Nellore squabbles reach Tadepalli for settlement

1

The squabbles in the ruling YSR Congress in Nellore district have finally reached Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s camp office in Tadepalli. The chief minister had summoned both former minister P Anil Kumar Yadav and his uncle and local corporator P Rup Kumar Yadav on Monday to his office.

The uncle and the son have been at loggerheads for the past some time. The two leaders have also made open criticism of each other causing much embarrassment to the party leadership and the local activists. They don’t see eye to eye and have been openly fighting against each other.

This is the second time that Jagan Mohan Reddy had asked both the leaders to keep the differences aside and work together for the party. He warned both the leaders of serious action if they fought openly, bringing down the image of the party in the public.

The ruling party in Nellore district is already facing problems with three MLAs openly expressing dissent. Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy were expelled from the party after the recent MLC elections. They have been vocal in criticising the party leadership, leading to their suspension.

Now, the former minister and his uncle are fighting in the public, further lowering the party’s image in the district. Jagan Mohan Reddy held separate meetings with the two leaders at his camp office. He is reportedly taking information from both of them and trying to settle the dispute.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had asked the two leaders to limit their presence to their respective areas and not to make any attempt to overpower the other. The chief minister had also reportedly asked the two leaders not to rush to the media and criticise each other.

The chief minister is understood to have given them final warning and even told them that he would not hesitate to suspend them from the party if they repeat the open criticism of each other. It is to be seen how far the two leaders would remain silent and work for the party.

Nellore deputy mayor warns former minister Anil

0

Internal squabbles in the ruling YSR Congress in Nellore district have come to the fore once again on Saturday. Former minister and Nellore urban sitting MLA, P Anil Kumar Yadav, is facing stiff opposition from his own uncle and Nellore Municipal Corporation deputy mayor Rupa Kumar Yadav.

Both Anil Kumar and Rupa Kumar have locked horns months ago and their fight is open and is known to everyone, including party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. The chief minister himself had intervened and tried unsuccessfully to bring the warring groups together. He tried to cement the relationship between the two leaders in vain.

The difference between the sitting MLA Anil Kumar and the deputy mayor came to the flash point on Friday with some unidentified persons attacking a supporter of the deputy mayor. The deputy mayor visited the injured party activist in the government general hospital and consoled the family.

Later, he alleged that the attack was the handiwork of sitting MLA Anil Kumar. He further alleged that Anil Kumar’s men have attacked his supporter and injured him. “If I start retaliation, no one will be able to take it,” the angry deputy mayor told the media.

He said that the sitting MLA was behind the attack and warned the MLA and his supporters of a fitting reply. “Stop this nonsense or else, I will start giving you back,” the deputy mayor said, giving a tough warning to his nephew and former minister Anil Kumar Yadav.

It is to be seen how the party would handle this situation in Nellore and elsewhere in the state. There are at least 20 MLAs who are facing such dissent from their own party leaders across the state.

Anil Says He Would Quit Politics If Any Suspended MLA Wins

1

Less than a week after four MLAs were suspended from the party by the YSR Congress leadership, former minister and MLA P Anil Kumar said that he would quit active politics if any of the three suspended MLAs from Nellore district won the next election.

Speaking to media persons, Anil Kumar said that the MLAs have voted for the TDP and it is known to their conscience. He contested the statements of Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy that they did not vote against the party, the former minister said that they should ask their conscience and speak the truth.

The former minister said that the party leadership had a secret code to identify cross voting by the MLAs. The party leadership checks voting patterns by the party MLAs and it has been there for years in every MLC or Rajya Sabha elections, he asserted.

He further said that he would leave Nellore district even if one of the three suspended MLAs get elected to the Assembly in the 2024 general election. He dared the three MLAs to win the general election. He said that none of the three MLAs would get any party ticket too!

When asked about his future, Anil Kumar said that he would stay with Jagan Mohan Reddy for the rest of his political career. He said he would contest if the party gave him a ticket or would support whoever is given the ticket.

The former minister said that every MLA now had won the election with the photo of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Even in the next election too, the MLAs would win only if they have Jagan Mohan Reddy’s photo.

Jagan gives a dressing down to Anil, Kakani

1

Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had reportedly warned the two warring leaders from Nellore. He had summoned both Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy and former minister P Anil Kumar Yadav to the camp office at Tadepalli on Wednesday and warned them of severe action if they indulged in group politics.

The two leaders held counter meetings last Sunday creating a law and order problem in Nellore town. While Govardhan Reddy’s followers organised a reception rally and meeting to the minister on his first visit, Anil held a meeting of his supporters.

The two leaders have differences right from the beginning and never met despite being in the same party and elected from the same Nellore district. When Anil Kumar was in the cabinet, he could not visit Sarvepalli constituency in the district, which is represented by Govardhan Reddy. They hardly held meetings together in the last three years.

After Anil Kumar was dropped from the cabinet and Govardhan Reddy was given the ministerial berth, the differences further intensified. Anil Kumar refused to cooperate with the Minister in the district issues on the ground that Govardhan Reddy did not cooperate with him during his stint as minister.

If this was not enough, the supporters of both Anil Kumar and Govardhan Reddy have put up flexies all over the Nellore town in support of their leader. Anil Kumar had also met Govardhan Reddy’s another rival from Nellore district, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.

The chief minister had already appointed Anil Kumar Yadav as the party regional coordinator for YSR and Tirupati districts. Sources say that the chief minister had asked Anil Kumar to take care of the party activities in the two districts, without interfering with the Minister’s work.

It is to be seen if the two leaders bury the hatchet and work for the party as expected by Jaganmohan Reddy.

Minister, ex-minister ready for showdown in Nellore

1

Even as chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is gearing up for the next round of elections scheduled for 2024 and wants to retain the power in Andhra Pradesh, there is dissent brewing in the party with the leaders heading for showdown. The squabbles have come to the fore in Nellore district with minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy and former minister P Anil Kumar Yadav getting ready for showdown.

The squabbles between Govardhan Reddy and Anil Kumar Yadav are known to the people and the party leaders in Nellore district. The two leaders hardly saw eye to eye in the last three years when Anil Kumar was in the cabinet. Govardhan Reddy never met Anil Kumar to his constituency nor he joined the minister’s programmes.

Now, with Govardhan Reddy becoming a minister and Anil Kumar losing his berth, the squabbles continue in the district. Govardhan Reddy is coming to the Nellore district for the first time on April 17, after assuming charge as minister. His followers have planned a big reception for the minister and want it to be a big event.

On the same day, former minister Anil Kumar had planned a meeting with his party supporters in the town. He is holding a get-together with the rank and file of the party in the town with an agenda to support Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Though the events are held on the same day almost at the same time, the former minister said that his meeting was planned a week ago and was not planned to disturb the new minister’s reception. Even if Anil Kumar denies any differences with Minister Govardhan Reddy, his meeting with the party workers is all set to disturb the minister’s reception.

Why did Minister Anil Yadav banishe uncle Roop Kumar Yadav?

0

Minister for water resources in AP, Anil Kumar Yadav is now on a course correction mode. He has now realised that the man who he trusted most is actually damaging his image. Waking up before it is too late, he has shown the door to his paternal uncle Roop Kumar Yadav. He is now in a damage control mode and is trying to meet the aggrieved sections in his constituency to mend fences.

Anil Kumar Yadav’s uncle Roop Kumar Yadav is known as minister’s alter ego. He used Anil Kumar’s position and image for his own benefit. He was reportedly involved in land grab and extortion. He was sending recommendation letters in the name of the minister. All these things came to light when a family of four staged a dharna against the shady land deals of Roop Kumar. It has come to light to that Roop has reportedy collected Rs 5 crore in the name of Anil.

Realising that this would affect his image and would cost him his political career, Anil Kumar Yadav has acted swiftly. He has reportedly banished Roop Kumar from his house and has told him not to visit his camp office. He also told the officials and the general public not to do any recommendation that Roop Kumar Yadav sends.

Anil Yadav, who is already under fire, for being inaccessible to the voters, is now on a course correction mode.

Incharge minister Anil fuels group politics in Kurnool!

0

Andhra Pradesh irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav is also the incharge minister for Kurnool district. YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has appointed Anil as incharge minister for Kurnool to set right the things for party and government in the district.

Incidentally, Jagan replaced senior minister Botsa Satyanarayana who was incharge minister for Kurnool district with a junior minister Anil. Such was the confidence of Jagan on Anil.

But Anil’s entry into Kurnool district created more problems for YSRCP than doing good, feel district party leaders and cadres. This is because he is accused of encouraging group politics in Kurnool instead of strengthening the party and government.

Anil is totally neglecting development of Kurnool district. He hardly visits district to monitor development programmes. It was more than one year since Anil came to Kurnool.

He is not even attending DRC meetings to review development programmes in district. As this is not enough, he is damaging YSRCP politically in Kurnool by creating rift between rival groups in party.

Kurnool YSRCP leaders and cadres reportedly demanding Jagan to remove Anil from the district incharge minister post to save party in the district.

Fearing that Jagan may initiate action against him, Anil has decided to tour Kurnool district for two days soon.

Why did this Minister skip the programme in his own district?

1

The absence of irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav at the programme organised to lift the gates of Somasila reservoir has now become a hot topic in the political circles in general and in Nellore district in particular. Normally, the irrigation minister would be the chief guest when project gates are lifted. Moreover, Anil Kumar Yadav is from Nellore and Somasila reservoir is in the same district.

Interestingly, no one talked about why the irrigation minister was not present at the programme. Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy or other MLAs, who were present at the event, too were tight-lipped about the incident. As a result, the minister’s absence became a hot topic for discussion.

It later emerged that Anil Kumar Yadav was unwell and was hospitalised in Hyderabad. After getting discharged from the hospital, he is said to be recuperating in the hospital. But the biggest issue here is why there was no official information about the minister’s ill health. Also, why is this secrecy about a minister’s health condition? This secrecy has led to the rumour mills going into tizzy about Anil Kumar Yadav.

It is well-known in Nellore district that Anil Kumar Yadav has a running feud with the Anam family. Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has in fact threatened to undertake a padayatra in the Nellore urban constituency against Anil Kumar Yadav. The differences have further deepened after Anam Ramanarayana Reddy’s father Venkat Reddy’s statue was removed during the flyover construction in the city. Recently Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy had to hold a meeting in Nellore to iron out the differences among the party leaders. Sources say, several other MLAs too have ganged up against Anil Kumar Yadav. Sources say Anil Kumar Yadav may have decided against going to Nellore to prevent an uncomfortable situation. As of now, all the groups are staying tight-lipped on the issue.

Political “A…Aaa’ in Nellore causing trouble to YSRCP

0

Heard of the film “A…Aaa…” ? It’s a Trivikram potboiler that tells the story of love between a boy and girl. It was a hit movie with several punch dialogues and funny one-liners. In Nellore, another “A…Aaaa” is being enacted in Nellore’s YSRCP. The only difference is that instead of love, this drama is all about politics, one-upmanship and rivalry.

In the film, it’s about Aravinda and Ananda Vihari. In Nellore, it’s all about minister Anil Kumar Yadav and his one-time political guru and current arch-rival Aanam Ramanarayan Reddy. Though the YSRCP did a cleansweep in the district by winning all the ten assembly seats and three MP seats, the internecine squabble seems to be weakening the party. Despite the best efforts of the likes of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, the battle of one-upmanship between Anil and Anam is going on unabated.

In the 2019 elections, Anam was sent to Venkatagiri assembly constituency and Anil was asked to fight from Nellore urban. Later, Anil became a minister, while Anam, who was once the finance minister of undivided AP, remained a mere MLA. Anil was once a protégé of Anam and owed his political career to the Anam family. But today, the roles are reversed. In the recent flyover works, Anil got the statue of Anam Venkat Reddy, Ramanaraana’s dad, removed without even bothering to inform Anam. Since then, Anam is not invited Anil to any of the programme in Venkatagiri. Not just that. He is ensuring that Anam’s name does not figure in any of the inaugural plaque. Now, Anam is threatening to take out a house-to-house campaign in Nellore city against Anil.

Meanwhile, another senior politician and MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy was booked in a gravel mining case. It later came to light that Anil was behind these cases. Now both Anam and Magunta are trying to make a common cause against Anil Yadav. The political circles are now watching this political potboiler with a lot of interest. But, for the ruling YSRCP, this has turned out to be source of a never-ending headache.

Will Anil Kumar Yadav be dropped from Jagan’s cabinet?

1

Is Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy dropping hints about who would be dropped from the cabinet in the latest reshuffle? On Tuesday, Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav kept a distance from YS Jagan throughout the latter’s tour of Polavaram project area. Though Anil Kumar Yadav was very much present on the occasion, his was very low key. He was silent all through the review meeting held after the visit to Polavaram.

Normally, the Irrigation Minister stays next to the CM during such meetings. But, Anil Kumar Yadav was several paces behind the CM. The other ministers were close to the CM. Anil was way too behind. Also, when the CM undertook the aerial survey of the project area, only officials boarded the chopper along with the CM. Anil Kumar did not board the chopper. The same scene was repeated even during the review meeting with the irrigation officials.

Normally, minister Anil Yadav is considered an ultra defender of YS Jagan. He springs to Jagan’s defence on any subject or issue. He calls himself the Bhakt of YS Jagan. But, it seems Jagan is not happy with the way the irrigation department was functioning. He is said to be unhappy with the way the progress of Polavaram project was slow-paced. He is said to be unhappy over AP irrigation department, which has failed to defend the AP’s interests on the Krishna water issue.

However, Anil Yadav’s close camp followers refute these. They say that his ministry would be safe and he has worked very hard in his department and has defended YS Jagan to hilt on any issue. But, analysts say that even Anil’s body language during the Polavaram visit showed that all was not well. Let’s wait and see how things unfold in the days to come.

Naidu-Ramoji have no social responsibility: Anil

4

Whenever in a political crisis, CM Jaganmohan Reddy and his Ministers use the caste card against Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP. Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar has now made a joint attack on Chandrababu and Eenadu Chairman Ramoji Rao. He says that both of them have no social responsibility.

Anil Kumar says that Ramoji Rao is only bothered about his companies. Whereas, Naidu indulges in cheap political tricks without any social awareness or responsibility. It was the TDP chief who pioneered the privatization in the country. He sold over 50 Government entities during his regime. Now, he is doing cheap politics.

The Minister has said that Naidu and Ramoji Rao are only caring for their own caste. The yellow media is spreading falsehoods and untruths about the Government. Chandrababu’s only goal is to create unrest and chaos in Visakhapatnam.

Anil Kumar also made a surprise attack, saying that Chandrababu did not follow a plan in the Polavaram project which eventually caused damage to the diaphragm wall.

Naidu director, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar actor: Anil Kumar

2

The YSRCP government has once again cast aspersions on a constitutional functionary.

After Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, Water Resources Minister Anil Kumar Yadav cast aspersions on the neutrality of State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar stating that he was implementing the agenda of former Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

“Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is acting as per the directions of Chandrababu Naidu. Should the government be scared of director Chandrababu Naidu and his actor Ramesh Kumar,” he asked. His comments come in the wake of Ramesh Kumar holding an all-party meeting on local body elections. YSRCP abstained from attending the meeting.

This is not the first time that Nimmmagadda Ramesh Kumar faced such unsavory remarks from the ruling party. Ever since Ramesh Kumar had put off elections, he came under sharp attack from the YSRCP ministers, MLAs and MPs.

Jagan himself attributed bias to Ramesh Kumar. He has remarked that Ramesh Kumar was biased towards the TDP owing to caste considerations. “Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar belongs to the same caste as Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Ramesh was appointed by Naidu and now he was showing his caste loyalty,” Jagan had accused after Ramesh Kumar put off local body elections in March.

Sattenpalli YSRCP Ambati Rambabu went a step ahead asking the government to arrest Ramesh Kumar for meeting BJP RS MP Sujana Chowdary and BJP leader Kamineni Srinivas. He had called Ramesh Kumar as Naidu’s plant to manipulate the system. Assembly Speaker Tamineni Sitaram had called Ramesh Kumar a donkey (gadida), while YSRCP RS MP Vijay Sai Reddy likened him to a dog on a golden throne.

The comments amount to defamation, but the YSRCP leaders have adopted a couldn’t care-less attitude attacking constitutional functionaries, judges, and the judiciary itself.

Minister Anil apologises to barbers: anti-Devineni comments

Irrigation Minister P Anil Kumar Yadav is known for his aggressive comments against the TDP especially former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao. This time, the Minister raised his dosage and used all possible foul words a politician would use to attack the former minister. Such was the seriousness of the issue. For the last few days, Minister Anil was arguing that the previous regime has not completed majority works on Polavaram project. He threw challenges to the TDP whether it could prove. He challenged Devineni to cut his moustache if he fails to prove his point on project completion works. At one time, the Minister slipped his tongue and said that he would send a barber to cut the TDP leader’s hair since he failed to prove his allegations.

These days, politically loaded comments involving any community are giving trouble to the leaders. Votebank considerations along community lines are one reason for this. Also, rivals are using such comments to provoke those communities. Now, Minister Anil has eventually no choice but to withdraw his remarks and then apologise to the Nayi Brahmin community as a whole.

Moreover, this community falls under BCs. Since coming to power, the BC votebanks have been the immediate target for CM Jagan Reddy in his plans for his future unquestionable electoral victories. Obviously, YSRCP Ministers and MLAs may cross any limits but not in harming their potential votebanks.

I am a devotee of CM Jagan: AP Minister

0

It is well known that all the YCP MLAs and Ministers are blind followers and diehard loyalists of AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. These days, their loyalty is creating new records in the political scene. Now, Minister Poluboyina Anil Kumar Yadav went a step ahead and proclaimed himself to be a great devotee of Jagan first and minister only later.

Anil Kumar said this at a public meeting in the presence of MLAs, officials and party leaders. The provocation for his comment is obviously the ongoing opposition attack on Jagan Reddy’s CBI cases and his reverse rule against Amaravati Capital and Kia Motors.

Interestingly, Anil gave serious warnings to former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The Minister told Naidu that if Jagan opens his Third Eye, then everything will be burnt to ashes. He further warned that he doesn’t care about the minister post but only follows Jagan orders. Anil said that if Jagan takes a decision, Chandrababu wouldn’t be able to freely move anywhere in the state.

TDP corruption in Polavaram exposed: YCP Minister

0

Irrigation Minister P Anil Kumar Yadav strongly defended the ongoing ‘reverse tendering’ taken up on Polavaram project works. He said that the latest bid on a Rs 300 Cr work revealed that Rs. 50 Cr is saved for the state government. The Minister said that it’s now clear how the TDP indulged in massive corruption in its regime. One company made the bid for a work at 15.6 per cent less now. The same company bid for similar work at 4.7 per cent excess during the TDP Rule.

The Minister accused Ex CM Chandrababu Naidu of making baseless allegations over ‘reserve tendering’ to favour a particular company. Even the old Navayuga company can also take part in the tenders. In a small work, the YCP Regime could save Rs 50 Cr and much more public money would be saved in the coming days. He said that over Rs 50,000 Cr worth works are yet to be taken up in the project. The TDP is spreading misinformation that 71 per cent works were already completed. Anil Kumar said that Naidu was apparently suffering from jealousy over positive image for Jagan Circar in project savings, job creation and welfare programmes.

Cases booked: Social media videos against Minister

1

The Krishna floods controversy had taken a new twist. The police have booked cases against some persons on charges of posting indecent and defamatory videos on social media against Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav. The cases are booked at the Tiruvuru, Satyanarayanapuram and other police stations.

The YCP leaders complained that the Opposition TDP is engaging some paid artists to post these videos. Their allegation is that the videos contain objectionable statements insulting and attacking even the community background of the Minister. Some backward classes leaders have made police complaints in this regard.

There has been a virtual war going on between the YCP and TDP ever since the floods occurred in the Krishna. TDP leaders accused Jagan Regime of deliberately mismanaging the floods which caused misery to the poor people and farmers in Guntur and Krishna districts. Minister Anil became a victim of personal attack because of his criticism of Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh.

Minister Anil sensational comments on Naidu

0

The YCP Ministers have not changed the rough tone they used at the time of the election campaign. Water Resources Minister Anil Kumar Yadav made unpalatable and unparliamentary comments on Ex CM Chandrababu Naidu at an official media conference at the Secretariat. He went to the extent of calling Naidu a ‘Ghazni’ whose mind is blocked.

Anil said that Naidu’s brain has gone mad as he is not able to the great appreciation that CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s rule is getting from within the state and from all over the country. The Minister was angry at Naidu’s comments that the YCP government is not showing interest in completing the irrigation projects that were begun during YSR regime and continued in TDP rule.

Anil has also asserted that Naidu is needlessly talking about baseless rumours. The government will appoint an experts committee to bring out irregularities during TDP regime.
