Naidu’s house attachment, court reserves judgment

0

The ACB court in Vijayawada had reserved the judgment on attachment of Chandrababu Naidu’s house on the banks of river Krishna in Undavalli. The ACB court heard the arguments from both sides for two days and posted the judgment to June 2.

The State government had authorized the AP CID to attach the house of Chandrababu Naidu, which was originally owned by businessman Lingamaneni Ramesh. Naidu lived in the house as chief minister and continues to stay there even as opposition leader.

The CID alleged that Naidu got this house as a gift from the businessman for exempting his lands in Amaravati from the inner ring road. The lands owned by the Lingamaneni family and some extent of the land owned by Heritage Foods fall outside the inner ring road in the master plan of Amaravati, which was prepared by the TDP regime when Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister.

The CID said that the Lingamaneni family gifted the house to Chandrababu Naidu for the favour that he had done to them.

On these charges and equipped with the GO issued by the government authorizing the CID to attach the house, the CID had approached the ACB court in Vijayawada for permission. The court heard the arguments of the counsel for the CID and others.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu said that the house belonged to the Lingamaneni family, and he had rented it paying monthly rent. He also alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy was playing vindictive politics and going for destruction in the state.

Naidu alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy had destroyed the plans of Amaravati which would have been the sixth best city in the country. He said that Amaravati was planned to be the self-financing city and Jagan destroyed it for political reasons.

YSRCP leaders are resorting to cheap politics, says Chandrababu

0

Observing that the YSRCP leaders are resorting to cheap and useless politics, former chief minister and TDP national president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday said “We will continue fair and gentle politics if the ruling party is decent or we will move ahead by crushing them.”

Paying rich tributes to the founder of the TDP, the late NT Rama Rao, on the occasion of his birth centenary, Chandarbabu Naidu recalled the services to Telugu society after floating the party. “From the street corner to Time Square in New York city, the photos of the Late NTR are on display,” the TDP supremo remarked.

Issuing a strong warning from the dais on the second and concluding day of Mahanadu to those who are subjecting to TDP cadre to harassment, Chandrababu announced that the party will always stand by the cadre. “The TDP will chase those who are now harassing the TDP leaders and cadre,” he added.

Maintaining that it is the TDP that created assets in the State, the former chief minister said that several economic reforms have been implemented during the TDP regime. Despite Rs 16,000 cr deficit budget, several welfare programmes were implemented and the pension was increased from Rs 200 to Rs 2000 while the lopan scheme too was successfully implemented, Chandrababu observed.

“I proposed Amaravathi only with the intention that the Telugu people should have an excellent capital and took up Polavaram project works only to see to it that every acre should have irrigation water supply. During my tenure 72 per cent of the project works have been completed,” the TDP supremo said.

Recalling that 16 lakh agreements were entered into with various companies and 5.50 lakh jobs were created, Chandrababu felt that this is the reason as to why the youth want the TDP back in power.

Expressing serious concern that the State is moving backwards due to the psycho rule, he said that the ruling party leaders tried to create several hurdles to Mahanadu. “The YSRCP leaders are resorting to cheap politics,” he said and added that the State suffered a lot in the YSRCP rule.

“Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has imposed a whooping Rs 5 lakh cr burden on the people in the shape of various taxes and the State is now in Rs 10 lakh cr debts,” he said. Chandrababu said that the war now is not between the poor and the rich and it is not a caste war but a cash war.

While the assets of all the Chief Ministers in the country is just Rs 510 cr, the total assets of Jagan alone is Rs 508 cr, he said and asked how did he earn so much money. “I am assuring you that these money earned through sand and liquor mafia and through settlements will be distributed to the people once the TDP is into ruling again,” Chandarbabu Naidu declared.

Observing that the State revenue has completely fallen so low due to the destructive rule, he felt that the future of the youth too is in dilemma now. The farmers too are suffering , he said, stating that the days of Jagan are numbered. “I am declaring from this Mahanadu platform that Mr Jagan will not come back to power and the State needs the TDP very badly,” he added.

Demanding Jagan’s reply on the murderof his paternal uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy, the TDP supremo said that the YSRCP leaders alway ensure that only rowdies attend their public meetings. “It is the money power of Jagan while the TDP has the people’s strength. Our’s is a vision politics while the YSRCP’s is prison politics,” Chandrababu remarked.

The upcoming elections are a war like Kurukshetra, the TDP national president said and asked the party cadre to get ready for this. From Mahanadu, Chandrababu Naidu announced the agenda for the coming elections with several welfare programmes.

Chandrababu announces various schemes to be implemented after coming back to power

0

Former chief minister and TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is confident of the party coming back to power in the coming Assembly elections and on Sunday he announced various welfare schemes to be implemented for different sections soon after reassuming power.

Addressing the TDP’s Mahanadu on the second and concluding day on Sunday, Chandrababu Naidu named the schemes as Guarantee for Future (Bhavishyathuku Guarantee). He promised to pay Rs 1500 each every month for all the women who have completed 18 years of age which means Rs 18,000 per annum and Rs 90,000 in five years.

Chandrababu said that under the Talliki Vandanam Salute to Mother) scheme every mother will be paid Rs 15,000 per annum and three cylinders will be supplied to every family under the Deepam scheme. The TDP supremo promised to ensure free transport for all women in the State once the TDP forms the government again.

Amid huge applause, Chandrababu Naidu said that 20 lakh posts will be filled in various government wings for the youth under the Yuva Galam scheme and till the youth get employment an allowance of Rs 3,000 each will be paid every month as Yuva Galam fund. Observing that it was the farmer who struggled hard even during the Corona pandemic, Chandrababu Naidu said that the coming TDP government will pay Rs 20,000 to each farmer every year to meet the agriculture expenditure.

Assuring the people that safe drinking water will be supplied to every door-step in the State, the former chief minister promised to bring in a legislation for the safety and security of the Backward Classes (BCs). Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deep desire to make the poor as rich, he called upon the TDP leaders and huge party cadre gathered at the Mahanadu to strive hard to achieve this goal of making the poor as rich.

Chandrababu is a visionary while Jagan is a prisoner, says Lokesh

0

TDP supremo and former chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is a visionary while Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is a prisoner, commented TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday.

Addressing the ongoing Mahanadu on the second and concluding day on Sunday, Lokesh termed Chandrababu Naidu as a hero while Jagan as a zero. Before the last Assembly elections Jagan acted as a soft leader but after coming to power he became a psycho and this is the reason as to why he is named as psycho Jagan, remarked Lokesh.

Recalling the services rendered by late NT Rama Rao as the chief minister of the State, Lokesh said that it was NT Rama Rao who introduced the schemes like Rs 2 a kg rice, pucca houses, janata clothes, mid-day meal and several other such schemes to the country. While NTR, who floated the Telugu Desam Party has history, Chandrababu Naidu has the calibre to run the State, he remarked.

It is Naidu who has created history by building the Hitech City in Hyderabad and clearly defined what is development by encouraging several companies to set up their units in the State like Kia Motors, HCL and TCL, Lokesh observed. Chandrababu introduced several welfare schemes like Chandranna Bheema, Pelli Kanuka, loan waiver for farmers, Pasupu Kunkuma and many such schemes besides introducing Anna Canteens to provide food to the poor, he added.

Lokesh said that Chandrababu means development while Jagan means destruction. Jagan, who came to power by appealing to the people to give him a chance has become the richest Chief Minister in the country, he said.

While Chandrababu has built pucca TIDCO houses Jagan washed off his hands by distributing a cent land each for the poor, Lokesh said, adding that it is the TDP that has spent Rs 150 cr during its regime for the welfare of the party cadre. “If any party worker is in trouble I am here to come to the rescue of such workers and I will not leave those who are creating troubles to the TDP cadre,” Lokesh maintained.

Stating that the time has come to bury the Raja Reddy constitution, Lokesh gave a call that ‘psycho should go and cycle should be back’. The TDP national general secretary observed that late NT Rama Rao will remain as a true legend even for one thousand years.

State revenue hit hard due to Jagan’s destructive rule, says Naidu

0

The State revenue affected very badly during the destructive rule of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, said former chief minister and TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday and called upon the intellectuals to ponder over how the State is adversely hit in this psycho and Tuglaq rule.

Speaking at Mahanadu, Chandrababu Naidu felt that the revenue of AP was once much higher than Telangana but now it has fallen so low. From day one, the Jagan Reddy government has been functioning with the sole aim of destroying the State, the former chief minister remarked.

Pointing out that in 2019 the revenue of Andhra Pradesh was Rs 66786 cr while that of Telangana was Rs 69620 cr, Naidu said that by 2022-23 the AP revenue was Rs 94916 cr and the Telangana revenue grew to Rs 1321175 cr. This means the revenue of Telangana is Rs 37,259 cr more than AP, he said.

Had all the projects, including Amaravati, been completed AP would have flourished well, the TDP supremo said and added that in 2019 the revenue through GST in AP was Rs 24957 cr while in Telangana it was Rs 18779 cr, Rs 6,000 cr more revenue in AP than Telangana. However, by 2022-23 the GST revenue in AP was Rs 38840 cr as against Rs 41888 cr in Telangana. All this because there are no business activities in AP, he felt.

The revenue through registrations wing was Rs 5427 cr in AP during 2018-19 while in Telangana it was Rs 5344 cr and in 2022-23 the revenue through the same department was Rs 8022 cr as against Rs 14228 cr in Telangana, Naidu pointed out. In the sales tax too, the AP revenue in 2018-19 was Rs 21914 cr while that of Telangana Rs 20290 cr and by 2022-23 the revenue through sales tax in Andhra Pradesh was Rs 18,004 cr as against Rs 29,604 cr in Telangana, he added.

This clearly indicates that the revenue in AP has come down by Rs 4,000 cr by 2023 than that of 2019 while in Telangana the revenue went up by nearly Rs 10,000 cr during the same period. All this because of the reverse rule of Jagan, he said.

TDP flag is pillar for Telugu community across globe, says Chandrababu

0

The TDP flag is a backbone for the Telugu community across the globe while the front wheel of the party symbol, the cycle, means welfare while the rear wheel means development, observed TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday.

Addressing the two-day Mahanadu on the opening day at Rajamahendravaram Chandrababu Naidu said the ongoing conclave is something special as there is much enthusiasm and energy in the party cadre. “If some people come in the way, let us move ahead by crushing them,” Mr Chandrababu called upon the party leaders and the cadre who attended the Mahanadu.

Observing that late NT Rama Rao, the founder of the TDP, brought global recognition for the Telugu society, the party national president said, “We are descendants of such a great leader.” Stating that Rajahmundray is the platform for the Telugu culture and traditions, Chandrababu said that this is the land wherein the great poet Nannayya trekked while the historic personality, Kandukuri Veeresalingam is born here and the historic personality Sir Arthur Cotton lived at this place.

Maintaining that this Mahanadu is historic as on the one hand the centenary birth anniversary of the Late NT Rama Rao and on the other 42 year long travel of the TDP, Chandrababu gave a call to the party leaders and c adre to take the Telugu society to the top level in the world. “Yellow is an auspicious colour and people are becoming enthusiastic on seeing the party flag,” he remarked.

Pointing out that the cadre and the leaders have made several sacrifices in the past four years without getting scared of arrests and attacks, the TDP supremo said that he will always stand by the cadre as a member of their family. “I am saluting you all for firmly standing by the party despite illegal attacks on all of you all these years. I am taking the responsibility to come to your rescue in future and I am assuring you all from this platform that I will stand by you all,” Chandrababu stated.

Making it clear that the TDP is ready to face the elections even if they are held much in advance or as per schedule, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said that the party should always work to create assets and distribute them for the poor. “Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sole aim is that only he should be rich, but my aim is that the poor should become rich and the drivers for this is the TDP cadre,” he maintained.

With the introduction of technology there is no gap between the leaders and the cadre, the former chief minister said that the coming war is like Kurukshetra, and the cadre should strive to defeat the Kauravas. The TDP supremo said that all major issues will come for discussion in the two-day conclave.

Investors not confident about investing in Andhra: Chandrababu

0

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday alleged that not a single investor is confident about investing in Andhra Pradesh.

He slammed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over Andhra Pradesh slipping to the 14th position among states in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flow.

The former Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh which was once among the top 5 Indian states attracting FDIs, has now nosedived to the bottom of the list and ranks 14th.

The leader of opposition alleged that India’s richest Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is only concerned about his own wealth and PR.

“He doesn’t care about FDIs or the jobs they can create for the youth of AP. AP deserves better,” Naidu said in a tweet.

According to the information shared by the Centre in Parliament in March this year, Andhra Pradesh attracted FDI to the tune of $511.7 million between October 2019 and March 2022.

Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat held the top three positions in FDI equity inflow.

People are feeling totally insecure now, says Chandrababu

0

Though it is almost four years since Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister of the State not even a single person is feeling happy, observed former chief minister and TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday.

Addressing a huge gathering at Pendurthy as part of his ‘Idemi Kharma Mana Rashtraniki’ programme, Chandrababu Naidu said that not only the people are unhappy in the YSRCP rule but even no security for their properties.

Profusely thanking the people of North Andhra for their support to the TDP all these years, the former chief minister called upon them to stand by the party now to save the State from these forces.

Observing that he has reached Visakhapatnam much before the Hud Hud cyclone, the TDP supremo stated that the situation now is that people are discussing the situation in Visakhapatnam before and after Hud Hud cyclone.

Visakhapatnam was earlier known for peace and progress but today the city is now totally in disturbed situation as the ruling party leaders are resorting to all kinds of atrocities.

Pointing out that the voters favoured the TDP in the recent elections held for the Graduates constituency in the State Legislative Council, Chandrababu Naidu said the money and muscle power of the YSRCP did not work in the polls.

”It is not Kuppam, Jagan should now see to it that he wins Pulivendula,” the TDP supremo remarked.

Stating that Jagan has till now built four houses, he said all the money that he has earned is only by looting the people.

The police officials were once working without any pressure but now they adopting some wrong path sometimes now due to heavy pressure from this psycho, he said.

Naidu cautions party leaders on internal squabbles

0

TDP supremo and former chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, warned the party leaders on internal discipline. He took serious note of two groups fighting openly in Nandyala during party general secretary Nara Lokesh Yuva Galam padayatra.

Two groups headed by former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and senior leader A V Subba Reddy clashed during the padayatra on Tuesday. Subba Reddy received bleeding injuries in the attack by Akhila Priya’s group. He is currently being treated in the local government general hospital.

Chandrababu Naidu directed the party disciplinary committee to issue a show cause notice to Akhila Priya for the attack. Naidu alleged that some YSR Congress activists are entering the TDP programmes to create trouble. He cautioned the party leaders to watch out for the people at every gathering of the party.

The police booked a case against Akhila Priya and arrested her on Wednesday for the attack on Subba Reddy. She was shifted to the Panyam police station. Later they were produced in the Nandyala district court. The court sent them for the 14-day judicial remand. She was shifted to Kurnool district jail.

Meanwhile, Subba Reddy’s daughter Jaswanthi released a video condemning the attack on her father. She said she would work to defeat Akhila Priya in the coming elections. She appealed to the party leadership not to give ticket to Akhila Priya.

She also wanted the TPD leadership to give the party ticket to her father Subba Reddy. She further said that she is also ready to contest the next elections, if the party nominated her.

Lokesh completes 100 days of Padayatra, Naidu greets son

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh completed his 100 days of Yuva Galam padayatra on Sunday. He also completed 1269 kilometres of marathon walk by the day.

Party chief Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Lokesh on completing the first 100 days of the padayatra. Naidu tweeted on his twitter handle saying “My best wishes to Nara Lokesh on completing 100 days of Yuvagalam. I am sure the time he spent on the road would have brought him closure to see and feel the real problems of people. Many more miles to go.”

Earlier on Sunday, speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said that “The coming TDP government will accord top priority to forest protection and separate funds will be allocated for this purpose. We will certainly be partners on the ‘Save the Tiger’ campaign.”

As Lokesh’s pada yatra, Yuva Galam, entered the Velugodu forest area, the representatives of the ‘Save the Tiger’ campaign and the Assistant Director of the India Wildlife Conservation Society, met him and discussed the steps to be taken for the protection of tigers in the forest region. Thanking Lokesh for becoming a partner in the ‘Save the Tiger’ campaign, they brought to his notice the steps initiated by other States to develop tiger ecotourism circuit and to protect tigers.

Stressing the need to protect forests, tigers and other wild animals, Lokesh said the coming TDP government will certainly encourage eco-tourism. “I am personally interested in this as I know how other countries like Singapore are focussing on eco-tourism,” he added. The coming TDP government will certainly work towards giving better living standards for the people of the State, Lokesh noted.

Observing that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is looting the State, Lokesh said that the sand mafia is ruling the roost now. “During Chandrababu Naidu regime several developmental works were taken up following which the construction workers were busy. Now there is no work for all of you due to which you are struggling to earn your livelihood,” he remarked and assured them that once the TDP forms the next government all the necessary steps will be taken to provide full employment to them.

Andhra Pradesh government attaches Chandrababu Naidu’s guest house

0

The Andhra Pradesh government has attached a guest house of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on the banks of Krishna river at Undavalli near Vijayawada.

The property was attached in accordance with the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1944, as Naidu, while serving as Chief Minister, allegedly misused his position and resorted to quid pro quo. The CID alleged that Naidu and former Municipal Administration Minister P. Naryana had misused their authority.

The home department issued the attachment orders after informing the local ACB court.

According to the CID, Naidu and Narayana had resorted to irregularities in the alignment of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) master plan, and inner ring road and in return, took into possession the guest house of Lingamaneni Ramesh. The probe into the allegations established that they had flouted all laws, guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission and general fiscal norms in the matter.

Apart from the guest house, the CID also attached the properties of Narayana’s relatives to a extent of 75,880 square feet, and their money in bank accounts.

It was also alleged that Naidu had secured assets with Lingamaneni Ramesh as his benami and favoured the latter by changing the alignment of the inner ring road to benefit him, besides changing the master plan to improve the value of his assets at the cost of the farmers.

Meanwhile, the TDP has found fault with the move of YSRCP government. It alleged that the government was acting with political vendetta towards the Leader of the Opposition.

Soon after coming to power in 2019, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government had demolished Praja Vedika, a government structure built as an extension to Naidu’s residence on the banks of Krishna river, citing violation of norms.

Why Govt till now not officially declared crop loss in untimely rains, asks Chandrababu

0

Stating that the crop loss this time is unprecedented due to untimely rains, former chief minister and TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday asked as to why the State Government has till now not declared the loss officially.

Addressing a massive gathering who actively participated in the ‘Rythu Poru Bata’ from Iragavaram to Tanuku, Chandrababu Naidu felt that the State Government should at least realise on learning about this huge gathering in the Poru Bata.

“The post of the Chief Minister is a responsibility. Who can react timely during the crisis is called a leader,” the TDP supremo stated.

Is it not the Chief Minister who should first visit the affected farmers, asked Chandrababu and remarked that he toured the area for three days only to awake the Government that is in deep sleep.

“We are only asking to pay some ex gratia for the damaged crop but not demanding the moon,” he said and felt that this ‘psycho’ Chief Minister is solely responsible for this damage.

Calling upon the farming community to get awakened and start revolting against this unruly administration, Chandrababu Naidu said even during the Carona pandemic only farmers discharged their duties.

“Does a person who can not respond to the farmers’ problems have the right to rule the State,” the former chief minister asked.

Observing that he toured the rain-hit areas for three days to have first hand information on the crop damage and on the problems being faced by the farming community, the TDP supremo expressed surprise as to why the grain purchase, which is supposed to begin on April 1, has not started yet.

Pointing out that gunny bags too have not been supplied yet, he asked why the Government failed to alert the farmers on the untimely rains. “It is really sad that the farmers had to spend sleepless nights to protect their crops and the local YSRCP leaders are making money even in supply of gunny bags now,” the TDP supremo added.

“Though the 72-hour deadline set for the Government to purchase grain has already ended and the ruling party leaders, instead of responding to the main demand, are resorting to war of words on me,” Chandrababu remarked. A person who killed his own paternal uncle gets only this kind of ideas, he felt.

Chandrababu Naidu is of the opinion that the Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) have turned out to be cheating centres.

“From here I am posing several questions to this Government. What is the total crop damage due to the untimely rains, how farmers are affected and why the State Government has till now not officially announced the quantum of damage,” the former chief minister said.

Two YSRCP vehicles enter Naidu’s convoy

0

There was a breach of security in former chief minister and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy on Thursday. Two vehicles belonging to the ruling YSR Congress leaders, entered Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy, as security personnel remained silent.

This happened when Chandrababu Naidu was going to Tanuku in West Godavari district on Thursday from his home in Undavalli. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to participate in an agitation programme in Tanuku on Friday in support of the farmers.

Chandrababu Naidu had visited the Godavari districts last week and consoled the farmers who were badly hit by the untimely rains. The standing crops and harvested crops too were damaged due to rains. He demanded that the government procure the damaged crops and pay compensation to the farmers.

In support of the demand, the TDP chief was going to Tanuku, when two vehicles belonging to the ruling party leaders joined the convoy. The two vehicles entered the convoy at Unguturu in Eluru district. The vehicles continued in the convoy till Tadepalli Gudem of West Godavari district.

The escort police who were following the convoy did not object to the two vehicles entering the convoy and remained silent. The vehicles left the convoy at Tadepalli Gudem. The police are now investigating the security breach and are trying to find out the details of the two vehicles.

Naidu to announce party candidates at Mahanadu?

0

There is a strong rumour doing rounds in Andhra Pradesh political circles that TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to announce the list of party candidates for the 2024 general election at the party’s annual meet, Mahanadu.

This year, the TDP leadership had decided to hold the Mahanadu at Rajamahendravaram for two days on May 27 and 28. While the first day would be dedicated to the delegates meeting and introduction of some policy papers, the second day would be dedicated to passing of resolutions and public meeting at the end of the day.

Chandrababu Naidu for the first time, wants to use the occasion to announce the names of the party candidates contesting the 2024 general election. However, sources say that the list would contain about 50 names and would be called the first list.

Interestingly, Chandrababu Naidu and party general secretary Nara Lokesh have announced some names in the recent past. Naidu had announced some names during his visits to the districts as part of his “Idem Kharma Rastraniki” (What is this fate for the state?) programme.

On his part, Lokesh is announcing the names during his Yuva Galam padayatra. The two have made these announcements in consultation with each other. Sources say that the two leaders have so far announced about 50 names for the 50 assembly constituencies, which would be compiled and announced at the Mahanadu.

Chandrababu Naidu usually announces the party candidates list in the eleventh hour. There was no occasion when the TDP released its candidates list at the Mahanadu. Whatever be the consideration, if Naidu announces the list at the Mahanadu, it would certainly be a record in the history of the party.

It is to be seen if this political talk becomes a reality and Naidu announces the list of the party candidates at the Rajamahendravaram Mahanadu.

Naidu gives ultimatum to Jagan on purchase of damaged farm products

0

Former chief minister and TDP president, N Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday issued an ultimatum to Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, on purchase of moisturised farm products.

“I am giving you 72 hours’ time to make a decision on the purchase of these farm products that got totally wet in the recent untimely rains. I will come back again after that to announce my plan of action,” Naidu said after visiting the areas where the standing crop got damaged in the recent rains. Where is Jagan and is it not the responsibility of the Chief Minister to visit the farmers when they are in trouble, asked TDP supremo.

Stating that the farmers suffered heavy losses due to the untimely rains, the former chief minister felt that the millers along with the ruling YSRCP leaders are simply looting the farmers in the State. He asked as to why the millers are collecting money from the farmers.

“Even if the State Government does not purchase the grain with the set deadline of 72 hours, do not get disappointed. If Jagan does not purchase the grain we will take the stocks rto his Tadepalli palace,” Naidu declared.

Asking the farmers to get ready to move to the Chief Minister’s residence in Tadepalli, the TDP supremo told them not to get scared even if cases are filed against them. Naidu made it clear that the fight will continue till the State Government comes to the rescue of the affected farmers.

Maintaining that the farmers had to suffer heavily due to the inefficiency of the State Government, the former chief minister said that the agriculturists want compensation as their crops got completely damaged in the untimely rains.

“I have come here to repose certain confidence among the farmers and the police officials, without wearing their name badges, are threatening the ryots. We will stand by the affected till justice is done for them,” Chandrababu remarked.

Making an appeal to the farmers not to resort to suicides, Naidu assued them that he will continue his agitation till they get the compensation. “I will be back after 72 hours only to take the war path. I will show how the war will be,” he added.

Chandrababu demands Jagan’s response on compensation to rain-hit farmers

0

Former chief minister and TDP supremo, N Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday demanded that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, announce how much compensation will be paid for the farmers for crop damage in the untimely rains and when the farm products will be purchased by the Government.

Chandrababu Naidu visited the areas where the paddy is being arid that got totally moisturised in the recent heavy rains in Ramachandrapuram Assembly segment in East Godavari district. The paddy farmers were serious about the negligence being adopted by the State Government in coming to their rescue.

Asking Jagan to come out openly on the decision on the crop damage in the recent untimely rains, Chandrababu said that 40 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been harvested in Rabi of which major portion is still in the fields.

Pointing out that the earlier State governments were paying crop insurance, he said that when Jagan, without paying the insurance premium to the organisation, had misled the Assembly that he had already paid the premium.

“When I staged a dharna sitting at the podium inside the Assembly, he paid the premium overnight. Had he paid the insurance premium, the farmers would have got some relief,” Chandrababu said. Observing that the farmers had already suffered during Kharif, he stated that the untimely rains now too caused serious damage to them.

The State stood in the second position in the country in suicides of tenant farmers, the TDP president said, adding that of the tenant farmers majority belong to SC, ST and BC communities. “The situation has come to such a pass that the padd farmers have to hang themselves,” Chandrababu regretted.

Though gunny bags should be distributed from April 1 they have not been supplied yet, he said and stated that till now only 5.75 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased.

“When the Hurricane cyclone hit the State, as the chief minister of the State I stayed in Rajahmundry for 10 days to oversee the relief operations and went back only after I ensured that the relief reached the flood-hit. Today the farmer is in deep trouble but Mr Jagan is not coming out of Tadepalli palace,” the former chief minister remarked.

Why Jagan did not visit rain-hit farmers till now, asks Naidu

0

Though rains are badly affecting the farmers in various parts of the State, why Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has till now not visited even a single affected farmer, asked former chief minister and TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday.

Chandrababu Naidu, along with TDP leaders is on a tour to the combined West Godavari district on Thursday and personally visited the standing crop in Unguturu affected by the untimely rains. Narrating their problems, the farmers told Chandrababu that besides the untimely rains they are suffering losses due to the faulty policies of the State Government and that they did not even get the bags for storing the farm products.

Stating that there are various wings that alert the Government on the rains, the former chief minister felt that when a totally inefficient Chief Minister rules the State the situation will be no better than this.

“When I was the chief minister, I rushed from Hyderabad to the areas affected by the Hud Hud cyclone. Since there was no possibility to visit Visakhapatnam on that day I went by road and that is my commitment,” Chandrababu said and asked whether Jagan has no responsibility to visit the rain-hit areas.

Observing that the farm products should be purchased from the first week of April, the TDP supremo felt that this inefficient Government could not supply even gunny bags to the farmers. “This Chief Minister does not go to the rain-affected areas but shamelessly lays foundation stones for the projects for which we have already laid the foundations,” Chandrababu remarked.

When a local YSRCP woman activist, Julapalli Prabhavathi, told Chandrababu that she has to send her daughter for an examination on Friday, but she does not have even a single pie on hand now, a moved Chandababu Naidu immediately extended financial assistance of Rs 2.30 lakh for her. She said that she committed a blunder by voting for the YSRCP in the last elections and from now onwards she will be a committed TDP activist.

“Julapalli Prabhavathi had worked for the YSRCP in the last elections and had the TDP in power now she would not have faced this kind of situation,” Chandrababu said. A government should function responsibly, but this ruling dispensation has no such commitment, the TDP supremo maintained.

All systems were ruined in Jagan’s reverse rule, says Naidu

0

Former chief minister and TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday came down heavily on the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government stating that the reverse rule has destroyed all the systems in the State.

“Andhra Pradesh, which emerged as the Sunrise State then has now gone totally bankrupt,” Chandrababu Naidu told media persons at the party headquarters. This corrupt Government has kicked out industries and investors only for the sake of commissions due to which there are no employment opportunities for the youth, Chandrababu remarked.

Maintaining that the State Government shamelessly is laying stones for the projects for which already foundations have been laid, the TDP supremo strongly felt that the State will not progress well unless the YSRCP is chased out of Andhra Pradesh. The future of the youth will be in great danger if this party continues to be in ruling, Mr Chandrababu said and predicted that in the coming polls the YSRCP will certainly be wiped out of the political scenario.

Observing that with Vision-2020 a clear plan was formulated to take Andhra Pradesh to number one position in the country by 2021 by utilising all the natural resources, Chandrababu pointed out that the State achieved first place in Ease of Doing Business for four consecutive years.

The TDP acquired 2700 acres for the Bhogapuram airport then and now the airport is being constructed on 2200 acres, Chandrababu Naidu said and asked what happened to the remaining 500 acres. The TDP has the credit of building the first Greenfield Airport in the country in Hyderabad in an extent of 5,000 acres, he said adding that Hyderabad has developed well because of this airport.

Asking as to why the noted film actor, Rajnikath is being blamed for the no fault of his, Chandrababu Naidu said that the then prime minister, Manmohan Singh, the then US president, Bill Clintor and others have praised Hyderabad. It is the TDP that is responsible for Hyderabad to get a place in the world map by developing the city as a knowledge hub, the TDP supremo added.

Naidu appoints MLC Srikanth as incharge of Kuppam

Former chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu appointed MLC Kancharla Srikanth as incharge for the Kuppam Assembly constituency. Chandrababu Naidu also appointed a 23-member committee to assist Srikanth in the constituency.

The move was to check the ruling YSR Congress which has been claiming that it would defeat Naidu in Kuppam in the next election. The TDP chief had already constructed a house in Kuppam town and he and his son Lokesh are in constant touch with the party leaders in the constituency.

Naidu’s recent visit to the constituency was a big hit with a large number of party activists and the general public participating. The electrifying rally infused new lease of life into the party who were upset with the party’s defeat in the municipal and local body elections.

Chandrababu Naidu had toured Kuppam for five times in the last three years and is in touch with the local party leaders. Even Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari and Lokesh’s wife Brahmani are also in touch with the local leaders, giving them the required support.

Chandrababu Naidu had given a fitting counter to the ruling party leaders on Kuppam and gave a counter call to his TDP ranks asking why not Pulivendula. Chandrababu Naidu had set his eyes on Pulivendula Assembly constituency which is now represented by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The party had registered its first victory in Pulivendula with the election of Graduate MLC from here. Local former MLC B Tech Ravi is in full control of the party in Pulivendula and he is said to be getting ready to challenge Jagan Mohan Reddy from Pulivendula in the next election.

With the new initiatives and measures, the TDP cadre in Kuppam is confident now of retaining the seat and sending him to the Assembly from here for the eight consecutive term.
