Popular Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu on Friday pledged his organs at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospitals Ato mark his 60th birthday.

The actor signed on the pledge to donate his vital organs that could be used to save lives of others. He also encouraged his 100 friends and fans to pledge their organs too for the larger cause of humanity.

“Every life, especially those of humans, must have a meaning to it! I believe, if we can give something back to this society of which we are a part, our life will have the right meaning. Helping others see, breath, survive, after our demise is certainly the noblest thing we can think of,” he said at a ceremony to sign the pledge.

“I would request all my friends and all those who love and appreciate my work as an actor to think of pledging their organs to help millions of people whose lives otherwise are mired in darkness,” the actor said.

KIMS Hospitals MD Dr. Bollineni Bhaskar Rao said that Jagapathi Babu essayed many roles in his acting career which inspired others, and today by pledging his organs, he has become a real hero and a true inspiration for millions of people in the society. He hoped that his act will not just encourage his fans to follow his steps but will also help spread awareness about the organ donation.

The speakers noted that every year, many pledge their organs and hundreds of transplant surgeries are performed post harvesting suitable organs from the deceased individuals. Yet in a country of the size of India, the need is for every citizen to come forward and pledge their organs to ensure no life is cut-short due to a failed organ. The governments at the Centre and in states are doing everything possible to create awareness and encourage people to step forward and agree to donate their organs after demise.

Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu is quite busy and is juggling between the various industries in South. There are speculations about his Bollywood debut and the actor is all set for a grand debut in Hindi. Bollywood’s top director Ashutosh Gowariker is all set to direct his next and the film features Farhan Akhtar and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Jagapathi Babu is finalized as the lead antagonist in this film.

This untitled project is an adventurous film and Farhan Akhtar plays a Forest Officer. The entire film will be shot abroad. Ashutosh’s recent attempts ended up as flops at the Hindi box-office. On the other hand, Jagapathi Babu is busy with several Telugu movies and he is the highest-paid character actor currently.

Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu took a U-turn and played the lead antagonist in Balakrishna’s Legend. His role received a top-class response that he emerged as the highest-paid character actor in South. He has done decent films like Srimanthudu, Hello, Rangasthalam, Saakshyam, Goodachari, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Maharshi and the list goes on. The actor was approached for one more powerful role in Sai Tej’s next film, a political drama that will be directed by Deva Katta.

The makers already roped in Ramya Krishna for a pivotal role. Jagapathi Babu gave his nod recently after he was completely impressed with the role. The regular shoot of this untitled film commences from October 19th and Nivetha Pethuraj is the leading lady. Sri Balaji Media will produce this untitled film which will release during the first quarter of 2021. Sai Dharam Tej’s next release Solo Brathuke So Better will have a digital release and the streaming date will be announced soon.

Veteran hero Jagapathi Babu started his second innings as an antagonist and is winning hearts. Along with these, he has been picking up challenging roles and is signing films in all the Indian languages. During his recent interview, Jagapathi revealed that he is busy with 13 films currently in various Indian languages. The actor has been asked to play a pivotal role in Ajay Devgn’s next film Taanaji which is said to be a periodic drama.

Directed by Om Raut, the regular shoot of the film starts during the end of this month. Ajay Devgn plays Subedar Taanaji Malusare who fought alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. Jagapathi Babu plays a crucial role and the makers conducted a look test recently. The actor’s menacing look has been making rounds across internet. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Ajay Devgn Productions are producing this big budget epic. Kajol is uniting back with Ajay Devgn on screen after nine years with Taanaji.
