Shariff strongly condemns searches on Narayana’s residence

0

Strongly condemning the searches on the house of former minister and TDP leader, Narayana, former chairman of the State Legislative Council and senior TDP leader, MA Shariff, on Saturday asked did Narayana commit a mistake of continuing with the TDP.

Is Narayana a smuggler to conduct raids on his residence with so many personnel, Shariff said while talking to media persons at the party headquarters here. The former Council chairman felt that these raids clearly reflect that the personal animosity against Narayana has reached its heights and Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is still taking personal revenge on him.

“It is really atrocious that a team of 100 police personnel, led by five DSPs and eight inspectors took part in the raid without the permission of the court,” Shariff remarked. The TDP leader strongly believed that the YSRCP Government is completely degrading all the systems and the ruling party is misusing these systems to harass the leaders of the Opposition parties.

The raids conducted on the residence of Narayana is clear evidence that the YSRCP is misusing its power, and the ruling party is exploiting the systems to create a sort of fear among the leaders of Opposition parties. Narayana, who has risen to this stage from the very bottom level, has become so popular in the State by setting up several educational institutions like schools, engineering and medical colleges and upholding the academic standards, he said.

Narayana always follows certain standards and ethics, Shariff said and asked as to why these raids on his residence are conducted now. He always stood solidly by the TDP and has been encouraging the party cadre, Shariff remarked.

Recalling how raids were conducted earlier on the Narayana educational institutions, Shariff felt that since the ruling party could not prove anything after these raids now resorted to conduct raids on his residence. How searches can be conducted in his residence without proper permission, he asked.

If the officials blindly follow Jagan’s commands, in future they have to pay a very heavy price, Shariff felt and asked whether Narayana is an extremist to conduct raids in such a manner. “Though Jagan knows pretty well that he is losing power soon, he still has not learnt any lesson,” the former Council chairman remarked.

Pointing out that the officials could not find any money or valuables, he asked as to why the cots were damaged and why Narayana’s wife was placed under house-arrest. Shariff said that the chairman of the Minorities Commission who is expected to function beyond any political considerations is dancing to the tunes of the ruling dispensation.

Shariff strongly believed that the TDP-Jana Sena combine is coming to power in another couple of months and all those who are violating the norms under directions from the ruling party leaders will have to pay a very heavy price.

Ex-Minister Narayana arrested by AP police

0

The AP police have arrested former TDP minister P Narayana and his wife Ramadevi in Hyderabad on Tuesday. They are being brought to Andhra Pradesh in their personal vehicle and would be taken to Chittoor.

They were arrested in a case of Class X question paper leakage reported in Chittoor on April 29. The police have already arrested some teachers from the Narayana Group of schools besides some from the government schools. They are accused of taking photos of the question paper from the examination halls and sending them outside using their mobile phones.

After this incident, the government had declared all examination centres in the state as no mobile zones and had directed the teachers and officials not to carry their mobile phones either into the examination halls or the examination centres.

The state government alleged conspiracy by the Narayana Group of Institutions in leaking the question paper after the examination started. Narayana was a minister in the TDP government between 2014 and 2019. He was instrumental as municipal administration minister in land pooling in Amaravati villages for the capital city.

He lost the election from Nellore in 2019 and has been inactive since then. However, with his connections with the opposition TDP, he is accused of conspiring to defame the present YSR Congress government by leaking the question papers.

Ganta tries to foil row over Narayana College by issuing Rs 1lakh fine

Narayana College fine

Intermediate board officials fined Narayana Group of Institutions with Rs 1lakh for running colleges and hostels without valid permits.

Following the series of suicides by students Education Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao visited Narayana group institutions to find out the reasons for suicides and examine the hostels. He conducted inspection of two colleges and hostels in Vishakapatnam on Saturday only to realized that they were running without any permissions.

The minister reportedly gave earful to the Narayana College of management and Intermediate board. The Inter board woke up and fined the college with just one lakh rupees.

His son and actor Ganta Ravi is married to daughter of Minister P Narayana who owns Narayana Group . So, the Minister by visiting institutions owned by his daughter-in-law’s family made a mockery of the education system in the state. Secondly, this attempt is clearly a response to foil the argument that the government failed to respond or take action against Narayana Institutions.

Mr Naidu – Why no action on Narayana?

Student Suicides, Chandrababu on Suicides

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu referring to the recent suicides by students in the state advised parents to stop exerting pressure on their kin on Sunday.

It may be noted that the students who committed suicide belong to the Narayana group of institutions owned by Municipal Minister Administration P Narayana. As the Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Municipal Minister are relatives, for obvious reasons the latter is being shielded.

Even the Chief Minister advising the parents is another attempt to defend the Minister. He also asked the teachers not to pressurise the children for higher marks and ranks. Teachers are merely employees and follow the directions of management. It is evident that the atmosphere in the institutions is not conducive rather increases anxiety level among students.

The TDP supremo needs to brood over the factors creating psychological stress among the students. He said that the state government is streamlining the education system by adopting best practices. Irony dies a thousand deaths when such statements are made. As long as the people who endorse imparting such kind of approach are in the cabinet, education system in the state will remain miserable.

The Chief Minister should avoid questioning as to who encouraged such institutions and let bygones be bygones. While the previous governments allowed these institutions to flourish, Chandrababu is directly promoting such methods by endorsing such owners into his cabinet.

After the worldwide success of ‘Baahubali’ franchise, there is immense curiosity among movie lovers and pressure on director Rajamouli concerning his immediate next project. While everyone seems to be in a hurry, Rajamouli is taking his sweet time in taking a final call. Even though he had offers from top Bollywood production houses including Karan Johar, the ace Telugu film director instead chose to honor his earlier commitments given to Telugu producers.

Going by the latest developments, Rajamouli seems to be planning to fulfill three commitments with his next project. We have previously reported that he had earlier committed a project each with producers DVV Danayya and KL Narayana. Now, instead of doing a separate project for each, he is asking the duo to bankroll his next film together. Well, which producer can deny Rajamouli’s requests/conditions at this phase in his career?

Both Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu in separate interviews confirmed that they would be collaborating for a project in very near future. Yes, Rajamouli hasn’t made an official announcement yet but he has chosen Mahesh as his next film’s hero. And, our sources divulged that he had asked Danayya and KL Narayana to join forces to produce this mega budget film. So, the visionary director has drawn up a perfect plan to fulfill his commitments with Mahesh, Danayya and Narayana with his next film, which is expected to start at the end of 2018.

Going by the value of ‘Brand Rajamouli’, and the budget needed to make his next film, it may anyway take 2-3 producers to pool funds.

Will invoke Land Acquisition Act 2013 in Amaravati, says Minister Narayana

0

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government is now getting ready to invoke the Land Acquisition Act 2013, to acquire the lands from farmers in the capital villages. Following the Hyderabad High Court’s order suspending the land acquisition notification issued last week, the government is now planning to go ahead with the Land Acquisition Act 2013.

Minister for Municipal Administration, P Narayana, who is monitoring the Amaravati plans and development, told media persons that the government would invoke the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement 2013. He said that the High Court had only objected to the AP Land Acquisition Relief and Rehabilitation Rules 2014. He discounted the claims of the YSR Congress that the High Court had ruled against land acquisition in Amaravati.

“Since the court had ruled against the land acquisition under the provisions of AP Land Acquisition Relief and Rehabilitation Rules 2014, we will invoke the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement 2013. The farmers have refused to give their land in land pooling. If we invoke the 2013 Act, I am sure they will come forward and that would end all the problems in land acquisition,” the Minister asserted.
Having taken more than 33,000 acres of land from farmers in pooling for the new capital, the government had issued notification for a few hundreds of acres of land in Penumaka, Undavalli and Bethapudi villages. The capital project could be completed only if these lands are taken from the farmers as they are located at the entry of the capital. The prestigious six lane seed access road too was started from Venkatapalem as the lands from Undavalli and Penumaka are not given to the government yet.
Once the government invokes the provisions of the 2013 Land Acquisition Act then Amaravati project would go smooth, the Minister asserted.

Jolt to Jagan in Nellore district ?

0

Who said municipal minister P Narayana is only an education-businessman and not a politician? The businessman is acquiring political color. He is planning to gain control of the politics in the district from politicians proper. To prove his manipulative skills, Narayana is all set to bring Nallureddy Prasannakumar Reddy back to Telugu Desam Party and present him as a trophy of his triumph in politics to his boss Chandrababu Naidu.

And, of course, also to rein-in Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy. The rise of Narayana in Nellore district stopped Somireddy in his tracks. Somireddy, though a powerful spokesperson of the party, could not get MLC nomination last month. This is the talk in political circles.

Prasannakumar Reddy has sent enough signals to YS Jaganmohan Reddy that can’t continue in the YSRCP for “personal” reasons. First he expressed his inability to meet the expenditure of running the Nellore district party office. His complaint is that head office (read as Jagan) is not sharing the burden of office expenditure. Later he said he had resigned from the post of district president of the party. Later, at the intervention of YS Jaganmohan Reddy he agreed to continue as the president. Exactly one month later, Yesterday, in a press conference in Kota, he reiterated that he had resigned from the post of district party president. He also said this was final. He, however, clarified that he would continue to sail with Jagan.

Who believes it? This is typical of whispers politicians produce before they plan to leave a party. The talk in the YSR Congress is that he is a gone case. His followers say Prasannakumar Reddy is not getting due importance in the party, even MP Mekapati is also ignoring him. But, others are of the opinion that Reddy sees no future for YSRCP in the district, so wants to take a decision about his future much in advance.

Prasannakumar Reddy was originally a TDP MLA. He got elected to Assembly in 2009 as TDP candidate and later switched to Congress under the spell of YSR and then to YSRC aftre YSR death. He resigned from the Assembly and won the subsequent byelection in March 2012 as YSRCP candidate. In 2014 he lost to TDP again. As he is out power and has to bear the expenditure of party activities, he is thinking of coming back to TDP which is in power. In the next three and half year, he could get enough strength to face the 2019 election with the support of ruling party and ministers like Narayana.
