Jagan may raise Amaravati issue with Modi

2

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday at around 10.40 am.

Jagan had left for New Delhi along with a team of MPs and ministers to meet central ministers, including Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

The Chief Minister is likely to discuss with the PM the current political situation in Andhra Pradesh and also appeal to Modi for an early release of central funds that are due to the state. Jagan will seek the pending 14th Finance Commission grants for local bodies amounting to Rs 2,253 crore, GST compensation dues of Rs 3,622 crore, Polavaram dues of Rs 4,006 crore among others. Jagan is likely to request the PM to order a CBI probe investigation into the alleged Amaravati land and Fibernet scandals and the recent Antarvedi chariot fire incident. The Chief Minister is likely to discuss with the PM about various pending projects and seek the central government support in execution of the projects. Most importantly, the CM is likely to apprise Modi on the three capitals issue, the shifting of capital from Amaravati to Vizag.

Jagan is likely to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman to appeal for early release of central funds that are due to the state.

After meeting the PM, Jagan will be attending the Apex Council meeting with Gajendra Singh Shekhawat via video-conference from Delhi. Jagan had instructed the water department officials and respective ministries to fiercely argue in favour of Andhra Pradesh over the water-sharing dispute with Telangana. Jagan is accompanied by top officials from the Water Resources department to present the government’s arguments on water sharing with Telangana. The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to push for notification of the jurisdiction of the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB)and Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) in the second Apex Council meeting so that operational control of all projects will be under the boards’ control.

Telangana Chief Minister last week had written to Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat accusing the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) constituted for water sharing between the two states of being biased against Telangana and favouring Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana government is opposing AP’s move to expand the capacity Pothireddypadu head regulator on the Srisailam reservoir to draw 80,000 cusecs of water from the Krishna river to Pennar basin.

1

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy left to New Delhi on Monday to meet a group of central ministers. After taking part in the last rites of his father-in-law E C Gangi Reddy who died last week while undergoing treatment for illness in a corporate hospital in Hyderabad. The last rites were performed at Pulivendula in Kadapa district.

After the last rites, Jagan headed to Gannavaram airport to board a flight to New Delhi along with 10 party leaders, including MPs and ministers. The Chief Minister received an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. However, the appointment could be cancelled as the PM has other programmes to attend. During his visit, Jagan will meet Union Ministers Nirmala Sitaraman and Shekhawat to appeal for early release of central funds that are due to the state.

Jagan will seek the pending 14th Finance Commission grants for local bodies amounting to Rs 2,253 crore, GST compensation dues of Rs 3,622 crore, Polavaram dues ofRs 4,006 crore among others. All eyes on Jagan-Modi meet amid reports of judicial reforms

Sooner than later, the High Court of Telangana and other courts in the State are expected to speed up hearings for speedy disposal of cases relating to high-profile people’s representatives. The Chief Justice of Telangana is already said to have decided to act swiftly as per the instructions of the Supreme Court of India. This has triggered rumours that in the next one or two months, there is a likelihood of regular court hearings on the cases involving AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Some reports indicate that daily hearings may also be taken up for expeditious disposal of cases involving serious offences under the money laundering laws and the like. As it is, Jagan Reddy would have to appear before the courts on a regular basis once the courts begin the reforms with seriousness. His cases are before the CBI special court in Hyderabad, which makes it very difficult for him. Already, the AP CM has been asked to personally appear before the court. Thanks to Covid, he has got some relief from personal weekly appearances.

Amid this, CM Jagan is heading back to Delhi tomorrow. He is given an appointment to meet with Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday. The Chief Minister is reaching Delhi a day in advance. Only a few days ago, Jagan Reddy met with Amit Shah but the outcome of this visit was not officially briefed to the press by the YCP leaders. This time also, there is no word on the agenda for Jagan’s coming meet with the PM.

YCP circles say that the CM may ask for the CBI enquiry into the alleged irregularities in Amaravati Capital constructions. This is crucial for shifting Capital to Visakhapatnam.

Jagan turning tables on KCR on Rayalaseema Lift

The BJP Telangana leaders were the first to object to the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project launched by the Jaganmohan Reddy government. It eventually led to the Centre calling for the Apex Council meeting to resolve the water sharing dispute. For several weeks now, Telangana CM KCR has been at daggers drawn with the Modi-Shah duo in national politics. KCR has opposed even the fixing of meters on agricultural pumpsets which was put as one of the conditions for Centre’s financial approvals.

Amid this, AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy is changing his gameplans swiftly to outsmart foes and friends alike. After all, politics is a game of survival of the smartest. Though KCR is many years senior to him, Jagan Reddy is now going ahead to beat his ‘Big Brother’ in his own game. AP CM is taking full advantage of the differences between the TRS and the BJP to secure the unofficial nod from the Centre for his prestigious Rayalaseema Lift project.

Apex Council meeting is slated for October 6. Much of this, AP has given a warm reception to Jal Sakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at Tirumala.

The Union Minister has promised justice to both the States as per the permissibility and legality of the disputed projects. The question is whether the BJP will allow KCR win the dispute over Rayalaseema Lift project now.

Clap for village and ward volunteers at 7 pm: Jagan

3

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a call to every Indian to clap or ring bells for the frontline warriors including nurses, doctors, cleaners, transport workers, police personnel to send out a message of appreciation.

Taking a cue from the PM, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a call to people of Andhra Pradesh to clap their hands appreciating the work being done by the ward and village volunteers. He appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to gather outside their balconies at 7 pm today to show appreciation to the ward and village volunteers by clapping their hands.

Jaganmohan Reddy launched the ambitious village secretariat system, known as AP Grama Sachivalayam, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in East Godavari district. The system is modeled on the lines of Gandhiji’s ‘Grama Swarajya concept. The AP Grama Sachivalayam aims to decentralize democracy and provide more power to villages. Since October 2 is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Jagan appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to clap for the village and ward volunteers

The system was launched on August 15. The system is expected to render 500 services at the doorsteps of people in all villages across the state and promote the state government’s welfare schemes. The state government had set up a total of 11,158 villages secretariats and 3,786 ward secretariats across the state. Each village secretariat will have 11 to 12 volunteers, every volunteer will be incharge of 50 households in villages and 100 households in a municipal ward in urban areas.

Jagan grants 56 new BC Corporations for sub castes

6

There are widespread complaints that the existing SC Corporation, BC Corporation and Minority Corporation were not being given funds. Even the funds of the Brahmin Welfare Corporation were said to have been diverted. Now, CM Jagan Reddy is forming 56 separate Corporations for 56 sub castes among the backward classes. The parent BC Corporation is already suffering on account of lack of funds to carry out its financial and educational assistance programmes.

It is well known that the first one year Jagan Reddy has seen a massive erosion in the State revenues. Coronavirus lockdowns further worsened the situation. Even then, the Chief Minister did not relent on his Cash Transfer programmes. In view of the funds crunch, the funds from different programmes including those of the welfare corporations had to be diverted to the cash transfer programmes.

Because of arrests of BC leaders like Atchannaidu and Kollu Ravindra and also atrocities on Dalits, the Government was under pressure to prove its commitment to these sections. Now, 56 BC Corporations are being formed. Each BC caste with population above 30,000 population was being given a separate Corporation. These sub castes included Vannikula Kshatriya, Agnikula Kshatriya, Pulanati Velama, Besta and Eediga.

In a grand finishing touch, Jagan is earmarking more than 50 per cent chairperson posts of these 56 Corporations to women only.

Jagan bats for Bharat Ratna to SPB

2

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday appealed to the central government to confer ‘Bharat Ratna’ upon legendary singer S P Balasubrahmanyam, who passed away on September 25 after a prolonged battle with Covid-19 at the MGM hospital in Chennai.

In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jagan said the union government had earlier conferred Bharat Ratna on music legends such as Lata Mangeshkar, Bhupen Hazarika, M S Subbulakshmi, Ustad Bismillah Khan, and Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Similarly, Jagan appealed to the PM to confer Bharat Ratna to SPB who had received the Padma Shri in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2011. “As a tribute to the legendary singer for his outstanding contribution in the field of music and art, I request you to confer Bharat Ratna upon Balasubrahmanyam,” the Chief Minister requested.

Jagan said SPB deserves to be conferred with Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award for his outstanding contribution in the field of music for more than five decades. Jagan said SPB’s achievements go beyond music. “Our state of Andhra Pradesh is fortunately being the birthplace (SPS Nellore district) of the great music maestro S P Balasubrahmanyam. His untimely departure not only caused much distress to fans and celebrities in India but has also affected the international music fraternity,” the Chief Minister noted in his letter.

Another free scheme from CM Jagan though not in manifesto

4

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has become popular all over the country with his trademark Cash Transfer schemes. The rival may call it a votebank political game that is hurtful to the State. But, the CM is becoming increasingly confident of his ultra welfare schemes. Now, CM Jagan is taking new bold moves. He has launched a fresh ‘YSR Jala Kala’ scheme to give free pumpsets to over 2 lakh farmers.

The Chief Minister has asserted that he is implementing this new free scheme thought it was not there in the election promises. The YCP Government was implementing new welfare programmes which were not promised in its manifesto. The CM has proudly announced that even the current meters for these new pumpsets would be freely given. All these costs would be borne by the Government though it would mean an additional burden of over Rs. 1,600 Cr.

The free pumpsets scheme would benefit farmers in over 144 rural assembly constituencies and also in over 19 semi urban constituencies. The ruling party is asserting that this scheme is being given though not in Jagan’s promises. It is only to benefit the small and marginal farmers.

Jagan ignores Pawan’s plea on Antarvedi chariot making

2

It appears to be the Jaganmohan Reddy government’s specialty to convert a crisis into a deeper crisis by giving multiple twists. The latest controversy is regarding the making of a new sacred chariot for the Antarvedi temple. Already, the burning of an age old chariot brought bad name to the government forcing it to order a CBI investigation. Now, the mishandling of the allotment of works on the new chariot gave rise to a fresh crisis. The Government has allotted these works without calling for tenders.

Moreover, the local ‘Agnikula Kshatriyas’ have been demanding allotment of these works for them. These fishermen have been worshipping at the Antarvedi temple for generations. In fact, the fishermen communities in villages spread over the area regularly offer prayers at the temple, which is located closer to the coast. By virtue of this, those attached to the temple for decades are claiming a right for getting these works on making the sacred chariot for their temple.
Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan has come forward and given his total support to the locals on this aspect. He has asked the Government to consider their demand and accordingly involved them in the chariot works.

However, the Government has given these works to outsiders without giving a chance to the fishermen. The officials have made arrangements for beginning the chariot works. For this, ‘Narasimha Homam’ ceremony is going to be held today. Incharge Minister Dharmana Krishna Das is attending the function. Unafraid of this, the fishermen are filing a petition in the court for stay on the works till they are given the chance to make the chariot.

Confusion grows whether Jagan agenda is RSS or Christian

1

No political party or group is able to rightly assess which kind of agenda that CM Jaganmohan Reddy is following in Andhra Pradesh. The Hindu organisations are accusing him of implementing an outright Christian agenda. The ongoing attacks and burning of sacred chariots in temples were shown as proof of this. But, on the other hand, the Dalit organisations are saying that Jagan Reddy was secretly pursuing an RSS agenda with utter disregard for the oppressed sections.

As far as creating confusion in his opponents, the Jagan regime has succeeded to a large extent with both the Hindu and Christian groups expressing mixed feelings against it. At the time of elections in 2019, it was a different scenario altogether. At that time, while the Christian groups wholly owned Jagan as their family member, some Hindu groups have talked about the ‘homecoming’ or ‘ghar vapsi’ of CM. There was a huge publicity about how Jagan Reddy had a holy dip in the Ganga river.

However, just as he created so much confusion over his approach to politics of religion before elections, Jagan Reddy is continuing the same even after coming to power. But, it is just with a twist. This time, both religious groups are blaming him.

Analysts say that being a leader with unquestioned supreme command over his party, Jagan Reddy is right not able to pursue his own hidden agenda. Some say he is pursuing his caste agenda going by 99 per cent top posts being enjoyed by his caste. Others say Jagan is biased towards weaker sections going by top officials and Deputy CMs given to them. Whatever, the final agenda that Jagan is following must obviously be the mission to stay in power for the next 30 years.

Jagan orders Rythu Kendras to handle crop purchases

1

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has instructed the Joint Collectors in the districts to closely monitor and ensure better prices for the crops of farmers. All steps should be taken to make sure that farmers get the minimum support price. The CM has held a review meeting on the purchase and prices for agricultural produce. He told the officials to use the Rythu Bharosa Kendras as multi-purpose centres in villages. Through these kendras alone the purchase of crops should be carried out in future.

Mr. Jagan Reddy said that the Rythu Kendras should not only provide information but also take steps for getting better prices. They should also ensure that the money reaches the farmers correctly without any exploitation in the process. Wherever required, new Rythu Kendras should be opened. Cotton should also be purchased through these kendras. The officials should take preventive steps against any scams in cotton purchases in the State.

The CM stressed the need for using e-marketing platforms to collect latest data. This would help to assess trends in prices in advance so as to ensure a better deal to the farmers.

The CM issued instructions to the officials to involve the local people’s representatives and the MLAs actively in the administration of the Rythu Kendras. Advice should be given to farmers regularly to cultivate a particular set of crops in their respective areas. Special display boards should be set up at all the kendras for this purpose.

Governor Biswabhusan, Jagan, KCR condole SPB demise

0

Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhara Rao on Friday condoled the demise of popular singer S P Balasubrahmanyam who succumbed to Covid-19 after a prolonged battle in a hospital in Chennai.

Biswabhusan Harichandan prayed for the departed soul and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Biswabhusan Harichandan in a statement said, “Balasubrahmanyam is a household name, not only in the Telugu states but the entire country as an iconic playback singer in 16 languages, predominantly Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam.” Harichandan reminded that SPG received coveted awards such as the Padma Bhushan in 2011, six national film awards as best male playback singer, 25 Nandi awards, NTR National Award and others for his contribution to Indian cinema.

Jagan expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He said Balasubrahmanyam was refreshing with his film music, spanning over five decades, and enthralled the connoisseurs and common people alike through his multifaceted talent.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said Balasubrahmanyam’s death is a great loss to the music world. He reminded that SPB has won the hearts of fans all over the country through thousands of his melodious songs. “SP Balasubrahmanyam had worked as a singer, actor and music director,” the Chief Minister said.

PM was impressed with Jagan, find out why

5

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was impressed with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

On Wednesday, when Modi held a video-conference to take stock of the Covid situation in the country, his attention caught the framed portrait of Lord Venkateswara Swamy when Jagan logged in to take part in the virtual meeting. Jagan took part in the video-conference at Annamayya Bhavan. Behind him was the portrait of Lord Venkateswara neatly encased in a frame and adorned on the wall.

When the PM caught the glimpse of Lord Venkateshwara, Modi remarked, “Today, I am happy to catch a glimpse of Lord Venkateshwara through this video conference.”

Modi was mighty impressed. The Prime Minister, probably, is unaware that Lord Venkateswara pictures or portraits are commonplace in the entire Tirumala. It is natural and not surprising that Lord Venkateswara Swamy’s portrait was adorning the walls of Annayya Bhavan. Such portraits of Lord Venkateswara Swamy do not find a place in CM’s camp office in Tadipatri, a fact that probably the Prime Minister missed. Or perhaps the Prime Minister took a subtle jibe at Jagan.

On Wednesday, Jagan took part in the videoconference along with Health Minister Alla Nani and Home Minister Sucharita.

Despite protests, the Chief Minister entered the abode of Lord Venkateswara Swamy to present ‘Pattu Vastrams’ on the behalf of the state government. Jagan was seen wearing traditional silk ‘pancha’ and ‘dhoti’ with the namam (insignia) applied to his forehead. After presenting the ‘Pattu Vastrams’ to Lord Venkateswara Swamy, he headed to Vakulamata for ‘darshan’. Later, he will take part in ‘Garuda Seva’.

Opposition parties have demanded that the Chief Minister should respect the age-old practice of non-Hindus signing the declaration form before entering the Tirumala shrine.

As per the TTD general rules, the Rule No 136 clearly states that only Hindus are allowed for darshan. Non-Hindus who wish to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy have to disclose their faith and give a declaration form to the TTD. As per conventions, since the Chief Minister is a converted Christian, he is bound by the TTD regulations to sign the declaration form. However, the Chief Minister was in no mood to respect the age-old Hindu traditions and practices.

Jagan asks MLA to remove face mask in Tirupati visit

5

Srikalahasti MLA Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy has been at the centre of controversies for organising huge rallies at a time of rapid Coronavirus infections. His rallies were one of the reasons for outbreak of Covid in his town. Later, the MLA himself fell ill with infection and recovered. During CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s visit to Tirupati, the MLA along with his daughter went and greeted him.

As there was a huge crowd around the CM, the MLA did not remove his face mask during their conversation. But when they were taking a photo, the Chief Minister commented humorously how the MLAs can get a good photo without removing the mask. All the party leaders present on the occasion burst into laughter.

For a moment, Madhusudhan Reddy was surprised and then immediately removed his face mask along with his daughter. They took photo with the CM and left. The incident triggered a debate in political circles whether it was correct on the part of the CM not to wear face mask during his entire Tirumala tour.

Most of the other leaders wore masks. The TTD officials were taking all precautions, including the archakas. When the Covid infection preventive measures are still in force, the CM’s casual manner of taking things has drawn criticism once again.

Belligerent Jagan enters Tirumala abode without signing declaration form

2

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, known for his belligerent attitude and defiant nature, has entered the Tirumala shrine without signing the mandatory declaration form as demanded by the Opposition parties, mainly the BJP and TDP.

Despite protests, the Chief Minister entered the abode of Lord Venkateswara Swamy on Wednesday to present ‘Pattu Vastrams’ on the behalf of the state government. Jagan was seen wearing traditional silk ‘pancha’ and green colour ‘kanduva’ with the namam (insignia) applied to his forehead. After presenting the ‘Pattu Vastrams’ to Lord Venkateswara Swamy, he headed to Vakulamata for ‘darshan’. Later, he will take part in ‘Garuda Seva’.

The Chief Minister offered a set of new silk cloths on the occasion of the ongoing nine day Brahmotsavam festival, that began on September 19. He carried the cloths kept on a silver plate on his head and handed it over to the priests and officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. He offered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara.

Earlier in the day, several BJP and TDP leaders were kept under house arrest as a preemptive measure to thwart any trouble at Tirumala. The BJP and TDP leaders demanded that Jagan Mohan Reddy sign a declaration form. They demanded that the Chief Minister be allowed to enter the Tirumala shrine only after submitting the declaration form. A posse of police personnel was deployed outside the residence of former TDP MLA Sugunamma. Angry TDP leaders protested the police action to keep Sugunamma under house arrest. Further, the TDP leaders demanded that the government follow the age-old tradition laid down during the British regime to declare one’s faith before entering the Tirumala shrine. They wondered why Jagan visits Tirumala shrine by himself, while his entire family accompanies him when he visits Jerusalem.

TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, who is also Jagan Mohan Reddy’s uncle, stirred a Hornet’s nest by stating that there is no need for the chief minister to sign a declaration to prove his faith in Lord Venkateswara.

While BJP and TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh have been kept under house arrest as a preemptive measure to thwart any trouble ahead of the CM’s visit to Tirumala, tension prevailed at Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Hyderabad residence ‘Lotus Pond’ as Bajrang Dal activists staged a protest outside his residence.

They raised slogans outside the CM’s residence demanding that the Andhra Pradesh government protect temples in AP. The police arrested several Bajrang Dal activists after they entered into heated arguments with the police. The activists raised slogans minister Kodali Nani. The police beefed up security at the Lotus Pond.

In New Delhi, Jagan had requested Jal Shakti minister Shekhawat to clear Rs 4,000 crore worth pending dues to the state government as part of the Polavaram project. It is learnt that Shekhawat has promised cooperation to Jagan to complete the Polavaram project by 2021.

Jagan also met Shekawat prior to meeting Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the irrigation projects in the state. Rajya Sabha member Vijay Sai Reddy and others accompanied Jagan when he met the Jal Shakti minister.

Jagan seeks central funds for Polavaram

1

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday met Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekawat and invited him to visit the Polavaram project.

He requested Shekawat to clear Rs 4,000 crore worth pending dues to the state government as part of the Polavaram project. It is learnt that Shekawat has promised cooperation to Jagan to complete the Polavaram project by 2021.

Jagan also met Shekawat prior to meeting Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the irrigation projects in the state. Rajya Sabha member Vijay Sai Reddy and others accompanied Jagan when he met the Jal Shakti minister.

After meeting both the Jal Shakti and Home Minister, Jagan left New Delhi. He will attend a video-conference of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then pay a visit to Tirumala at around 6.30 pm to offer ‘Pattu Vastrams’ to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s scheduled visit to Tirumala has been slightly postponed.

The scheduled visit of the Chief Minister, who is currently in New Delhi, to hold meetings with several central ministers has been altered. The Chief Minister will return from New Delhi today at around 4 pm. He will take part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video-conferencing from Annamayya Bhavan at around 5.30 pm. CM Tirumala visit: BJP and TDP leaders under house arrest

1

In view of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy visit to Tirumala, several BJP and TDP leaders have been kept under house arrest.

Further, the TDP leaders demanded that the government follow the age old tradition laid down during the British regime to declare one’s faith before entering the Tirumala shrine.

” Former President APJ Abdul Kalam and AICC chief Sonia Gandhi also signed the declaration during their visit to Tirumala. Only on declaring faith in Lord Venkateshwara will a person from another faith be allowed inside,” they demanded. The TDP leaders alleged that attacks on Hindu temples, like the burning of chariots and stealing of idols, were going on unabated in the state in the last more than one year rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy. “The government had failed to take any concrete measures to protect the temples from attacks, the Centre should intervene to safeguard the sanctity of temples and uphold the sentiments of Hindus and people of other religions,” the TDP leaders said.

Earlier, TDP president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had criticized the TTD Board’s decision not to demand a declaration of religion from Jagan Mohan Reddy during his visit to the Lord Venkateswara shrine at Tirumala.

Day of Declaration: Will Jagan honour TTD traditions?

1

Supreme suspense is prevailing in AP political circles over two issues now. Will CM Jagan Reddy sign the ‘declaration’ form required by non-Hindus before entry into Sri Vari Temple at Tirumala? Will he follow traditions while presenting the sacred silken robes to the deity? If he does not conform to these conventions, it will bring bad days upon the people of the State, says the Opposition and also the leaders of various Hindu organisations.

These issues came to the fore as the Chief Minister is all set to arrive in Tirumala today evening. After winding up his two-day tour in Delhi, Jagan Reddy is going straight away to Seven Hills to present the silken robes to the deity. Amid this, the Opposition has intensified its demand that Jagan Reddy should not avoid signing the declaration this time. Four to five times, he visited Tirumala temple but never signed the declaration form. His father YSR also never signed the form during his time as the Chief Minister.

As per the latest reports, Jagan Reddy will reach Tirumala after 6 p.m. Accordingly, the authorities have made all the arrangements. His Ministers and Advisors are still asserting that there is no need for the CM to sign the declaration. They were also stressing the need for removing such a declaration which is standing as a hurdle between the devotees and the deity.

Now, analysts say that it will all depend on the CM at his personal level to sign the declaration or not. If the statements of the Ministers are to be considered, Jagan Reddy is most unlikely to sign the declaration. He is also not likely to follow the conventions while presenting the silken robes to the deity of Tirumala.
