The film was launched in a grand manner this morning and the pictures of Prabhas with Imanvi made the headlines in no time. Tentatively titled Fauji, the film is said to be a periodic drama set in the 1940s. The theme of the film as per the makers is “Not every historical event resonates with our emotions and thoughts, but this story is written by a warrior to bring justice to people of his Mother Land. This Historical fiction/ Alternate History set in the 1940’s is the tale of a warrior who rose from the shadows, emerging from a society that believed war was the only answer to the buried injustices and forgotten truths that history kept hidden from the world”. Mythri Movie Makers in association with T Series are the producers of this pan-Indian project.

Prabhas and Hanu Film Launched

Pan-Indian star Prabhas has been in talks with top production house Mythri Movie Makers for a film. He has taken a big advance from the production house years ago and the project finally materialized. Hanu Raghavapudi is on board to direct this periodic action drama that also has a love story. The film got launched in a grand manner today in Hyderabad and the regular shoot of the film will start on August 24th in Hyderabad. The female lead is expected to be announced today and Iman Esmail is rumored to play the heroine. Fauji is the title locked for the film and it is set during the pre-independence era.

Prabhas plays a soldier and he works in the British Army. The film is planned on a record budget and it is expected to hit the screens before the end of next year. Vishal Chandrasekhar is scoring the music and background score for Fauji. Prabhas is currently shooting for Maruthi’s Raja Saab and the film will release in summer 2025.

Sita Ramam Is A Larger Than Life Story

Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam had impressed one and all with its unique backdrop of love and war. The Period film set in 1964 had impressed with the teaser and three songs that are out today. Hanu Raghavapudi, the film’s director spoke to the media ahead of its release.

“I have a habit of going to Koti and buying old books. I found a letter in a book that was bought. It was an unopened letter. There is no big matter after it was opened. It was a letter written by a mother to her son. At least he didn’t open it. I found this very interesting. What would the journey have been like if there was something very important in it and not opened? Sita Ramam is complete fiction,” the director said about how Sita Ramam happened.

He also said Sita Ramam is a larger than life story. “The movie will have two time periods. One story is set in 1964. The screenplay will move back and forth between the then and now. The hero plays a solider in Kashmir and is an orphan. One letter changes all his life,” the director added.

He also explained the caption – Yuddhamtho Raasina Prema Katha. “This is not a physical war. It is about a war that happens within everyone. Sita Ramam is all about the inner struggle and war of the protagonist,” the director explains.

Hanu says all the characters in the film are very vital and will change the course of the story. “Rashmika plays a vital character. Be it Rashmika, Sumanth, Bhumika, or Priyadarshi – every character is important,” he says.

Nani is without a doubt the most successful and consistent hero of this generation. His consistency at box office can be largely attributed to his script selection and his trait of believing in the script rather than running after successful directors and big production houses.

However, buoyed by the success of their first collaboration “Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gatha”, Nani committed to work with director Hanu Raghavapudi for another film, which is expected to go on floors in the beginning of 2018. The ‘word’ given by the actor has now placed him in huge confusion.

During the promotional interviews of ‘Ninnu Kori’, an excited Nani revealed that he would play an Army man in Hanu’s film and that he was quite kicked about the project. But, all this happened before the release of Hanu’s latest film, ‘LIE’.

Now, after witnessing the debacle of ‘LIE’, any hero will think twice to work with Hanu. Will Nani stick to his word and give a lifeline to the director or ask Hanu to do another film in the meanwhile and come back to him after scoring a hit, so that he can evade the risk factor?

If Nani chooses the second option, can Hanu find another hero and producer who can dare to invest their time and money in his immediate next film? We need to wait for some more time to get answers to all these questions. Irrespective of Nani’s decision, Hanu will have to work hard to bounce back after ‘LIE’.
