Tollywood director Vamshi Paidipally directed films like Yevadu, Brundavanam, Oopiri and Maharshi. He recently directed Tamil Superstar Vijay in Varisu. The film ended up as an impressive one in Tamil but the film remained low in Telugu. Vamshi Paidipally takes long breaks between his films. He takes more time to pen the script. Vamshi Paidipally is committed to Dil Raju and he is expected to announce his next project only next year. Vamshi Paidipally started working on the script of his next film recently.

With all the young and leading actors occupied in Telugu, Vamshi Paidipally will have to wait for a long time. Meanwhile, he is focused on the script. Vamshi Paidipally got trolled for his comments in one of his recent interviews. With all the Telugu actors busy with back-to-back films, he is also considering a couple of Tamil actors for his next. Telugu360 was the first to break out the news that Vamshi Paidipally is in talks with Tamil actor Vijay for a bilingual and the project rolls next year. Vamshi is giving final touches for the script and he confirmed the same during one of his recent interviews. Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations are the producers and Vamshi said that the official announcement will be made once the pandemic calms down. The announcement is expected in July this year.

Vijay signed a film in the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar and the shoot commences post-pandemic. Sun Pictures are the producers. Vijay’s film with Vamshi will start rolling after Vijay completes his current project. Vamshi is finalizing the actors and technicians currently.

Gone are the days’ directors doing a bunch of films. The latest trend in Telugu cinema following is that if a director delivers one flop, he would be out of the race. Several directors who raced to the top are struggling for offers and no actor is interested to work with them after a dud. Vamshi Paidipally attended as a special guest for the success meet of Venky Mama. Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya played the lead roles in this emotional family drama.

Vamshi Paidipally spoke out of his heart during the event about how directors are struggling to deliver success with every film. “Unfortunately, we have only one genre which is a commercial genre and it is a mix of all the genres. Making a commercial entertainer is the toughest thing right now. Every director’s last film is only considered these days. There are a lot of people who are waiting for a director’s downfall than success. I congratulate Bobby for blending emotions and entertainment in Venky Mama” said Vamshi.

Finding an apt story is a major issue for director Vamshi Paidipally. Inspiration comes to him from foreign movies. He ripped off “Face/Off” into ‘Yevadu’ and bought remake rights of a French movie to make ‘Oopiri’. Mahesh Babu’s ‘Maharshi’ was loosely based on ‘3 Idiots’. But ‘Maharshi’ became the biggest blockbuster in his career and it cemented his position as one of the leading directors in Tollywood.

During the making of this movie, Mahesh Babu and Vamsi Paidipally hit off well. Their families became friends as well. So, he immediately gave the director another chance. But he was not able to pen the script yet.

Vamsi is seeking more time to get a brilliant script. His writers’ team is now working at the table.

Mahesh Babu needs a successful director to take his next movie to the sets immediately. He has given his agreement to KGF director Prasanth Neel and Vamsi Paidipally but neither of them can start the movie immediately.
