Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya’s Custody is releasing on May 12th. The Bilingual film marks the debut of Tamil Star Director Venkat Prabhu. And it is the Tamil debut of Chay. The movie is carrying superb buzz and its trailer is out now.
Chay plays a Police constable who goes against the tide despite having so many limitations. He is an underdog but does not mind even stopping a Chief Minister’s convoy. The director did not reveal the story but it looks like an intense actioner.
Arvind Swami comes as a biggest plus with amazing screen presence and in tyrannic character. The confrontation will be very interesting. The action portions and the sound design by Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja are very exciting. There is also a hint of the love track as well with Krithi Shetty.
All in all, Custody seems like an intense actioner. The director already hinted multiple twists in the story. And all of that combined can make it a very good watch.
The mood of the audience is game for such films and so, Chaitanya has an interesting project up his sleeve. Srinivasaa Chitturi bankrolls the movie on a grand scale and it will be a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil.
Naga Chaitanya about the bad phase of the Akkinenis
Akkineni heroes and their fans are left in a tough phase because of the back-to-back debacles. Nagarjuna hasn’t tasted success after Soggade Chinni Nayana and Oopiri which released in the year 2016. Om Namo Venkatesaya, Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Officer, Devadas, Manmadhudu 2, Wild Dog, and The Ghost ended up as disasters. Bangarraju ended up as an average grosser. Naga Chaitanya’s last film Thank You ended up as one of the biggest flops for the actor.
Akhil Akkineni has been struggling for the right success. His recent offering Agent is one of the biggest flops of Telugu cinema. Akkineni fans are left disappointed with the poor performance of the films of their favorite actors. Naga Chaitanya is testing his luck with Custody which is releasing on May 12th. During the media interaction, Chaitanya responded about the bad phase of the Akkinenis.
“We always work hard to give a memorable film for our fans. Giving a good film is a gift for their unconditional love and support. The last few films from us did not work out well. The results were bad. Highs and lows in a career are normal. Everyone will have these and we have to travel with them. The tough phase shall pass very soon. I am very confident on Custody and fans will get the needed result” told Naga Chaitanya.

Naga Chaitanya to work with Shiva Nirvana?
After Samantha –Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kushi, director Shiva Nirvana is all set to direct Naga Chaitanya. Before they worked for a blockbuster Majili and then Shiva Nirvana delivered a dud with Tuck Jagadish. Now he is working for Kushi and sources say that Shiva has narrated an emotional family drama to Naga Chaitanya.
Chay is okay to go ahead with the film and the film is said to be a romantic family drama. Shiva Nirvana is known for making sensible family dramas. For now, he is concentrating on his romantic comedy film Kushi, which is all set to release on September 1st 2023. Naga Chaitanya is done with the shoot of Custody and he is yet to announce his next project. He will take a short summer break before announcing his next project.

Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty have worked together for the second time for Custody, after the super success of Bangarraju. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual has music by Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Rumored couple Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are in news again. They both were spotted together in a famous restaurant in London. Michelin star chef Surender Mohan runs an Indian restaurant in Jamavar in London and he posted a picture with Naga Chaitanya where Sobhita was spotted behind.
This is not the first time the couple got spotted. Earlier, they both were together at a construction house of Naga Chaitanya at Jubilee Hills and they both were spotted at the same hotel where Sobhita was staying at the time of Major movie promotions. Fans are waiting for the couple to make it official. Naga Chaitanya is shooting for Custody and Sobhita has a bunch of films lined up.
Rana and Naga Chaitanya collaborate for Maya Bazaar
Rana is coming up with a new web series and interestingly Naga Chaitanya will be part of it. Rana has his own production house Spirit Media, which launched in September 2022. Rana is looking for fresh talent and trying to produce content.
As per reports, Rana and Naga Chaitanya will jointly produce the Maya Baazar series featuring Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Jhansi, Eesha Rebba, Aditi Myakal, Ravi Varma, Hari Teja, Navdeep, Sunaina, Harika and many other actors.

One song, 7 sets: Naga Chaitanya film ‘Custody’ mounted on grand scale
As many as seven sets have been constructed for the song shoot of Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual project ‘Custody’.
Directed by leading filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, the movie is being filmed in the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The song features lead pair Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty. The film will have its theatrical release on May 12 this year.
Production designer Rajeevan and art director D.Y. Satyanarayana have come together to create the grand sets.
Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja and his son, Yuvan Shankar Raja, have scored the music for the movie and the choreography for the song is by Shekar Master. It is going to be a visual feast to watch this dance number on the big screen.

Naga Chaitanya shelves his Next
Naga Chaitanya is currently in the struggling phase and the actor is looking for a perfect hit. He locked ‘Geetha Govindham’ director Parusuram for a film titled ‘Nageswara Rao’. But the actor was not happy with the final script and asked for changes and in between Chay started working on ‘Custody’. He also completed his shoot for Dhootha.
Parusuram was waiting for Naga Chaitanya from many days. Chay completed his ‘Thank You’, which was a disaster. This made Naga Chaitanya think over the script again. As per sources, Naga Chaitanya is in no mood to work for Nageswara Rao and the movie has been completely called off. Parusuram is still reviving the script and we have to wait whether the director will walk to any other actor or will impress chay by making any changes. Besides, Chay announced a film with Venkat Prabhu.
Divyansha Kaushik about dating Naga Chaitanya
Majili fame actress Divyansha Kaushik interacted with the media as part of her upcoming film Michael promotions. The actress was asked about her first crush and she replied, Naga Chaitanya was her crush. She said he is a genuine person and they never interacted outside work. The actress also said that they both never dated and they never had such kind of space between them.
Divyansha’s next film is Michael which is slated to release on the 3rd of February, starring Sundeep Kishan, Vijay Sethupathi, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Naga Chaitanya condemns the comments of Balakrishna
Nandamuri Balakrishna during the success speech of Veera Simha Reddy made remarks on the Akkinenis. This did not go well with many but there was no one who condemned the statement of Balakrishna. Akkineni Naga Chaitanya who prefers to stay away from controversies responded in style. His statement on the comments of Balakrishna was smooth and straight. He said that disrespecting the pillars of Telugu cinema is degrading ourselves.
“Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao garu, Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and SV Ranga Rao garu’s creative contributions have been the pride and pillars of Telugu cinema. Disrespecting them is degrading ourselves” told the official statement of Naga Chaitanya. The post went viral all over. Balakrishna was trolled badly on social media for his comments for calling Akkineni Thokkineni.

Naga Chaitanya’s ‘NC 22’ unit begins work on intense action sequence
The unit of director Venkat Prabhu’s first Tamil-Telugu bilingual film, featuring Naga Chaitanya in the lead, has now begun the process of shooting an intense action sequence for the film.
Sources close to the unit say that a big set has been erected in Hyderabad to shoot the huge action sequence.
Aravind Swamy has joined the team and the intense action sequence is being supervised by Mahesh Mathew master.
Krithi Shetty, Sarathkumar, and Sampath Raj are also participating in the shoot. The production works of the movie are happening at a brisk pace.

Unit of Naga Chaitanya-starrer ‘NC22’ completes key schedule in Mysuru
The unit of director Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming film, tentatively being referred to as ‘NC 22’ and featuring Telugu star Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in the lead, has just completed an important shooting schedule of the film.
Sources say that during this schedule, key scenes involving Naga Chaitanya were shot. The team completed this schedule in the picturesque locations of Mysuru.
Naga Chaitanya will be seen in a completely different avatar in the movie, believed to be the most expensive film in the career of Akkineni.
Actress Krithi Shetty plays the female lead in this film which has already triggered a huge amount of interest in fans and film buffs for a number of reasons including the fact that this will be Chaitanya’s first Telugu-Tamil bilingual flick.
The film is also being watched by critics with keen interest as it is director Venkat Prabhu’s first Telugu directorial.
