Pawan demands serious action against Kotamreddy

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan asked how YCP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy can come out on bail within two hours of his arrest. Obviously, the government has not taken serious action against the MLA though he made a disturbing attack on the Nellore woman officer. Senani wondered what kind of message CM Jagan is giving to women when an MLA freely moves outside after attacking a government officer.

Pawan has also asked whether there are two kinds of laws being applied in the Jagan Reddy government. YCP leaders may commit any kind of serious offences and go scot-free. But the opposition leaders will be hunted down using the entire police force for no fault of theirs.

Senani made a special mention of the cases being filed against the social media activists of the Jana Sena. The police are showing lot of enthusiasm to arrest rival leaders even without any cases filed against them. But the same police are becoming helpless silent spectators to atrocities being committed by YCP MLAs and leaders.

The Nellore town police booked a case against Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for allegedly assaulting senior journalist N. Dolendra. The case was registered based on a complaint made by the journalist. Dolendra has been Editor of Jameen Rythu weekly which is a long-established popular edition. There has been long-standing personal enmity between the MLA and the editor.

The assault created sensation in political and journalist circles in the state. Dolendra told the visiting journalists and police that the MLA along with his followers forced their way into his house in Magunta Layout residential locality. They first talked indecently and later the MLA himself made the assault followed by his activists.

Dolendra said that there was a woman professor who was witness to the incident. Interestingly, the woman professor is a relative of Kotamreddy. Dolendra has been a highly connected journalist and he is considered an advisor to Nellore MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy. YCP leaders have already issued warnings to him several times as his paper wrote controversial stories against the Jaganmohan Reddy government since the beginning.

Case booked against YSRCP MLA Kotamreddy!

In a twist of the turn of events, a case has been booked against YSRCP MLA Kotamreddy for his involvement in cricket booking, said police sources. Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has been elected to the AP Assembly from Nellore district.

A special investigation report pertaining to Kotamreddy’s involvement in cricket betting has been submitted to AP DGP Malakondayya by Nellore SP Ramakrishna. The AP DGP has transferred the case to ACB along with the investigation report. This isn’t the first time Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy’s name has been heard in the cricket betting cases.

The police managed to find crucial evidence of Kotamreddy meeting famous bookie Krishna Singh in few hotels in Vijayawada. The related CCTV footage, hotel bills, and other preliminary evidence against the MLA has been well documented by the police bosses.

‘During our investigation, we found out that Krishna Singh took asylum under Kotamreddy after a lookout notice was issued against him. Kotamreddy was handed over Rs 23 lakhs via an individual named Vishnuvardhan Reddy after he helped Krishna Singh to surrender in the court’, said a police officer.
With elections in a year, MLA Kotamreddy’s arrest could be a big blow to the YSRCP party in the Nellore district.

Kotamreddy: A leader with ears to the ground

Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, YSRCP MLA from Nellore Rural constituency, is a typical grass-root MLA, who loves to be seen always among the people of his constituency rather staying in the cool comforts of Hyderabad.

During Assembly session, Sridhar makes his presence felt strongly by actively participating in debates, and stoutly defending his boss. Once the Assembly is adjourned, within minutes he hops into his car to gets back to his constituency. Not a single day passes without Reddy attending one developmental program or the other, somewhere in the sprawling constituency. Reddy, a first time MLA, loves to nurse his constituency like typical political leader, whose tribe is on the verge of extinction. Soft personality with loud voice, Sridhar, is a fine politician in the making, and he is known for his honest credentials.

On Monday morning Sridhar participated in simple tri-cycle distribution program to physically challenged people of in the constituency, without making big fuss. While delivering the tricycles to 105 individuals he said this was a beginning, the program continues as many more are in the need. He purchased these tricyles with his money and with a portion being contributed by KLSR Trust and ZP Chairman Bommireddy Raghavendra Reddy.

He assured the physically challenged people assembled there that he would strive to get suitable houses constructed for them.
