No takers for three crazy Telugu films in overseas

Telugu360 has already carried out articles regarding the overseas deals of upcoming big ticket films like Spyder and Jai Lava Kusa. We have reported that the producers of both these films are quoting ridiculous prices for overseas rights due to which they are yet to find takers. Overseas buyers are reluctant to shell out big amounts due to the new payout structure which will reduce the profit margin by a considerable percentage.

Mahesh Babu’s Spyder which was initially quoted in the range of 22-25 Crores. As there was no taker, the producer is now ready to close the deal at 16 Crores. But, still the distributors are tentative to bag the rights at the reduced price.

NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa is also yet to close the overseas deal. The producer initially quoted a ridiculous 16-18 Crores for the overseas rights. Even though the producer is looking to trade the film at 14 Crores, no distributor is coming forward to grab the rights.

Another big ticket film which is yet to close the overseas deal is Pawan Kalyan – Trivikram film which is billed as one of the eagerly awaited flicks this years. The producer is looking for a 20 Crore deal, but the distributors are not willing to take the gamble as exhibitors in many big centres are not showing interest due to the new revenue rules.

Pawan Kalyan extends support to Congress rally

Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan extended his support to Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee’s (APCC) rally today at Guntur demanding Special Category status (SCS). The actor-turned politician however said that due to short notice he will not be able to make it to the venue and share the stage with Rahul Gandhi and other prominent leaders.

Kalyan after about a month of absence, returned to twitter accept the invite extended by Raghuveera Reddy, who in his open letter invited YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy and Jana Sena Supremo to participate in the public meeting. Furthermore, the Jana Sena chief asked every political party to join the fight for SCS, indirectly applauding congress for bringing all the leaders under “one common dias”. He conveyed best wishes to Raghuveera Reddy and hoped that the public meeting achieves the intended goal.

It may be noted that APCC is gearing up for Prateyka Hoda Bharosa Sabha demanding the implementation of SCS for the state as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014. Congress called for all the parties to unite for protest against NDA to join them at Muslim College at Guntur along with Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.

Chandrababu advices aspiring politicians to settle before joining politics

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was the youngest assembly member and even youngest minister at 28 years in undivided state. After about four decades of political career, Naidu suggests youngsters not to choose politics as a profession. Rather he advices the aspiring politicians to settle down first and not solely depend on politics. He believes that only after settling down a person feels like serving others. This could be one reason that the young leaders in Telugu Desham Party are countable on fingers. However, Naidu deems otherwise and said that their party has created enough opportunities for youth to serve people through their party. Quoting the example of Ram Mohan Naidu, Lokesh and Devineni Avinash, the CM held that in 2019 elections the valour of younger TDP generation will be comprehended. At the governance level, he affirmed that indiscipline will not be tolerated in his party and no leader is supposed to cross the Lakshmana Rekha.

Naidu in an interview to Deccan Chronicle spoke about the political peers including Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan who are the new generation of politicians. He termed the opposition leader as an unstable man who doesn’t know the spelling of integrity and character. Speaking about corruption, the TDP chief alleged that corruption is expanding under the direction of YSRCP chief and said that their party knows how to handle Jagan who grew with the help of his father’s corrupt practices. While the TDP national party president doesn’t consider Reddy as competitor, Naidu said that he respects Kalyan but it is too early to speak about Jana Sena chief.

As the world is facing a leadership vacuum, we Indians should appreciate for having the most stable leader like Narendra Modi emphasizes Naidu. The BJP leaders in state are agitated with the TDP, however, the CM said that he follows alliance Dharma and expects others to complement as well. Naidu who has time and again said that he wants TDP to remain in power forever in AP, trusts in promoting consistent leadership and development in the country. An ally of the saffron party since the Vajpayee reign, TDP supremo is all praise for Modi for not only consistently driving the country towards development but also promoting the nation abroad.

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu reminded the Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party leaders that the Telugu Desam Party is their ally on Saturday. He reiterated it is inapt to discuss about alliances of the next elections now.

Vishakapatnam North BJP MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju seems to have taken the advice seriously. On one hand, he was praising TDP leader and Minister for Roads and Buildings Ch Ayyanna Patrudu for responding to the Vishaka Land Scam. He further said that had all the leaders been like Ayyanna, the state would have been developed by now. While Vishnukumar was praising one TDP leader, he attacked TDP MP Kesineni Nani and demanded him to resign immediately for his comments against BJP.

The saffron party leader did not confine himself to TDP and referring to Pawan Kalyan quoted that BJP doesn’t believe in disregarding someone after their purpose is solved. Vishnu Kumar asserted that Kalyan helped them in 2014 elections, so they will remember him till 2019. He further said that someone is misleading Kalyan on special category status and like any other BJP leader, he rehearsed that the Central government approved special package is way better than SCS. He critiqued the Jana Sena Chief for still hanging around with the SCS subject.

It is known that Kalyan is showing inclination towards left parties. On the contrary, Venkaiah asked his party leaders to ignore the communist parties and quoted the recent five-state Assembly polls where the left parties did not secure even a single seat.

Vishnu Kumar said that 2019 elections are very crucial for BJP in the state. Even Venkaiah asked the activists to strengthen the party and enlighten the people about the central government schemes. BJP doesn’t want to forget Kalyan or Chandrababu, but what about the promises to the Telugu people they have backtracked on? The saffron brigade keeps talking about special package, the answers for Kadapa steel plant, Vishaka Railway Zone, Vijayawada metro rail and all the provisions of AP re-organisation act are yet to be know.

Several top Telugu filmmakers have at least once confessed in open about their dream of directing Pawan Kalyan. Although star director VV Vinayak has directed the likes of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, NTR and Ram Charan, he has been longing to do a film with the ‘Gabbar Singh’ actor. It seems that a project in this explosive combo may finally shape up.

As per fresh reports, Pawan has been in touch with Vinayak over the past few months and they have discussed a few ideas. Nothing is finalized as of now. And, Vinayak is busy scouting a script that can do justice to his combo project with Pawan. If he can come up with a subject that connects with Pawan, he will be the next director after Trivikram to direct this actor-turned-politician.

Although Pawan had earlier considered the likes of Tamil director Neason, Santosh Sivan etc. he voted in favor of Vinayak after realizing the importance of having an experienced director calling shots. The way Vinayak relaunched Megastar with Khaidi No.150 may also be one of the reasons for Pawan’s inclination towards this commercial director. AM Ratnam, who has been put on hold by Pawan for past few years, may produce this high budget project.

In his effort for an image makeover, the young hero is now teaming up with director Karunakaran, a specialist in dealing love stories.

Tej’s intent is right but Karunakaran is not the same potential director that he once used to be. His last two films – Endukante Premanta and Chinnadana Neekosam couldn’t justify the promise he had shown in his hey days. Let’s wait and see if the duo can surprise everyone.

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief and Tollywood hero, Pawan Kalyan, who runs his politics through twitter, had to taste the hackers wrath. The hackers have hacked Pawan Kalyan’s twitter account preventing the heru-turned politician to access his account.

Shocked at the development, the Jana Sena leadership had lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad police for action. The Jana Sena leaders took strong exception to the hacking of the account and wondered what the hackers would get by disturbing the hero’s account.

The Jana Sena chief who communicates to the people and his supporters through the twitter account, said that they would take legal action in the case and restore the account shortly.

Vijayawada: The Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan said he would undertake pada yatra in Ananthapur district shortly. He made this announcement during his interaction with the party whole-timers from the district, who were selected recently. Like the Communist parties, the Jana Sena is also recruiting whole timers as speakers, content writers and analysts to work with the people.

He reiterated that he would contest the next round of Assembly elections from Ananthapur district. He said his pada yatra would connect him with the people of the district and wanted the whole timers to prepare the ground for the elections.

Referring to the criticism on him that he is a part time politician, the Jana Sena chief wanted to know who is a fulltime politician. He said he had not seen any fulltime politician and alleged that most of them have made money in politics and sitting at home. He further said that unlike those politicians, he was working in the films to earn money for his family and his staff. He claimed that films are his bread winning activity which he would keep aside if he had to fight for the people.

He wanted the whole-timers to ignore critics and focus on addressing the issues of the people. He wanted them to highlight the peoples’ issues at every stage and draw the attention of the government to solve them.

Music sensation Anirudh Ravinchander will be making his debut in Tollywood with Trivikram Srinivas’ upcoming film that stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead. Sources say that the young music sensation has already readied three thumping songs that suits Pawan’s image.

The latest we hear is that Trivikram has roped this talented composer again for his next project which has NTR as the protagonist. Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan said that both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are equal for him. He extended support for reclaiming Dharna Chowk fight and communicated that the volunteers of his party will participate in ‘Occupy Dharna Chowk’ programme on May 15 at Indira Park. He alleged that the TRS government is trying to kill the legacy by not allowing people to protest at Dharna Chowk. He recalled that when he was in PRP he did stage a protest at Indira Park and said for Telangana movement the place played a key role.

Addressing the issue of North-South divide, he cleared the air that he is not against north India or Hindi. But he said, “Give us equal opportunity. Don’t treat South Indians as second grade citizens”. Firm on his stance about TTD EO, the actor said, “I am not against his appointment. If people from North are given key positions here, then people from South should be given key positions in the North”. Pawan Kalyan said people who want the country to be united should raise their voice on the problems. “If equal importance is not given to two regions, it is not good for the nation’s integrity” he said.

The Jana Sena party president condemned the manner in which Chilli farmers were arrested and requested the governments to provide proper price to the farmers and stop arresting farmers. The Tollywood actor requested Telangana Chief Minister KCR to solve the problems of the engineering students. He thanked APPSC for understanding the woes of the group2 aspirants and postponing the exam.

Speaking at a media briefing Pawan Kalyan said, “I am not pro-party but we are Pro-people.” He said that he would question any issues on behalf of the people. When asked about forming an alliance with CPM, the actor turned politician said that after the party organization is properly established, they would consider forming alliances.

Responding to the controversy surrounding Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Jana Sena chief said “He may not know me, but I know him very well”.

CPM Leader Tammineni Veerabhadram Meets Pawan Kalyan

CPI (M) general secretary Tammineni Veerabadram met Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan on Thursday. In a closed-door meeting, the duo apparently discussed the possibilities of alliance and fighting against anti-people policies. The also allegedly conversed about the latest political developments in Telugu states. Tammineni after the meeting said that the two parties will work together on issues of public interest. They also said to have discussed the situations witnessed and the issues collected by the CPM leader during his padayatra.

It may be recalled, Tammineni lead the Maha Jana Padayatra for ‘Social Justice and Development of Telangana’, which covered almost 4000 kilometers in 31 districts for five-and-a-half months.

Pawan has been giving hints of working with communist parties. Jana Sena which said that it will contest in both the Telugu states, seems to slowly clear air around its strategies in Telangana with his alignment with the Left parties. At the national level, CPM is trying to establish a third front against NDA and UPA. Gaddar, who resigned to the Maoist party, has expressed interest in working with Jana Sena.

IAS Association slams Pawan Kalyan

Tollywood actor and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan’s tweets censuring the appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal, IAS as the TTD Executive Officer is facing severe criticism. Jana Sena released a press note saying that it is not opposing the appointment of Anil Kumar but rather asking the government to appoint South Indian IAS officers in North Indian temples.

Kalyan’s tweets in first place did not go well with IAS officers’ association. In response to the tweet from Kalyan, IAS Association tweeted “IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service & we work in all States without any North/South/East/West/NE bias”

Kalyan said in his tweet questioned, “would they allow any South Indian to take up the administrative position of such sacred shrine of Northern India”.
