Later, during his Yuva Galam pada yatra aqua farmers from Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district met Lokesh at the Kshatriya Kalyana Mandapam and in a memorandum submitted to him said that they are not getting MSP for the aqua products. Lokesh promised to come to the rescue of the aqua farmers once the TDP is back in power. He said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, totally destroyed the aqua farming in the State by withdrawing several subsidies that were available to them during the TDP regime.

As the pada yatra entered Amalapuram, the locals gave a rousing reception to Lokesh while the local women complained to him about the skyrocketing prices of essentials and the highest power charges in the State due to which their lives were turning horrible. Lokesh promised them to bring down the prices immediately after the TDP is back in power.

At the Clock-Tower centre handloom workers submitted a memorandum to Lokesh in which they said that the 30 per cent rebate on the sale of handloom clothes that was available during the TDP regime is withdrawn now. Expressing concern that the YSRP Government has completely destabilised the handloom sector, Lokesh said that once the TDP forms the coming government all the subsidies and the rebates will be revived.

At Mummidivaram Gate various differently abled union representatives met Lokesh and made an appeal to him to increase the monthly pension for the physically challenged from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 for which Lokesh agreed. They also wanted the Physically Challenged Act-2016 be implemented and houses for them. Lokesh regretted that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is ignoring the differently abled persons too and promised to extend all possible help once the TDP is into power again.

The Setti Balija representatives, in a memorandum to Lokesh said that the welfare corporation set up during the TDP rule for their community is now not functioning as the current Government stopped allocation of funds for it. Lokesh assured them that funds will be allocated to the corporation as per their population ratio once the TDP forms the next government.

For these reasons we are calling Jagan as psycho, says Lokesh

0

“We have not named Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a psycho,” TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, said here on Friday and stated that sitting inside the Secretariat building, which is constructed by the TDP in the people’s capital of Amaravathi, the Chief Minister says what is this capital.

Lokesh said that Jagan claims that he will convert Visakhapatnam as the capital and order for the release of the GOs through backdoors to shift the Government offices by managing the systems through the courts have issued clear directions. Jagan forcibly vacated the Millennium Towers built by the TDP government for the development of Information Technology (IT), Lokesh said in the statement.

“You are chasing away companies to the neighbouring States with which the State gets massive revenue resulting in lakhs of youth losing job opportunities,” he said. Destroying the Rishi Konda, Jagan has totally dismantled Kailasagiri, Lokesh said, adding that Visakhapatnam has completely been razed to ground. “What will you do sit on these ruins psycho Jagan,” Lokesh asked.

Lokesh said that Jagan is fit to be called a psycho as he is wasting thousands of crores of public money as the expiry date of his Government is only for three more months.

Fear of defeat leads YSRCP leaders to attack on TDP leaders, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday alleged that the ruling YSR Congress leaders were now feared of their defeat in the coming general elections. He said out of fear, the YSR Congress leaders were physically attacking the opposition TDP leaders.

He cited the example of YSR Congress leader Kotala Chandrasekhar Reddy of Bhimavaram village of Chandragiri mandal in Chittoor district. He said that the YSR Congress leader attacked TDP village unit president Munirathnam.

Lokesh said that Munirathnam’s condition is very serious now. He wished that Munirathnam would survive the injuries and recover soon. He promised to support him and his family in the hour of crisis.

Lokesh said that there was no law and order in the state under the YSR Congress rule. The police too were helping the ruling party leaders, he alleged. He appealed to the rank and file of the TDP to face the situation and fight back against the YSR Congress party’s violence.

TDP AP unit president K Atchennaidu also condemned the attack on Munirathnam. He expressed confidence that Munirathnam would recover soon and become active in the party programmes.

He said that the YSR Congress president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was travelling in special flights and helicopters in the air, while leaving law and order to its fate. He asked the chief minister to focus on improving law and order. He said that the TDP, when in power, did not target the opposition leaders.

Atchennaidu wanted the Chittoor district police to book criminal cases against Chandrasekhar Reddy who attacked and injured Munirathnam. He wanted the DGP also to take special interest in the case and ensure that Chandrasekhar Reddy is arrested and sent to jail.

Police are terrifying people in AP, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday felt that some police officers in the State are vying with one another to get a place in the Guinness Book of World Records in filing false cases.

The general secretary of the Telugu Yuvatha of Narasaraopet Assembly segment, Gangireddy Srinivasa Reddy, was picked up for an inquiry in a case regarding certain postings on social media but later he is implicated in a liquor case, Lokesh said.

A total of 60,000 cases have been registered in the past four-and-half years in various parts of the State against TDP leaders and activists, Lokesh pointed out.

Such police officers who are trying to create problems for the TDP cadre only to satisfy the Chief Minister, will have to pay a very heavy price soon, Lokesh maintained. The TDP will stand by Gangireddy Srinivasa Reddy, he added.

He also condemned the police attack on a soldier in Anakapalli district. He wondered why the police wanted a man to download Disha App, which is meant for women. He blamed the police for attacking soldier Syed Alimullah of Regulapalem for not downloading the Disha App.

He wondered what a man would do with the Disha App in his mobile when the App is meant for women. He wanted the state police to take stringent action against the police who attacked the soldier in full public view.

Jagan adopting vengeful attitude towards Oppn, says Lokesh

0

Regretting that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has fast turned Andhra Pradesh into a violent State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday said that the Chief Minister is adopting a completely vengeful attitude towards the Opposition parties.

Lokesh, the president of the State unit of the TDP, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, and others called on the Governor to submit a letter detailing the prevailing situation in the State. Talking to the media at Raj Bhavan after completing the 45-minute-long meeting with the Governor, Lokesh said that they have informed the Governor that false cases are being foisted against their party supremo and former chief minister Chandrababu.

“We also explained to the Governor how Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was prevented from entering Andhra Pradesh,” he said. Stating that the Governor is briefed that 260 cases have been registered against the TDP leaders, Lokesh said that they also informed him how the downtrodden sections of society are being harassed.

Also, the attacks on the judiciary and how Chandrababu has been arrested without taking into consideration the Section 17-A of the CrPC, are brought to the notice of the Governor, Lokesh added. Making it clear that he will never get scared of anyone, Lokesh said that the people are now ready to wage a war against this ‘unruly’ Government.

The TDP will decide the future course of action after getting clarity on the cases pending before the courts against Chandrababu, he said that a TDP team led by Atchen Naidu will meet the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Wednesday to explain the irregularities in the voters lists. Observing that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is an accused in 35 cases, Lokesh said that the YSRCP accounts clearly mention that Rs 150 cr has been paid as advance. “Where did this money go, paid in the name of advance,” he asked.

Lokesh said that the TDP’s alliance with the Jana Sena has almost been finalised and the joint election manifesto will be released soon. Both the parties will soon take up agitational programmes on the prevailing drought situation in the State.

Lokesh meets Governor, complaints against Jagan govt

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Tuesday met Governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer and lodged a complaint with him against the state government. He alleged that the state government was booking false cases against the TDP leaders including former chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Lokesh, coming out of the Raj Bhavan, told media persons that this government had filed over 60,000 cases on the TDP leaders across the state. He alleged that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was working with a single motive of targeting the political rivals. This government is working with political vendetta, Lokesh said.

Stating that he is not scared of cases, Lokesh reiterated that he would fight against all odds and come back to power in the state. He emphasised the need to defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy in the coming elections.

Earlier, in a letter submitted to the AP Governor, Lokesh expressed concern that democracy in Andhra Pradesh has been on a downward spiral since Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed leadership of the state. He stated that Jagan Reddy consistently shows disregard for the constitution, democracy, and the rule of law. Lokesh emphasized that the Jagan Reddy regime has openly targeted Leader of the Opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu, who remains the most prominent voice in public resistance against oppression and mis-governance affecting the 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh. He also mentioned that the ‘Rogue Regime’ attempted to disrupt his foot march, “Yuva Galam,” through various physical attacks and false police cases.

Lokesh’s letter to the Governor disclosed that the regime had targeted numerous senior leaders and countless workers of the Telugu Desam Party. He pointed out that one TDP leader, JC Prabhakar Reddy, is facing nearly 70 cases, while State Party President K. Atchannaidu has been in police custody for varying periods without valid charges.

Lokesh also noted that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu was falsely charged and arrested in gross violation of Section 17 (A) of the Prevention of Corruption Act in the alleged Skill Development case.

After the meeting with the Governor, Lokesh spoke to the media and stated that they had informed him about the state’s conditions. He revealed that over 260 cases have been filed against TDP senior leaders, with 60,000 cases registered against TDP activists and sympathizers during Jagan’s regime.

Furthermore, the TDP General Secretary informed the AP Governor about Pawan Kalyan being prevented from entering the state and the injustices faced by Amarnath Goud, Shyam Kumar, and Misbah. Nara Lokesh stressed that the Governor bears the responsibility of upholding the constitution in Andhra Pradesh and requested his intervention in preserving the constitution in the state.

Attacks on Dalits Backed by Jagan’s Government, says Lokesh

0

TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh, who has consistently raised his voice against the atrocities inflicted upon Dalits in Andhra Pradesh, has today emphasized that the series of attacks on Dalits continues in the state under the instigation of the government.

In response to another incident where a member of the YSRCP, Muttareddy, severely insulted and attacked the family of Dalit man Nippula Koteswara Rao in Peddapuram of Veerullapadu Mandal in NTR district, Lokesh pointed out that the state’s encouragement of such attacks is evident from the government’s reluctance to take action against those responsible. He revealed that when the victim, Koteswara Rao, reported to the police that Muttareddy insulted him based on his caste, the police ignored the complaint.

Furthermore, the staff at Nandigama Government Hospital refused to provide medical care to the victim’s family after the attack. Nara Lokesh highlighted these instances as clear indications that the ongoing attacks on Dalits are supported by the Jagan government.

Lokesh expressed that the bailable sections filed against the accused in Dalit youth Kandru Shyam Kumar’s attack suggests that these attacks on Dalits have the backing of the government. He appealed to the Central Government and the National Human Rights Commission to intervene and ensure the protection of Dalits amidst the prevailing anarchy in Andhra Pradesh.

Lokesh demands compensation for Vijayawada bus accident victims

0

It is really painful that three persons died in the bus accident inside the Jawaharlal Nehru Bus Station in Vijayawada, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh said on Monday and felt that the State Government should take the responsibility for the incident.

On learning about the bus accident, Lokesh said that as per the preliminary reports the accident took place as the bus rammed into the platform. Lokesh felt that such frequent accidents are taking place in the State as outdated buses are being plied and not even a single bus was purchased after the YSRCP came to power.

The State Government has not been releasing funds for the past four years even for purchasing nuts and bolts, Lokesh said in the press note adding that the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) staff members are under severe pressure as there is no recruitment in the corporation to fill the vacant posts.

Expressing deep sympathies with the family members of the accident victims, Lokesh demanded proper compensation to the families of the victims.

Why Cabinet did not review drought situation, asks Lokesh

0

Maintaining that almost several villages are being vacated in Kurnool district due to the prevailing drought condition, which is really causing trouble, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, said on Saturday that the available statistics clearly indicate that the State has recorded the lowest rainfall this year in the past 100 years.

In a press note released here, Lokesh said Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is more interested in fixing the leaders of the Opposition parties in fabricated cases than coming to the rescue of the farmers who are reeling under severe drought conditions. “He has no interest to come to the rescue of the farmers except looting the State,” Lokesh said.

When the farming sector is reeling under such a severe drought, the Cabinet which met on Friday did not even discuss this issue and this clearly reflects its commitment towards the farmers, Lokesh remarked. He felt that at least the Cabinet did not review the scanty rainfall situation in the State which is really painful, he said.

Observing that it is atrocious that the State Government has declared only 100 mandals as drought-hit when the situation is prevailing in over 400 mandals, Lokesh appealed to the State Government to immediately come to the rescue of the farmers on a war-footing basis even by relaxing certain norms.

‘The plight of patients under trees is a reflection of Jagan’s regime’

0

TDP General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, strongly criticized the Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, for its failure to provide proper shelter for patients, resulting in them receiving treatment under the shade of trees at Vijayapuri South Community Hospital in Macherla Assembly Constituency, Palnadu district.

Lokesh emphasized that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s four and a half years of incompetence has become a curse for the people and the state government has utterly neglected public health. The TDP National General Secretary called on the Chief Minister to feel ashamed about providing medical services under trees at this government hospital, which serves as the sole healthcare facility for tribal communities in the Nallamala forest.

Highlighting this situation occurring in the home district of the State Medical and Health Minister Vidadala Rajini, Nara Lokesh questioned the state of healthcare in remote tribal areas like the Alluri Sitaramaraju district. He pointed out that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the state witnessed the tragic loss of thousands of innocent lives due to oxygen shortages.

Furthermore, Lokesh stressed that essential medical supplies such as cotton and gauze are often unavailable, even in teaching hospitals like those in Kurnool and Anantapur, due to the financial constraints of Jagan’s administration. He questioned how the Chief Minister can claim that medical and health services are being delivered to people at their doorsteps through programs like Jagananna Arogya Suraksha when such dire conditions persist in the state.

Lokesh slams Jagan govt on atrocities against Dalits

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday came down heavily on the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government for increasing atrocities against the Dalits in the state. He said that the atrocities started with Dr. Sudhakar are continuing even now.

He said a Dalit driver Subrahmanyam was killed and the body was door delivered. The man who killed Subrahmanyam was moving with Jagan Mohan Reddy, Lokesh said. He criticised the government for neglecting the protection of Dalits in the state.

He said a Dalit youth in Kanchikacherla of NTR district was tied-up for four hours and was beaten up. When the youth asked for drinking water, the accused gave him their urine, Lokesh said.

Lokesh wanted the state police to book cases against those who abducted the youth and harassed him. He wanted the police to arrest the persons responsible for the heinous act.

He also asked the AP SC Commission to respond to the incident. He wondered whether the SC commission was alive or sleeping. He asked the SC leaders in the ruling YSR Congress to respond to the incident and ensure that the accused are arrested and sent to jail.

Lokesh said that atrocities against the Dalits were increasing in the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He alleged that the police were also turning blind eye to the atrocities against the Dalits.

Lokesh gives yet another protest call

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday gave a fresh call to the people to hold a protest on Sunday against the illegal arrest of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Lokesh said that the protest would be held across the world from 7 pm to 7.05 pm on Sunday.

He wanted the people to tie their eyes and raise slogans like Nijam Gelavali. He wanted the rank and file of the party and the people of Andhra Pradesh to open the eyes of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to the truth.

The TDP had already held protests like Mota Mogiddam, Kantito Kranti, Nyayaniki Sankellu and Jaganasura Dahanam ever since Chandrababu Naidu was arrested. They beat the plates and made a sound as part of their protest. Later, they held candles in hand and observed silence in protest.

The TDP leaders also tied their hands as part of Nyayaniki Sankellu protest. They burnt the effigies of Jagan Mohan Reddy on Dasara as part of Jaganasura Dahanam programme.

The latest is to tie their eyes and shout Nijam Gelavali so that Jagan Mohan Reddy would open his eyes to the truth. Lokesh said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was not prepared to see the truth and is going with political vendetta.

He wanted the people to raise their voice against Jagan Mohan Reddy’s anarchic rule in the state for the last four-and-a-half years. He wanted the people to end Jagan’s rule in the state in the coming elections.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media at Rajamahendravaram, Lokesh alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy was influencing the institutions. He said that Jagan was on bail for ten years, which never happened in the country.

Similarly, those who killed Vivekananda Reddy were roaming around and the CBI could not arrest the accused. Similarly, they were influencing the institutions to keep Chandrababu Naidu in jail. He said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government could not prove even a single charge against Chandrababu Naidu in the last 50 days.

“I am throwing an open challenge to the ruling party leaders. Show me a single charge against Chandrababu Naidu. What have you done in the last 50 days? What was the new evidence you have found,” Lokesh asked the ruling party leaders.

Don’t arrest Lokesh till Oct 4, AP HC tells CID

1

The Andhra Pradesh high court on Friday told the APCID not to arrest TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh till October 4. The court posted the anticipatory bail petitions of Lokesh in the fibergrid and inner ring road cases to October 4.

However, the court had told them that the APCID could issue notices to Lokesh under CRPC 41A before arresting him. The court also told Lokesh to cooperate with the CID in the investigation.

A team of officials from the APCID have left for New Delhi where Lokesh is currently camping. The officials want to serve him the notice. The officials are searching the houses of the TDP MPs and other senior leaders to know the whereabouts of Lokesh.

Lokesh is holding meetings with the party supporters and the senior advocates from the Supreme Court on the cases to be filed in support of his father Chandrababu Naidu and on his behalf. Lokesh is also accused in the skill development scam, inner ring road and fibergrid cases, which were filed by the APCID.

Meanwhile, the TDP in Andhra Pradesh had given a call to its ranks and file to make sound on September 30 in support of Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently serving the remand period in the Rajamahendravaram central jail in the skill development case.

The TDP wanted every leader or activist of the TDP to beat the drums or plates or sound horn of the vehicles between 7 pm and 7.05 pm on Saturday. This is in support of Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP said.

Lokesh fears of Naidu’s death in the jail

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday expressed fear that his father and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu would be killed in the Rajamahendravaram central jail by the ruling YSR Congress.

He saw the conspiracy by the ruling YSR Congress to kill his father. He blamed the ruling party and the jail officials for not providing adequate security measures for Naidu in the jail. “There are mosquitoes in the jail room. A prisoner died recently of dengue,” Lokesh said on social media.

Lokesh blamed the state government for arresting Chandrababu Naidu and sending him for judicial remand. He also blamed the government for filing PT warrants in the ACB court one after the other. All the cases that the AP CID had filed against Naidu have no legal validity, Lokesh said.

He also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was arrested only to eliminate him before the 2024 general election. The YSR Congress leaders have hatched the plan to end Naidu physically out of fear of losing the next general elections.

He made an appeal to the people of the state and those Telugu speaking people across the world to raise their voice against the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. He also wanted the leaders of various political parties to raise their voice against Naidu’s arrest.

He said that the TDP would continue to fight against the arrest and bring Naidu back to the people if the cases filed against him are quashed in the court.

Meanwhile, the TDP leaders across the state have been holding protests in their respective areas against the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP leaders and the activists have been visiting the temples to offer special prayers seeking early release of Chandrababu Naidu.

Very first decision of Jagan as CM is destructive, says Lokesh

0

The very first decision taken by Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Chief Minister is also destructive which he ordered for the demolition of the Praja Vedika, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday.

Jagan Mohan Reddy who came to power seeking one chance was given a mandate with 151 Assembly seats and 22 Lok Sabha seats but his very first decision after becoming the Chief Minister was ordering for the demolition of the Praa Vedika, Lokesh told media persons here. “This psycho’s deep desire is to somehow send the former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, for remand,” remarked Lokesh.

Observing that the people of the State have been facing various kinds of difficulties for the past four years, Lokesh pointed out that when the YSRCP leaders killed a woman, Hazi Rabi, at Yemmiganur, after sexually assaulting her during the Covid period, no action has been taken till now against these persons. When a boy, Amarnath Goud, was mercilessly burnt to death no action was initiated against those responsible for this inhuman act, he said.

Also, no case has been registered when the entire family members of one Abdul Kalam at Nandyal as they were subjected to continuous harassment making baseless allegations against them, Lokesh recalled. Why no case has been registered against the persons responsible for beating a constable to death in Kurnool and the YSRCP leaders responsible for all these crimes have not been brought to book till now, Lokesh said.

But when the TDP and Jana Sena leaders fight on public issues cases are being booked and leaders of other parties too are harassed, he said. “At least 20 cases, including an attempted murder case, have been registered against me in this Government,” Lokesh pointed out.

Noting that when Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, was to come to the State, the local District Superintendent of Police (AP) called the airport officials over phone to see to it that his plane should not land, Lokesh said that the cause mentioned for this was that if Pawan Kalyan visits the State it will create law and order problem. When Pawan was coming by road almost a war-like atmosphere was created on the inter-State border, he stated.

Where did Pawan Kalyan go except to his party office, Lokesh asked and said that when the TDP supremo, Chandrababu, was campaigning at Punganur the YSRCP workers pelted stones at him. Till now the police did not initiate any action on this and when the TDP activists revolted, cases were booked and 400 party activists were sent to jail, he stated.

Scam is only an attempt to tarnish Naidu’s image, says Lokesh

0

Observing that TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, always thinks about the progress of the people, party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday felt that the Skill Development Corporation scam is brought onto the screen only to smear Chandrababu’s image with charges of corruption.

Making it clear that the Skill Development scam is totally false, Lokesh said that Chandrababu is never involved in any kind of corruption. “Corruption is not in his blood,” he remarked. Pointing out that Chandrababu is a national-level politician, Lokesh stated that 42 Skill Development centres were set up to impart training to 2.13 lakh youth.

It is Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who prevented the arrest of his party MP, Avinash Reddy, in the murder case of his own paternal uncle, when the police came to Kurnool, Lokesh pointed out. For Jagan, power means taking revenge on Opposition parties leaders, he remarked.

It is Ajay Kallam Reddy, a retired IAS officer now advisor in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), who granted permission for the project and why his name is missing from the FIR, Lokesh asked. Also, not even a single charge-sheet has been filed in the past two years in this case, he pointed out.

Demanding the ruling party leaders to prove as to how Chandrababu got this money, Lokesh stated that there is no proof whatsoever that Chandrababu has accepted money from anyone. Since there is no mistake committed these persons could not prove it, he noted.

Jagan’s sole aim is to file false cases against the leaders of Opposition parties, Lokesh said and felt that those who are now making baseless allegations should have to pay the price oneday. Making it clear that he will continue his fight, Lokesh dared the Government to register any number of cases against him.

“I am now in Rajamahendravaram and anyone who wants to take me into custody can come and arrest me,” Lokesh said. Stating that he will continue to chase this Government, Lokesh said that the Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, whom he treats as his elder brother, will certainly stand by him. Also, the party activists and leaders too will extend their support to him, he said.

Lokesh asked as to why the cases pending against Jagan, including 10 BCI cases, seven ED cases and 21 others, are not coming for hearing for the past 10 years. This clearly indicates how the systems are being managed, he remarked.

Lokesh names Yarlagadda as Gannavaram TDP incharge

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday announced the name of party leader Yarlagadda Venkatrao as the incharge of the party in Gannavaram Assembly constituency. He made this announcement before leaving the constituency during his Yuva Galam padayatra.

He called upon the rank and file of the party to work in coordination with Venkatrao and defeat sitting MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan in the coming elections. He said Vamsi was elected on the TDP ticket but had defected to the YSR Congress after the 2019 general election.

Stating that Gannavaram had been the TDP constituency for several years, he wanted the party leaders to ensure that the constituency remained with the TDP. He also recalled how Vamsi had insulted his mother and wanted the TDP cadre to take revenge on him.

Earlier in the day, Lokesh admitted several MPPs, former MPPs, ZPTCs and former ZPTCs into the party along with Venkatrao.

Later, Venkatrao asked the party leaders to work with him to see the defeat of Vamsi in the next election. He said that the YSR Congress leaders have insulted him in the last four years. He also alleged that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy did not give audience to him despite he is running around.

Venkatrao said that he would win the Gannavaram Assembly seat in the next election and show his power and that of the party to everyone.

Venkatrao said that the TDP cadre remained with the party despite Vamsi leaving it in 2019. He wanted those committed activists to stay with him.

He also said that he had come to politics only to do politics and not to be an anti-social element. He blamed Vamsi for lowering the image of an MLA by indulging in cheap talk. He called upon the rank and file to defeat Vamsi in the next election and give this seat as a gift to Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh.

Jagan’s obsession for money drove 40 l construction workers on roads, says Lokesh

1

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s obsession for money has driven 40 lakh construction workers onto the roads and for accumulating illegal assets he has ruined the lives of lakhs of workers, observed Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Wednesday.

The Jagan Government has looted the welfare fund of the construction workers amounting to a whooping Rs 2,000 cr, Lokesh said while interacting with trade union and builders representatives at the SM Convention Hall in Chinna Avutapalli of Gannavaram Assembly segment in the combined Krishna district during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Wednesday. These representatives expressed serious concern that the construction sector suffered maximum damage in the past four years due to the faulty policies of the State Government.

Informing Lokesh that several builders, agents and workers have migrated to Hyderabad in the recent past, they said from Vijayawada alone over one lakh construction workers have moved to Telangana in search of livelihood. These representatives made an appeal to Lokesh to revive the sector once the TDP is back in the government.

Assuring them that the revised taxes will be brought down by the coming TDP regime, Lokesh told them that a better policy on sand will also be formulated to strengthen the building industry. “The policy of the TDP is to provide maximum benefits and subsidies to sectors that create maximum possible employment opportunities,” he added. Lokesh expressed confidence that the construction industry will certainly get past glory in the coming TDP government.

Lokesh announced the name of Yarlagedda Venkat Rao as TDP incharge of the Gannavaram Assembly segment and called upon the party activists to work unitedly to ensure that the TDP emerges victorious in the coming polls. Several other leaders from different parties, particularly from the ruling YSRCP, joined the TDP in the presence of Lokesh.

Regretting for supporting Vamsi in the past two elections denying an opportunity for several senior local leaders, Lokesh felt that one should always abide by ethics and policies adopted by their respective political parties. The TDP general secretary made it clear that the party firmly stands by those who are facing illegal cases.

Lokesh appears before Mangalagiri court in defamation case

1

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Friday appeared in the Munsif magistrate court in Mangalagiri in a defamation case against actor Posani Krishna Murali and others. He gave his statement on the defamation case before the munsif magistrate.

Lokesh had filed the case against Posani Krishna Murali and one Santhi Prasad, for making allegations against him. Posani Krishna Murali had said that Lokesh owns 14 acres of land in Kantheru village outside Amaravati. He dared Krishna Murali and the YSR Congress government to prove the charges against him or face defamation case.

He said he had sent legal notices to Krishna Murali twice which he refused to accept. He wondered why Krishna Murali refused to accept if his charge against him was true. He also wondered why either Posani or the state government or even the YSR Congress failed to come up with documental evidence to prove the charge.

He said he would not leave anyone who makes baseless allegations against him or his family. He said that they have been living public life for four decades with his father in politics. He further said that his father Nara Chandrababu Naidu and grandfather N T Rama Rao were the chief ministers of the state for 20 years and wondered why he would go for unlawful deals.

Coming out of the court, Lokesh, while interacting with the media, said that chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was scared of him. “Lokesh before padayatra was different from Lokesh now. I am strong enough to face anyone and expose the corrupt leaders,” Lokesh said.

Lokesh said that he was able to understand the problems of the people in every district. He said he had gained greater knowledge during his padayatra and would be equipped with every issue from every village once he completed his padayatra.

He criticised Jagan Mohan Reddy for targeting the TDP leaders. He said he would not leave anyone whoever victimised the TDP leaders. He asserted that the TDP would form the government after the 2024 general election and advised Jagan Mohan Reddy to be prepared to run away from Andhra Pradesh.

Plot hatched inside Tadepalle palace to attack Chandrababu, says Lokesh

TDP national general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday suspected a conspiracy hatched inside the Tadepalle palace to attack party supremo and former chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Under the directions of the psycho Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, advisor to the Government, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Minister, Peddyreddy, the Director General of Police (DGP) and another IPS officer Rishanth Reddy, hatched the plot to attack Chandrababu with stones, Lokesh said while addressing a public meeting here as part of his pada yatra. “The YSRCP rowdies indulged in the attack and the YSRCP psychos pelted the stones while the case is registered against Chandrababu,” Lokesh remarked.

When a case of attempt to murder is registered against Chandrababu, it clearly reflects how cowardly Jagan is, the TDP national general secretary said. The DGP and other police officials should follow the Raja Reddy constitution but not the Ambedkar’s Constitution, he said.

Any number of cases can be filed against the TDP leaders, Lokesh said and made it clear that every case will have a return gift immediately after the TDP forms the coming government. If the police officials are dare enough they should arrest Jagan for the murder of his paternal uncle and send him behind bars, Lokesh observed.

Despite the obstructions being created at every stage, Chandrababu has been firmly resisting them and has thoroughly been exposing the misdeeds of the ruling dispensation, Lokesh maintained. When a Dalit inspector had committed suicide and when the police officials have been attacked why there is no response from the law enforcing agencies, he asked.

Jagan has forced his mother and sister out of his house while killing the motherland of Amaravathi, he stated. Recalling that Jagan had demanded that the capital be in the middle of the State spreading in an extent of minimum 30 acres, Mr Lokesh pointed out that before the 2019 elections this same YSRCP chief had even said that Amaravathi would remain to be the capital.

What happened after he won the polls and he completely took a ‘U’ turn and completely destroyed Amaravathi, the lifeline of the people of the State, Loeksh remarked. “It is certain that the TDP is going to come back to power in 2024 and immediately after forming the government all the problems will be addressed on a war-footing basis,” Lokesh said and appealed to the people to elect the TDP candidate in Peda Kurapadu with thumping majority.

The villagers of Andukuru in a memorandum wanted transport facility to Krosuru as and when the TDP is back in power, the TDP national general secretary said that the demand will certainly be conceded. Jagan is more interested in looting the sand than on developing the State, Lokesh promised them to provide all the basic facilities by the coming TDP administration.
