YSRCP accuses Chandrababu Naidu of trying to divide society

Senior Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy alleged on Friday that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu has no ‘honesty, shame or justice.’

“Babu is a person who sets aside honesty, shame and justice and calling for dharma parikrama yatra shows his low level. Without even the fear of people, he is resorting to bluffing,” alleged Reddy.

He claimed that Naidu is responsible for temple demolitions and is now preaching about faith.

According to the Rajya Sabha MP, Naidu’s mental state has become worrisome because his son Nara Lokesh hasn’t allegedly succeeded, including the anxiety of not being in a position in the future to retain the status of an opposition leader.

That’s why, Reddy said Naidu is resorting to accusations, forgetting culture and decency.

“Politically, Naidu is struggling on the last leg of his life. He is desiring to salvage his political life with religious divisions. That will never happen. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, all the people are united. Nobody cares for allegations,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, Naidu criticised the state government that it just did an eyewash about the mysterious illness in West Godavari district for four days which captured the attention of the country.

“Later, they abandoned it. Now it spread to Denduluru mandalam’s Komirepalli village. Instead of concentrating on conspiratorial politics and destruction of institutions, rulers should focus on public health,” alleged Naidu.

He said Komirepalli villagers are saying that their drainage system is in a pathetic condition.

“Government is not in a position to give even safe drinking water. Government rule should transform people’s lives but YSRCP is ruling in such a way that people are thinking it is okay if they are alive,” claimed the former chief minister.

YSRCP’s remarks on Ramateertham ‘dangerous thinking’, alleges TDP

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and principal opposition leader in Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday termed the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government’s statements on the Ramateertham issue as ‘dangerous thinking’.

He said the government is allegedly doing this with an ulterior motive to terrify and suppress the voice of the opposition cadres and the general public.

In December last year, unidentified miscreants had cut off the head of the Lord Ram’s idol at the Ramateertham hilltop temple in Nellimarla village in Vizianagaram district, which triggered a massive controversy with the opposition parties accusing the ruling party of allegedly ignoring the temples’ safety and security.

Naidu also condemned the arrest of party member Kala Venkatrao on Wednesday, asserting that he was a non-controversial leader with 40 years of experience.

“The government’s attitude is dangerous as it wants all the opponents to either kill themselves or get killed by criminals under suspicious circumstances,” Naidu claimed.

Training his guns on the police department, the TDP supremo demanded that Director General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang should explain what crime did Venkatrao commit.

“False cases have been filed against TDP leaders in the name of attack on an MP’s car. The DGP should explain why no preventive steps are taken nor any cases are filed against the YSRCP MP,” Naidu said.

He added that it is high time for Sawang to follow the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and safeguard the rights of the people, and not follow the ‘Jagan Reddy Penal Code’.

“If the DGP cannot overcome pressure from the ruling YSRCP leaders to implement the rule of law, he should resign and go home. The government is just daydreaming that the TDP leaders could be suppressed with fabricated cases and false arrests,” the former Chief Minister said.

Naidu also claimed that there is no proper response from the CM or the DGP despite the sawing away of Lord Ram’s idols and 150 alleged temple attacks.

“The DGP should at least respect his uniform. Otherwise he should quit expressing his inability to stop the atrocities,” Naidu said.

Meanwhile, the opposition leader welcomed the high court order to conduct rural local body elections and said that the YSRCP leaders should realise that judges may change, but justice will remain.

“They resorted to election irregularities which is why 27 per cent unanimous results were seen in the MPTC and ZPTC elections. The fake CM and his party leaders are trying to use rowdyism to terrify and suppress all sections of voters,” Naidu alleged.

He also asked Sawang how permission to the ‘dharma parirakshana yatra’ could be cancelled on Thursday after granting it on Wednesday.

Currently, a huge controversy is raging in the southern state over the alleged attacks on temples. While the YSRCP is blaming the TDP for these incidents, the latter is accusing the YSRCP of not protecting the temples and being lax about their safety.

Several alleged temples attack cases have emerged in the past six months, compelling the government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to crack them.

The police are also focusing on people who are peddling fake news on temple attacks, resulting in some journalists and other social media users getting arrested for their alleged propaganda.

Chandrababu will not let NTR get Bharat Ratna: Kodali Nani

Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies minister and firebrand Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Kodali Sri Venkateshwara Rao on Tuesday said Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu will not let the late NT Rama Rao receive the prestigious Bharat Ratna award.

“At Mahanadu, they claim that NTR should be given Bharat Ratna but in proper format they never give this demand. Did Naidu take a cabinet decision that NTR should be given Bharat Ratna?” questioned Rao, who is popularly known as Kodali Nani.

He said Naidu doesn’t even ask for that award to NTR in the capacity of TDP supremo and alleged that he suspended NTR from the party and grabbed his chief minister’s seat.

“As long as Naidu is alive, he will not let NTR receive Bharat Ratna because he is the first enemy of NTR,” alleged Rao.

Rao also did not mince words in criticizing Naidu and alleging that he was responsible for the death of NTR.

The YSRCP leader noted that in the event of Bharat Ratna being given to NTR, technically it will be received by his wife Lakshmi Parvathy as she is alive.

“When a husband wins Bharat Ratna, the award will be given to his wife not to daughters, sons or sons-in-law. That means Lakshmi Parvathy will go and receive the Bharat Ratna award, which he (Naidu) doesn’t like. So that’s why he never proposes to anyone to give Bharat Ratna to NTR,” claimed Rao.

Other than merely repeating this wish at the death anniversary, he said Naidu doesn’t do anything beyond on this matter.

Conferring the award on NTR is a longtime demand of his supporters and admirers across the state.

Naidu is the son-in-law of NTR

Naidu, TDP leaders pay tribute to NTR on 25th death anniversary

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, national general secretary Nara Lokesh and a host of other leaders commemorated the 25th death anniversary of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR on Monday.

Naidu paid tributes to the legendary actor at NTR Ghat near the Tank Bund and by the Necklace Road in Hyderabad on Monday morning.

The TDP supremo was also joined by Telangana TDP president L. Ramana and several other leaders.

“NTR gave a new definition to politics, filling light in crores of lives. NTR enabled the poor and downtrodden communities to share political power. He gave food security, ensured shelter and gave clothing with his welfare,” said Naidu, as he paid his tributes to the legendary Telugu personality who hailed from Nimmakuru village in Krishna district near Gudivada town.

He said Rao proclaimed Telugu self-respect and glory to the entire world and highlighted that it has been 25 years since NTR left.

After paying respects to the former CM in Hyderabad, Naidu reached NTR Bhavan in Amaravati to pay tributes in Andhra Pradesh.

As Naidu alighted from his vehicle, TDP leaders and cadre chanted ‘Jai Babu Jai Jai Babu’

“Wherever Telugus are, today is a day to feel proud about. NTR fought for the self-respect of Telugus. It has been 25 years. Even though it has been 25 years, NTR will live in the hearts of Telugus forever,” said Naidu in Amaravati.

He was accompanied by party senior leaders Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and TDP AP president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu among others.

NTR passed away on January 18th, 1996. In less than one year of establishing the regional party, TDP, in 1982, NTR swept the elections to rise to power in 1983.

Vijayasai: ‘Saindhava’ Naidu can’t spoil Jagan ‘Maha Yagna’

YCP firebrand MP VijayaSai Reddy is elated and overflowing with joy at the latest order of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. He says that with this, it is evident that Chandrababu Naidu’s vicious plans would not work eventually in front of CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s benevolent rule.

Vijayasai says that Chandrababu is trying to play the role of a ‘Saindhava in Mahabharat’. But Naidu’s evil plans would not work in the Maha Yagna of Welfare being presided over the Jagan Reddy regime in the State. The High Court had realised the importance of public health and summarily suspended the election schedule.

The YCP MP further posed a series of questions to State Election Commissioner N. Ramesh Kumar. He asked whether Nimmagadda would go to the Supreme Court for seeking relief from the latest order of the High Court. Or, the SEC would go to the residence of Chandrababu Naidu for further advice on how to proceed ahead.

Whatever, the YCP cadres were all celebrating the victory in the High Court. On his part, the SEC has decided to approach the division bench of the High Court seeking dismissal of the single bench order.

It seems the fireworks between the SEC and the Jagan regime will continue till the last day of Nimmagadda’s service

BJP-Jagan-TDP giving a new definition to Marxism

Except the Left parties, all the other main political parties in Andhra Pradesh are right now busy with the politics of religion. The Ramatheertham incident appears to be the only burning issue for these parties. The common people’s problems, Coronavirus troubles, price rise and all such issues took a back seat.

Commentators are wondering whether the rival parties have forgotten their basic duty to serve and guide the people in the right direction. All the parties are indulging in the only task of inflaming religious feelings to gain vote bank benefits. The BJP has its own strong Hindu line. CM Jaganmohan Reddy is known for his party’s open pro-Christian policies. Even the TDP and the Jana Sena have joined this rat race now.

Analysts point out that obviously, the BJP, Jagan Reddy and Chandrababu were giving a new definition to Marxism. This is not about the Marxist ideals that are followed by the Left parties. But it is about following the famous quotation of Karl Marx that ‘religion is the opium of the people’. All the major parties in AP are now busy using religion as an opium to indulge and win over vote bank politics in the State.

Going by the present mood, the temple attacks and the Ramatheertham incident are likely to dominate the political discussions for a long time to come. Even if it goes to the backstage, the BJP will use all its divisive tactics to bring religion to the forefront this time.

Christian CM has no right to continue if attacks go on on temples: Naidu

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy had no right to continue in his post if his Government failed to prevent the attacks on temples, idols and Hindu dharma.
Mr. Naidu said: “Jagan Reddy is a Christian CM. I am not faulting that. He has his own beliefs. I believe in Venkateswara Swamy. But attacks should not be allowed on other religions. Jagan has no right to continue as CM even for a minute if he failed to prevent these attacks.”

The TDP chief asked why the ruling YCP failed to take immediate action in the Ramatheertham desecration incident. Even now, another incident took place at Singarayakonda in Prakasam district. The Swamivari idol at Varaha Narasimha Swamy Temple was disfigured. The Government and the police were more interested in filing cases against the Opposition leaders rather than nabbing the actual culprits. Not a single accused person was arrested when over 140 incidents of desecration and vandalism took place.

Addressing the TDP State general body meeting at NTR Bhavan, Mr. Naidu launched a scathing attack on the YCP’s religious intolerance, saying that the Chief Minister himself was misusing his position to promote conversions. This was a blatant violation of the Constitution. Who gave the authority to Jaganmohan Reddy to carry on this and hurt the sentiments of other religions. Not just Christians, the Hindus and the Muslims also have their own sentiments. Everybody was entitled under the Constitution to their own faith and belief.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu deplored that a direct attack was going on as devotees were being approached and induced during their visits to temples. A Deputy Chief Minister himself said his Christmas greetings at the Tirumala temple. The Christmas celebrations were held at the police station itself. The CM has taken an oath while taking over the post. As such, he should rise above the considerations of caste and religion. All communities and sections should be treated equally. The TDP has been silent on the omissions and the commissioner of the YCP regime but it would not spare any longer.

Accusing the Chief Minister of resorting to religion-based vote bank politics, Mr. Naidu said Rs. 5,000 honorarium was being paid to the pastors. This was going on even though they were SCs and enjoying reservations. The Government cannot give honorarium to them. The vote bank politics was being done by using the churches. A close vigil should be placed on the new churches coming up in villages and who were behind them. The TDP was not against anybody’s belief but it was determined to firmly fight back the injustices and atrocities on any religion.

Mr. Naidu deplored that everybody in the Government behaved horribly with respect to the cutting off of the head of Rama idol at Ramatheertham. The CM, the Home Minister, the DGP and even the district SP were all Christians. They should have taken prompt steps to clear doubts among Hindu devotees. But they displayed total negligence. The severed idol head of Rama was traced in the ‘koneru’ sacred tank only after pressure mounted by the TDP.

Decrying murderous attacks on the party leaders, the TDP chief suspected a pattern and a standard modus operandi as the cell phones of all the victims were getting lost after the murders. Dalit youth Om Pratap of Punganur was killed just for making some frustrated remarks against the YCP liquor mafia. His cell phone was not traceable. Nandam Subbaiah was murdered at Proddatur and Puramsetti Ankulu at Pedagarlapadu. Both their cell phones were missing. Cases were filed against JC Prabhakar Reddy just for expressing his democratic protest.

Jagan promoting a ‘don culture’ to loot AP: Naidu

Former Chief Minister N Chandbrababu Naidu has hit back on the YCP allegations on the temple incidents. He said that the Jagan Reddy Government was launching a misinformation campaign to say that the TDP was behind the ongoing attacks on temples, idols and priests. But CM Jaganmohan Reddy was solely trying to save the culprits in all the 136 attacks that took place on the temples in the State in the past 19 months. The same persons who were experts in guerrilla raids were making guerrilla-like baseless allegations against the TDP.

Mr. Naidu said that the Chief Minister should feel ashamed of the Minister’s comment that his followers would come out from jail in the gambling cases and they would start playing the cards once again as usual. It was the misfortune of the AP people that gamblers and card players had become the Ministers now. They were neck deep in running gambling dens. Now AP had gambling dons, liquor dons and mafia dons. Jagan Reddy was cultivating the don culture. They were called Benz Minister, Hawala Minister, Betting Minister, Gambling Minister, Playing Cards Minister and Abusive Minister.

Mr. Naidu addressed the party’s Central Committee meeting held here. He said that it was undeniable that the YCP leaders had set their sights on the priceless assets of the Simhachalam temple. The ruling party coteries was trying to loot all the Rs. 10 lakh cr worth properties of the temple in Visakhapatnam surroundings. Conspiracies were being hatched to plunder and grab all the 12,000 acres of the Simhachalam temple. The Vizianagaram Rajah PVG Raju family had constructed temples in over 105 villages and the YCP was trying to loot all their lands now.
Stating that the YCP failed miserably while the TDP stood by the people, Mr. Naidu said that even in the Coronavirus epidemic time, the TDP got involved in public service activities. The party began virtual agitations and made good use of modern technologies. The real heros in the eyes of the people would be those who would render service in tough periods. All the TDP leaders who were fighting against the YCP atrocities were real heroes.

‘Kali Yug’ coming to a climax: Jagan on Naidu’s protests

The ‘Kali Yug’ is coming to a climax. In this dark period, there are no values any more. Even the Gods were being used for political gains. They are not hesitating to play dangerous games with the idols of the gods. All these words came from none other than Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
The CM was commenting on the ongoing protests being launched by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and his party leader all over the State against desecration of temples. The Government would take stringent action against the culprits. The police must not leave anybody regardless of their political, social or any such background.
Mr. Jagan was talking after virtually inaugurating the State level Police Duty Meet. He lamented that the untoward incidents at temples were also being used to derive political mileage. Indirectly referring to Chandrababu and Lokesh, the CM said that there was no fear of any God nowadays. They were politicising everything for the sake of their personal gain.
The Chief Minister wondered why these attacks on temples were going on. Who were their targets? These perpetrators were not realising that they were playing with the sentiments of the people. A guerrilla battle is going on against temples. The police should bravely fight this. There is no ray of hope as the dark age of Kali Yug is coming to an end.

Naidu calls Jagan a ‘betrayer of Hindus’

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Mr. Naidu visited Ramatheertham temple where Rama idol was beheaded in Vizianagaram district. The TDP chief addressed a public meeting there when he accused the CM of posing multiple threats to the assets and idols of the temples with utter disrespect for the sentiments of the Hindu devotees in the State.

Mr. Naidu said that the Chief Minister has turned out to be a ‘betrayer of Hindus’ as not a single accused person was arrested so far in over 127 attacks that were made on temples, idols and priests in the past 19 months. ‘Jagan Reddy may be a Christian. But thinking to use power for converting Hindus is wrong. If people in power resort to religious conversions, it amounts to betrayal.’

Mr. Naidu said that he would usually stick to secular statements but could not spare Jaganmohan Reddy considering his utter disregard for the sentiments of other religions and their traditions. One should not show such religious intolerance. ‘Jai Shriram’ slogan was currently resounding in Ayodhya Rama Temple. Similarly, Ramatheertham Rama Temple has always been held in high respect in North Andhra. In such a temple, miscreants beheaded Rama statue but the Government was not taking any steps to catch the culprits.

Mr. Naidu demanded the CM to explain why he had not visited Ramatheertham to express solidarity with the Hindu devotees whose sentiments were badly hurt. Jaganmohan Reddy had his own personal religious sentiments. He would keep the Bible by his side during his swearing in. His palatial residence at Lotus Pond would carry a Cross image on it. But, it appeared that the CM was thinking that the Hindus would not deserve similar sentiments. He should realise that the beheading of Rama statue was a great disgrace to the land.
Stating that all major temples came under attack, Mr. Naidu said that the ruling party middlemen had brought disrepute to Tirumala Temple with their mean and illegal activities. A YCP MLA would fly drones over the Tirumala sky where such an activity was banned. The ruling party leaders had brought in the culture of liquor drinking and meat eating also atop the Seven Hills. The Chief Minister himself would violate the traditions by not bringing his wife during the sacred clothes presentation to the Lord.

The TDP chief deplored that lands and assets were donated to temples for the sake of protecting the Hindu dharma. The Gajapathi Raju family donated 12,000 acres for Simhachalam temple and those lands were worth Rs. 5 Cr to Rs 10 Cr per acre now. The YCP leaders had set their sights on these lands. This was why Ashok Gajapthi Raju, who was known for his honesty and credibility, was removed from the Chairman post. The Jagan regime was busy with the twin tasks of desecrating temples and looting their assets.

Mr. Naidu told the CM that his Government had no right to take away the lands that Hindu devotees donated to the temples over the centuries. The police were behaving irresponsibly and they were filing false cases. Once the TDP would come to power, all these cases would reopen and stringent punishment would be given to the erring police. Even in respect of the Ramatheertham idol beheading incident, the police acted high handedly and allowed only MP Vijay Sai Reddy into the temple but not the priests.

CPI became ‘Chandrababu Party of India’, says Roja

From the CM to Ministers to MLAs, all the YCP leaders are following one single agenda which is to launch counter attacks against rivals. Issues and problems are not the immediate criterion. Counter allegations should get highlighted. Now, RK Roja is using these strategies to the maximum possible extent. She launched a scathing attack on an unlikely rival which is the Communist Party of India (CPI).

It is well known CPI State Secretary Ramakrishna has been raising dissent on each and every programme of the Jagan Reddy regime. His statements have embarrassed the Government the farmers’ suicides, atrocities on BCs, SCs and STs and Muslim Minorities.

Apparently agitated, RK Roja said that the CPI has now turned into the ‘Chandrababu Party of India’ in Andhra Pradesh. CPI Ramakrishna has harmed the prestige of the party by colluding with Naidu. She asked the CPI whether the left party gave lakhs of house site pattas in the States where their parties were in power.

Roja made sarcastic personal remarks against Nara Lokesh and Devineni Uma as well. Whatever, the YCP MLAs and Ministers were switching into an aggressive, offensive mode in order to silence the Opposition rather than debating the issues that were being raised. With far fewer numbers in Assembly, the Opposition too became handicapped to pressurise the Government.

Will Naidu-Pawan reunite for surviving BJP-Jagan threat?

The next two years are going to be a challenging test for the leadership skills of both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Given the emerging political situation in AP, almost all the rival political forces are reaching direct and indirect understandings with the sole objective to hurt the TDP. On the other hand, the BJP wants the alliance with the Jana Sena but is not willing to accept the higher vote share that Pawan has in the State.

Undoubtedly, CM Jagan Reddy has been harbouring a personal level vengeance to crush the political future of Naidu. The BJP is like a hungry lion that is wanting its pound of flesh in the AP voter share. The BJP-Jagan secret deal is indeed a serious threat for Chandrababu. Moreover, Pawan Kalyan is there in the field threatening to split the anti-Jagan vote. The survival of the TDP becomes a question mark if Jagan Reddy wins AP once again and the BJP stands in second place in next elections.
Whereas, Jana Senani Pwan Kalyan’s position is also that bright. His chances are going down day by day under the looming shadow of the BJP. It has become clear that the BJP will allow Pawan to grow any further. The only choice left for Senani is to break ties with the BJP and join Chandrababu. Analysts say Naidu-Pawan alliance will be a fitting answer to Jagan-BJP secret tie-up. It cannot be ruled out that the TDP and the Jana Sena may reunite for the sake of their own survival.

Naidu condemns lathicharge on Balaji devotees

The ongoing controversy over restriction of devotees in Tirupati has triggered widespread discontent. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has slammed the YCP Government for ‘miserably failing’ to take necessary measures for ensuring smooth and peaceful darshan for the devotees at the Balaji Temple in Tirumala. He condemned the lathicharge resorted to by the police on the pilgrims who were also not allowed to go to the temple atop Tirumala hills. The devotees came from far off places for the darshan but the Government ill treated them and caused a lot of embarrassment and pain.

The TDP chief asked why the authorities did not take action to prevent the unruly and noisy YCP activists who held processions in violation of the restrictions on the Seven Hills. The security officials should answer why they did initiate any action when the ruling party cadres flew even drones in the sacred sky at the TTD temple.

Naidu deplored that the prestige of the highly revered Tirumala temple was being tarnished and spoilt ever since the YCP came to power in the State. He told the Government that every citizen and devotee had a right to have darshan at the TTD temple. The YCP regime should set aside its arrogant and illogical publicity propaganda. All the required steps should be taken immediately for a safe and smooth darshan to the devotees at the Tirumala temple.

Pawan’s loss will be Chandrababu gain in Tirupati

Not all is well in the BJP-Pawan Kalyan alliance right now. The differences have almost reached a point of no return. Neither party is willing to lose the chance to contest in the Tirupati bypoll. It has become a prestigious byelection as it will set the mood for the Jamili election to be held in just two years or less. What happens if the gap between Jana Sena and BJP widens further without a chance for reconciliation?

Rumours are already going round that it will give a chance for new political realignments in AP. Chandrababu Naidu is eager for any type of adjustment with the BJP alone or with the BJP-Jana Sena alliance as well. In the past, the TDP gave Tirupati Lok Sabha seat ticket to the BJP as part of their alliance. As a result, the BJP won Tirupati LS seat in 1999. At that time, the BJP got 48.89 percent vote share as against Congress party’s 47.31 percent.

Analysts are not ruling out surprise developments at the last minute in the present Tirupati bypoll. If the Jagan Sena contests separately, there is a new chance that the TDP may offer the ticket to the BJP. This will pave the way for patching up the old differences between Modi-Shah and Chandrababu Naidu. Indeed, Tirupati bypoll is going to be an exciting election battle.

Peddireddy dares Naidu for referendum on Tirupati bypoll

YCP’s daring Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy gave a strong counter to former CM Chandrababu Naidu who challenged for a referendum on the Jagan Reddy’s 3 Capitals plan yesterday. Peddireddy now threw a counter challenge to Naidu whether the TDP chief is ready for a referendum on the Tirupati byelection. Both the TDP and the YCP were making all out strategies and preparations to win the bypoll without fail. The TDP is hopeful of winning the seat by taking advantage of anti-Government feelings but the YCP is confident of its strong voter base there.

Probably with that confidence only, Peddireddy has asserted that Chandrababu Naidu should have to take political sanyas after the Tirupati byelection. The TDP is certain to face defeat once again here. If the TDP chief has any courage, he should accept the challenge for treating this bypoll as a referendum.

Peddireddy further attacked the TDP, saying that the people had long back realised and rejected the betrayal politics of Chandrababu Naidu. The AP voters had already given their verdict against Naidu by giving 151 out of the total 175 assembly seats in the 2019 election. That referendum was enough to reject Naidu permanently. Once again, Chandrababu would have to face defeat in the Tirupati bypoll undoubtedly.

‘Naidu encouraging misuse of legal provisions against police’

The members of Andhra Pradesh Police Officers’ Association (APPOA) on Thursday accused Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N. Chandrababu Naidu of encouraging the misuse of legal provisions against policemen.

“In a video conference, former Chief Minister Naidu encouraged filing false cases against policemen so that they are compelled to come for a bargain,” said an APPOA statement.

The policemen said a person like Naidu, who served as the Chief Minister for three terms, cannot stoop to such low levels.

They said that such statements from Naidu shows his faithlessness in law and related institutions.

“Naidu should be reminded that people who encourage crime will also be considered as criminals,” said the policemen.

The association members apprised him that several technological initiatives have been introduced to enable the police to offer their services to the common man and weaker sections of the society.

“At the national level, we are ahead in offering the best services and are proud of it. Instead of appreciating the department, you are insulting us,” they reminded Naidu.

The policemen have also expressed their displeasure over Naidu regularly targeting their chief, Director General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang.

“Your statements expose the belittling view you have on police and reflects your mental state,” the policemen highlighted, saying that they are recalling the struggles they were subjected to during Naidu’s regime.

The policemen categorically stated to Naidu that his statements and threats will not scare or demoralise them.

“People are observing your irresponsible statements. It is okay even if you do not appreciate the police department’s services, but at least recognise them,” they appealed to Naidu.

This is not the first time that APPOA has issued a letter like this.

Recently, it condemned some political forces for trying to communalise and politicise a pre-Christmas celebration by few off-duty traffic policemen in Vijayawada.

“When we did Ayudhapuja during Dasara, nobody pointed a finger at us but when a small off-duty Christmas celebration was held, some people were politicising it,” a police officer told IANS.

He said that Andhra Pradesh police are dedicated to serve everybody, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

Naidu offers to quit politics if Jagan holds referendum

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu challenged Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to withdraw his 3 Capitals or go for a referendum seeking public opinion on Amaravati as the only Capital of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Naidu offered to quit politics forever if Jagan Reddy’s 3 Capitals plan received public sympathy or support from any section of society in the State. Amaravati is located at a central point in AP with six districts and 12 parliamentary constituencies on one side and another six districts and 12 parliamentary constituencies on the other side.
The TDP chief addressed the ‘Jana Bheri’ public meeting organised by Amaravati Parirakshana JAC in the Capital City area. Even the media surveys witnessed 80 percent respondents giving their choice for Amaravati. Whereas, the Chief Minister was going ahead with his dangerous 3 cards game with the farmers who sacrificed over 34,000 acres of their ancestral lands. Without any credibility, Jagan Reddy was now saying at the BC Sankranthi meeting that Amaravati agitation was being run by businessmen with real estate interests. In fact, the CM was himself a misguided businessman bent on destroying the Capital City and the State as well.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu deplored that over Rs. 10,000 Cr was spent already for developing basic infrastructure in the Capital City area but the atrocious Ministers and MLAs were describing it as a desert and a burial ground. The fake Chief Minister gave kisses to the voters at the time of elections but now he was giving blow after blow to all sections of people. In course of time, Amaravati would have the potential to create a wealth of Rs. 1 lakh Cr to Rs. 2 lakh Cr for the people of the entire state. No sane person would take the decision to shift Capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.

Modi Delhi project similar to Amaravati, says Naidu

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the new Parliament complex project as an important milestone in the independent democratic history of India. Mr. Naidu congratulated the PM on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Parliament building in Delhi today. He said that the Central Government’s ‘Central Vista’ project would represent the aspirations of India as a whole considering its significance in putting in place an effective centralized administration.

The ‘Central Vista’ project would bring together the scattered departments at one place and thereby it would cut red tape in the overall governance of the country. The Centre’s ‘Central Vista’ was similar to the ‘Central Spine’ which was aimed at bringing together a centralised administrative ecosystem in Amaravati Capital. The Government Complex in Amaravati was envisioned as a keystone building uniting Raj Bhavan, Legislature, High Court, Secretariat, Heads of Departments, etc in one place.

Mr. Naidu asserted that Amaravati sought to bring together the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh to create wealth for the state and the country. “Amaravati now stands ruined, all its potential drained due to an ill-conceived plan of the incumbent state government.”

The TDP chief slammed the present Government’s thoughtless plan for the plight of AP Capital. Eventually, all such ulterior plans would not succeed since “Amaravati is God’s will and destiny will find its own course.”

Naidu letter to Jagan for mobile mineral water in Eluru

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, saying that there were rising fears over the presence of heavy metals like lead and nickel in the drinking water. The Government should immediately address these concerns and ensure proper drinking water supply through mobile mineral water plants and such measures.

Mr. Naidu said that the presence of heavy metals would have a serious impact on the health of pregnant women, children and the aged people. Hence, every resident in the town should be given electronic health cards. Every patient should be monitored on a long-term basis. The best medical care should be provided with the help of national and international medical experts. A scientific study of the Eluru illness should be made in order to find out the root cause.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu reiterated his party demand for ‘health emergency’ so that all necessary steps could be taken to create confidence among the people and the patients. Protected drinking water was every citizen’s right and it was the duty of the Government. The Supreme Court had upheld the right to water as a fundamental right. Article 21 of the Constitution also said the same. It was unfortunate that the AP Government had failed to ensure protected drinking water and proper sanitation.

The TDP chief expressed serious concern over the rising cases in Eluru. Over six to seven hundred people had fallen sick and were admitted to hospitals in just five to six days. Alarmingly, the symptoms of the patients were changing each day. There were increasing fears over lack of immediate reasons for the mass affliction in the town.

Mr. Naidu strongly objected to the Jagan regime for not opening a ‘helpline’ for the victims of the Eluru illness till now. A ‘special control room’ should be set up immediately. The best medical care should be provided to all those patients who have similar symptoms like fits, frothing, fatigue, etc. ‘Quick response teams’ should be formed. There was a need for an urgent relief and assistance mechanism.

The TDP demanded immediate health and life insurance for every patient in Eluru. Their health profile should be closely monitored in order to avoid any future complications. In addition to Eluru, cleaning of water tanks and drinking water sources should be taken up in all towns, villages and cities across the State. Tests should be conducted on drinking water samples periodically.

There was a need for special drives on safe drinking water supply in order to prevent recurrence of incidents like Eluru illness. All focus should be given to sanitation and cleanliness at water bodies, reservoirs, tanks, drinking water pipelines, water taps and so on. Special care should be given to protected water. Trust should be created among the people in Eluru and in all other parts of the State.

Chandrababu sent to underground drainage by voters: Kodali

The Eluru mystery illness and its continuing impact on people has brought a new kind of politics before the people. This is counter allegations between the ruling and the opposition parties on the drainage systems. Minister Kodali Nani has taken strong objection to the remarks made by former CM Chandrababu Naidu who has said that earlier today that the YCP Government has not even ensured cleaning of drainage systems. This was why the outbreak of mystery disease took place in Eluru.

In a sharp reaction, Nani went on hurling abuses on the TDP chief, saying that Chandrababu Naidu was like a curse hanging on the head of the Telugu Desam Party. Without any proper logic, Mr. Naidu was wrongly politicising the Eluru incident. Nani further said that the cheap politics of Chandrababu Naidu had upset so much that the voters had sent to the underground drainage never to recover from that.

These days, CM Jaganmohan Reddy has been using Minister Nani exclusively to attack Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh once again. Several incidents were coming up one by one embarrassing the Government like the cyclone, Eluru disease, etc. Every time the TDP chief tried to corner the YCP, Kodali Nani was coming to the forefront to issue aggressive counters.
