TDP leaders opt out of race to make way for successors

The younger generation is all set to take up the mantle in Andhra Pradesh politics as ministers and senior leaders of ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have opted out of electoral race to make way for their political successors.

Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu is perhaps the only exception as he and his son Nara Lokesh both figure in the list of 126 candidates announced by the party late on Thursday for Assembly elections in April.

Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy, a strong TDP leader in Kurnool district, decided against contesting to pave way for his son K.E. Shyam Babu from Pathikonda constituency, a family stronghold.

Paritala Sunitha, another key minister in Naidu’s cabinet, opted out of the race to get a ticket for her son Paritala Sriram from Rapthadu, considered a bastion of Paritala family in Anantapur district.

In Chittoor district, senior TDP leader and former minister Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy’s son Bojjala Sudheer Reddy will be the party candidate from Srikalahasti. Krishna Reddy was elected from here for five terms.

Gouthu Syam Sunder Sivaji gave up his Palasa constituency in Srikakulam district in favour of his daughter Gouthu Sireesha.

Naidu accepted the request of senior leader Jaleel Khan to field his daughter Shabana Khatoon from Vijayawada West.

Kidari Sravan Kumar, whose father and TDP MLA Kidari Sarveshwara Rao was gunned down by Maoists a few months ago, got TDP ticket from Araku. Sravan was inducted into the cabinet after the killing of his father.

Kimidi Nagarjuna will contest from Cheepurapalle constituency as the political successor of his mother Kimidi Mrunalini, a sitting legislator.

Naidu has also fielded late Central minister K. Yerran Naidu’s daughter Adi Reddy Bhavani from Rajahmundry City. Yerran Naidu’s son K. Rammohan Naidu is a Lok Sabha MP from Srikakulam and is likely to be fielded again. Yerran Naidu’s brother K. Atchem Naidu is a cabinet minister.

The TDP chief has also given tickets to sons of senior leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu and former minister Devineni Nehru. Muddukrishnama Naidu died in 2018 while Nehru died in 2017.

The ruling party has kept the names for 49 Assembly constituencies pending. The TDP chief was busy holding consultations with party leaders and aspirants to finalise the names.

The party is also yet to announce candidates for Lok Sabha elections. Polling for the 175-member Assembly and all 25 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled on April 11.

Among the 126 candidates announced, the party has retained 83 MLAs. While 14 MLAs who had crossed over from opposition YSR Congress have been fielded, three have been denied tickets.

The list includes 15 women.

Among 72 candidates from Other Castes (OCs), as many as 32 are kammas, a politically dominant community to which Chandrababu Naidu belongs. There are 30 candidates from backward classes, 18 from scheduled castes, four from scheduled tribes and two Muslims.

Guerrilla attacks on AP by Jagan, KCR and Modi, says Naidu

0

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu launched a no-holds-barred attack on rival leaders. He drew the battle lines with opponents at a media conference at the CM camp office. Naidu asked the AP voters to be on high alert as Jaganmohan Reddy joined hands with KCR and PM Modi to continue his guerrilla attacks on the state. While Jagan wants to protect himself from the CBI illegal assets cases, KCR and Modi want to crush AP and make it like a slave.

The TDP boss has made the bitter most attack ever in the recent past. He spared no words on Jagan. Naidu said that Jaganmohan Reddy has become like a wounded, spoilt monkey which is out to spoil the entire garden. It is common sense that the YCP President will be in jail if he does not have the protection of the Modi government in Delhi. Jagan also requires total support of KCR as he is carrying all his illegal and unlawful criminal activities from his Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad.

Chandrababu’s unsparing attack marked the setting of the tone and tenor for the future campaign heat between the ruling and the opposition parties in AP assembly election on April 11.

Modi is a watchman for criminals like Jagan, says Chandrababu

0

PM Modi boasts of himself as a ‘chowkidar’ to save the country from corruption tainted politicians. But AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has said that Modi is actually a watchman for criminals and unprincipled persons like Jaganmohan Reddy and Telangana CM Chandrasekhara Rao. Why has Modi prevented further investigation into the 2017 May 30 letter from Enforcement Directorate official Col Singh on Jagan’s deeper corruption in Hinduja land deal in Kukatpally? asked Chandrababu.

Without investing a single rupee in that land, Jagan’s bogus companies got prime land as a quid pro quo from Hinduja and the cost of that land stands at Rs. 500 crores and above now. Chandrababu says that Modi is not at all interested to be a watchman for good people but he wants to protect and use criminals like Jagan like his pet dog.

Jaganmohan Reddy will have no moral strength to save and safeguard the interests of the unjustly divided AP state. Chandrababu says that Jagan is just like a pet dog for KCR who is wanting to damage AP as much as possible. Modi and KCR want Jagan to win in AP only to see that the state is totally in ruins.

Prof K Nageshwar : Locating in National Political Context: Who will Benefit, Chandrababu or YS Jagan?

Battle lines are clearly drawn in Andhra Pradesh. State is all set to see a photo finish with contending sides evenly placed in a belligerent electoral battle, any small trigger can tilt the mandate this or that side. With Jana Sena failing to emerge as a formidable third player, the political polarisation in Andhra Pradesh is essentially between two parties, two leaders and to an extent even two castes. The electoral fights has turned into a sort of referendum for the people to chose between incumbent chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and ever ambitious opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

While Chandrababu Naidu is on a hectic mission to rally all the anti-BJP forces across the nation by even embracing his arch rival Congress, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP chooses to remain equidistant from the two national parties despite facing allegations of arriving at a tacit deal with the BJP.

Naidu believes that placing TDP in an appropriate national political contest helped it in 2014 and will do so in 2019 too. On the contrary, Jagan expects to benefit from a strategy of regional confinement.

Writing in the Economic and Political Weekly (July 12, 2014), this author explains how the national factor helped Naidu in the last general elections: “The sense of helplessness strongly instilled in the Seemandhra electorate in turn also generated a feeling that the residual state of Andhra Pradesh desperately needed help from the central government. Jagan Mohan Reddy failed to acknowledge this new sentiment among the people. In fact, Jagan Mohan Reddy was also one among the leaders who were responsible for creating such a sense of helplessness.

Chandrababu Naidu demonstrated consummate political skills by arriving at an early understanding with the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and converted the threat into an opportunity. The strong Modi sentiment evident across the country convinced the average voter in the Seemandhra region that Chandrababu Naidu could form part of a winning combination at the Centre and could deliver for the truncated state without a capital…

While Chandrababu Naidu could successfully locate himself in a national political context that was considered so crucial for Seemandhra in the wake of bifurcation, Jagan Mohan Reddy demonstrated an utter lack of strategy. He even sent signals of extending support to the much discredited United Progressive Alliance which proved to be costly to his electoral prospects. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stand of supporting any possible formation at the Centre for the benefit of the state failed to convince the electorate. This is because of the discernible political trend in favour of the NDA.”

Now in 2019, there is a simmering discontent against the Modi regime for the manner in which Andhra Pradesh has been treated, especially the denial of Special Category Status (SCS) to the state. Thus, Chandrababu was cautious enough to realise that continuing his alliance with the BJP would prove to be costly for the TDP given the antipathy towards the NDA-led central government.

The opposition YSR Congress, has also been fighting for SCS. But, the YSR Congress failed to counter a perception that it is closer to BJP and would not hesitate to join NDA if post poll arithmetic demands so. The TDP has cleverly nurtured such a perception among the electorate, thanks to Jaganmohan Reddy’s relative silence on many issues on which the BJP needs to be confronted. His unconditional support to BJP nominees in the presidential and vice presidential elections helped only to strengthen such perception. At a time when people of Andhra Pradesh are so strongly disenchanted with Narendra Modi regime, this strategic deficit of YSR Congress would prove to be a liability for the party.

Pawan Kalyan has already deserted Naidu. The TDP won with a slender, mere 2% margin in 2014. The loss of BJP and Pawan Kalyan would certainly hurt the TDP in terms of electoral arithmetic. The party expects to make up for this loss by allying with the Congress. But given the anti-Congress narrative over the bifurcation promoted by the TDP itself, Naidu found it difficult to sell his idea of joining hands with the villain of bifurcation. Thus, he is now cleverly couching his new-found love for the Congress in the perspective of national politics. The BJP has already denied special status and the Congress promises to deliver it. Thus, Naidu finally bid goodbye to the BJP to embrace the Congress, yet again appropriately locating himself in a national context. However, to avoid any possible anger from the voters, the TDP chose not to ally with Congress at the state level given the pathetic experience of the grand alliance in Telangana polls.

Instead, Jagan said that his party would support any government at the Centre if it delivers special status to the state. Such a stand is insipid given the fact that the BJP has already denied SCS and the Congress not only authored it but now promises to offer such a status to Andhra Pradesh. Thus, the politics of equidistant at the national level may not yield any additional dividend for the YSRCP.

Chandrababu okays Vizag North ticket for Lokesh

The long suspense over the contesting segment of Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh is over. He is not going to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections from Bheemili. But, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu officially confirmed that Lokesh will be given Vizag North ticket. Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao is supposed to contest from Vizag North if Lokesh contests from Bheemili.

There are still rumours Naidu may consider giving Bheemili ticket to CBI EX JD Lakshminarayana if the latter joins the TDP. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Sabbam Hari may join the TDP and contest from Madugula constituency. The fast-paced developments are springing surprises to the TDP cadres as well. CBI EX JD’s name came to the fore and the YCP leaders are saying this Chandrababu’s gimmick to annoy Jaganmohan Reddy whose illegal assets cases were investigated by Lakshminarayana.

On his part, Ganta Srinivasa Rao is going to contest from Visakhapatnam MP seat. Besides Lakshminarayana, there are also rumours that ex-MP Ashok Gajapathiraju’s daughter Adithi will be considered for Bheemili. Naidu is making very cautious decisions on North Coastal Andhra segments to balance caste and local equations.

Neutral voters – Key to Chandrababu’s ride once more

0

In 2014, Chandrababu Naidu rode to power like a cakewalk thanks to the support from Jana Senani and Bharatiya Janata Party. This time, all three parties are contesting the April 11 election separately. No major new alliances have been formed. Opposition YCP has not improved enough to provide a clear immediate alternative. All these are given as reasons for a drastic fall in committed voters to all parties and a significant rise in neutral voters.

Analysts say that it is the general tendency of neutral voters to look at and compare the overall profiles of potential leaders in the race for CM post. They usually do not look at the profiles of candidates contesting in their respective constituencies. Considering these aspects, the April 11 election is going to witness overwhelming support to Chandrababu from neutral voters.

Then again, there is the issue of these voters not turning up on polling day in considerable numbers. Even when all such considerations are made, it is expected that 3 to 5 percent neutral voters may cast their votes in AP this time. These voters are mostly educated and employee sections who are not active workers in any party. A number of BJP sympathisers have become neutral voters this time because of Andhra sentiment due to injustice and betrayal of special status.

Poll watchers say that the neutral voters are going to play a key role in Chandrababu’s comeback once again. Their main consideration would be that an able leader is needed to fight against injustice done to AP before and after separate statehood.

Hyderabad Robber enjoying illegally? – Chandrababu on KCR

0

People give credit to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for developing modern Hyderabad and for putting it on the world IT map. Lakhs of employees are working in IT industry alone. The foremost and only source of substantial income for Telangana state is now Hyderabad capital city.
Chandrababu says while he has worked hard to make Hyderabad what it’s now, KCR is enjoying its fruits illegally like a robber. Moreover, the TRS boss is trying to destabilise Andhra Pradesh by using unprincipled persons like Jaganmohan Reddy.

Chandrababu held a teleconference with TDP leaders. He asked them to remain extremely alert as their party has to deal with the YCP which has a criminal record. Only 30 days as are left for the AP election. Naidu asked his party candidates to popularise the TDP slogan – Your Future in Our Hands.

Jagan is KCR’s dummy in AP politics, says Chandrababu

0

The TDP stepped up its election rhetoric against the YCP, KCR and PM Modi. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with party leaders from Amaravati capital city. He says that while he is trying hard to bring investments in thousands of crore of rupees, KCR is trying to obstruct this by colluding with Jagan and Modi. Chandrababu says that Jagan has almost become a KCR’s dummy in AP politics.

AP CM described KCR as the real president of YCP while KTR is the joint working president of both TRS and YCP. It is very clear that KCR is full of venom towards AP state. The TRS boss is continuing to hurt AP even after the separate statehood. Will the AP people permit this unholy secret alliance between KCR, Jagan and Modi? Is it not a big threat to the self-respect of AP people from Jagan’s actions? asked AP CM.

Chandrababu told his party leaders that in just 10 days, their government could overcome many hurdles and attracted Rs.45,000 crore worth investments form industrialists globally and nationally. But Jagan is determined to help KCR to crush the job potential of AP and hurt the prospects of AP youth.

T Minister Talasani fires on Chandrababu – data war

0

Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav asked how the TDP government makes conflicting statements on the details of AP people. “They are saying the people’s information is safe with the AP government but at the same time, they accuse the Telangana government of stealing information. Why is AP CM Chandrababu Naidu making one mistake after another? Why is he creating an imaginary and fake data war between the two states?” asked Talasani.

The TRS Ministers and leaders all together are joining to attack the TDP. Talasani says Chandrababu is damn afraid of defeat in the 2019 election. This is why he is making all sorts of allegations against CM KCR and the TRS government. This is apparently Naidu’s desperate attempt to create an anti-KCR sentiment among the AP people to win the election. Talasani says such attempts of TDP will not succeed.

The Telangana Minister advised Chandrababu to accept his government’s role in misuse of public information. It’s not correct to pass the blame on to innocent officials in AP. Talasani says no sentiment will help Chandrababu in the 2019 election.

Centre, Telangana behaving like ‘economic terrorists’: Andhra CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday accused the Centre and the Telangana governments of behaving like “economic terrorists”.

He said both governments were targeting the opponents, including those from the corporate sector, by threatening them or by fabricating false cases against them.

Addressing a news conference here, he said both the Narendra Modi-led government and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government were creating an atmosphere of fear by targeting the opponents through raids or by causing mental agony to them.

Naidu also came down heavily on the Centre for threatening to file cases against “The Hindu” and N. Ram, Chairman of the publishing group, under the Official Secrets Act. He termed this as a serious threat to freedom of speech and expression guaranteed by the Constitution.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief referred to the raid conducted by the Telangana Police on an information technology firm providing services to the party. He alleged that the TRS government took away the data of his party and gave it to the YSR Congress to help it in the coming elections.

Naidu said 160 people who were working with the company ran away from Hyderabad as the TRS government created fear through the raid.

“They also filed a false case against us that government data was stolen. In what way are you concerned with this? Do you have so much love for Andhra Pradesh,” he asked.

The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh would take all steps, including legal recourse, to protect its sovereign rights.

He alleged that the TRS, BJP and YSR Congress had colluded to create chaos in Andhra Pradesh which was on the path of development and prosperity thanks to the efforts of his government during the last five years. He also claimed that they were trying to get the names of eligible voters deleted from the electoral rolls.

Stating that the Central and the Telangana governments forced many opponents, including some industrialists, to surrender before them, he said there was no question of compromising with them.

“They are threatening me of using the CBI, the ED and other agencies, but they can’t do anything. I have done nothing wrong in my 40-year-long political career and I will continue to fight,” Naidu said.

Jagan imported dacoit politics from Bihar, says Chandrababu

0

Bihar is known as the most lawless and violent state in the entire country. This is because of their utter disrespect for the laws of the land and lack of political will. Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy has hired a rule-bending, compromising election consultant named Prashant Kishor who hails from Bihar. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu says by hiring PK as adviser, Jaganmohan Reddy has imported dacoit politics from Bihar.

On his part, Jagan is also named accused number 1 in many illegal assets cases before CBI and faced jail for several months. Chandrababu says the dacoit mindsets of Jagan and PK almost matched which is why they are working together. The latest instance of deleting TDP votes by YCP and PK teams has greatly angered the TDP boss. Naidu says by becoming alert in time, the TDP could prevent major damage.

AP CM says this is the kind of election consultation that Bihar consultant has been giving to politicians in his state and in the country as well. Chandrababu addressed media conference when he said the TDP government is fighting on the strength of welfare, development and sentiment in AP but Jagan and PK are trying to win with dacoit politics.

65 lakh party workers, 5 lakh Seva Mitras in TDP fold: Naidu

0

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has termed the data theft is unethical as our data comprising details of party cadres numbering over 65 lakh and more than five lakh Seva Mitras, while cautioning YSRCP that YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s mafia can’t be successful in AP.

Addressing TDP leaders via video conference from Amaravati Secretariat on Thursday, Naidu said that “the data was hacked and handed over to political opponents. This is totally unethical and highlights the fact that how moral values are degrading in politics. Same practice was implemented in Telangana too as lakhs of voters were deleted in the state before Assembly elections held in December 2018.”

YSRCP is just following the footsteps of TRS, said Naidu. “Whatever TRS implemented in Telangana, YSRCP is just following the suit. YSRCP leaders are attacking TDP cadres in several districts in Andhra Pradesh. I call upon entire TDP cadres and senior leaders to work united leaving aside all the egos. TDP is party that honours and practises moral values, so ultimately we’ll win,” remarked Naidu.

Naidu has further reiterated that malpractices of YS Jaganmohan Reddy wouldn’t deliver goods for that party. “Voters have to decide who should come to power. What all we have promised during the election campaign in 2014, we have delivered them. We have already announced several welfare schemes and trying to enhance living standards for the poor,” added Naidu.

Explaining about YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s activities, Naidu said that earlier it was fake share trading now he’s into bogus votes exercise, while alerting party cadres about illegal and malpractice strategies of YSRCP.

Revenge drama crosses boundaries – Chandrababu Vs KCR

0

As the AP assembly election comes closer, it is becoming more of a bigger ego clash between the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Opposition party, YCP, has become just a role player having little direct impact. KCR is not cool though he has won 2018 election in Telangana. He has a greater target which is to ensure defeat of Chandrababu Naidu. KCR’s new obsession has become something of a revenge drama that has crossed the boundaries.

The serious nature of the feud is obvious. KCR is using all the police and revenue machinery in his state to run an IT data war with AP. Why is Telangana CM so angry? It was a bitter memory that Chandrababu Naidu removed KCR’s ministry in the past unceremoniously. That made KCR quit the TDP and form his own Telangana Rashtra Samithi which eventually played a key role in Telangana state formation and later came to power in the state.

But TRS circles say there are greater reasons for KCR’s revenge. TRS chief thought of winning over TDP leaders and activists wholesale but Chandrababu continued to unite his party even after state separation. It made KCR very angry. There will be a danger to TRS existence if TDP regained. KCR is even more unhappy over Chandrababu’s role in formation of Mahakutami alliance with Congress. It gave lot of tensions to KCR in 2018 election though he won eventually.

CBN’s new strategy for Bapatla to resolve Tatikonda Assembly seat tangle

0

Hyderabad: AP chief minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is in discussions with party leaders Sujana Chowdhary and Malyadri to resolve Tatikonda issue and field potential candidate for Bapatla Lok Sabha constituency.

Naidu wants Bapatla MP Sriram Malyadri to contest in Assembly elections and exploring several names for the MP seat. This assumes importance in the process of resolving issue of choosing candidate for Tatikonda Assembly in Guntur district. Naidu held discussion with former union minister Sujana Chowdhary and Bapatla MP Malyadri and has reportedly arrived to a conclusion, according to sources.

Naidu is giving utmost priority to ease out dissidence within the party over seat allocation for Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies.

Tatikonda sitting MLA Sravan Kumar is facing ire of the party cadre and senior leaders. Several leaders from Tatikonda constituency had already reported to Naidu against Sravan Kumar. Naidu seems to have favoured the idea of fielding another candidate for Tatikonda SC reserved constituency and give another position to the sitting MLA, added the sources.

Bapatla MP Sriram Malyadri is non-controversial person so Naidu wants him to contest from Tatikonda. Sujana Chowdhary is a god father of Malyadri. That’s why Naidu first approached Chowdhary over the issue, said a senior TDP leader. However, Chowdhary has opined that Malyadri is an ideal candidate for MP only.

Meanwhile, Naidu is exploring several names for Bapatla Lok Sabha constituency. Former Collector Devanand name is also making rounds among the probable candidates.

‘Rakshasudu’, ‘Naraasurudu’ – Jagan fires on Chandrababu

0

Opposition leader and YCP President Jaganmohan Reddy launched a scathing and bitter attack on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan went to the extent of describing Chandrababu rule as a rule by a ‘rakshasudu’ (demon). YCP leader addressed the ‘Samara Sankharavam’ public meeting in Nellore town. This speech marked the most aggressive tone of Jagan since the beginning of the election season.

Analysts say Jagan’s bitter attack indicated how much more ugly the future election campaigning will become in AP. Is it correct for Chandrababu to obstruct the police who are investigating the data misuse case? asked Jagan. How can the people’s personal details be handed over to private companies? All this information should have been with the Election Commission but the TDP government colluded with the private companies to misuse the date, said Jagan.

The YCP is mainly targetting the IT Grid company which is behind the Seva Mitra app of TDP. What is the relation of Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh with these private companies? Jagan said CM Naidu is deliberately misusing and demolishing the institutions in the state.

We will cut your tail – Chandrababu tells Prashant Kishore

0

The ongoing data war is blowing out of proportions in Telugu states. The ruling Telugu Desam Party is preparing to complain to the Election Commission of India on the rivals’ illegal ways to delete their party votes from the lists. CM Chandrababu Naidu blamed Jagan, KCR and Modi for such unlawful activities to disrupt election process.

Jagan and KCR may go to the extent of deleting the vote of AP CM himself. Naidu made these serious remarks at the public meeting at Chittoor. He said the TDP will take all the steps possible to identify the guilty persons behind the voters lists mafia.

Naidu also warned Jagan’s Bihar-based election consultant Prashant Kishore of dire consequences. This will be unavoidable as Prashant is the one giving all the cheap ideas to Jagan. This is not Bihar and your tactics will not work in Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu told Prashant. There are wide concerns that the deletion of TDP voters in all constituencies will have an impact on the winning chances of the ruling party. The TDP leaders are now busy finding out the extent of the damage and how to repair it.

KCR-Jagan master plan to delete 8 lakh TDP votes?

0

Over the last 20 years, the Telugu Desam Party has developed a full-fledged computerised database of its members and their details across the state. TDP chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu accuses Jaganmohan Reddy and KCR of stealing all that information only to misuse it in the coming Lok Sabha and assembly election in AP. Naidu said that the current master plan of KCR-Jagan is to get 8 lakh voters’ names deleted from voters’ lists and all these voters are members and sympathisers of the TDP.

Chandrababu said this was proof enough of how much frustrated Jagan and KCR are over the present hopeless situation of YCP in AP. Jagan is resorting to all kinds of cheap tactics considering the fact that his internal surveys have reported his party’s poor performance. As a result, the Opposition leader is taking the help of Telangana CM to get raids conducts on the offices of IT companies and to steal information from there.

While the TDP is making positive steps to develop IT in a big way, the YCP and the TRS are encouraging cyber crimes that will bring disrepute to the Telugu states. Chandrababu called upon the TDP leaders to remain on high alert. There are efforts being made by YCP activists to delete TDP voters’ names from voters lists under the bogus voters’ category.

Chandrababu targetting KCR for sympathy – KTR on data war

0

TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao defended the Telangana police who are probing into the data leakage from IT Grid company. Why is AP CM Chandrababu Naidu so much afraid if he is not guilty? KTR asked. The Telangana police started investigation only based on a complaint that the data of beneficiaries of AP government were passed on to the TDP Seva Mitra App.

KTR said everytime it became a routine for the TDP chief Chandrababu and his son Lokesh to commit blunders and then plead not guilty. There’s no question of handing over the investigation to the AP police since the complaint was against the AP government. KTR said Chandrababu has made it a practice to blame KCR for everything and it’s clearly for getting sympathy from the AP people ahead of elections.
The AP and Telangana governments data war has reached a boiling point. The AP police were not allowed to continue their investigation in Hyderabad. What has the AP police to do in Telangana? asked KTR.

Jagan trying to make AP another Bihar, says Chandrababu

2

Prashant Kishore, a native of Bihar, is the media and political adviser for YCP President Jaganmohan Reddy. He has got popularity as a success-bringing election consultant though he tasted some failures as well. The political circles are full of rumours that Prashant Kishore is playing a key role in the changed strategies of Jaganmohan Reddy in allotment of tickets and also giving counter statements to TDP criticism.

There has been a lot of dissatisfaction within YCP about Jagan’s over dependence on the Bihari consultant. Apparently to take advantage of this, TDP chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu began commenting on this. CM said that by using the mindset of Prashant Kishore in AP politics, Jagan is wanting to convert AP into another Bihar. There is a country-wide feeling that Bihar is an example of poverty, backwardness, lawlessness and violence.

In internal party meetings, Chandrababu said the TDP would stop the Jagan-Modi-KCR trio from getting a grip over Andhra Pradesh in the coming election. The Telugu Desam Party is prepared to take any kind of risk and face all challenges to counter Jagan’s desperate and cheap strategies.
