Sudheer Babu is presently doing a period action drama Harom Hara which is being made at a Pan India level. The movie gets Pan India support as five superstars Prabhas, Tiger Shroff, Mammootty, Vijay Sethupathy, Kichcha Sudeep launched the teaser in different languages.

The rags to riches tale revolves around the journey of one man played by Sudheer Babu, who rises from a normal man to become the supremo of the town. The teaser is meant to introduce us to the dark theme of the movie and also to all the prominent characters.

The visuals are remarkable, with enormous BGM and outstanding performances. Sudheer Babu lived in a character that has different shades. He simply lived in the character and mouthed the dialogues in Kuppam slang. Malvika Sharma appeared as Sudheer Babu’s love interest, while Sunil played his friend.

The teaser promises the film is going to be an action spectacle. It has raised the prospects for the movie made lavishly under the banner of Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas.

The makers have also announced through the teaser to release the movie in early 2024.

Harom Hara is a pucca commercial entertainer set in 1989 in Kuppam. The makers released a glimpse called First Trigger and Sudheer Babu’s dialogue in Kuppam slang is just terrific. The visuals and the background score are big attractions.

Sudheer Babu has been struggling to deliver a hit from the past few years. He tested his luck with HUNT, an action thriller. The film is the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster film Mumbai Police. Here is the complete review of HUNT:

Story:

Arjun Prasad (Sudheer Babu) works as an Assistant Commissioner in Hyderabad and Mohan (Srikanth) is his superior. Aryan (Bharat) too is an Assistant Commissioner. All these three are good friends and Arjun, Aryan works on a mission at the country’s border and assassinates the terrorists. Aryan receives an award from the Governor for his achievement. During his speech, an unknown person shoots Aryan who gets killed. Arjun has been asked to investigate the case. Arjun finds the real culprit but before he informs the same to Mohan, his car meets with an accident. Arjun forgets about the past and the investigation reaches the first page again. Arjun takes up the investigation again and the rest of the film is all about reopening the case and finding the real culprit in the crime. Watch HUNT to know about the story.

Analysis:

HUNT is the remake of Mumbai Police and it released a decade ago in Malayalam. The case was a sensation ten years ago and it sounds pretty normal today. The climax portion was a sensation in the original and the makers predicted the same with the Telugu version but it turns out to be a huge misfire. Any murder mystery needs a strong crime scene but it misses in HUNT. There would be lot of characters to raise the curiosity in a crime thriller. The narration lacks interest and the film happens on a dull note. The friendship scenes too lack interest. The terrorist episode tries hard to raise curiosity and it fails big time. The interval bang too is quite weak.

The investigation happens at a slow pace in the second half. HUNT is a true remake to the original and there are lot of outdated elements as the film released ten years ago. A film like HUNT should have a brilliant screenplay with some interesting twists. The director believed in the climax twist alone and this did not work out for the film.

Performances:

Sudheer Babu did a huge risk for HUNT but the film is a huge misfire. The film did not match his body language or his image as an actor. Sudheer Babu delivered his best for the film. The director failed badly in making HUNT an impressive and gripping crime thriller. The action episodes are ok. The characters of Srikanth and Bharat should have been better. Goparaju Ramana, Gopi and Manjula have done justice for their roles.

The production values of HUNT are decent. Ghibran’s background score sounds good but the party song was not registered well. Apsara Rani looked glamorous in the song. The cinematography work is decent. Some of the Hollywood technicians worked for the action stunts but they are not quite effective. HUNT is a film that is made based on the climax twist. This turns out to be a huge misfire.

Verdict: HUNT fails badly as the narration looks poor and outdated. The climax twist fails badly.

Telugu star Sudheer Babu’s pan India film titled ‘Harom Hara’

Director Gnanasagar Dwaraka’s upcoming film, featuring actor Sudheer Babu in the lead, has been titled ‘Harom Hara’, its makers announced on Monday.

This will be Sudheer Babu’s 18th film and is being produced by Sumanth G. Naidu under the banner of SSC (Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas).

DiDwaraka is best known for his debut film, the youthful entertainer ‘Sehari’.

Along with the title ‘Harom Hara’, the makers also released the tagline, ‘The Revolt’. Sources say that while the title appears to be spiritual, the tagline discloses the revenge aspect of the story.

The conceptual title video demonstrates the setting, backdrop, and scale of the movie.

The story is set in 1989 in Kuppam of Chittoor district. Popular places such as Subramanya Swamy Temple, Jagadamba Talkies, and a railway station are shown in the video.

The video presents Sudheer Babu in a never-seen-before mass avatar. “Inga Seppedem Ledua Sesedea” utters Sudheer Babu, when a person asks him to put an end to his silence.

The actor seems to have undergone a complete makeover for the movie. Chaitan Bharadwaj’s background score is apt.

Aravind Vishwanathan has handled the cinematography of the movie, while Ramesh Kumar G presents it.

‘Harom Hara’ will have a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

Tollywood actor Sudheer Babu has been attempting films of different genres and has been undergoing physical transformations, as per the requirement of the characters he portrays. Thursday saw the official announcement of Sudheer Babu’s 18th film.

He will be teaming up with director Gnanasagar Dwaraka who had debuted with ‘Sehari’. Sumanth G. Naidu will produce the movie under SSC (Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas) banner.

The announcement poster shows an inland letter card from Arun Gowli of South Bombay to Subramanyam of Kuppam in the Chittoor district. The message reads: “Critical: your arrival is needed.” A temple and a village scene are visible in the poster that also has a gun, bullets, an old rupee note, a landline phone, and a cigar. Mass Sambhavam on October 31,” announced the makers hinting at an update coming on the day.

This is a period action drama with a divine element and the story is set in 1989 in Kuppam. It’s a proper nativity film that will present Sudheer Babu in a never-seen-before mass avatar. The actor who is Superstar Mahesh Babu’s brother in law, will be undergoing a makeover for this movie.

Sudheer Babu is coming up with an action thriller with his next film, Hunt and he is playing an action packed police officer role in the same.

The first lyrical video song from the album, Papa Tho Pailam has been unveiled now. The song features Sudheer, Apsara Rani, and also Srikanth and Premisthe fame Bharath who make a brief appearance.

Sudheer and Apsara rock the dance floor in the lyrical video. Ghibran’s energetic composition gives a new josh. This is not a usual item number as it is relies on electronic music and the beats are funky and hi-fi. Mangili and Nakash Aziz’s vocal suit the theme of the song and they pack a punch.

The musical promotions of Hunt have started with the energetic Papa Tho Pailam and there’s more to come as the makers are set to unveil more promotional material.

Story :

‘Aa Ammayi gurinchi meeku cheppali‘ is a fictional story based on film industry. Star director Naveen (Sudheer Babu) tries to rope in Dr. Alekhya( Krithi Shetty)to play heroine role in his film. Alekhya who is an ophthalmologist by profession, evades the film director for a reason not revealed initially. Alekhya reveals her backstory, then finally agrees to act in the film. What was the original reason for her aversion, what are the repercussions of her becoming heroine are the rest of the things to be watched on silver screen

Analysis:

Films based on film industry are rare attempts, this film is latest such attempt. Movie opens establishing the character of a star director Naveen (played by Sudheer Babu). Naveen comes across an impressive show reel video of a beautiful girl. Once Naveen finds the girl as Dr. Alekhya, he tries to make her accept the heroine offer. The doctor is very hateful about the film industry, and equally avert to the commercial films of Naveen as well. Naveen doesn’t get the decision tries to find the root cause. Once the backstory comes out movie turns a bit engaging compared to the pale story telling till then. The twist in the story plot is not that impressive but adequate.

The slow-paced story telling trait of director Mohankrishna Indraganti continues even in this film. In out and out love stories the approach is somewhat passable, but in this serious film it takes more patience. First half of the film is very dull with no high elements. Once the flashback is revealed emotions work a bit occasionally. Commercial aspects are very less in this film. ‘Kottha Kottha Gaa’ the melodious song is good audio wise and visuals as well. The item song is not impressive.

Sudheer Babu as film director looks fine, acted with ease. Krithi Shetty got a role which challenges her performance, she did adequately. Vennela Kishore and Rahul Ramakrishna played support roles well. Avasarala Srinivas acted in a brief role as a doctor.

Positives:

Verdict:

‘Aa Ammayi gurinchi meeku cheppali‘is a serious film with a heart touching climax. Story is based on a wannabe heroine’s life and the Second half has relatively better content compared to a pale first half. Overall, it’s Mohankrishna Indraganti’s typical non-commercial film aimed at limited section of audience.

“Fun & action have no language barrier. Also in Hindi this time! Let’s go!” tweeted Sudheer as he shared the first look poster of ‘Mama Mascheendra’.

The film’s title is derived from the most popular song ‘Maama Mascheendra’ from Kamal Haasan’s ‘Bharateeyudu’ film.

The film’s title and first look poster intrigues, as the ‘Mama Mascheendra’ sounds interesting. The actor, dressed in funky costumes, appears ecstatic as he appears to be singing on a pub stage in the poster. Certainly, the poster makes an impression.

Sudheer will play a multi-shaded character in the film, which is described as an action entertainer with an original concept.
