It was KCR’s silent campaign for Federal Front: KTR

0

Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been doing a quiet campaign to garner support to his dream mission ‘Federal Front,’ said TRS working president KT Rama Rao.

“KCR is not directly campaigning for any regional party. However, is interacting with heads of all the regional parties from time to time. KCR is sharing his ideas and strategies with the regional parties. Everything he does for making Federal Front a reality for the development of the nation,” said KTR, while ruling out the speculation over why KCR is silent on Federal Front.

The political campaign can be several modes and KCR does his own style of campaign depending upon the situation, maintained KTR.

The TRS working president further stated that Congress and BJP would lose deposits in several Lok Sabha constituencies as people are fed up with stereotype politics of both the national parties.

By sweeping 16 Lok Sabha seats, TRS would play a vital role at the Centre, KTR exerted confidence, while predicting a third place for Congress in five MP seats and lose deposits in four seats in Telangana.

TRS has requested the Election Commission of India (ECI) to conduct ZPTC and MPTC elections before May 23.

“If local body elections are completed in May, then Telangana will have finished all types of elections so that the TRS government can focus only on development for next four-and-half-years without bothering about politics. The TRS government is also working on a new Municipal Act to curb corruption in the government mechanism,” remarked KTR.

Naidu’s doubts on EVMs out of fear of defeat: KTR

2

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working President K. T. Rama Rao on Sunday said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N. Chandrababu Naidu was raising doubts about electronic voting machines (EVMs) out of fear of losing the elections.

Reacting to Naidu leading a campaign along with some other parties against the EVMs, Rao wondered how Naidu, who had won the 2014 elections with EVMs, could now be saying that these can be tampered with.

Angry over the malfunctioning of the EVMs during the April 11 voting in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu has slammed the Election Commission, claiming that the voting machines can be manipulated, and has demanded that the poll body revert to the system of paper ballots.

KTR, as Rama Rao is popularly known, said there was no scope for tampering with the EVMs, and remarked that if this had happened, people would have revolted.

KTR, who is the son of TRS President and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, said Chandrababu Naidu should stop playing “cheap” politics. He said fear had gripped the TDP chief when the Election Commission order the transfer of officials.

The TRS leader said Naidu’s panic clearly showed that he was on his way out.

When asked about the functioning of the Election Commission, the TRS leader said while he had no right to point fingers at the poll body, there was a need for change in its functioning.

He also said that while the smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections in Telangana reflects the governance in the state, the violence and chaos during polling in Andhra Pradesh indicate the quality of governance in the latter.

KTR exuded confidence that TRS would win 16 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, while its ally All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) will retain Hyderabad. He also predicted that BJP and Congress will both lose their deposits in a few constituencies.

He reiterated that a coalition government will be formed at the Centre and the regional parties would play a key role in its formation.

Both NDA, UPA will be short by huge numbers: KTR Interview

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao believes that with 150-170 Lok Sabha seats, non-BJP and non-Congress parties will emerge as the biggest block in Parliament and decide who the next Prime Minister should be.

Rama Rao, who is the number two in Telangana’s ruling party, says that politics is the art of possible and anything is possible post May 23, when the results of the general elections will be announced.

KTR, as he is popularly known, hopes that Federal Front mooted by TRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will take a formal shape after the elections.

The young and suave leader, who is Chandrashekhar Rao’s son, shared his thoughts on various issues during an interview with IANS.

How did he foresee the post-poll scenario in the country?

“We strongly believe neither UPA nor NDA will have clear mandate. There are many non-Congress and non-BJP parties which are very strong. If we are able to create a platform where we all can get together, root for our respective states in more federalistic setup, I think that will augur well for the country because ultimately stronger the states, stronger the country.

“I strongly believe both UPA and NDA will be short by huge numbers. This might sound a bit far-fetched but I would not be surprised if NDA ends up at about 150-160 and UPA ends up at about 100-110. There is lot of room for many possibilities, many permutations and many combinations,” KTR explained.

What he think was the narrative around which elections are being fought?

“The narrative, is, in fact, reflective of the intellectual bankruptcy in the so-called national parties – both BJP and Congress. One party says ‘chowkidar chor hai’ and the other party says ‘mein bhi chowkidhar’. The real issues of this country like health, education, jobs and infrastructure are not being discussed,” KTR replied.

Does he believe the situation has changed after the Pulwama terror attack with attempts to make nationalism and patriotism an issue?

“We are more nationalistic than the BJP or the Congress. When Pulwama happened and Wing Commander Abhinandan was in captivity of Pakistan, our Chief Minister and our entire party suspended all political activity for a week but neither Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi suspended their political engagements. The people of India are wise enough to see through this jingoism which BJP would like to call as nationalism. I definitely see a bit of jingoism in their attitude which is only ephemeral,” KTR maintained.

Did he agree with the view that only national parties can better safeguard the country’s interests?

“This may sound a bit exaggerated, but there are no national parties in the country. There are regional parties and then there are bigger regional parties. Look at the Congress – they are out of power in 20-plus states in the country. The Congress hardly has any presence in 270 seats. Likewise, except Karnataka, the BJP’s presence is minimal or non-existent in other southern states.

“The Centre, nucleus, large figure etc are good to listen but today’s debate is not about Modi versus Rahul. The country has other choices and capable leaders,” KTR explained.

It has been a year since KCR proposed an alternative front but there is hardly anything on ground. How did he see the road ahead?

“Even the UPA came into being only after the 2004 elections so, therefore, it doesn’t take much. Between non-Congress and non-BJP parties if we are able to win 150-170 seats, who knows what might happen? There is a good chance all these parties sitting together can decide who the next Prime Minister should be. It is not out of the realm of possibility.

“When India was shinning, according to NDA in 2003, nobody thought in their wildest dream that Manmohan Singhji will be the Prime Minister for the next 10 years. Likewise, nobody in their wildest dreams thought Narendra Modiji will be prime minister in 2014.

“When somebody today says Modiji will lose and he will not get the numbers, it somewhat sounds impossible because we are creatures of habit. We are habituated for the last five years to seeing Modi as PM. When somebody says he is going to be dislodged, it will take a bit of time for you to absorb and process. Let us see how things pan out,” KTR reasoned.

Do he think as the anchor of Federal Front, KCR will be its leader and a possible PM candidate?

“It’s not about leadership or showmanship. We are talking about statesmanship. We are saying our Chief Minister has given direction to our state, his schemes have been copied by no less person than the Prime Minister. Therefore time has come where we believe he can offer more value in terms of his schemes, his projects, his thoughts which can certainly be put to good use on the national stage. Whether he will be in driver’s seat or he will be in a position to ensure that with our support government comes in something we will have to wait and see until after elections.

“We are confident we will win all seats in Telangana. We will win 16 seats and our friend Asaduddin Owaisi will win Hyderabad. We believe YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh will win anywhere between 15-22 seats. It will not be just three of us as many more will join,” KTR concluded.

KTR changes tone, says triangular fight in Andhra Pradesh

TRS party working president KTR changed his tone and told that it will be triangular fight in Andhra Pradesh. It is known news that he has earlier made comments that Jagan will become chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. But now KTR changed his tone on his earlier comments and that surprised many. Not only on this statement, but he has deviated significantly from couple of more his earlier comments.

KTR’s earlier comments:

It is known news that Janasena fans have earlier supported TRS party in Telangana elections. Especially they played significant role in defeating the rival TDP candidates in constituencies within Hyderabad like Kukatpally, Serilingampally etc. But after Telangana state elections KTR met Jagan and invited him into federal front. Slowly their bond became stronger and TRS leaders stated that they will come to Andhra Pradesh and try to work in favour of Jagan. At that time KTR made couple of comments that didn’t go well with some people in Andhra Pradesh. One comment is that , TRS will definitely interfere in Andhra politics as Chandrababu Naidu interfered in Telangana politics in 2018 assembly elections. Second comment is that, Andhra election result will be in favour of Jagan and he will become next CM of Andhra Pradesh.

KTR’s latest comments:

But in a recent TV interview, KTR significantly deviated from his earlier comments. He told TRS will not interfere in AP politics and it is up to the AP people to exercise their choice. He also added , TRS is busy with the political affairs of Telangana state itself. Another statement that actually caught even more attention is that he now admitted that there is triangular fight in Andhra Pradesh. But he stood by one of his earlier comments that Chandrababu Naidu will not come into power again. But analysts wondered why did KTR suddenly recognised the force of Janasena now.

Why he changed his tone now?:

KTR statements surprised analysts and people also wondering why he changed his statements now. it is known news that Pawan Kalyan made strong appeal to KCR to not interfere in AP political affairs. Later , after joining hands with Mayawati he again made statement that KCR has cheated on the promise of making in Dalit as first CM of Telangana. It seems BSP, that got considerable chunk of votes in 2018 Telangana assembly elections, will be contesting in Telangana parliament elections as well and janasena party may officially support BSP in this elections in Telangana. Pawan Kalyan also has announced candidates for 2 MP constituencies in Telangana . So, the vote bank of janasena and Mayawati may actually change the dynamics of Telangana parliament elections. Even though TRS is ahead of all other parties, the slightest change in the equations may sometimes produce unpredictable results. so KTR clearly gave indications now that he doesn’t want to interfere in AP political affairs.

TRS ahead of rivals as campaigning picking up in Telangana

0

Fresh from its landslide victory in the December 2018 Assembly elections, a confident Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is ahead of its rivals as the campaigning is picking up for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

Though the main contenders are yet to announce their candidates, the ruling party has had a head start with its Working President K.T. Rama Rao addressing a series of preparatory meetings in the parliamentary constituencies over the last four days.

Popularly known as KTR, he addressed meetings of party leaders and workers in seven constituencies. In every constituency, he addressed more than 15,000 workers and made a night halt in few to discuss the poll strategy with party leaders.

TRS, which won 88 seats in 119-member Assembly in the December 7 elections, seems to have an edge over the opposition Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), whose cadres were demoralised by the humiliating defeat.

Entrusted with key responsibility by his father and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, KTR looks determined to achieve his target of 16 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats, leaving Hyderabad for ally Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM).

At every meeting, KTR is explaining what 16 seats would mean to Telangana and the TRS. Predicting that both the NDA and Congress would be in no position to form the government at the Centre, he is urging people to ensure victory of all TRS candidates so that the party can play a crucial role in the formation of the next government at the Centre.

KTR is confident that Chandrashekhar Rao, as leader of the Federal Front comprising TRS and other regional parties, would decide who would be the next Prime Minister. He is promising that the Front would bring a qualitative change in the national politics as both the Congress and BJP have failed to deliver.

Stating that Telangana has already emerged as a model for the entire country with its innovative welfare and development schemes, KTR hopes that the same could be replicated across the country.

KTR is explaining to people how the state would benefit if TRS was in a position to dictate the terms in Delhi. “The state will get the required funds and projects,” he said.

BJP President Amit Shah and Congress President Rahul Gandhi have also addressed a meeting each so far.

While the BJP could win just one seat, Congress, which secured 18 seats in the Assembly elections, lost three MLAs to the ruling party during the last week.

Both the national parties, however, are hoping that the results of Lok Sabha elections will be different as the polls would be fought on national issues.

Shah on Wednesday addressed booth-level workers of his party in Nizamabad and four other constituencies. Trying to lift the sagging morale of the party cadre, he asked them to gear up for giving a tough fight in every constituency.

Highlighting the achievements of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, especially ensuring the country’s security, Shah appealed to the people to give another mandate to the NDA.

Gandhi, who addressed a public meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday, promised minimum income guarantee, women’s reservation and all possible help to farmers to woo the voters. He targeted the TRS chief for what he calls his secret understanding with Modi.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the TRS had bagged 11 seats while Congress had secured two. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), YSR Congress, BJP and MIM had won a seat each.

Later, the TDP and YSR Congress MPs and one MP from Congress defected to the TRS. On the eve of the Assembly polls, one TRS MP crossed over to the Congress.

Is it really data “scam” or just crocodile tears??

1

What was the accusation made? and what was the action taken towards it? Let’s assume that there was indeed a theft of important information pertaining to the people of A.P. Somebody has filed a complaint about it in Hyderabad. Who is at loss because of this? Obviously, it is the people of A.P. In such a situation, a responsible government would have firstly alerted its counterpart about the private companies possessing valuable public information and secondly asked them to take necessary measures. On the contrary, the Telanagana government filed a case in haste, conducted raids and arrested employees of the firms. The data theft by no means has any affect on the Telangana government or its people. Thus ,it can be concluded that the Telangana government’s motive is purely political. It is clearly a ploy of the TRS and YSRCP.

During the Telangana assembly polls, 22 lakh voters lost their votes. What did the TRS do then? It simply made the chief election officer apologise and got away with it. Back then TRS needed the fake vote percentage, hence it stayed mum despite Congress party’s criticism and opposition parties uproar. Now why is it interested in the A.P. voters list and fake votes issue? It is no rocket science. It is crystal clear that TRS and YSRCP are acting together The people of AP are smart enough to comprehend this. Why are the YSRCP chief and TRS working president, KTR over reacting to this situation? Does KTR really love the people of AP? If so, then who should have been alerted about this issue? The government of A.P or Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy? . So called whistle bowler is not even a AP voter or a resident of AP . The answer to this sums up the entire matter.

Chandrababu targetting KCR for sympathy – KTR on data war

0

TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao defended the Telangana police who are probing into the data leakage from IT Grid company. Why is AP CM Chandrababu Naidu so much afraid if he is not guilty? KTR asked. The Telangana police started investigation only based on a complaint that the data of beneficiaries of AP government were passed on to the TDP Seva Mitra App.

KTR said everytime it became a routine for the TDP chief Chandrababu and his son Lokesh to commit blunders and then plead not guilty. There’s no question of handing over the investigation to the AP police since the complaint was against the AP government. KTR said Chandrababu has made it a practice to blame KCR for everything and it’s clearly for getting sympathy from the AP people ahead of elections.
The AP and Telangana governments data war has reached a boiling point. The AP police were not allowed to continue their investigation in Hyderabad. What has the AP police to do in Telangana? asked KTR.

Why TDP Ministers not countering KTR’s anti-CBN remarks?

0

It is well known that TRS is resorting to arm-twisting tactics on TDP leaders who have property in Hyderabad. There are allegations that KCR and KTR are bringing pressure on such TDP leaders to quit that party to join YCP. KTR went to the extent of saying Jagan will become next AP CM. AP Ministers and MLAs did not issue strong counters to KTR. Eventually, Chandrababu and Lokesh had to react strongly to KTR’s statements.

The issue came up in the Cabinet as well. Chandrababu expressed his discomfort over the Ministers not giving strong counter statements to KTR. He even said he had to absorb all the pressure being exerted by the opponents. Naidu suggested to the Ministers and MLAs to start attacking rival parties on the burning issues. If they don’t open up effectively, only the statements of Jagan and KTR will get more and more circulated among the public.

Political heat is picking up as the general elections are approaching. At such a time, the TDP’s arguments have to be taken effectively to the people. Chandrababu has passed instructions to the party leaders to remain alert and counter rival leaders’ statements when necessary without any delay.

Chandrababu will fail both at Delhi and in AP, says KTR

0

TRS Working President K. Taraka Rama Rao made unexpected strong criticism against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. The TRS is unhappy over Naidu accusing KCR of bringing pressure on AP industrialists and realtors in Hyderabad. KTR predicted now that Chandrababu would not come to power in Andhra Pradesh. He mocked at the claims of TDP leaders that Naidu is playing a key role in national level politics.

KTR said in the coming assembly and parliamentary elections in AP, Chandrababu will taste bitter defeat and he will not play any role either in Vijayawada or in Delhi. KTR advised Naidu to focus more on explaining to the people what he had done for the people of AP instead of criticising TRS in the neighbouring state.

The failure of Federal Front at the national level has dealt a severe blow to KCR. On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu has risen to play a crucial role in bringing together anti-BJP parties in Delhi. Naidu’s recent show of strength at AP Bhavan on special status in Delhi also threw a challenge to Modi and KCR. Apparently, KCR and KTR are stepping up their attack on Chandrababu as the elections are drawing near.

Imitation best form of flattery: KTR

0

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Friday reacted to the Centre announcing a direct cash transfer scheme for farmers on the lines of the state’s “Rythu Bandhu” scheme.

Rama Rao, son of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrshekhar Rao, tweeted that he is “glad that the farmers of India are going to be helped by the Rythu Bandhu”, the brainchild of KCR.

While presenting the Interim Budget for 2019-20 in the Lok Sabha earlier in the day, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojna to provide income support to small farmers.

Under this scheme, every farmer owning less than two hectares of land will get Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments.

“The name may have been changed by the NDA government, in spirit it remains the trimmed version of the ‘Rythu Bandhu’. Jai Kisan,” added Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR.

Under the scheme, farmers in Telangana irrespective of their land holding are getting Rs 8,000 per acre annually, at the rate of Rs 4,000 per acre per crop.

Is there Rs 2000 cr election deal between KCR and Jagan?

0

If this is true, no doubt Telangana CM Chandrasekhara Rao shall be more serious to defeat Chandrababu than Jaganmohan Reddy in coming AP election. Till now there are reports KCR will give a return gift to Naidu but there is no definite information about what exactly is this. AP Brahmana Corporation Chairman Vemuri Ananda Surya has finally given a definite figure to this gift. He said KCR is preparing to give Rs. 2,000 crore to Jagan to win AP poll without fail.

There are many indications KCR and KTR are busy making arrangements to extend considerable support to Jagan. Expectedly, this support is going to be more in monetary way than anything else. Former minister and senior TRS leader Talasani Srinivasa Yadav has indicated about their leader KCR’s move to help Jagan in every way possible. The TDP leaders have launched a non-stop attack on Talasani for his anti-TDP comments during his current tour in AP.

Money factor has already become a big topic of discussion in political circles in AP as rival parties are mobilising huge resources from all quarters to outsmart each other. There is a talk money will flow like water in coming AP election as voters in poor sections are the immediate target for this. The TDP leaders also suspect the Modi-Shah duo will play a role behind KCR moving money resources to Jagan.

Ramcharan reponds on political entry comments

0

It is known news that KTR, who was the chief guest at the pre release function of Vinayak Vidheya Rama movie, commented about Ram Charan possibly entering politics in future. When asked about KTR comments, Ram Charan made interesting comments.

Ram Charan has been promoting his upcoming movie Vinaya Vidheya Rama in TV channels and in one of the interviews he was asked to respond on KTR comments. Ram Charan told that KTR appreciated his oratory skills in that function. But, he added, in Tollywood there are many actors who have very good oratory skills but having good oratory skills is not sufficient to enter into political arena. Ram Charan told that, being in politics is responsible position and it needs lot of knowledge and dedication. So, he concluded, there is no chance of him entering into politics in near future.

Ram Charan Vinaya Vidheya Rama is all set to release this pongal and already censored with U/A certificate.

CBN campaign not a reason for TRS victory: KTR

0

TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has disagreed with the statement that Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign has helped TRS win in Telangana election. He said it was just a misconceived notion because the people of Telangana had decided a long time before the election to bring TRS to power once again. It is only possible for TRS to get a landslide victory on a pro-incumbency wave.

KTR’s comments came amid several analysts and TRS leaders also saying that the alliance with TDP had damaged the prospects of the Congress party.

KTR said it would not require TRS to go to AP and do politics there since sitting in Hyderabad, one can do that. He asked whether Chandrababu still wants to put up his party candidates in Lok Sabha segments in Telangana. KTR said the Congress party would find it difficult to get good candidates to contest the parliamentary polls now.

KTR asserted they party will win all the 16 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana in the coming election with the people likely to extend greater support than in the recent assembly election. He said it was up to Prof. Kodandaram to decide whether to continue contesting election or not after the disastrous performance in last election.

CBN’s charges and comments are blessings for TRS: KTR

0

Not a day passes without AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders resorting to heated exchanges these days. Now TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has targetted CBN, saying AP CM is going on making allegations against KCR and TRS leadership from his office in Amaravati capital city as if there is no other work for him. But we should consider all of Chandrababu’s comments and charges as blessings for our TRS party, KTR told his party leaders.

Rubbishing CBN’s accusations, KTR went on to say his father and CM KCR is a very rare kind of leader who has set a new trend in the country’s politics. This is evident from the landslide victory scored by TRS under the leadership of KCR. In the past, Indira Gandhi, NT Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu himself tasted bitter defeats when they went for early polls to test their leadership abilities.

KTR asserted it is a different story in Telangana as KCR provided an outstanding leadership which is evident from how the people gave him a massive victory in 2018 election. This achievement of KCR comes when other leaders bit the dust, leave alone winning early polls. In the coming days, KCR will be making even more efforts to make Telangana as a torch bearer in many things for all other states in the country.

Ministerial aspirants queue up before KTR: De facto CM

0

When KTR will become CM is just a matter of time. But he is clearly the de facto chief minister going by the manner in which the ministerial aspirants are making a beeline before his office. Even those who served in the previous term of KCR are trying to win favour of KTR this time amid rumours that he will be playing greater role in the state politics as KCR will get himself busy on the national stage.

Already, KTR has taken over as the working president of Telangana Rashtra Samiti. The party MLAs and leaders have competed with one another to organise functions to felicitate him for several weeks. Now that the time for forming the Cabinet has come, the TRS leaders have become active and many have begun efforts to get the blessings of KCR.

In the past few days, KCR is busy visiting other states for getting support for his Federal Front which is aimed at bringing together regional parties against the Congress and the BJP. Now that KCR has returned and set about the task for selecting ministers, everybody is watching the moves of KTR more than his father. Party leaders say it is the feedback and decisions of KTR that will play a greater role in Cabinet formation. There is also talk KCR will prefer such a team of ministers who will have a good rapport with KTR this time.

Ram Charan is better speaker than me, he may come into politics: KTR

TRS working president KTR was chief guest at pre-release function of Vinaya Vidheya Ram movie. As everyone knows, he shares good rapport with Ram Charan. While speaking, KTR made some light-hearted comments about Ram Charan and told he may come into politics in future.

Earlier Ram Charan spoke at length about the film, about the artistes and technicians working for this film. But at some point, audience were shouting Pawan’s name and Ram Charan gave a pause to his speech and told them he will definitely speak about Pawan at the end. But with this digression, he forgot his speech and paused a few seconds before coming back to the topic he wanted to speak. However, he later spoke at length about everything he wanted to speak, including about Pawan.

When KTR took over later, he appreciated Ram Charan for his speech. He told, Ram Charan’s speeches are better than their election speeches and then on lighter-vein told, may be Ram Charan also come into politics in future. Through out the speech he called Ram charan as brother and reminded that he attended Dhruva audio function at the same venue earlier. He also told, Ram Charan’s performance in Rangasthalam was outstanding and reminded that, during elections, he used Rangasthalam’s song (Aa gattununtavaa, ee gattununtava) extensively without permission of Ram Charan and Devi Sri Prasad.

Anyway KTR’s presence at audio function delighted mega fans.

KTR to become CM soon: KCR will go to Delhi?

0

Is the stage all set for TRS Working President K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) to become Chief Minister of Telangana? It should be believed so going by the mood in the party and based on the hints given by the newly elected MLAs. Now, Janagama MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy says an efficient and talented leader like KTR should occupy CM chair and this will happen soon because CM K Chandrasekhara Rao is going to play a key role in the national level politics in Delhi.

Yadagiri Reddy has expressed his feelings openly while many of the leaders and MLAs are discussing this issue within the party forums already. The party leaders refer to the KCR’s recent successes and his pivotal role in securing victory for the TRS in the Greater Hyderabad region municipal corporation elections as well.

On his part, KCR repeatedly hinted at his future plans of working for formation of a Federal Front with the regional parties so as to counter both the BJP and the Congress in Delhi politics. At the same time, the newly elected MLAs are leaving impressions everywhere that KTR will serve as the CM while remaining Working President of the party.

The party leaders assert the TRS cadres have full confidence in the leadership of KTR who has proved his leadership abilities in many instances including in the recent electioneering. With the blessings of KCR and as per the wishes of the people of the state, KTR will become CM sooner than later, say TRS MLAs.

Political round-up’2018 : TRS party

0

As we wind down the year 2018, it would be interesting to see how political parties fared in 2018. In this series, we will see how the year 2018 was for major political parties- that Telugu people are interested in.

Let’s begin with TRS. Undoubtedly, 2018 is the most memorable year for TRS as it’s supremo, KCR, was able to steer the party into massive victory in this year crushing the grand-alliance in which almost all other parties are part of. But let’s see the key events of TRS in 2018.

U-turn of TRS during NCM on BJP and doubts on TRS joining NDA in 2019

No confidence on Modi’s cabinet was one of the biggest political events in the country in 2018. Even though NDA passed the hurdle, several issues came to discussion in the house, including special category status to Andhra Pradesh and promises made during bifurcation by GOI. One thing that most political analysts were interested during this motion was to see which party is on which side. TRS, told earlier that they will support the demand of Special category status to AP but at the crucial juncture it didn’t support No confidence motion on Modi cabinet, giving enough doubts to people whether TRS colluded with BJP and whether TRS will join NDA in 2019

Mulling over the idea of Federal front

TRS supremo’s decision to conduct a national conclave with the heads of all ‘like- minded’ regional parties in the country was another key development on the political stage of 2018. KCR’s federal front without BJP and Congress became a topic of debate across the country. KCR’s original intention was to have leaders like Hemath Soren, Mamta, Mayawati, Uddav Thackeray, Kumara Swamy and Stalin in this alliance. However, after Karnataka elections and during Telangana elections, equations changed as many parties thought, without Congress, it is difficult to fight against Modi. At some point the federal front concept completely took backstage, but after Telangana elections, KCR again focused on national politics. We have to wait and see whether federal front will realize or not.

Land sliding victory in 2018 Elections

Thanks to Raithu Bandhu and other such welfare schemes, KCR was able to crush the alliance called Praja Kootami that looked gigantic on paper (read it newspapers and TV channels). KCR’s single handed victory against the grand alliance of Congress, TDP, TJS, CPI proved that- media propaganda, alliances based on vote percentages, and political strategies – can’t dethrone the government if the government provides reasonably good governance to the people.

KTR as ‘Heir apparent’

Another key development in TRS party this year is elevation of KTR as party working president. This is the post Stallin handled in DMK when Karunanidhi was alive. This post sends clear signals to party cadres as well as people that he is the next successor for the party. There have been reports, KCR may focus on national politics in the upcoming days. Now it looks like, it is just a matter of time for KTR’s coronation

Overall:

2018 is obviously the best year for TRS – compared to other parties of Telugu states. TRS winning second time, KCR focusing on national politics and KTR readying for the most coveted position – all shows that 2018 is indeed the most memorable year for TRS.

KTR responds on Lagadapati survey after results

1

KTR today made some interesting comments on Andhra Octopus Lagadapati, who predicted Congress led Praja Kootami would win in 2018 elections in Telangana.

KTR told, Lagadapati survey is just like any other survey that has equal chances of succeeding or failing, but some media over-hyped his survey. He thanked Telangana people for not falling prey to the tactics of Lagadapati. He added, Lagadapati totally lost his credibility among people. He reminded people that earlier, Lagadapati had to leave politics because of them only and now Lagadapati has to leave psephology because of them.

Lagadapati, who revealed his predictions before elections as well as after elections, failed big time this time. None of his predictions like independents winning, Congress leading, possibility of hung assembly, became true. Lagadapati is yet to come before media after the results.
