Inefficiency, improper planning costing Polavaram dearly, says Uma

0

Former minister and TDP senior leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said here on Monday that funds shortage, no proper planning and diverting the works to a different agency despite the strong warning from the Polavaram Project Authority are the blunders committed by the State Government which cost the project dearly.

Umamaheswar Rao told media persons at the party office here that the Polavaram Project Authority and the NITI Ayog gathered information from different wings and submitted a report to the department of Central Water Resources. Under the directions from the NITI Ayog, the report was submitted to the Polavaram Project Authority on the irrigation project works.

Under the guidance of the senior engineer, Prof KBVN Phanindra of the Hyderabad IIT, a five-member committee of experts from various wings prepared the 124-page report after personally visiting the project site for 10 times in August and September in 2020 and 2021. These experts stayed at the Polavaram project area for 53 days and made the ground visits to have the first hand information and also interacted with the project-displaced after which they prepared the report and submitted it to the Water Resources Department, Umamaheswara Rao said.

These experts clearly mentioned in their report that the Polavaram projects were completed at a fast pace from 2015 to 2019 without any fund crunch. They clearly pointed out in the report that water was supplied through the spillway in 2014, the TDP leader stated.

However, with the blunders committed by the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government and due to the inefficiency of the Chief Minister there is, in fact, a total destruction in Polavaram, he alleged and said that the change of the contractor has become a bane to Polavaram. This is clearly mentioned in the report, he added.

During the TDP regime, the 15 lakh cusecs of flood water was pumped through the spillway to Dhawaleswaram barrage and from there flown into the sea without causing any damage to the area nor to the project. When the experts committee has made it quite clear in its report that proper measures have to be taken to ensure that no damage is caused in the area with the advent of the monsoon and the construction of houses to the displaced be speeded-up, the State Government has not taken any such measures, he said.

Though the State Government has claimed that Rs 11,460 cr budgetary allocation has been made for the project, only Rs 2,742 cr, which is not even 25 per cent, is spent. Land acquisition and Relief and Rehabilitation were completely neglected, he said and added that the inefficient Chief Minister is behaving most irresponsibly.

Lokesh is Jagans’s next target, will be jailed soon: Devineni Uma

0

TDP senior leader and former minister Deveneni Umamaheshwar Rao today (Thursday) made sensational allegations against YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh.

He said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is on a mission to send all top TDP leaders to jail and Jagan’s next target is Nara Lokesh, the only son of TDP chief and former AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu.

Devineni Uma was jailed last week after AP government booked several police cases against him including SC/ ST Atrocities case.

Devineni was lodge in Rajahmundry Central Jail since Wednesday last.

He came out of jail on Thursday after AP High Court granted him bail on Wednesday.

Addressing media persons after he returned from jail, Deveneni said Jagan had sent TDP senior leaders Atchennaidu, JC Prabhakar Reddy, Dhulipalla Narendra etc to jail and his next target is Lokesh.

He said he had reliable information that Jagan is planning to send Lokesh to jail in September by filing various cases against him. He said Jagan is planning to fabricate cases against Lokesh that he had resorted to corruption when he was a minister in TDP government between 2014 and 2019.

AP High Court grants bail to Devineni Uma

0

The Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday (today) granted bail to TDP senior leader and former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao.

Devineni is currently lodged in Rajahmundry Central Jail.

The AP High Court on July 29 admitted a petition filed by Devineni seeking bail.

Devineni Uma and 17 of his followers were booked on July 28 under Section 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), relavant sections of the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and other charges including rioting, criminal conspiracy and disrupting public servants from discharging their duties.

Uma and his followers were arrested on July 29 and sent to 14-day judicial custody by a court in Mylavaram.

It may be recalled that violence broke out between YSRCP and TDP activists at Gaddamanugu village on July 27 when Uma made a surprise visit to Kondapalli forest reserve area alleging that YSRCP leaders backed by Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad were indulging in illegal gravel mining. While he was returning from Gaddamanugu village, YSRCP supporters allegedly pelted stones on his car and claimed that the TDP leader was making false allegations. The confrontation led to violence as around 1000 people from both sides gathered at the village and started attacking each other with sickles and stones.

In the violence, TDP supporters allegedly attacked a Dalit leader and damaged his house, too.

Alleging that the YSRCP activists attacked him and damaged his vehicle, Uma staged a protest at G Kondur police station by sitting in his car. The protest continued till Tuesday midnight. However, police arrested him forcibly by breaking open his car window. Some policemen were also injured. Police said that the unrest was created in a “planned manner.”

Did YSRCP err in arresting Devineni Uma?

1

Did the YSRCP and the YS Jagan Government err in arresting Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao? Did they inadvertently help boosting his sagging political career? Have they by arresting him, given a booster dose to his politics? This is now being hotly debated in the ruling YSRCP.

Devineni Uma was almost isolated in the TDP after his defeat in the 2019 elections. While he was in power, he ran the TDP affairs with an iron hand in Krishna urban district. He has thus isolated several leaders and made many enemies within the party. Soon after his defeat in the elections, several party leaders began ignoring him. His stock began falling and he felt quite isolated within the party. Even when he issued press notes, the other party leaders did not respond or support his call. They royally sidelined him. Leaders like Kesineni Nani, Bonda Uma and others stopped consulting Uma on party affairs.

But all that changed with his arrest. Uma has been daring the YSRCP to arrest him for the past two years. However, the YSRCP did not arrest him. But when it finally arrested him, it was a petty case. It was clear as crystal that this smacked of vendetta. This has raised sympathy for Devineni Uma. There was a groundswell of support for him in Mylavaram assembly constituency and the manner of arrest forced the other TDP leaders too to oppose this. Despite their antipathy to Devineni Uma, these leaders began speaking in his support. Today, Devineni Uma has acquired a hero’s status in Krishna politics.

Even Vasantha Krishna Prasad, who defeated Devineni Uma in 2019 elections in Mylavaram, is reportedly not happy with the kind of attention, focus and publicity that Uma is getting post his arrest. The YSRCP did not expect this kind of response. Now there is a debate as to whether the YSRCP has actually helped Devineni Uma by making a hero out of him.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu meets family members of Devineni Uma

0

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday met the family members of Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao to extend solidarity and console them.

Rao is currently under arrest for allegedly perpetrating an attack on YSRCP leaders in Krishna district.

Naidu said Rao has been targeted because he exposed the alleged illegal mining by the ruling party leaders at Gaddamanugu in Krishna district.

He said the ruling party leaders are not confident of coming back to power in 2024, which is prompting them to loot as much as possible.

The former CM warned of retaliation to the YSRCP leaders in the future.

Meanwhile, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh said that the alleged illegal mining activities of YSRCP leaders are getting unravelled one by one.

He alleged that under the mask of mining laterite, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s relatives are mining bauxite.

Lokesh said he will not rest until he exposes the alleged YSRCP mining mafia and ensure that the culprits go behind bars.

AP High Court admits Devineni Uma’s bail petition!

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday (today) admitted a petition filed by the arrested TDP senior leader and former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao seeking bail.

The High Court is expected to hear the case in a day or two.

Devineni Uma and 17 of his followers were booked on Wednesday under Section 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), relavant sections of the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and other charges including rioting, criminal conspiracy and disrupting public servants from discharging their duties.

Uma and his followers were arrested on Wednesday and sent to 14-day judicial custody by a court in Mylavaram.

Devineni Uma trying to create unrest in Mylavaram: YSRCP MLA

0

YSRCP MLA from Mylavaram, Vasantha Krishna Mohan, on Wednesday slammed former minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao for allegedly trying to create unrest in the constituency.

“Idle Rao is indulging in false propaganda to perpetrate riots and unrest in the peaceful Mylavaram constituency,” alleged Mohan.

He also said that the TDP leader is intentionally hatching plots and linking him to unrelated issues.

Reacting to Rao’s allegations of illegal mining, he said the TDP leader has already visited the protected Kondapalli hills forest area 15 times to turn a falsehood into truth.

Mohan also said that Rao is trying to bring disrepute to the state government, but failing to get desired results.

“As he could not achieve what he wished for, he (Rao) is perpetrating the people to spark unrest in the constituency,” he alleged.

According to the MLA, it was Rao who had procured permission during the TDP regime for mining at Kondapalli, including inaugurating works by claiming that those were revenue department lands.

“Now he is claiming them to be forest lands. It is Uma who said one thing when in power, and another after losing power,” he noted.

He also said that YSRCP activists and people of the region are irritated, as Rao is resorting to linking Mohan to unrelated scams, and amplifying those through favourable media houses and by making provocative statements.

“Today also he went to the protected forest area and tried to indulge in evil politics, leading to local YSRCP activists turning up to question him. After I came to know of the matter, I turned them back,” said Mohan.

“Nobody will sit quietly if you (Rao) talk as you like and try to provoke people,” Mohan said.

Meanwhile, TDP national General Secretary Nara Lokesh accused the state government led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of targeting and harassing the former minister (Rao).

Lokesh alleged that the police are unable to differentiate between ‘YCP sections and IPC sections’ and claimed that the police top brass is acting like YSRCP activists.

AP govt acting vengefully against Devineni Uma: TDP

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government is allegedly acting in a vengeful way against former minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao because he is exposing corruption.

“Just because Uma is exposing corruption, the ruling party is vengeful against him. What happened to the police when some rowdies attacked the former minister?” alleged Lokesh.

He questioned whom the law is favouring and demanded to know if people will be killed if they question?

“Is this democracy?…The DGP has to answer,” he said.

According to the TDP’s second in command, Rao was targeted because he questioned the alleged illegal mining in Kondapalli forest worth thousands of crores of rupees by YSRCP leader Vasanta Krishna Mohan.

Lokesh alleged that Rao is being targeted at the behest of government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

The TDP general secretary claimed that police did not arrest the people who allegedly attacked Rao under IPC sections.

If this was the case with a former minister, he wondered what would happen to common people and warned the police that they meet the fate of their boss living in Tadepalli.

Lokesh said it will take only a little time but the culprits will stand before the law soon.

Police arrested Rao and shifted him to Nandiwada for allegedly perpetrating an attack on ruling party leaders.

CID notice to Devineni in Jagan morphing case

1

The CID officers have given fresh notices to former Minister and senior TDP leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao in connection with his comments on CM Jaganmohan Reddy. The CID has given these notices based on a complaint filed by a lawyer who made morphing allegations against Devineni. The officers pasted a copy of the notice at Devineni’s Gollapudi house today, asking the TDP leader to appear before the Kurnool CID police at 10.30 a.m. today itself.

The complainant levelled charges of deliberate attempts on the part of Devineni to tarnish the image of CM Jagan. He said that Devineni showed morphed videos of Jagan Reddy and spread misinformation that the CM has spoiled the divinity and sacredness of the Seven Hills Tirumala Temple.

Moreover, Devineni made unwarranted comments like the one that Jagan has criminalised and reduced AP into Bihar. This was why the people were afraid to come to AP. Devineni was alleged to have made these comments at his press conference held in Tirupati on April 7.
Based on the lawyer’s complaint, the CID booked a case against Devineni under multiple sections 464, 465, 468, 469, 470, 471, 505 and 120 (b).

Minister Kodali threatens to run lorries over Devineni

10

The ruling YSRCP seems greatly embarrassed at the latest comments of former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao. Uma has said that the Government has not deposited any funds towards zero interest loans for farmers till now. So, the farmers cannot trust the ruling party when it says current bills amounts would be deposited in their accounts. Now, one Minister and two MLAs belonging to Uma caste came before the media and unleashed their venomous attack.

Minister Kodali Nani went a step ahead and threatened to run lorries over Devineni if he went on making meaningless allegations against the Jagan Reddy regime. It is true that since coming to power, the YSRCP has made many efforts to find loopholes in order to file cases against Devineni Uma who served as Irrigation Minister during the TDP regime. But, as yet, it could not get hold of any worthwhile documents to proceed with their plans.

The latest controversy on the free power scheme has triggered heated debates. Uma’s latest comments as well as his past record have undoubtedly angered the YSRCP so much so the Minister himself issued direct threats.

Incidentally, YCP MLA Vasanta Krishna Prasad was also present along with Kodali Nani. Devineni Uma has recently made comments against illegal mining by Krishna Prasad’s followers in Kondapalli reserve forests. Instead of protecting the forests, the officials are colluding with the ruling party. All these controversies culminated in the Minister giving a direct threat. Many more political twists are expected in the coming months.

CM Jagan should issue a statement on Amaravati: Devineni

1

Criticising the YCP Government’s policies, TDP former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has demanded Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to make a clear statement to the people that Andhra Pradesh Capital City would be continued in Amaravati as before. The former Minister described Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana’s latest visit to the uncompleted multi-storeyed buildings in Amaravati as another high drama started by the ruling party in the wake of reverses in the courts. The people as well as local farmers would not trust these fake demonstrations of the Government in the form of visits by Ministers and Officials.

The TDP leader asked whether Botcha Satyanarayana was visiting now to mislead the local people into believing that the Government has softened its plans for the Capital city. In that case, there was no need for the YCP to bring up the controversial CRDA Repeal and 3 Capitals Bills in the just-concluded budget session. The Chief Minister should explain why his party Ministers and members behaved indecently and created ruckus in the Council for the passage of these Bills.

Mr. Devineni Uma asserted that for the last 188 days, the Capital city farmers were agitating in the 29 villages even as 66 farmers died in the process with broken hearts. The Chief Minister should come out and answer to these farmers why they were being subjected to this agony and harassment. Even the lease amounts were not being given to the farmers unless they approached the court. It is high time Jagan Reddy makes a public statement in favour of continuing Amaravati as the Capital City.

Referring to alleged Rs 307 cr scam in 108 ambulances, Mr. Devineni Uma said the Government has arbitrarily given the maintenance contract for 1,060 ambulances without inviting tenders. CM Jagan brought in a new corruption culture by issuing the GO 111 which ordered for ‘identifying and engaging’ a company to maintain the ambulances. The monthly expenditure per ambulance was arbitrarily increased from Rs. 1.31 lakh to Rs. 1.78 lakh for new ambulances and from Rs. 1.31 lakh to Rs. 2.21 lakh for old ambulances.

The TDP leader strongly objected to the police arriving to keep a watch at their party Official Spokesperson K. Pattabhiram’s residence just because he exposed the multi-crore 108 scam. It was highly objectionable that the senior police officers were defending this action saying that their force went there as part of law and order maintenance. Police watch was also being kept at former MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao’s residence. Top TDP leaders were being targetted. Jagan Reddy is running this Government like a Police Rajyam or Jungle Raj.

Atchannaidu may need another surgery: TDP

0

TDP former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has said Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy would have to take all the responsibility for the health risks being posed to TDP former Minister and TDLP Deputy Leader K. Atchannaidu. He blamed the ACB officials for ‘making’ Atchannaidu to travel 500 kms for 20 hours non-stop despite knowing the fact that he underwent surgery for fissures very recently. Now, the doctors are saying because of the strain of travel and stress, Atchannaidu may need another surgery.

The TDP leader accused CM Jagan Reddy of perpetrating the factionist, anarchic Raja Reddy Constitution ever since he came to power making countless false promises to the voters. He said over 50 policemen surrounded and blocked his office in order to stop him from calling on the TDLP Deputy Leader when he was in hospital. This was nothing but denial of the right to the freedom of expression and total suppression of the voice of Opposition.

Mr. Devineni Uma deplored that the entire police machinery became helpless in the State as the Sakshi media staff have occupied every single floor in the DGP building and were literally passing orders to harass the Opposition in a systematic way. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who has become YCP Number 2 leader recently, was running the Home Ministry and the State Police but not Mekathoti Sucharita. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy was running Finance and Irrigation Ministries as well, which indicated the level of vice-like grip CM Jagan Reddy has on the party and the government. All the Ministers and MLAs are reduced to being dummies and pushovers.

The TDP leader demanded Jagan Reddy to explain why his Government could not provide water supply in the Krishna delta despite there were five to six floods in the river last one year. Negligence and ignorance of YCP caused 800 TMC water flow wastefully. Moreover, YCP MLAs and leaders were making lots of easy money by laying roads in the river bed between Nandigama and Pedakurapadu to plunder lots of sand illegally. Over 70 lakh tonnes of sand was involved in the mafia while 13 lakh tonnes were already taken away by YCP leaders.

YCP commissions hampering project works: TDP

0

Former Minister and TDP leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has said the YCP government has given Velogonda irrigation project works to a company which has no prior experience working with machines but can do only borewells. He demanded Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy to explain whether his government was interested in bringing an integrated irrigation policy in order to successfully complete the irrigation projects.

The TDP leader said if the ruling party was greedy after the commissions even in major projects, these works cannot be completed and there would be no clarity. Veligonda was aimed at giving drinking water to 15 lakh people and also provide irrigation to 3.36 lakh acres in Prakasam district, 27,200 acres in Kadapa and 84,000 in Nellore.

Mr Devineni Uma said that advanced machinery and latest technology was used during the TDP rule but now substandard works were going on. Out of political considerations, the greedy YCP leadership has stopped many projects that were started in previous regime. The re-tendering misrule has led to the stoppage of even the Polavaram project.

The TDP leader strongly objected to the Government giving Veligonda tunnel works to Kadapa native Lanka Reddy just because he belonged to the CM home district. These works were given to him on nomination basis in the name of re-tendering. These reverse policies and irrational activities have created mistrust among the outsiders and genuine companies about the state.

Financial misappropriation rampant under YSRCP, says Devineni

0

Former Minister and TDP senior leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of committing gross irregularities in payment of bills and funds expenditure while totally neglecting deepening problems of farmers, poor people, workers and different sections of Andhra Pradesh. While TDP implemented Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS) for transparency in payment of Government bills, the YSRCP has discontinued this system only to continue its gross financial mismanagement secretly.

The TDP leader demanded that the Government immediately revive CFMS and place the facts before the public on how it had spent nearly Rs. 70,000 Cr loans it had brought in the past 11 months. The Finance Minister was not able to give details for expenditure of Rs. 1.7 lakh Cr. When asked, the Minister was evading a direct reply, saying such questions on AP financial issues should be posed to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG). The AP treasury had Rs. 13,000 Cr right now besides another Rs. 20,000 Cr transferred by the Centre during the Coronavirus lockdown period, but no adequate steps were being taken to provide relief to farmers and workers. Top officials were not knowing what was happening to the State finances. Only one Satyaranarayana in the finance department was just releasing bills at the commands of a handful of Ministers.

The former water resources minister alleged that 20 lorry loads of unknown material were shifted from Amaravati and unloaded in the premises of a college belonging to an former minister’s son-in-law in Visakhapatnam. This was in accordance with the auspicious time fixed by one port city Swamiji for shifting Capital in the last week of May or first week of June. Simultaneously, prime Government lands in Visakhapatnam ocean front hills were being grabbed through benamis in the name of Build AP.

1,100 acres land grab conspiracy behind Govt notices to Vizag villages

0

TDP former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has accused the ruling YSR Congress Party leadership of getting involved in a bigger conspiracy to grab 1,100 acres lands starting from Simhachalam hills and extending to several nearby villages in Visakhapatnam port city.

He asked the Government to explain why it had given notices to the residents of villages in the vicinity of LG Polymers to vacate their houses instead of providing a much-needed relief and rehabilitation to them in this time of gas tragedy.

Umamaheswara Rao said that doubts were arising as there were no reports on whether logbook and CCTV footage was available on the gas tragedy in the factory. Moreover, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy who has been acting as overall incharge of North Coastal Andhra was not visiting Visakhapatnam ever since the mishap. The MP should clarify whether he had collected any amount from the company for his Pragathi Bharati Trust.

The TDP leader also accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of giving permission to LG Polymers on a war-footing and in violation of national lockdown only for the sake of augmenting plastic bottles supply for sale of liquor in the state. Incidentally, the LG Polymers was supposed to supply raw material to polymers companies like Nandini, SPY and Bharati. Out of vested interests alone, the AP Government has committed criminal violations leading to the disaster which claimed 12 human lives besides injuring hundreds of others.

YSRCP vengeful against TV 5 Murthy: ex Minister

2

It is well known how Jagan Government suspends and targets whoever revolts against lack of proper protection kits and preventive measures. Now, the Government is targetting journalists as well. Amidst this, former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of atrociously targeting and punishing doctors, Government employees and journalists for exposing the ruling party’s negligence in containment of Coronavirus epidemic in Andhra Pradesh.

Recalling instances of suspensions of employees for questioning on preventive measures, he condemned the YSRCP Government’s latest vicious efforts to arrest TV 5 journalist Murthy in a latest vindictive action. Tthe senior journalist was being targetted just for exposing the Government’s indifferent attitude and cover-up activities with regard to COVID spendings. The virus situation turned from bad to worse in the state, as Kurnool became the worst hit reporting another 43 infected cases today. The Government should tell public number of persons isolated at quarantine centres and the facilities being provided to them.

The former Minister demanded that the CM explain to public why Dr Sudhakar was suspended just because he asked for protective kits for the safety of frontline health workers. Nagari municipal commissioner was suspended along similar grounds. A lady doctor in Ongole was threatened for her statements on lack of protection kits.

Mr. Uma said that the Government was not in a position to tell how much it had spent on procurement of personal protection equipment (PPEs) and whether all doctors and nurses were given medical grade masks. Very unfortunately, the YSRCP leaders were not doing anything to rescue farmers of agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture and sericulture. Farmers were committing suicides over loss of total crops because of Coronavirus impact but the CM was not taking any action.

YSRCP not preventing community transmission effectively?

1

The TDP has stepped up its attack on the YSRCP after PM Modi announced lockdown-2 in the country. TDP former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao expressed concern over the gaping loopholes in the coordination between the YSRCP government at the state level and the officials and ruling party leaders in the district and mandal levels to effectively fight against Coronavirus epidemic.

Mr. Uma accused the government of not taking effective steps to prevent the deadly community transmission which is threatening to cause a disaster in the state.

Mr. Uma said that the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and senior officials are bent upon suppressing all details relating to virus spread which is leading to chaos and confusion all over. A Nellore doctor died of infection in Chennai and was cremated there itself with his family members also hospitalised following infection in Nellore town itself. For this, the YSRCP government should be held responsible for neglecting the disease from the beginning.

Mr. Uma asked why the officials are not disclosing details of reports of over 300 persons whose samples were taken four to five days ago. He demanded that the Union Health Ministry, Home Ministry, Disaster Management department and WHO regional director in Delhi should intervene and instruct the AP officials to take stern measures to prevent community transmission.

TDP tells IAS officers to remember Srilakshmi case

0

Top officials of Andhra Pradesh are clearly an endangered species now. Life is turning even more tough for those who value professional excellence and personal image. Adding to their fears, Jagan Regime is not giving further postings if it’s unhappy with them. Consequently, IAS and IPS officers are under heavy pressure not to ask questions but blindly listen to the political bosses and sign on dotted line as per their wishes. The problem is that the same officials will be made accountable for irregularities and scams in future. This is the reason why senior IAS officer Srilakshmi and others had to go to jail after YSR Regime.

Opposition TDP is referring to this and warning top officials to be cautious before bowing to pressure in Jagan Rule. Former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao tells officials to remember the Srilakshmi case and then take a decision on signing as per YCP wishes. Many officials are turning against Jagan advisors and then getting punishment transfers. Surendra Babu is very popular among RTC staff but he was disrespectfully transferred as he didn’t agree to advisors’ proposals. He is not being given further posting. There are many officials who are similarly facing problems.

Jagan insulted Polavaram engineers and workers: Devineni

Jagan-owned Sakshi media put up stories mocking at the Guinness World Record feat of concrete pouring at the Polavaram project. Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao took strong objection to this. He said by ridiculing the Guinness record, Jaganmohan Reddy had insulted thousands of engineers, experts and workers who sweated it out to achieve this engineering feat.

Devineni wondered how Jagan could make fun of such great work that would bring name and fame to Andhra Pradesh state in the entire country. In just 24 hours of this feat without stop, nearly 32,315.5 cubic meters concrete was poured which broke all previous records in this realm. These Polavaram works of enormous proportions were being continued despite the prevailing financial problems being caused by the Centre to the AP state.

Devineni accused Jagan of never stopping to daydream about becoming the chief minister and never hesitating to malign the image of CM Chandrababu Naidu. The Minister asserted that regardless of opposition criticism, the lifeline project of Polavaram would be completed and this would be offered as CM Naidu’s gift to the farmers of the state. He said AP would not depend on the Central funds in this regard.

Why are YCP and Jana Sena not criticising Modi? asks Minister Uma

0

TDP leaders use every opportunity to blame YCP and Jana Sena for having an alleged secret deal with BJP. AP Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao strongly criticised YCP and other opposition parties for wrongfully blaming CM Chandrababu Naidu over TDP tie-up with Congress. The Minister asserted that Naidu was making his best efforts to protect self-respect of Telugu people at the national at a time when PM Modi is trying to hurt Telugu pride.

Devineni wondered as to how opposition leaders could attack Naidu instead of speaking favourably for the cause of ensuring a better deal to AP. Everybody knows the BJP government at Centre is giving a raw deal to AP by not releasing funds and yet YCP and Jana Sena leaders are targetting TDP.

The Minister challenged Jaganmohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan to criticise Modi which would not be possible as there is a secret deal between them all.
