Ex Cop admits that Sridevi’s death has been a planned murder

0

Veteran actress Sridevi left the world in shock with her sudden demise. The whole country mourned her death after she passed away under mysterious circumstances. Though the Dubai cops registered an accidental death, the investigation left no clues after which they confirmed that Sridevi died in the bathtub of her hotel. There have been lot of speculations that her death was planned and it was not an accident. However as time passed, all these speculations have been left behind.

A retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ved Bhushan runs a private investigation agency (PI) in New Delhi and he claims that Sridevi’s murder has been well planned. “It is very easy to force someone to get drowned in a bathtub until the breathing stops and this leaves no evidence too. Sridevi’s murder has been well planned and it is projected as an accidental death” said Ved Bhushan.

Dubai cops released a forensic report that revealed that they found traces of alcohol in Sridevi’s body after which they called it an accidental death. Bhushan said that the forensic report was incomplete as there have been many questions that were not answered. Bhushan is said to have visited the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai, the hotel in which Sridevi resided but he wasn’t allowed to enter the room in which Sridevi stayed.

Bhushan stayed right next to her room and he could recreate the entire episode. He says there are lot of secrets hidden because of which she was killed. Ved Bhushan is still investigating the case and he is confident of cracking the mystery at the earliest. Hope he digs out the real secrets soon.

Sridevi wins Best Actress National Award posthumously

The late Sridevi was on Friday named the Best Actress for her role as a vengeful mother in the Hindi film “Mom”. Her husband and two daughters are overjoyed and said the legacy of the “super actor” will live on.

In the movie, directed by Ravi Udyawar, Sridevi played a mother who sets out to avenge her step-daughter, essayed by Pakistani actress Sajal Ali.

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, jury chairperson for the 65th National Film Awards, told the media that his “Mr. India” actress Sridevi wasn’t chosen for the honour because of his relationship with her but due to her contribution to “Mom”.

Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Jahnvi and Khushi expressed their happiness in a joint statement.

“We are overjoyed to know that the jury has conferred the Best Actor Award to Sridevi for her performance in ‘Mom’. It’s a very special moment for all of us,” they said.

“She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all the 300 plus films she did. She was not just a super actor, but a super wife and a super mother.

“It’s time to celebrate her life and her achievements. She is not with us today but her legacy will always live on,” the statement read.

Sridevi died in February in a Dubai hotel, leaving the film industry, her family and legions of fans in a state of shock.

Her role in “Mom” was close to Sridevi’s heart.

In an interview to IANS, Sridevi had said she was proud to be a part of a film which brought about social consciousness.

She was especially happy that the movie had made parents more conscious about sending their children to parties at farmhouses and made several girls become more careful about the car they sit in to return home late at night.

“People reacted very well and I felt good about it,” she had said.

I will always regret not approaching Sridevi: Hansal Mehta

0

Hansal Mehta will live with a regret of not approaching late Bollywood actress Sridevi for a film he had in his mind. But the filmmaker is determined to make a movie on her, and says he might approach actress Vidya Balan for the project.

The news of Sridevi’s sudden demise last month left everyone shocked. Mehta took to Twitter to share his grief, with the post: “There will never be another Sridevi. I was about to approach her for a film. That film will now be dedicated to her. If it finds an actor.”

Prodded about the project, Mehta told IANS: “I will always regret that I didn’t approach her and could not make a movie with her. But I will make a film on her.”

From her surreal beauty to her charming smile to her perfect dance moves, Sridevi — who began acting as a profession at the age of four — was known for her ability to slip into myriad roles.

Be it her double role in “ChaalBaaz”, as a woman with retrograde amnesia in “Sadma”, a shape-shifting woman in “Nagina”, a crime journalist in “Mr. India”, a mother who wants acceptance from her daughter in “English Vinglish”, or the revengeful mother in “Mom” — Sridevi got into any character with much ease.

Mehta got a little introspective as he got talking about the project, divulging that the film may just be based on a book. But he refused to give out any more information.

“It will be made,” he assured, adding: “There are actors (who I have in my mind). I might approach Vidya Balan. I will make the film,” he reiterated emphatically.

At the moment, Mehta is looking forward to “Omerta” — his next project with actor Rajkummar Rao. Through the film, he traces the life of British-Pakistani terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh.

The film is shot in real locations across London and India while recreating Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Known for intense dramas like “Shahid” and “Aligarh”, Mehta said: “We make the films because we want to challenge ourselves. We choose stories which are challenging… That is the joy of making the film.”

With “Omerta”, he wants to “provoke a thought”.

“My intention is not to disturb people… my intention is to provoke a thought. My intention is to let you have your own emotions, your questions after watching the film.

“This film has a variety of meanings for different people. For some, it is a thriller, for some it can be very cool. At a festival, women were swooning over Raj. They loved his evil act. They thought it was cool.

“In Toronto, there were angry people, people were numb, people who were very upset. All these reactions are a result of the film depicting a certain truth,” Mehta said.

Presented by Swiss Entertainment and Karma Media, and produced by Nahid Khan, the film is releasing on April 20.

As it nears its release date, Mehta is anxious about how the Indian audience will react to the film.

“I am actually very anxious. I want the people to watch the film. It is an important film. It is a complete anti-hero film. There is an antagonist who is unapologetic and unsympathetic. He is your principal character and to have that kind of principal character as your main lead and make a thriller…I am interested to see how the audience will respond to this anti-hero,” he said.

Boney Kapoor Opened Up About Sridevi’s Last Moments

Film trade analyst Komal Nahta has claimed that Bollywood diva Sridevi’s filmmaker husband Boney Kapoor has opened up to him about his final meeting with his wife, a surprise that turned into a tragedy.

Sridevi, 54, passed away on February 24 in her Dubai hotel room due to accidental drowning following loss of consciousness.

Mr Nahta in his blog said Boney Kapoor wanted to surprise Sridevi who had decided to spend a couple of days in Dubai to shop for daughter Janhvi after the wedding of nephew, actor Mohit Marwah, in Ras Al-Khaimah on February 20.

He said the 62-year-old producer had a meeting to attend in Lucknow on February 22, which he did. On the same day Sridevi, spent time with her friend, chatting and relaxing in her hotel room.

“On 24th morning, I spoke to her,” Mr Nahta quoted Boney Kapoor as telling him.

The producer said Sridevi had told him, “Papa (that’s how Sridevi addressed Boney), I’m missing you.”

Boney Kapoor, however, didn’t tell her that he would be joining her in Dubai in the evening.

“Boney recounted that there had been only two occasions in the last 24 years when they had not travelled together abroad when Sridevi had travelled alone on two brief foreign trips one to New Jersey and the other to Vancouver for two appearances…,” Mr Nahta wrote.

The filmmaker took a 3:30 p.m flight to Dubai and reached the Dubai hotel around 6.20 p.m (Dubai time).

Mr Nahta said, “Boney opened the door of Sridevi’s room with his duplicate key. ‘But she told me, she had a hunch that I would come to Dubai to fetch her,’ Boney recalled. The couple hugged, kissed and chatted for almost half an hour.”

According to Mr Nahta, Boney Kapoor suggested, the two go for a romantic dinner and requested Sridevi to postpone the shopping to the following day.

The actor, 54, then decided to go for a bath and get ready for the dinner.

“I went to the living room while Sridevi went to the master bathroom to bathe and get ready,” Nahta quoted Boney as telling him.

The trade analyst said Boney Kapoor watched TV for around 15-20 minutes but started getting restless “because he was aware that being a Saturday, there would be a rush in the restaurants. It was around 8 p.m. then.”

“He made shout out to Sridevi from the living room but when he did not get any response he knocked at the bathroom door and even called out to her”.

“The unsuspecting husband, hearing the tap inside on, then called out ‘Jaan, Jaan’ still louder but got no reply, which was unusual. He panicked and opened the door which had not been bolted from inside, nervous but yet not at all prepared for what he was going to see. The tub was full of water and Sridevi was immersed completely, from head to toe, inside the tub. Devastated, he reached out to her but watching her motionless, he feared the worst,” Mr Nahta added.

“… The mystery will remain unsolved. But that was not of much relevance to her near and dear ones. What mattered the most was this: Sridevi, the vivacious, beautiful and talented heartthrob of millions, had become late Sridevi,” he concluded.
