Yanamala terms Jagan as a fraud who deceived youth

0

Former Finance minister and TDP politburo member, Yanamala Ramakeshnudu, termed Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a fraud who took the youth in the State for a ride.

Ramakrishnudu, in a press note released here felt that the ruling YSRCP is only making attempts to cover up the anger that is growing among the youth. The former Finance minister is of the opinion that if any obstructions are created for the ‘Yuva Galam’, the pada yatra of TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, it amounts to blocking the future of the youth in the State.

” Jagan Mohan Reddy has made several promises to the youth while in Opposition but after coming to power he totally forgot these assurances given to them. Even the welfare of the youth and their future was completely given a goby,” Yanamala observed.

Jagan did not stand by his promise that he would release a job calendar every year to fill the vacant posts in various government departments, he said and asked what happened to the assurance given to the unemployed that three lakh vacancies would be filled.

Ramakrishnudu said that the youth, particularly those from the SC, ST and Minority sections, lost employment opportunities after Jagan came to power.

Maintaining that the youth were getting employment opportunities during the Chandrababu Naidu regime through certain special schemes, he said that Jagan discontinued all such schemes soon after coming to power.

“The Chief Minister even deceived the youth by not fulfilling his promise made to them that he would pay unemployment allowance,” Yanamala said.

These are the reasons as to why Lokesh is undertaking his pada yatra in the name of ‘Yuva Galam’ through which he is planning to have first-hand information on the problems that the unemployed youth are facing, Ramakrishnudu said. But Jagan and his gang are hatching a conspiracy only to create hurdles to the pada yatra and the release of the GO No-1 is only part of this plot, he felt.

“As the issue of the GO No-1 is pending before the High Court, now Jagan is making efforts to create obstructions to the pada yatra through the Director General of Police (DGP). The letter from the DGP is only part of this game,” he stated.

AP to upgrade curriculum with foreign institutions

0

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stressed the need to integrate certified job-oriented online vertical courses like risk analysis, risk management, banking and real estate administration with mainstream curriculum for improving the skills of degree students and enabling them to choose self-employed professions.

During the review meeting on Higher Education held here on Thursday, the Chief Minister directed the officials to acquaint themselves with various courses being imparted to students in popular educational institutions abroad and implement the same curriculum in our educational institutions.

Such curriculum should be integrated with the syllabus by June next, he suggested, adding that officials should also have a tie-up with national institutions like National Stock Exchange (NSE) to develop the students as self-employed professionals in various sectors.

He suggested that steps be taken to fill the vacant posts in the Department by clearing legal hurdles by June in view of the green signal given by the Government. Officials should become more active to meet the pace of reforms being introduced in the Department.

Every higher education institution should strive to achieve NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation in the next three years by improving standards in teaching and other to get eligibility step by step every year, outlined the Chief Minister, asserting categorically that recognition of institutions which fail in this respect should be cancelled.

As the Government is establishing skill development centers in all 175 constituencies, students should be trained to meet the scarcity of experts in the fields of solar panel making, repairing of solar motors and maintenance of solar parks and the same courses should be introduced by June next.

Besides strengthening the Academic Staff Colleges in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati to improve the standards of teaching staff, another such college should be established in central Andhra region, directed the Chief Minister, asking the officials to take a final decision based on the attendance of students and facilities available in the private B.Ed colleges which are cheating students.

Jagan looting even sacred place of Tirumala, says Putta Sudhakar

0

Even world-renowned pilgrim centres like the Tirumala are no exception for Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, to loot, observed former chairman of Tirumala, Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, Putta Sudhakar Yadav.

Sudhakar Yadav told media persons that Jagan, along with his gang looting the pilgrims of the most renowned temple in the world, the Tirumala. The Chief Minister revised the rents of the rooms from Rs 150 to Rs 1,700 and from Rs 200 to Rs 2,000, Sudhakar Yadav said, adding that the State government did not make any changes in the rooms but only revised the rents.

“What is astonishing is that the advance being collected from the pilgrims as security deposit is not being refunded,” he stated.

Even since Jagan Reddy came to power, the darshan of Lord Venkateswara to the pilgrims has become so difficult that they have to wait for days if not a week for the dashan. “Earlier the pilgrims were confident that they would have darshan of the Lord maximum in hours, if not in a day. But now they are sure when they will have the darshan and will return home. This is the prevailing situation on the Seven Hills,” he observed.

This apart, there is no proper maintenance of the accounts for the hundi collection and other assets of the Lord and no proper accounts are being submitted to the authorities on the donations being given by the pilgrims, Sudhakar said.

Even the annual functions like the Vaikunta Ekadasi are being turned into a day of collections, the former TTD Trust Board chairman remarked and stated that the pilgrims are being subjected to looting under the guise of the TTD.

“I really feel ashamed to say that the world’s most famous temple is being ransacked and I demand that the TTD officials ensure that there are no hurdles for the pilgrims for the darshan of the Lord,” Mr Putta Sudhakar Yadav said. He also wanted that the rents of the rooms be brought down and the security advance be refunded to the pilgrims.

Andhra minister hits back at Adnan Sami for lashing out at CM

0

An Andhra Pradesh minister hit back at singer Adnan Sami after the latter lashed out at Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for Telugu flag flying high message on “RRR” bagging a Golden Globe award.

Industries, Infrastructure and Information Technology Minister Gudivada Amarnath told Adnan Sami that he is no one to pass judgment on their patriotism.

“We are proud of our language, our culture and our identity. And I proclaim again, WE ARE TELUGU.

@AdnanSamiLive, you are no one to pass judgement on our patriotism,” tweeted the minister.

“My pride in being Telugu does not take away from my identity as an Indian,” he added.

Adnan Sami, who became an Indian citizen in 2016, had found fault with the Chief Minister’s congratulatory message. While congratulating the “RRR” team for winning the award for the “Naatu Naatu” song, Reddy tweeted: “The Telugu flag is flying high”.

“Telugu flag? You mean INDIAN flag right? We are Indians first & so kindly stop separating yourself from the rest of the country. Especially internationally, we are one country! This ‘separatist’ attitude is highly unhealthy as we saw in 1947!!! Thank you Jai HIND,” wrote Sami.

However, the singer received flak for his remark from many Twitter users who defended the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and reminded him that being proud Telugu does not make one less Indian.

“If only you cud read the underlying emotions of a telugite expressing his ethnic pride ,u wudn’t hv com up with ur Nationalism platitudes . Being REGIONAL makes us no less INDIAN than any of our Northern counterparts nor it leads to fissiparous tendencies keep ur gyan to urself,” wrote a netizen.

“With that logic, being Indian doesn’t make you any less regional,” argued Sami.

“But you have taken an innocent statement of regional pride out of context and are now forcing 600K fellow Indians to see your perspective through a separatist lens just because it was not aceworded politically correctly”, wrote another ATwitter user.

“A Chief Minister of a great State has all the means, facilities & responsibility to word a statement as aPolitically Correct’!!aPeriod!!,” responded the singer.

AP to provide Rs 15k cr infra for Anganwadis

1

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed the Women and Child Welfare Department officials to take up the Rs. 1500 crore infrastructure development works in all Anganwadis in three phases implementing a clear cut action plan covering all Mandals.

During a review meeting on the functioning of Anganwadis on Tuesday, the Chief Minister directed the officials to constantly monitor the supply of milk and eggs to the children to ensure their quality. He told them to formulate SOPs using technology to ensure a fool proof and hassle-free distribution of food items.

There should be a constant vigil even on the functioning of supervisors and strict action should be taken against staff members indulging in wrong doings in the distribution of milk and eggs. Besides filling the existing 63 CDPO posts as soon as possible, the process of giving promotions should also be expedited, he suggested.

Besides ensuring that quality milk is served to all children, officials should launch a pilot project immediately to serve flavoured milk to children, he said, observing it can be launched in full-fledged manner after three months.

The Chief Minister asked the officials to formulate proposals on introducing teaching methods using smart TVs to give the best education to kids in Anganwadis. While village and ward clinics should constantly monitor the health of the children in Anganwadis, better medical treatment should be extended to all children using Aarogyasri wherever necessary.

He said Anganwadis, Medical and Health Department and Village Clinics should work in tandem to ensure nutritious food to all mothers and children suffering from anaemic problems. They should be given additional medicines, and this should be implemented from Feb 1. A permanent solution should be found to the problem using the family doctor concept and formulating SOPs.

A fool proof method should be developed to provide take home ration for all mothers, he said, adding that the government is giving as much importance to women and child welfare as it gives to education, agriculture, medical and health sectors.

He asked the officials to work favourably towards the children in all government schools and Anganwadis as majority of children belong to weaker sections. We can achieve best results by extending good education to children between 10 to 12 years, he said.

YSRCP celebrates Praja Sankalapa Yatra milestone

1

The YSRCP celebrated four years of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalapa Yatra at the Party Central Office at Tadepalli on Monday.

Party General Secretary and government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy along with MLCs Umareddy Venkateswarulu, Lella Appi Reddy and Bapatla MP Nandigama Suresh cut a cake in the presence of party leaders and activists.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramakrishna Reddy said that Jagan Mohan Reddy is a person who believed that always being with the people is politics. The manifesto was prepared by the Party after observing the hardships of the people seen during his padayatra.

On assuming office, the Chief Minister has fulfilled 98 percent of his promises in the manifesto and stood by the people in every possible way, even during the pandemic crisis, he said. The Chief Minister initiated ‘Gadapa Gadapaku Prabhuthvam’ programme as he is confident of what he had done for people’s welfare.

Usually, the ruling party leaders will aspire for early polls and give hints accordingly, but the Opposition parties have taken the responsibility on their shoulders by carrying out a false propaganda for their political existence. Naidu doesn’t have any achievements to his credit, while Jagan Mohan Reddy never lost people’s trust, he said.

1

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday asked nhis YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) cadres to keep aside all differences and strive to achieve the goal of winning all 175 Assembly seats in the next year’s elections.

Asserting that winning all 175 seats is not an impossible task, he urged the party cadres to work unitedly.

The Chief Minister interacted with party activists of Vijayawada East Assembly constituency and exhorted them to prepare for the polls by taking forward the good work done by the government during the past three and a half years.

During the meeting held at the camp office here, he emphasised the importance of the Gadapa Gadapaku Prabhuthvam programme to reach out to the people highlighting the welfare schemes being implemented by the YSRCP government and insisted on receiving feedback.

“To further strengthen the party at the grass root level, we are appointing secretariat-wise conveners and house chiefs for every 50 to 70 houses and they will be involved in party activities,” he said.

“A male and female cadre will be incharge to carry the party message, besides providing publicity material. No matter how small a problem anyone has, it should be solved and welfare should be reached to all the eligible. Persons who missed out to receive the benefits for various reasons will be covered twice in a year,” he said, adding that the revolutionary step was not taken by previous governments.

0

Chief Minister and YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday confirmed the candidature of Devineni Avinash for the 2024 elections from the Vijayawada East Assembly constituency.

Jagan government defends move to prohibit meetings on roads

1

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSRCP on Tuesday defended its move prohibiting public meetings and rallies on roads, saying it is aimed at ensuring public safety.

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) General Secretary and government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna countered what the party called a fake narrative on prohibitory orders for public meetings.

He said that the opposition has been spreading a lot of misinformation regarding the Government Order (GO) issued by the state Home Department.

He dismissed the allegation that GO is suppressing the questioning voices. “Nowhere in the GO has it been stated that people have been banned from holding public meetings. It is a prohibitory order in the wake of Nellore tragedy. The GO has prohibited public meetings and rallies on roads, including national highways to ensure public safety,” he said.

He pointed out that the GO clearly states that permission will be granted for meetings but safety takes precedence. That’s why there is an emphasis on width of the road, location, exit points, number of people attending the meeting, among other pointers which would be considered by the authorities before awarding clearance for holding events.

He also rejected the claim by the opposition parties that the decision is autocratic. “The GO has elaborated that the police and district administration have the freedom to suggest alternative locations away from public roads subject to the condition that the meetings should not obstruct free flow of traffic. It is not an autocratic decision but for the safety of the public,” he said.

Earlier, the opposition parties came down heavily on the YSRCP government for issuing the GO.

Politburo member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and MLA, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, termed the GO a new year gift that deprives the people of their democratic rights.

He said that the GO has been issued on the provisions of the 1861 Police Act implemented by the British, which are totally outdated. This amounts to maligning democracy and it reflects the factionist mentality of the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TDP leader said.

The GO is a classic example that Jagan turned as a murderer of the democracy and it once again proved his dictatorial mentality, he said.

He alleged that Jagan Reddy is trying to stifle the voice of the opposition as he is unable to digest the enormous response to the meetings of TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Jagan shows doors to former minister Anam

0

In a swift move, YSR Congress president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy showed the door to former minister and Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. The chief minister named Nedurumilli Ram Kumar Reddy as the party coordinator for the constituency represented by Anam Ramanarayana Reddy.

Ramanarayana Reddy, who has been sulking for not taking him into the cabinet, had intensified his attack on the state government. He is using the public platform to criticise the government and in a short period, he had earned the name as another Raghurama Krishnam Raju for the YSR Congress.

Ramanarayana Reddy criticised the government headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy for not developing the state. He said that the party would not win the election just because the government is paying pensions. He made several hard-hitting comments against the party leadership and the government.

On Tuesday, Ramanarayana Reddy said that the party would not win the next election scheduled in 2024. He said that the party had lost the faith of the people and it would not win the election held any time from now.

The party leadership reacted swiftly to these damaging remarks by the sitting MLA. Jagan Mohan Reddy had directed the party to announce the name of former chief minister Nedurumilli Janardhana Reddy’s son Ram Kumar Reddy to take care of the party affairs in the Venkatagiri constituency.

It is now to be seen what step Anam Ramanarayana Reddy would make following his removal from the party position in the constituency.

Jagan compares his regime with that of Naidu

0

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appealed to people to see the qualitative difference between the present YSRCP government with the previous TDP government. He said that his government was steadfastly implementing welfare schemes as per its election manifesto while the TDP had betrayed every section of society and dumped its manifesto into the dustbin after coming to power.

Addressing a public meeting at Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday after formally launching the enhanced social pension that went up to Rs. 2750 from Rs. 2500 a month, the Chief Minister drew contrast between Chandrababu Naidu who backstabbed NTR and usurped power from him unceremoniously and a person who pretended to be an orphan who killed parents and sought remission in a court of law.

He said while he was feeling proud to implement his election manifesto and hike the social pension that benefits the downtrodden including the differently abled, widows, the aged, non-earning loners, AIDS-affected, bed-ridden people and even dialysis patients.

People should see the difference between his welfare governance that has been disbursing monthly pensions ranging from Rs 2750 to Rs 10,000 to different sections of people and the TDP rule that allowed Janma Bhoomi Committees to fix rates for disbursing welfare benefits.

He said while the number of pensioners went up to 64 lakhs in YSRCP government from 39 lakh in TDP rule, the monthly pension bill also saw a steep hike from Rs 400 crore during the TDP rule to Rs.1765 crore at present resulting in an annual pension expenditure of Rs 21,180 crore.

He said while the YSRCP government took the total number of rice ration cards to 145, 88,539 by adding 44543 new cards, Aarogyasri cards to 141 48249 by adding 144100 cards afresh and the house site Pattas to 30,29,171by distributing 14531more land sites by implementing various welfare schemes in utmost transparent manner. The TDP chief has been trying to regain his eroding credibility and clout by running false propaganda against the Government with the support of his friendly media.

Jagan mastered in blame game, says Nimmala Rama Naidu

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo member, Nimmala Rama Naidu, on Monday felt that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has mastered the blame game, particularly in murder politics.

Rama Naidu told media persons that Jagan Mohan Reddy blamed TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, for the Tuni train incident and again blamed Chandrababu Naidu for his uncle’s murder. Those who are responsible for the stampede in Guntur resulting in the death of three persons are again passing the buck on Chandrababu, he said.

A Non-Resident Indian (NRI) came forward to help the poor and wanted to distribute the kits through the hands of Chandrababu and the incident took place after he left the venue, he said. Jagan should take the responsibility for the incident, Rama Naidu said. It is the responsibility of the Chief Minister to provide proper security to Chandrababu as a heavy crowd is gathering for his meetings even late in the night, he felt.

Stating that several people died in a number of incidents when Jagan undertook pada yatra as Opposition leader or even after he came to power, Nimmala Rama Naidu said that the Katchuluru boat incident took place only because of the failure of the State government. “A total of 59 persons died in the boat accident,” he pointed out.

The gas leakage in LG Polymers which claimed nine lives and 27 persons succumbed after consuming adulterated liquor at Jangareddygudem all because of the inefficiency of Jagan Mohan Reddy, he stated.

As oxygen was not supplied on time at Ruia Hospital in Tirupati 29 patients died, he said. In several such incidents hundreds of people died in the past four years, Nimmala Rama Naidu felt.

Maintaining that both Kandukur and Guntur incidents took place as enough security was not provided, Rama Naidu said and advised Jagan at least to stop playing such cheap politics from now onwards.

Three women were killed and 13 others injured in the stampede during distribution of Sankranti gifts by the main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The stampede, which happened after TDP President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had left the venue after launching the programme, occured in one of the counters set up for distribution of kits. Some women tried to surge forward. As the barricade collapsed, women fell on each other.

A woman died on the spot while two others succumbed at Government General Hospital.

Home Minister V. Rajini, who visited the hospital, blamed Naidu for the deaths. She alleged that people were losing lives due to his publicity tricks.

This is the second such incident at a TDP programme in less than a week.

Eight persons were killed during Naidu’s road show in Kandukur town of Nellore district on December 28.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had slammed Naidu for the incident and remarked that his craze for publicity cost human lives.

The ruling YSR Congress Party alleged that Naidu is organising road shows and public meetings in narrow lanes to show that large number of people were attending his programmes.

Anam is one of the 40 MLAs who may not get ticket

AP Chief Minister and ruling YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had made up his mind to drop at least 40 sitting MLAs for the 2024 general election. He had given enough indication to these MLAs in the last four months.

Jagan Mohan Reddy held two rounds of meetings with the party MLAs, district unit presidents and the regional coordinators in the past where he named some of the MLAs who were not performing well. He also announced the names of some MLAs who were not taking part in the door-to-door campaign that was started by the party and the state government as well in March 2022.

The chief minister has asked every MLA to visit every house and get feedback. While a good number of MLAs have taken active part in the programme, it was noticed that these MLAs were not showing any interest, despite Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cautions.

Former minister and MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy is said to be one of these 40 non-performing MLAs whom Jagan Mohan Reddy had warned at the party internal meetings.

Ramanarayana Reddy had been inactive for the past some time as he was denied a cabinet berth in the recent reshuffle. Though Ramanarayana Reddy expected a cabinet berth immediately after the 2019 general election, he was disappointed.

Some of the senior leaders along with Ramanarayana Reddy expected that they would be accommodated in the next reshuffle. However, in that too, they could not find a place leading to disappointment.

Ramanarayana Reddy hardly took part in the door-to-door campaign despite repeated warnings from the party leadership. However, this week, he addressed two meetings in his home constituency where he criticised the state government for its failures.

Sources say that Ramanarayana Reddy is likely to switch loyalties to the opposition TDP before the 2024 general elections.
