Samantha is said to fly to USA for the medical treatment of Myositis and she is expected to return back after six months. Samantha will also promote Kushi featuring Vijay Deverakonda. Actress Samantha Prabhu, who received positive response for her work in the OTT series ‘The Family Man 2’ and made the nation go gaga over her moves in the song ‘Oo Antava’, has been invited by the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne as one of the key guests for their 2022 festival, which is set to flag off on August 12.

The festival is returning physically after two years, thanks to the pandemic restrictions.

Commenting on the development, Samantha said: “Last year, even though I was a part of IFFM virtually, I could feel the energy and vibe because of the enthusiasm of all the participants. With the world opening up and given the opportunity to travel to Australia to be part of it in person, to experience that energy first hand, is something I’m looking forward to.”

The actress will meet her fans in the capital city of the Victorian State in Australia during the course of the fest. She will also deliver a special in conversation chat with a live audience, speaking of her career and trajectory on August 13.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s stylist, Preetham Jukalkar, has been receiving death threats allegedly from her estranged husband Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s supporters on YouTube as a result of a rumour circulating about him and the Tollywood actress.

The separated couple had requested in social media posts that they be allowed some privacy after they went public with their decision, but that hasn’t stopped Jukalkar from facing negativity from Naga Chaitanya’s fans.

To scotch the rumours, Samantha had earlier taken to social media pages to put up an emotional post. She said: “They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist, and now that I have had abortions.”

Samantha added feistily: “A divorce is an extremely painful process. Let [me be] alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me.”

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has shared a post slamming the society for setting different standards for men and women on social media.

The south star quoted author Farida D on her Instagram Story days after split with Naga Chaitanya. She wrote “Good morning” over the post.

The quote read: “If matters are constantly morally questionable when done by women, but not even morally questioned when done by men – then we, as a society, fundamentally have no morals. – Farida D.”

The actress posted her first picture on social media on Thursday since her split with Naga Chaitanya.

Samantha had written an Instagram post that she and Chay had decided to separate on October 2.

She wrote: “To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.

“We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”
