Icon Star Allu Arjun is shooting for Pushpa 2: The Rule and the film is slated for December 6th release. Sukumar is the director and Mythri Movie Makers are the producers of this pan-Indian attempt. With all the actors lining up a number of films, Allu Arjun is yet to announce his next. His talks with Atlee went well till the successful director demanded big remuneration. Atlee is now working for Salman Khan’s project and the shoot starts next year. Allu Arjun was also in talks with Jailer fame Nelson and the commitment is on. But Nelson can only work with Allu Arjun after he completes Jailer 2 which is in the pipeline. He is busy with the pre-production work of Jailer 2 and the shoot starts next year.

Allu Arjun met several top Bollywood directors and producers but he is not convinced with the narrations and developments. Sukumar and Allu Arjun will work on Pushpa 3 but the film will not happen soon. Sukumar will take a break and he will direct Ram Charan’s film next. Pushpa 3 will happen only after two years and the film’s fate will also depend on the result of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Allu Arjun is in talks with Trivikram and the film is said to be planned on a bigger scale and it will have a pan-Indian release. Trivikram has to narrate the final script and the discussions are on for now. Allu Arjun has no options left except Trivikram for now. We have to wait to see if he goes ahead with Trivikram or announce any other director’s name for his next film.

Trivikram and his team donates for Flood Victims

The ongoing flood situation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has been worse and the Chief Ministers of both the states are in action and they are closely monitoring the relief activities. Tollywood celebrities responded on a faster note and they are making big donations for the Chief Minister Relief Fund for AP and Telangana. Trivikram along with his producers S Radha Krishna and S Naga Vamsi have donated Rs 50 lakhs for the relief activities. Rs 25 lakhs is donated to AP Chief Minister Relief Fund and Rs 25 lakhs is donated for the Telangana Chief Minister Relief Fund. Young and successful actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda has donated Rs 15 lakhs each for the Telugu states.

This morning, top actor NTR donated Rs 1 crore for the flood victims of both the states. Vishwak Sen has donated Rs 5 lakhs each and Vyjayanthi Movies has donated Rs 25 lakhs for the AP Chief Minister Relief Fund. Several top actors are expected to make donations soon for the relief activities of the flood victims. The situations are slowly returning to normal as the rains have slowed down across the Telugu states.

The film gained negative talk right from the first premiere show and it was Mahesh Babu who carried this badly written mass entertainer. Trivikram is directly trolled across social media circles for his lazy and outdated writing. Everyone wonders how Trivikram wrote so badly for Guntur Kaaram as he worked on the script for almost three years.

Even his benchmark dialogues went missing in Guntur Kaaram. Mahesh Babu is the only saviour of Guntur Kaaram and Thaman’s music too was not impressive. Trivikram is completely responsible for the poor response of Guntur Kaaram. Though the film performed better than Agnyaathavaasi, Trivikram’s writing work looked similar. The basic plot too was inspired from various Telugu films. One wonders if Trivikram is not spending ample time on the scriptwork as he is involved in various projects for stars of Telugu cinema. He is also supervising the products produced by Sithara Entertainments. He has to wake up soon before the stars miss him.

Guntur Kaaram has taken an average opening in the Telugu States with a distributor share of 31.2 Cr. This is the highest opening ever for a Mahesh Starrer. The numbers for the film are actually disappointing considering the expectations from the trade for this combo. From the morning shows itself the film started with average occupancies and there was a drop in matinees. Evening and night shows have compensated a bit. The film has started with below-par occupancies for Day2 Noon Shows.

Superstar Mahesh Babu and top director Trivikram are teaming up for the third time with Guntur Kaaram. This mass actioner is high on expectations. Happening beauties Sree Leela and Meenakshi Chaudhary are the leading ladies and Thaman is the music director. Guntur Kaaram also has a strong emotional drama and Ramya Krishna, and Prakash Raj played other important roles. Haarika and Hassine Creations are the producers of this big-budget attempt. The film is heading for a record release all over and here is the review of Guntur Kaaram

Story:

Vasundhara, portrayed by Ramya Krishna, is a minister and the daughter of Vyra Venkata Swamy (Prakash Raj) . She divorces Satyam (Jayaram) and marries Rao Ramesh. She keeps elder son Ramana (Maheshbabu ) away from the family. Venkata Swamy and his associates attempt to coerce Ramana into signing a declaration renouncing any claims to the family inheritance. The plot unfolds around Ramana’s strategies to counter these tactics and explores the possibility of a reconciliation between mother and son.

Analysis :
Guntur Kaaram takes off as a family story contrary to top heroes’ commercial films. That is a good sign but that evaporates as soon as the film progresses. In the first half the director banks on Mahesh’s characterization heavily and the film is somewhat entertaining. The second half is shallow and disappointing This film is Trivikram’s poor work after Agnathavaasi.

Verdict :

“Guntur Kaaram” is a mediocre movie overall. The aspects that give it some appeal are Mahesh Babu’s portrayal, his dialogue delivery, and his dance. which managed to rescue the film to a degree. However, the second half of the movie is dull and negates the somewhat positive impact of the first half. Trivikram’s distinctive style is noticeably absent in this film. Additionally, in terms of production value, this film is notably the least expensive among Mahesh Babu’s films.

Trivikram penned the scripts of Nuvvu Naku Nachaav and Malleswari featuring Venkatesh in the past. Trivikram locked the final script recently and Nani is the other lead actor in this family entertainer. The film is now in the last leg of shoot and there are rumors that Mahesh Babu is unhappy with the last song that is in shooting mode. S Naga Vamsi was quick to respond and he updated about the songs and the shoot of Guntur Kaaram.

“Dear, Super Fans and Movie-lovers, #GunturKaaram film has 4 full songs and one bit song. We have finished shooting for 3 songs and one bit song. We are going to shoot for the last song from 21st December as per our Schedule. The recent “news” is fake and very monotonous “gossip”. Gossip mongers need your attention and they’re spreading all sorts of fake news just for clicks. They know for which you would react. Just because we’re quiet doesn’t mean whatever they’re spreading is right!” posted Vamsi on his Twitter page.

Guntur Kaaram has Sree Leela and Meenakshi Chaudhary playing the heroines and Thaman is the music composer. Produced by Haarika and Hassine Creations, Guntur Kaaram is announced for January 12th, 2024 release.
