How JC destroyed TDP’s well laid out plans for Rayalaseema…

0

Has the TDP’s strategy of highlighting the problems of Rayalaseema region backfired? Instead of discussing the problems, especially those pertaining to irrigation and drinking water, the meeting ended up exposing the fissures within the party. More than talking about YSRCP’s failures, the meet discussed the group rivalries in Anantapur.

Anantapur TDP has always suffered from groupism. In Tadpatri, the rivalry between JC family and Prabhakara Chowdary is too well-known. JC’s comments against the leaders within the party have completely diverted the topic. JC Prabhakar Reddy said that some TDP leaders in the district were colluding with the ruling party. JC repeated what he said at the meeting in front of the media. Leaders like Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Payyavula Keshav and others strongly refuted JC Prabhakara Reddy’s comments.

But, the damage is already done. The political circles, especially those in the ruling dispensation, are enjoying the TDP’s discomfiture. The meeting, aimed at putting the YSRCP on the mat, turned out to be a headache for the TDP. The leaders are now talking about the rampant groupism, collusion with the ruling YSRCP and JC Prabhakar Reddy’s statements. Through his fire-spitting comments, JC has helped demolish all the plans of the TDP.

Interestingly, JC has not retracted his statements. Even now, he claims that he would work to make Chandrababu Naidu the CM again. He said he would work for the ordinary workers of the party. As of now, neither Chandrababu nor Lokesh spoke to any of the Anantapur TDP leaders or tried to rein in JC Prabhakar Reddy. Party workers feel that it is about time that the TDP boss intervened in the matter.

Cricket kits case against JC amid rising civic poll heat

1

The battle for the municipal elections in AP has begun picking up momentum. Once again, the focus has shifted on the election violations. The police raided a TDP leader’s house and seized 60 cricket kits. Immediately, a case has been filed against TDP ex MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy for trying to offer inducements to the voters.
The distribution of benefits and cash have become an inseparable part of the elections. In the panchayat elections, the YCP gained an edge by using force to get unanimous results and also win most seats. Given this experience, the TDP, the Jana Sena and other parties are preparing to counter the ruling party game plans.
Amid this, State Election Commissioner Ramesh Kumar has once again begun his tours in the districts to take feedback for the civic polls. This time also, Ramesh is visiting Kadapa among other districts. At every opportunity, the SEC is making it compulsory to visit the Kadapa district obviously because it is the home place of the Chief Minister.
Right from the beginning, the Chief Minister has trargetted Ramesh Kumar by trying to get the elections postponed till after Ramesh Kumar’s retirement. Ramesh faced a tough time to ensure a fair election in the panchayat bodies. Now, the SEC is getting himself busy to ensure a free and fair poll to give a tough time to the YCP leaders in the civic bodies.

Tension in Tadipatri following stone pelting on JC house

0

Tadipatri, the stronghold of the JC family, is witnessing street fights between the YCP and the TDP followers. The stone pelting and attacks with harmful weapons is reported today. It all started after YCP MLA Ketireddy Pedda Reddy and his activists came to JC Prabhakar Reddy’s house and attacked two youths there. Ketireddy was furious over some comments against him coming on social media.
The Ketireddy followers had beaten up JC admirer Dasari Kiran and told him to leave Tadipatri. Otherwise, they threatened to kill him. The YCP followers have also resorted to stone pelting at the JC house. Following this, the JC followers also came onto the road and launched a counter attack.
In the violence that followed, cars and two wheelers belonging to both the groups were damaged. The police also arrived at the scene and launched lathicharge to disperse the warring mobs.
JC Prabhakar Reddy was in his house at the time of this incident. On hearing about the violence, he was coming from Hyderabad. Both the groups were unrelenting despite the police lathicharge.

JC Reddy gets bail but not BC leader Atchannaidu

6

A day after JC Prabhakar Reddy was infected with Coronavirus, he was given bail. The SC, ST sessions court had granted bail to Mr. Reddy considering his health condition. This has come as a big relief to the TDP cadres in Rayalaseema region and especially the JC family admirers and followers. But, at the same time, it remains a painful time since prominent BC leader Atchannaidu has also been infected with the virus while he was in judicial custody.

Atchannaidu’s health condition was not that strong since the beginning. He was arrested in the ESI scam just a few days after he underwent surgery for fissures. As the police took him from place to place, Atchannaidu had to undergo a second surgery. Yet, there was no respite for him considering his vulnerable health. Later, Atchannaidu got the infection. Only after this, he was being given treatment in a private hospital.

The threat of the police and the government harassment was continuing against the Opposition leaders. The TDP has been blaming Jagan Reddy regime for promoting the CM’s own caste leaders. Over 600 nominated posts were given to the Reddy leaders in the past 14 months’ rule. Even in respect of the JC family, the ruling YSRCP was bringing pressure on them to join their party. As they did not shift their loyalties, the YSRCP started targeting them.

Another BC leader Kollu Ravindra’s situation was more pitiable. The TDP says the former Minister was implicated in a murder case and was put in judicial custody for no fault of his.

JC Prabhakar tests Covid +ve in Kadapa jail

Yet another top TDP leader has got Coronavirus infection while in prison. Recently, former Minister K Atchannaidu tested positive and was admitted to Ramesh Hospital in Guntur. Now, former MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy has also tested positive for Covid in Kadapa Central Jail. He is being given treatment along with other jail inmates who got the infection.

As per reports, over 317 prisoners got infected at Kadapa jail. They are being kept in special wards for giving treatment.

Prabhakar Reddy was put in jail for the second time. First, he was remanded in the illegal registration of buses. Now, he was jailed for obstructing an officer on duty.

The JC family became the prime target of the ruling YCP in Rayalaseema. In North Andhra, the Atchannaidu family was being targeted. First, these TDP families were asked to shift their loyalty to the YCP. Lot of political pressure was put on them. Former MP JC Diwakar Reddy even repeatedly said that their businesses were being attacked for not surrendering to the ruling party but they would sail with the TDP only come what may.

The TDP leaders are greatly alarmed how to deal with the vengeful activities of CM Jaganmohan Reddy even during the Coronavirus infections. Especially, their leaders imprisoned in different cases are testing positive one by one. Big questions are arising on the health safety conditions in jails. Bandar BC leader and former minister Kollu Ravindra was also jailed in a murder case and he was jailed in Rajahmundry.

Prabhakar Reddy, Asmith Reddy arrested again, 5 cases booked

1

The joy of Tadipatri former MLA J C Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy was short-lived. A day after the father-son duo were released from judicial remand after the district court granted bail, the police have arrested them again.

Earlier in the day, the police had booked five cases against J C Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy. Cases were booked against Prabhkar Reddy under IPC section 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty), Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 for allegedly using abusive language against the police, 506, 189. The police booked Prabhakar Reddy under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Disaster Management Act and Epidemic Diseases Act for violating Covid-19 regulations.

The police claimed that Prabhakar Reddy and his followers took out a massive rally soon after he was released from the central prison on Thursday after the Anantapur district court granted them bail on Wednesday. The father-son duo were arrested for alleged conversion of BS III into BS-IV vehicles by forging documents. On Thursday, the duo were released on bail.

A number of supporters and TDP leaders gathered outside the prison to welcome them. The father-son duo were going from Kadapa to Tadipatri accompanied by a large number of their followers. Trouble broke out when circle inspector (CI) Devendra Kumar stopped their vehicles at Sajjaladinne area.

Prabhakar Reddy allegedly entered into a heated argument with the CI who is a Dalit. A case under IPC section 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty) was registered against the former MLA. He was also booked under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 for allegedly using abusive language against the police.

Booking Prabhakar Reddy for allegedly violating Covid-19 regulations is a classic case of political vendetta as no case was booked against several YSRCP leaders who had blatantly violated the regulations by taking out rallies and organising large gatherings.

It may be noted that YSRCP MLA Madhusudhan Reddy took out a massive tractor rally to distribute rice to the people in Srikalahasti in violation of Covid-19 regulations, but no case was booked against him. The rally saw a large turnout of the YSRCP MLA’s supporters, a posse of police personnel on bandobast duties, revenue and ward secretariat staff in full attendance.

Another ruling party MLA Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah also led a rally with more than two dozen tractors to distribute the essentials among people in 59 villages, but no case was booked against him.

Similarly, Palamaner MLA Venkat Reddy inaugurated a bridge with about 150 people in his constituency in Chittoor district where the highest number of coronavirus cases have been reported. He did not maintain social distancing. No case was booked against Nagari YSRCP MLA Roja for participating in a borewell inauguration programme with her followers.

JC Prabhakar Reddy, Asmith granted bail

0

The District Court in Anantapur in Wednesday granted bail to former TDP Tadipatri MLA C Prabhakar Reddy and his son who were arrested and sent to judicial remand in connection with the connection with alleged registration of BS-III lorry-trailers as BS-IV vehicles using fake documents at Kohima and later transferring them to Anantapur district with fake no objection certificates (NOCs).

They are currently lodged in Kadapa jail and will be released in Thursday.

Anantapur court had remanded JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy to 14 days judicial custody on June 25 on allegations of cheating the transport department by creating fake documents.

Prabhakar Reddy and Asmith Reddy were arrested in Hyderabad and taken to Anantapur. They were produced before the district court and sent to judicial remand. They were accused of selling BS-III vehicles after registering them in the name of BS-IV using fake documents during the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) regime. About 154 vehicles have been registered in this manner in Nagaland by allegedly creating fake documents.

Former Chief Minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu had condemned the arrest of former legislator JC Prabhakar Reddy. Naidu had called the arrests politics of vendetta.

Lokesh denied permission to visit JC at Kadapa jail

0

TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh called on JC Diwakar Reddy and his family members in Tadipatri town in Anantapur district. He discussed with them about the ruling party harassment by foisting false cases against the JC family. Mr. Lokesh was given permission by the Kadapa Central Jail authorities to meet JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy. Both the leaders were sent there for 14-day judicial remand.

In Tadipatri, Mr. Lokesh flayed Jagan Reddy regime for its total violation of the laws and the rules in order to harass rival leaders and force them to leave the TDP. Prabhakar Reddy and Asmith Reddy were illegally arrested out of just a politically motivated vilification campaign and persecution. The officials have not bothered to take the views of the Ashok Leyland company which has sold the vehicles. It is not correct to defame the JC family who have been in the transport business ever since the 1940s.

Mr. Lokesh asked why Jaganmohan Reddy was not able to provide a good rule even though he got a massive mandate of 151 MLAs. For all wrong reasons, this Government has only focused on demolitions beginning with Praja Vedika and persecuting the TDP leaders with false cases and arrests. Atchannaidu said he was bleeding and needed rest but the ACB officials shifted in a vehicle from Srikakulam to Vijayawada non-stop which caused health risk. What more, the officials even got a certificate to say that the TDP MLA was fit for arrest despite knowing the fact that he underwent surgery a few days ago.

Stating that the BC leaders were coming under targetted attacks, Mr. Lokesh said it was all because of the CM’s frustration over the rising public backlash against his party’s irregularities and massive corruption scams. The persecution was so at a peak level that TDP leaders were not even allowed to go into the courts’ premises. The police cannot put restrictions like this but the YCP government has worsened the whole situation in order to cover its scams, failures and misrule.

Mr. Lokesh challenged the YCP Government and the ACB to make public the reports of the ESIC concerning the so-called huge corruption scam in which Atchannaidu was wrongfully implicated. Atchannaidu only said Telangana Telehealth services model could be followed while the ESIC took all decisions independently. The TDP MLA has no role to play and he cannot be arrested.
