in any party programme.

In fact, even when his sister Suhasini contested from Kukatpally in 2018, he stayed away from the campaign. He did not join her at any stage. He has also not joined the TDP campaign after the 2009 elections. But this time around, he has come out in support of Nara Bhuvaneswari through a video clip released on Saturday. NTR said that it’s not just the question of the NTR family being insulted, but it is the question of insult to womanhood. In his statement, he took exception to the comments made by the YSRCP MLAs.

This is the first time that Junior NTR has come out after the 2009 elections. Interestingly, he took care to maintain his distance from the NTR family. He mentioned this as an insult to the entire womanhood and not just the Nandamuri family. He also ensured that he did not do anything controversial as his film career would be at stake given the vindictive nature of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

At the same time, he ensured that he stood by the NTR family in this hour. He also took care to ensure that he did not mention the name of Chandrababu Naidu. Despite all this, this may become the reason for rapprochement with the TDP., sources say.

Cop wins Rs 1 crore in Evaru Meelo Kotteswarulu for first time

For the first time in Telugu television history, a contestant has won whopping Rs 1 crore prize money in Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu, a game show hosted by NTR Junior on Gemini TV.

The winner has been identified as Raja Ravindra, a Sub-Inspector of Police from Kothagudem in Telangana. Raja Ravindra is also a national level player in gun shooting in police tournaments.

Stating that his aim is to participate in Olympics in air rifle category, Ravindra said he would make use of the prize money to achieve his ambition.

Ravindra answered all the questions right and won the full prize money, much to the delight of NTR and Gemini TV. Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu is the official Telugu adaptation of the Britain’s game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show is currently being aired on Gemini TV with NTR Jr as the host since August 2021.
