Lokesh promises to drop tax burden on common man

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is imposing heavy burden on the people in the shape of various kinds of taxes and once the TDP comes to power again, all this burden will be reduced.

Lokesh was given a rousing reception by the locals at Angallu and the people gathered in large numbers to have a glimpse of the TDP national general secretary. Later, the youth, women and the old met him personally and told him that they are unable to lead a common life since the prices of essentials are skyrocketing. As the power connection bill is high, the pension that they have been getting has been withdrawn, some old persons informed Lokesh.

“Tell me if a single section is not affected by this selfish Government. Since the prices of petrol and diesel are heavy in the State, the prices of essential commodities too are beyond the reach of the common man,” Lokesh observed.

Once the TDP is back in power, the prices of all the essentials will be brought down and the tax burden too will be reduced, he added. Lokesh also promised to revive the pensions to all those who are now not getting due to various reasons.

As the crowd gathered heavily to meet Lokesh at the Nandireddyvaripalli campsite of Thamballapalle Assembly segment, the jealous ruling party leaders tried to create obstructions asking him to vacate it immediately. The local Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) visited the campsite at 4 am early on Saturday and left the place after the landowner showed the records.

Despite giving all the necessary permissions for Lokesh visit in the district for three days, March 11, 12 and 13, pressure is being mounted on the officials by the local MLA and his followers to create hurdles to the TDP leader. Later, the Revenue Department officials asked Lokesh and other TDP leaders to leave the district in view of the election code for the ongoing Legislative Council polls.

The TDP announced that the pada yatra will be suspended for two days, on March 12 and 13, in view of the poll code.

Later, at Kantevaripalli of Thamballapalle Assembly segment, Salivahana community leaders met Lokesh and narrated their problems to him. The representatives of Kuruba community too met him at Nandireddyvaripalli.

Suspending his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, for two days Lokesh left for Hyderabad in view of the election code and till now he has walked for 529.1 km. The Yuva Galam will be revived on March 14 at Kantevaripalli for the 42nd day.

TDP will end political interference in education institutions, says Lokesh

0

Political interference in educational institutions is damaging the academic sector in the State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokes, felt on Friday and promised that once the party is back into government this will be completely checked.

Totally agreeing with the representatives of the students and the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of youth activists at Madanapalle, Lokesh said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is taking over the aided educational institutions only with an eye on the assets owned by these institutions worth hundreds of crores.

The students and the JAC representatives submitted a memorandum to Mr Lokesh at Madanapalle during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra on the problems the local educational institutions are facing.

The BT College, which produced several top dignitaries, including some chief ministers and some judges, was taken over by the State Government last year. Of the existing courses earlier, only a few are being continued, they submitted in the memorandum to Lokesh.

Though it is more than seven months since the State Government has taken over the college, till now the vacancies for the teaching and the non-teaching staff have not been filled while only an incharge principal is managing the whole institution, they mentioned in the memorandum.

The JAC leaders wanted the BT College to be upgraded as a university and the assets of the institution be protected.

“The State Government is forcibly taking over the educational institutions being managed by Christian and Minority trusts and even academic institutions are not being spared by Jagan,” he said.

Lakhs of poor students who have been studying in these institutions are deprived of their right to pursue their studies, Lokesh said and promised the JAC leaders that once the TDP forms the government again political interference in educational institutions will be checked completely and quality education will be extended to the students.

Earlier, several prominent local leaders met Lokesh at Madanapalle and complained to him that the youth are migrating to the neighbouring States as there are no employment opportunities here since there are no industries locally. They also said that the condition of the roads in the town is very bad. The tomato farmers are not getting the MSP, they said.

Lokesh promises judicial powers to Wakf Board

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday assured the representatives of the Muslim community that once the party is into power again the Wakf Board will be accorded judicial powers to save the properties and also strengthened it.

Participating in the face-to-face programme with the representatives of the Muslim community at Indiramma Nagar of Kalikiri in Peleru Assembly segment as part of his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, Lokesh said that the Wakf Board properties are being grabbed by the YSRCP leaders and once the TDP is back into power judicial powers will be accorded to the board besides strengthening it so that the assets will be safe.

Observing that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has cheated the Muslim community by not fulfilling his promise of setting up Islamic bank, he said that the process of reservations for the community will be strengthened which will help them progress well.

Lokesh also promised to revive the welfare programmes like Dulhan and financial assistance for their further studies abroad. “Even when the TDP had an alliance with the BJP, we have never taken any measures that will adversely impact the Muslims,” Lokesh pointed out.

Maintaining that it is TDP that has established Urdu University and paid honorarium for Imams besides building Haj Houses in various parts of the State, he added. “Though Deputy Chief Minister, Amjad Basha, belongs to the Muslim community justice is not done for the minorities,” Lokesh remarked.

Promising setting up of industrial clusters in all the Assembly segments once the TDP is back into power, Lokesh said that lands also will be alloted to them to encourage them as industrialists. A separate market will be established at Peler to provide self-employment for Muslims, he said, adding that Gulf-affected too will be extended necessary assistance.

At Kalikiri, party leader from Vijayawada, Vangaviti Radha, joined Lokesh in the pada yatra and extended his solidarity with him. Later, at Vandlapalli village of Vayalpadu mandal of Annamayya district, Lokesh had an interaction with farmers.

Summit was only to loot public money, lands, says Lokesh

0

The global investors summit organised last week in the port city of Visakhapatnam by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is only aimed at looting the public money and valuable lands in various parts of the State, observed the TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Addressing media persons at Vepulabayalu village of Peleru mandal of Annamayya district during his ongoing pada yatra, Yuva Galam, Lokesh termed the Visakhapatnam summit as the local fake summit. Observing that the maximum utilisation of power in the State is 11,448 mega watts (MWs) but the State Government is projecting it as two lakh MWs, Mr Lokesh pointed out.

Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Davos by a charter flight spending Rs 12 cr but entered into agreements with only Arabindo, Green Co and Adani companies and again signed the memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the same companies at the Vizag summit, not once but three times, Mr Lokesh remarked.

“Agreements can be signed with these three companies sitting in a hotel over just a cup of coffee. In fact, to sign an MoU with Arabindo there is no need to spend money even for the coffee,” the TDP general secretary stated.

Maintaining that Indosol is a company owned by a binami of Jagan, he told media persons that in the name of this company 25 acres of land was illegally occupied.

The TDP general secretary stated that investors are running away from the State on learning about the history of Jagan. Former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, himself is a brand name for investments, Lokesh said, adding that during 2014-19 he tried for setting up several industries in almost all the districts in the State.

AP had 19,500 cr more FDI than Telangana during Chandrababu Naidu regime and the rate of unemployment has come down by 3.5 per cent, Lokesh pointed out. However, this Government was in deep sleep till 2023 and now got up with the fake local summit to take the innocent public for a ride, he remarked.

“If agreements have been entered into with 378 companies why only the names of the 70 companies are revealed. What happened to the other companies,” he asked and pointed out that during Chandrababu’s regime all the details were uploaded online.

Lokesh expressed his readiness on the charges that he has made against the Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Narayana Swamy, on land grabbing. The TDP national general secretary said that his party’s stand is clear on the capital Amaravathi while Jagan is taking South Africa as an example. “Will any wise leader take South Africa as an example,” he asked.

Investors have lost faith in State Govt, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday felt that the industrial tycoons have lost faith in the State Government and thus they are not coming forward to invest in Andhra Pradesh.

During his pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh had an interaction with the youth at Kallur of Punganuru Assembly segment in Chittoor district. When the youth gathered for the programme told Lokesh that they have lost their jobs as the companies for which they have been working closed their units in the State and shifted them to other States, Lokesh said assured them that they need not get disheartened as the TDP is all set to come back to power and once the TDP forms the government again they will get better employment opportunities.

When some of them wanted to know whether the youth will have an opportunity in politics, Lokesh replied that TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, wants to give 40 per cent representation for youth in the party.

Majority of the youth gathered for the programme complained that Chittoor district is the worst affected with the negative rule of the YSRCP. They said that cases under various Sections have been registered against them due to which their future is now in dilemma.

Lokesh promised them that once the TDP is into power, all such false cases will be lifted, and the party will invite investors into the State following which the youth will get employment opportunities.

The police forced the petty businessmen to shut down their shops during Lokesh’s visit to Kallur. The family members of Misba met Lokesh and said that she committed suicide due to harassment by the YSRCP leaders. They also said that they met Minister, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, several times but justice was not done to them.

Responding to them, Lokesh promised to stand by the family and will always support them. Observing that there was no security for minorities during the YSRCP rule, Lokesh said that the TDP is all set to come back to power and all their problems will be addressed.

Lokesh called upon the minorities and the youth to fight with right spirit and not get scared away by the false cases. The TDP will extend all sorts of cooperation to them and will stand by them, he added.

In 2024 Chandrababu will take oath as CM, reaffirms Lokesh

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday asserted that Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the chief minister of the State in May next year.

Addressing a massive public meeting at Kothapeta of Punganuru Assembly segment of Chittoor district during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh declared that the TDP is going to come back to power and Mr Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn in chief minister in May next.

”The State will be cleansed of all the sins committed by the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government,” Lokesh stated.

Observing that change in their lives is possible only with the yellow flag (the TDP flag is of yellow colour), Lokesh said and called upon the public to hoist the yellow flag. ”I will take the responsibility to put an end to the atrocities being committed by the ruling YSRCP leaders,” he said.

Asking the party activists not to get scared of the false cases being foisted against them, Lokesh said that at least 20 such cases have been filed against him till now. ”All these cases are false and these cases will not deter me from moving ahead and taking on the illegal activities of this Government,” he declared.

Lokesh said that those who are facing such false cases will be felicitated once the TDP is back in power and all such cases will be lifted. He made it clear that if Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, co-operates his will be a pada yatra or it will be an invasion.

Calling upon the people to permanently confine Jagan Reddy to the Tadepalli palace and local MLA, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy to his house, Lokesh said that the MLA has done nothing for the constituency in the past 30 years.

”Hoist the TDP flag in Punganuru and you will personally witness what development means,” he stated.

Lokesh said over 100 farmers have lost their lands due to the Nettiguntapalli reservoir and soon after the TDP is into power, they will get proper compensation. Reaffirming that fear is not in his dictionary, Lokesh said that all sections, including the police force, are the victims of this wicked rule of Jagan.

Lokesh promises more investment if TDP is voted to power

0

The State will witness huge investments within 100 days of the TDP forming the government again, said party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday.

In a face-to-face programme with representatives of the Muslim community, organised at Damalacheruvu of Chandragiri Assembly segment during the ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh said that during the YSRCP rule, investors are deserting the State leaving the youth unemployed.

”Once the TDP is back in power, I am assuring you all that within 100 days massive investments will be made in the State creating huge employment opportunities, including to Muslim youth,” he said.

Promising the setting up of Islamic bank within one year of coming to power, Mr Lokesh said Karnataka model will be implemented to resolve the DKT pattas issue. Stating that the voters have elected Chevireddy Bhasker Reddy twice, he asked what are the developmental activities that the local MLA has undertaken in these 10 years.

At least 10 Muslims were done to death during the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government, Lokesh said that Ibrahim was murdered in daylight on the streets at Narasaraopet for fighting for masjid lands.

Lokesh said that the TDP never took any kind of negative measures even when the party had an understanding with the BJP. Soon after the TDP forms the government, all the problems of Muslims will be resolved on a war footing basis, Lokesh said.

Earlier, the representatives of the United Teachers Federation (UTF) and the Noble Teachers Association met the TDP national general secretary at the campsite of Gummadivari Indlu of Chandragiri segment. Lokesh said that the Jagan Government is targeting the teaching community and cases are falsely being registered against those who fight for their rights.

This is the only Government in the country that drafted teachers as security guards before liquor shops, Lokesh observed and promised them that all the cases filed against the teachers will be lifted once the TDP comes to power again.

The representatives of the teachers unions complained to Lokesh that the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) arrears, dearness allowance for 2022 have not been paid to them till now. Since the courses in the primary education and secondary education have been reduced it is seriously impacting the academic standards, they informed Lokesh.

Tadepalli palace is feeling shaky with Yuva Galam, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, is now feeling shaky after knowing the tremendous response to the Yuva Galam pada yatra, said TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Addressing a public meeting at Thindavada in Chandragiri Assembly segment as part of his 29th day of his pada yatra, Lokesh said ”This coward Chief minister has been taking rest at Tadepalli palace for the past four years but after the resounding response to my pada yatra he started feeling shaky now.”

Stating that he is fortunate enough to address the people here from the footsteps of Lord Venkateswara, Lokesh said that this Chandragiri was once the most famous area during the Sri Krishna Devaraya Dynasty. But today the land, sand, mining, and liquor mafia is ruling this historic place, he said.

”Just before my pada yatra the GO no 1 was issued only to prevent me from addressing the people in the State. Jagan is acting on Government Order but mine is a public order,” he declared with confidence that he has the public support.

Hundreds of policemen and even police vehicles are surrounding him wherever he goes, he said, adding that this will not make him lose confidence. Lokesh said that all the sections of society are suffering in various ways with this inefficient rule.

”The students, teachers, women and even the police officials are the victims of Jagan and he miserably failed to fulfil the promises that he made to them. What happened to the job calendar which he said will be issued every year regularly. The jobless youth have been eagerly waiting for this,” Lokesh said.

What happened to the steel factory for Kadapa and the Amarrajaa Battery company has been chased out by this Government following which 20,000 youth lost their employment, he said. As several companies have launched their units during Chandrababu Naidu regime, Jagan Mohan Reddy is throwing them out, he remarked.

Police creating problems to me at every step, says Lokesh

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday said the police officials are creating problems to him at every step during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and they will have to pay a very heavy price in future for this as the days of the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government are numbered.

Addressing the villagers of KVB Puram of Satyavedu Assembly segment on the 21st day of his ongoing pada yatra Lokesh said that the police seized his sound vehicle and even grabbed his mike.

“I am not bothered about this. Since I am fighting for the people who are facing difficulties at every step, particularly from the police who are acting under directions from the Tadepalli palace, they will have to pay a very heavy price in future,” Lokesh remarked.

Maintaining that the days of the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government are numbered, Lokesh noted that the police officials who reposed faith in the Chief Minister and the DGP will soon realise that both of them will not come to the rescue when they are in trouble.

“The countdown has begun for Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, and the DGP too will be helpless after Jagan is thrown out of power. It is the TDP that will soon be in power again and then you will have to pay a very heavy price for your actions now,” Lokesh maintained.

Making it clear that fear is not in his dictionary, Lokesh challenged Jagan to file any number of cases against him. “My fight is for those people and the police officials who are in trouble. I continue to hold the mike despite being grabbed from me several times,” he said.

Lokesh also talked to the farmers and daily-wage earners who are on work in their agricultural fields to know the problems that they are facing. He also accepted memorandums from many of those who met him.

Jagan implementing Raja Reddy constitution, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday felt that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, was implementing not the Constitution of Dr BR Ambedkar but the statue of his grandfather, late Raja Reddy.

Lokesh, during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ had a meeting with several Dalit representatives from the Satyavedu Assembly segment at the Keelapudi campsite. When the Dalit representatives complained to Lokesh, he responded that the YSRCP leaders were forcibly occupying the lands of Dalits. He promised to implement the Karnataka model once the TDP forms the government again and will work for the uplift of the whole community.

Training centres will be set up to sharpen the knowledge of Dalit youth, Lokesh said, adding that all the lands that were illegally occupied by the YSRCP leaders will be handed over back to the persons concerned. What attracted the Dalit representatives more is that Lokesh promised to release the job calendar regularly and all the vacancies will be filled once the TDP is back in power.

Lokesh was very particular about the support by Jagan Mohan Reddy to Amaravathi before elections but after assuming power he totally changed tax and now says that three capitals will be formed. ”What does this mean except cheating the people of the State,” he asked.

Now a Minister in the Cabinet, Buggana Rajendranath, says that Jagan has no proper understanding about the capital and the State will have a single capital and it is going to be Visakhapatnam. Buggana also made it clear that Kurnool is not going to be the judicial capital. What all is this except creating a sort of confusion among the people, Lokesh asked.

At Venkat Reddy Kandriga, Lokesh had an interaction with women where he mentioned another cabinet minister, Roja’s warning to him. ”This Jabardast aunty says that I am humiliating women if I talk about corruption. Such comments apply to Jagan but not to me,” he said.

It is Roja’s who has humiliated women but not any TDP leader, he remarked and said that he will certainly teach a lesson to such leaders once the TDP is back in the government. ”You tell me your problems and I will try to find solutions to them ‘,” he said.

Lokesh felt that illicit liquor is being sold freely in the State and it is claiming several lives. ”Chandranna vaccine is the only remedy for the State now,” Lokesh remarked.

YSRCP cheating BCs, Dalits: Lokesh

0

Jagan Mohan Reddy government is seriously hampering the growth of the BCs and the corporations formed for the welfare of the community are only existing for name sake, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

The representatives of the Dasari community from Aranya Kandrika met Lokesh during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and narrated their problems to him. The women members of the community have shown the bangles that they manufactured.

In a memorandum submitted to Lokesh, they said that they belong to the nomadic community and make their livelihood by chanting Harinamam. They wanted to have permanent representation in the TTD Trust Board.

They complained in the memorandum that the Dasari Math build by the King Krishnadevaraya at Tirupati was taken over by some other community and made an appeal to Lokesh that a fresh Dasari Math be built at Tirupati at least in an extent of five acres once the TDP forms the government again. They also wanted free power at the extent of 300 units each and a commission be formed to study the problems of nomadic tribes.

Responding to their problems, Lokesh said that after Jagan came to power the worst sufferers are the BCs and once the TDP government is formed all their problems will be resolved. Earlier, at least 1000 youth had selfies with Lokesh at the campsite.

At Nindra, the affected employees of the Nethams Sugar Factory met Lokesh and said that the company cheated at least 4,000 sugarcane farmers. The company was closed and the dues to the farmers amounting to Rs 37 cr are yet to be cleared, they informed Lokesh.

“The local YSRCP leaders promised that the company will be reopened, and their dues will be cleared. But till now nothing has happened, and we are suffering a lot as the pending amount has not been paid yet. We have resorted to dharnas in front of the district collectorate at least 10 times but without any use,” they told Lokesh.

Responding positively to their problems, Lokesh promised to repay their dues with interest soon after the TDP comes back to power and MSP will be paid to the sugarcane farmers.

Police seize mike from TDP activist at Lokesh meeting

1

The local police created obstructions to the ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ of TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, at Samsireddy Palle on Thursday.

The police attacked and grabbed the mike from a TDP activist, Mr Bhasha, who sustained injuries in the mele. The police even attempted to push Lokesh down the bench on which he was standing to address the local party activists.

This resulted in a fierce argument between the police and the TDP activists while Lokesh continued his protest by standing on his bench. ”What right do the police have to create hurdles to Lokesh in our village,” the villagers asked.

Carrying a copy of the Indian Constitution, Lokesh questioned the police as to how they can violate the fundamental right of a citizen. He continued his protest till the police officials left the scene and allowed him to address the gathering.

Cops seize vehicles in Yuvagalam at Palamaneru

0

The local police on Thursday seized the campaign vehicle in the convoy of TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh at Palamaneru.

The police led by local Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) reached the padayatra and seized the vehicles.

The DSP said that the vehicle is seized since it is being run without proper permission. The TDP activists in large numbers staged protests on the road against the police action and asked why the police resorted to the seizure of the vehicle.

Lokesh said that after Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister at least 19 cases, including an SC, ST atrocities case and an attempt to muurder cases, were filed against him while not even a single case was registered against him earlier.

“The State government even issued the GO No-1 to prevent me from taking up my pada yatra and later I made it clear that the Yuva Galam will not be stopped come what may,” Lokesh said.

He also made it clear that the Varahi of Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, too will move ahead.

Lokesh warned those who damaged the flexees at Byreddypalli of paying back with interest once the TDP is back in the government.

The TDP general secretary called upon the party activists to join the Yuva Galam (youth voice) to save the State from this psycho rule.

“If you want a better future for you this psycho should go and the cycle should be back in power,” Lokesh said.

Jagan’s policies are anti-farmer, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh on Wednesday promised the sugarcane farmers all possible assistance, including supply of quality fertilisers and pesticides.

On the sixth day of his pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh met the sugarcane farmers at Sake Vuru of Baireddipalle mandal. The farmers narrated their problems including the heavy investment. With the increase in the labour charges, seed, fertilisers and pesticides prices, they said that they are incurring heavy losses.

The farmers also complained that they are not getting Rythu Bharosa scheme benefits and even the Amma Vodi scheme as they have two children each. The farmers wanted the problems of the sugarcane farmers to be resolved after the TDP comes back to power.

Lokesh felt that the farmers are facing various difficulties as the Minimum Support Price (MSP) is not being paid to them. This YSRCP Government is adopting anti-farmer policies, he said and promised to take all necessary measures to resolve the farmers problems once the TDP is back in power.

Later, Lokesh addressed the Valmiki community leaders at Belupalle of Baireddipalle mandal, where he said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has deceived the community by not fulfilling the promises that he had made.

“There is no response from the government on the demand of the Valmikis to include them into the Scheduled Tribes (STs) and the community members are suffering due to lack of employment opportunities following which they are migrating to the neighbouring States like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in search of jobs,” Lokesh said.

The TDP general secretary pointed out that during the TDP regime the Satyapal committee was formed to study their problems and a resolution was passed by the Assembly in 2017 to include them in the STs list.

“During the TDP regime loans were sanctioned to the community members on subsidy but this Government did not sanction loans to even a single person in the Valmiki community,” he stated.

Though the YSRCP has so many MPs. they are not even asking the Centre to include the community into STs, Lokesh observed.

Promising the Valmiki community that seperate companies will be set up in this area to provide employment to them, Lokesh said that he has personally written to Jagan to include the community in the list of STs.

This Govt does not know what development is, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday felt that the YSRCP Government does not have any knowledge about development and Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is surrounded by robbers.

Lokesh, during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ was given a rousing reception by the villagers of Kaigal of V Kota mandal. After having a brief chat with the villagers, Lokesh visited the plaque at the Kaigal reservoir for which the foundation stone was laid on February 21, 2019, to meet the drinking water needs of the people of Byreddypalli and V Kota mandals.

Later, Lokesh said that the TDP government after laying the foundation stone for the reservoir also acquired the necessary land and allotted funds for its construction. This Government, however, completely neglected it as it does not have any intention to meet the drinking water needs of the locals here, he said.

“The condition of the roads too is very bad and the Government did not initiate any measures to fill the potholes on the roads. That is the reason as to why people want this psycho Government to go and the cycle government should be back,” Lokesh commented.

Except looting the State, the current ruling dispensation does not have any idea on development, Lokesh said.

Before visiting Kaigal, Lokesh met the petty traders at the local market at Kasturi Nagaram of V Kota mandal where the locals narrated their cup of woes to him. A fruit seller told Mr Lokesh that his son studied B Tech but does not have any job. “Our children will get employment only if Chandrababu Naidu becomes the chief minister again,’ the petty traders said in unison.

From Kaigal, Lokesh moved to Kommaramadugu village where he interacted with the locals. The farmers in the village said that the investment per acre is now about Rs 3 lakh as the prices of fertilisers and pesticides besides the labour charges have gone up heavily.

The returns are very poor, Rs 1.5 lakh or so per acre and they are suffering huge losses in agriculture.

Lokesh promised to take their problems to the notice of the State Government and will continue his fight till justice is done to them. He felt that the farmers are suffering heavy losses in the absence of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the farm products.

The TDP general secretary said that soon after the TDP is back in power, special attention will be given to the problems being faced by the farmers and steps will be initiated to resolve them.

State moving in reverse direction, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday said that when the TDP was in power the State progressed well but after the YSRCP came to power it is moving in the reverse direction.

Interacting with the youth at the ‘Hello Lokesh’ programme organised at the GMR Kalyana Mantapam by the locals here as part of his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh was moving on the progressive path for 67 years. “But after Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister the State is fast moving in the reverse direction,” Lokesh stated.

Observing that he launched the ‘Yuva Galam’ only to stand by the youth which are fighting for their future, Lokesh felt that this is a very good opportunity for the youth to send Jagan home. Maintaining that Jagan is taking shelter at the Tadepalle Palace, the TDP general secretary said that the Chief Minister of a State should always be among the people.

What happened to the Special Category Status for the State which Jagan promised before coming to power, he asked and pointed out that the youth lost employment opportunities after Jagan assumed charge as the Chief Minister. “Except for falling at the feet of the elders in Delhi, Jagan is not raising the State issues with the Centre,” he noted.

The Chief MInister who promised three lakh jobs to the youth every year through job calendar is now issuing job-less calendar, he said and pointed out that the vacancies in police department and the posts of teachers are not being filled. Why Jagan, who was totally in support of a single capital before coming to power, is now raising the three-capital slogan, Lokesh asked.

Maintaining that TDP president, Chandrababu Naidu, is a brand for providing jobs and employment opportunities, he said that Jagan is a brand in chasing companies out of the State. “Decentralisation means providing employment opportunities to the youth as per the population ratio in different regions of the State but not raising slogans like three-capitals which is not possible,” Lokesh remarked.
