Hero Sree Vishnu has been doing back-to-back movies and curiously he’s making sure to pick distinctive subjects. His last Alluri was a fictional cop biopic. Meanwhile, his new film has been announced officially today. The film’s opening has also been held today.
It marks the theatre debut of director Ram Abbaraju who made a Covid based film Vivaha Bojanambu released during the pandemic. The director proved that he has special skills in dealing the comedy. The new movie with Sree Vishnu is also going to be an out and out entertainer laced with family emotions.
Anil Sunkara presents, whereas Razesh Danda will produce the movie on Hasya Movies, in partnership with AK Entertainments banner. Gopi Sundar and Raam Reddy will look after music and camera departments respectively.
After a dull weekend, all the new releases fell flat. Three films Krishna Vrinda Vihari, Alluri and Dongalunnaru Jagratha are hitting the screens this Friday. The makers of Krishna Vrinda Vihari and Alluri are promoting the film aggressively. The promotions are quite low for Dongalunnaru Jagratha. Krishna Vrinda Vihari has Naga Shaurya in the lead role and the film is a romantic entertainer. Alluri is an action-packed entertainer that has Sree Vishnu playing the role of a cop. Dongalunnaru Jagratha is a thriller and is a Korean remake that has Sri Simha in the lead role.
All these three films are carrying decent expectations and are of different genres. All these three films will have a decent release across the Telugu states. Naga Shaurya and Sree Vishnu are waiting for success and these films are crucial for the actors. Keeravani’s son too will have to make his impact with Dongalunnaru Jagratha.
Young actor Sree Vishnu who has been busy with several films has been hospitalized today. The actor has been suffering from viral fever for the past few days. With his platelet count coming down, Sree Vishnu was admitted to the hospital today. His recent film Bhala Thandanana ended up as a disaster and Sree Vishnu is done with the shoot of Alluri. The actor will start promoting the film soon. Sree Vishnu also has a series of films lined up and he will start shooting for his next after the release of Alluri.
We have seen many cop dramas, but Sree Vishnu’s Alluri directed by Pradeep Varma under the production of Bekkem Venugopal’s Lucky Media is definately different from all of them. The movie is a fictional biopic of a honest police officer. After the impactful first look poster, the film’s teaser is unleashed.
As the teaser suggests, Sree Vishnu takes charge as Sub Inspector Of Police who cares nobody when it comes to duty. He makes criminals in the town to flee away and has his own style in tackling with the naxalites who have the rivalry with the police. Every sequence in the teaser gives rise to Sree Vishnu’s charcter.
The teaser, overall, packs a punch with Sree Vishnu’s manly look, powerful performance, intense dialogues, brilliant taking and superb re-recording work. The video certainly hikes the prospects on the movie.
Kayadu Lohar is Sree Vishnu’s ladylove in the movie which is in the last stage of production.
Sree Vishnu, who is renowned for choosing original scripts, is now ready to dazzle audiences with his next movie titled ‘Alluri’. The first look poster for the movie was released on Friday by the makers.
“Another name for honesty- Alluri”, the makers wrote, as they shared an interesting poster from the Sree Vishnu- starrer.
In the poster, Sree Vishnu appears to be a dynamic police officer, with a well-built body and stunning looks. With the first look poster, the actor leaves a lasting impression, as his makeover for the role is obvious.
It is also reported that ‘Alluri’ is nearing its completion, except for a song. The movie will soon be wrapped up, gearing up to enter the post-production phase.
According to writer and director Pradeep Varma, he wanted to use this movie to depict the brilliance of police officers.
The movie, which is produced by Bekkem Venugopal, features music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. The female lead is played by Kayadu Lohar.
Key roles will be played by Suman, Tanikella Bharani, Madhusudhan Rao, Raja Ravindra, Pramodini, Prudhvi Raj, and others.
Chaitanya Dantuluri impressed the audience with his debut film Baanam. His second film Basanti failed to make an impact and he is now testing his luck with his third directorial Bhala Thandanana that has Sree Vishnu and Catherine Tresa in the lead roles. The promotional content looked impressive. Sai Korrapati’s Vaarahi Chalana Chitram produced Bhala Thandanana and the film released today. Here is the review of Bhala Thandanana:
Story:
Bhala Thandanana is the story of Sasirekha (Catherine) who works as an investigative journalist. Chandrasekhar (Sree Vishnu) who works in an orphanage falls in love with her. A series of murders take place in the city and Sasirekha steps in to investigate the murder cases. In this process, Chandrasekhar reveals crucial things about the murders. The rest of Bhala Thandanana is all about the murders and how Chandrasekhar is related to the Rs 2000 crores scam. Watch Bhala Thandanana to know about the twists.
Analysis:
The film starts on an interesting note with a kidnap drama. The director takes more than half an hour to introduce the lives and the stories of the lead actor and the actress. The film picks pace after Sasirekha starts investigating the murders in the city. The interval twist and Chandu’s kidnap episode will thrill the audience. The film takes a different turn before the interval. The first half of Bhala Thandanana is decent with some interesting twists.
The entire second half of Bhala Thandanana is focused on the Rs 2000 crores scam. The money gets robbed from the ruthless Anand Bali and two groups stage hunt for the money. The story is interesting but the flat narration makes the second half fall flat. The unwanted humour makes the major plot deviate. The songs are the major barrier for Bhala Thandanana. The film loses the heat by the time it reaches the climax and it ends on a disappointing note. The makers also announced a sequel for Bhala Thandanana.
Performance:
Sree Vishnu has never failed as an actor in his career though his films misfired. He was quite impressive in the role of Chandu who is innocent and exhibits a different shade in the second half. Catherine Tresa looked perfect in the role of an investigative journalist. Her dubbing was not up to the mark. Garuda Ram was good in the role of Anand Bali. Posani Krishna Murali did a decent job. Satya and Srinivas Reddy generated enough smiles and all the other actors did their parts well.
Chaitanya should have worked well in the second half of the script. The screenplay and dialogues are not up to the mark. The technical aspects are good enough. Manisharma’s music is good and the cinematography work is impressive. Bhala Thandanana is made by adding a lot of commercial aspects which turned out to be a misfire for the film. The production values are good enough.
Final Word:
Bhala Thandanana has some gripping episodes but the unwanted humor and the love story spoils the essence of the film. Sree Vishnu and Catherine shine in their roles.
Chaitanya Dantuluri directed films like Baanam and Basanti in the past. His third directorial is titled Bhala Thandanana, an action thriller that features Sree Vishnu and Catherine Tresa in the lead roles. Catherine plays an investigative journalist and the trailer reveals that Bhala Thandanana has interesting twists. Posani Krishna Murali and Garuda Ram will be seen in other prominent roles in Bhala Thandanana.
Renowned technicians like Manisharma, Marthand K Venkatesh and Srikanth Vissa worked for the film. Bhala Thandanana will head for a clash with Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam and Jayamma Panchayati. All these three films will release on May 6th in theatres.
Hero Sree Vishnu has been in desperate need of a success. The actor will next be seen in an action entertainer Bhala Thandanana directed by Chaitanya Dantuluri. Meanwhile, the film’s release date has been locked. The makers have announced to release the movie on April 30th.
The summer will witness many big-ticket movies hitting the screens. However, the makers of Bhala Thandanana seems to be pretty confident about their movie doing well, despite heavy competition.
Catherine Tresa has played Sree Vishnu’s love interest in the movie produced by Sai Korrapati under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. The makers will launch vigorous promotional campaign, as the release date is not far away.
Actor Nani took to his social media handles to release the teaser of Sree Vishnu’s upcoming political thriller titled ‘Bhala Thandanana’.
“Happy to launch the teaser of #BhalaThandhanana A very talented team 🙂 Wish you guys a huge success,” the ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ actor wrote, as he shared the ‘Bhala Thandanana’ teaser.
The ‘Bhala Thandanana’ teaser features Sree Vishnu in a boy-next-door avatar, while he showcases his other side of a revolutionary young man who goes against a corrupt political leader.
Directed by Chaitanya Dantuluri, the teaser gives a glimpse into the interesting political thriller that is up for release in the coming days.
As it seems to be a story that revolves around hawala scams, it is expected to be a good thriller. The BGM by Maestro Manisharma is so much in sync with the teaser’s narrative, while Sree Vishnu’s role as a crime reporter creates much anticipation.
Actress Catherine Tressa is also seen as a reporter, as she is introduced in the teaser of ‘Bhala Thandanana’. While ‘KGF’ fame Ramachandra Raju has played the villain in this movie, actors Srinivas Reddy, Adarsh Balakrishna, Satya, Posani Krishna Murali, and others have played key roles.
‘Bhala Thandanana’ is produced by Rajani Korrapati under Vaaraahi Chala Chitram. The movie is slated for a February 2022 release.
Situated with a backdrop of a small village in Godavari district, Arjuna Phalguna is the story of Arjun (Sree Vishnu), an unemployed youth who rushes to always help his friends. This nature of his lands him in trouble with the police as he and his friends plan to smuggle Ganja from Araku. The movie shows Arjun and his friends’ antics are try to escape the police and make money.
Analysis
The movie opens with an interesting premise explaining the meaning behind the title ‘Arjuna Phalguna’. Typically, movies with rural backdrop are filled with native jokes in the first half. The director attempted the routine formula with village youth-based comedy, but this failed to generate any laughs. The team got it right with the nativity and the slang. The movie’s core point with regards with helping Arjun’s friend repay the family debt is boring. Sree Vishnu who is usually cast in urban based roles is seen in a village role with a mass characterization. The movie shifts to a crime thriller genre with the friends group taking up the Ganga smuggling contract. For a few minutes the movie picks up pace, but it doesn’t take the director much time to prove that he cannot deal with the crime thriller genre either. Pre climax, climax portions are of CI Subbaraju’s visit to the village – a silly thread to end 2 hours 5 minutes of a poorly made film. . ‘Godari valle sandamama ‘ song is good. Music director Priyadarshan did a good job for this song, lyrics are good as well.
The production values are mediocre. Individually Sree Vishnu, production house Matinee Entertainments are renowned for their good taste in choosing their films. This film is surprisingly bad choice for them. Director Teja Marni fails to make impression of any sort. The support cast is adequate. Sivaji Raja as hero’s father, V.K.Naresh as village karanam are right picks. Heroine Amrita Ayyar is not appealing.
Positives
Sree Vishnu
Godari Valle Sandamama song
Negatives

Verdict

Every journey in our life makes us move forward but some journeys make our lives upside down and the same is portrayed through the teaser. Abhimanyudu who enters Padmavyuham couldn’t escape, as he didn’t know how to come out of it. However, Arjuna is the only person who knows everything about Padmavyuham. Sree Vishnu in Arjuna Phalguna is Arjuna in Kurukshetram who knows how to deal with tough situations.
Dialogues and visuals of Arjuna Phalguna are highly intriguing. In fact, Sree Vishnu introduces himself as Arjuna who’s stuck in a big problem. But he knows all his strengths like Arjuna who can deal any situation.
Sree Vishnu’s close bonding with his friends, his romantic track with Amritha Aiyer and action side of the movie are shown in the teaser. However, it doesn’t disclose the storyline.
As the teaser suggests, Arjuna Phalguna is going to be another intriguing film from Matinee Entertainment. Sree Vishnu impresses in an intense role, while technically the teaser looks brilliant. Analysis:
Several young directors have been picking up interesting scripts and they are thrilling the audience with their new-age narration. Sree Vishnu supporting such new attempts is truly a good sign for Telugu cinema. Raja Raja Chora’s director Hasith Goli worked hard on the script and his screenplay, direction will impress the audience though there are minor flaws. Raja Raja Chora has inspiration from the story of Valmiki who is a thief. The director relies much on intellectual sensibilities to narrate the story of Raja Raja Chora which may not appeal to every section of the audience.
Raja Raja Chora is loaded with enough fun and a strong emotional drama. The initial portions of the film are used to establish the characters and they are slow-paced. The first half has nothing much to offer except some sensible entertainment. The interval bang comes as a huge surprise for the audience The first half keeps good expectations on the second half of the film.
The second half of Raja Raja Chora is slow-paced and emotional. The second half of the film relies much on drama and emotional episodes. The climax episodes are never attempted before and they look new. Some of the episodes are dragged as the director wanted to justify each and every role in the film and relate the threads. Raja Raja Chora starts on a funny note and it ends on an emotional note with several boring episodes throughout the second half. The director should have narrated the second half too on a light-hearted note for a better result.
Performances:
Sree Vishnu is magical throughout the film and he is the major USP of the film. He shines with his quirky one-liners and looks perfect in the emotional episodes. He steals the show as a lover boy and as a family man in Raja Raja Chora. Megha Akash is cute and beautiful. Her role was well designed and the chemistry between Sree Vishnu, Megha Akash looks good. The cinematography work is good and it supports the mood of Raja Raja Chora. The editing in the second half should have been better. The production values are good and debutant Hasith Goli is decent.
