Lokesh announces TDP support to power sector staff stir

0

When the Tollywood hero, Chiranjeevi, had made some comments the ruling YSRCP leaders coming onto the roads were barking at him, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday.

Addressing a massive public meeting at Chotapapayapalem of Sattenapalli Assembly segment in the combined Guntur district as part of his Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh asked did Chiranjeevi speak anything wrong. The Tollywood hero only asked the ruling party not to play politics with the film industry and asked the State Government to focus on people’s welfare, Special Category Status for the State, irrigation projects and on roads repair besides creating employment opportunities to the jobless, Lokesh said.

Since Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, did nothing for the State in the past four years, these YSRCP ‘puppies’ are getting angry, Lokesh remarked. Is it not a fact that Minister, Ambati Ramababu, has danced to the tunes, he asked. “Did they not realise the values when a film was made with a cooked-up story blaming TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, me and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan,” the TDP general secretary questioned.

Stating that almost all sections in the State are the victims of Jagan, including the Electricity Board employees, Lokesh said that in the YSRCP rule Andhra Pradesh has turned into ‘andhakara’ (dark) Pradesh. Lokesh announced the TDP full support to the ongoing agitation by the Electricity Board employees. Observing that Jagan has taken for a ride even the contract employees, Lokesh asked the Electricity Board employees to give a ‘current shock’ to the Chief Minister.

The TDP general secretary said that the party has already announced various welfare schemes in the name of ‘Bhavishaythuku Guarantee’ and said that immediately after forming the next government the party will take measures to fill all the vacant posts in various government wings. Farmers issues also will be resolved on a war-footing basis, he said and added that the allowances now deducted to the police department staff members will be restored.

Earlier, when the villagers Kondamodu complained of various problems and demanded panchayat status for their village, Lokesh promised to solve these problems once the TDP forms the coming government. Safe drinking water will be supplied to every doorstep and priority will be given to provide basic amenities like roads, he added.

After successfully completing the pada yatra in Sattenapalle segment the Yuva Galam entered Pedakurapadu Assembly constituency in the evening.

I have filed 7 cases against YSRCP leaders, says Lokesh

0

Telugu Desam Party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday made it clear that he will chase all those who are indulging in spreading false propaganda against him.

Lokesh has filed cases with the additional munsif magistrate court at Mangalagiri against the then chairman of the Skill Development Corporation, Ajay Reddy, and a media house that published what he called as fake news. ”Ajay Reddy has made baseless allegation against me that I have resorted to a big scam by getting funds sanctioned for the Skill Development Corporation while the media house has published a baseless story that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is targeting me,” Lokesh told the media after giving his version before the magistrate.

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has three goals. One is to sidetrack his mother and sister while the other is to eliminate his paternal uncle and in both the issues he is successful, Lokesh remarked. ”The third is, Mr Jagan wants to see to it that I and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, should be arrested at least for a day in any false case. But in this he miserably failed and thus he is now resorting to this kind of cases,” Lokesh remarked.

Stating that he never resorted to any kind of corruption like Jagan, the TDP general secretary stated that though hundreds of allegations have been made Jagan could not prove even a single charge. ”From the days of my grandfather, the late NT Rama Rao, till today thousands of allegations have been made against our family members and not even one could be proved. That is our credibility,” Lokesh maintained. ”If I make any mistake my father himself will punish me unlike the father of Jagan,” he noted.

Stating that Jagan has cheated everyone in the State, Lokesh asked how the disputed lands in Amaravathi can be distributed to the poor. ”As soon as we come back to power we will build houses for the poor with all the facilities,” Lokesh said and added that it is the TDP that is going to win Mangalagiri seat.

Jagan’s inefficiency is curse to AP, says Lokesh

0

The inefficient administration of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has become a curse to the State, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

During the ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra, when the villagers of Santhanuthalapadu of combined Prakasam district, in a memorandum raised several issues, including the lack of safe drinking water to the, Lokesh said though the Centre has released its share of funds to provide safe drinking water to the people of the State, this inefficient Chief Minister could not avail the benefit since the State’s share was not paid due to non-availability of funds. On the floor of Parliament, the Union Minister has made it clear that the State Government could not avail the benefit of the Jal Jeevan scheme since 2021, Lokesh said.

“Jagan has the credit of taking Andhra Pradesh much behind Bihar in availing the benefits of the Jal Jeevan scheme,” the TDP general secretary observed. Immediately after the TDP forms the next government, the drinking water problem will be resolved permanently in the whole State, Lokesh declared.

Later in an interaction with two-wheeler mechanics of Santhanuthalapadu, Lokesh said that the State will soon get rid of the virus that has been plaguing the State for the past four years. He said that since the technology is being frequently upgraded even in two-wheeler operations too, the ruling dispensation should take the responsibility of training the mechanics to suit the changing trends. Once the TDP is back in power the bike mechanics will be imparted training to upgrade themselves to meet the changing trends, Lokesh said.

Observing that the TDP aims at building poverty-free Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh said that self-employment will be given top priority in the coming TDP government. Lokesh said that he is very fond of driving a bike and several times he reached the mechanic whenever his two-wheeler gave him trouble.

When the villagers of Mangamuru wanted their problems to be addressed, Lokesh said once the TDP is into power in the next elections, all their issues will be redressed. Safe drinking water will be supplied to every doorstep and all the roads will be rebuilt once the TDP forms the next government, Lokesh maintained.

AP turned into crime capital of India, says Lokesh

0

Coming down heavily on the Director General of Police (DGP) for claiming that there is no increase in the crime rate in Andhra Pradesh, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday felt that the State has already turned into the crime capital of India.

In a press note released during his Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh told the DGP to view the ongoing criminal incidents as an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer but not from the ruling YSRCP angle. It is unfortunate that evil crimes like murders, kidnaps and raping incidents are being viewed as voluntary services, Lokesh commented in a sarcastic manner.

“Only on Friday you have certified yourself that there is no increase in the crime rate and that the law and order is completely under control. What about the setting afire the 10th standard boy, Amarnath, so inhumanly at Uppalavaripalem of Cherukupalli mandal in Bapatla district by the local YSRCP worker, Venkateswara Reddy. Is it not a crime,” Lokesh asked and said that the only mistake that Amarnath committed was that he questioned Venkateswara Reddy for harassing his sister.

Observing that these many atrocities have not been reported even in old Bihar, Lokesh pointed out the murder of a Dalit, Krishnaiah, in the home constituency of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, a Dalit woman was done to death again in the Chief Minister’s home district, gang rape next to the Chief Minister’s residence, a girl was raped in daylight in Nellore and the abduction of the family members of an MP. “Are they not considered to be crimes or appear to be voluntary service to you,” Lokesh asked the DGP in the press note.

At Kallur campsite of Venkatagiri Assembly segment in Nellore district, Lokesh had an interaction with Yanadi community representatives. After hearing all their problems, the TDP general secretary promised to sanction pucca houses to them immediately after his party forms the coming government. He also promised Rs 1500 as monthly pension for women who crossed 18 years of age.

After feeling your troubles I decided to come to your rescue, Lokesh tells R’seema

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday promised the people of Rayalaseema that his Yuva Galam pada yatra has given him an opportunity to have the first hand information on the troubles being faced by them and that he will certainly take measures to come to their rescue to wipe their tears.

Releasing the Mission Rayalaseema at a programme organised by the party leaders in the presence of a massive gathering, Lokesh said that the TDP has designed a special programme for the benefit of the dairy farmers. Assuring the farming community to transform Rayalaseema as a horticultural hub, the TDP national general secretary promised to initiate steps to supply irrigation water for every acre by completing the ongoing projects.

“My aim is to ensure that the farmers get more benefits and that the investments are brought down. Quality seeds will be supplied and processing and pulping units will be set up in Rayalaseema,” he added. This apart, Lokesh said that the region will be developed as a temple and eco tourist centre thus increasing the job opportunities.

Rayalaseema will be transformed as a sports capital of India and a sports university will be established in the region, Lokesh said. Sports will be developed in such a way that the youth from here should take part in the global sports competitions, he stated.

“I am promising you all that once the TDP is back in power Rayalaseema will be a centre for the automobile and electronics industry. The sectors will be developed by utilising the industrial corridors of Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad as a result of which employment opportunities will grow,” Lokesh maintained.

This apart, the mining industry too will be developed besides cement and building material industries will be established on a large scale in Rayalaseema, he said. Every household in Rayalaseema will be supplied with safe drinking water through water grids and these are the goals of the TDP, Lokesh said in the Mission Rayalaseema.

I have taken people’s problems to Chandrababu’s notice, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday said that he has taken the problems of the people, that he discovered during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra, to the notice of party supremo and former chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

“On learning about all your troubles, Chandrababu Naidu has announced several welfare schemes at the Mahanadu in the name of Future Guarantee,” Lokesh said addressing a huge public meeting at Jammalamadugu on beginning his pada yatra on Tuesday after a four-day gap. Lokesh gave a halt to his Yuva Galam as he attended the Mahanadu at Rajamahendravaram.

Expressing deep satisfaction at the massive gathering for his public meeting, Lokesh felt that he is fortunate enough to undertake his pada yatra on a historic land like Jammalamadugu. Observing that the YSRCP leaders are getting totally disturbed at even the mini manifesto of the TDP announced at Mahanadu, Lokesh felt that once the main manifesto is announced the chapter of the YSRCP will come to an end.

Stating that the YSRCP leaders are asking as to how the schemes announced in the mini manifesto will be implemented, he made it clear that Chandrababu is a creator of assets and the TDP can easily implement all the schemes. “Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is a liar as he did not implement even a single promise made to the people. What happened to the promise of total prohibition and how Jagan will go to the people seeking votes again,” he asked.

Jagan always wants the people to remain in poverty, Lokesh said and promised to create 20 lakh jobs in five years. “I am assuring you all that once the TDP forms the next government job calendar will be announced every year and study circles will be set up in all the districts in the State,” the TDP general secretary stated.

Reiterating that he will revolt if any obstructions are created for his pada yatra, Lokesh said that the YSRCP leaders tried to cause some hurdles much before he entered Kadapa district. Making a fervent appeal to the people to give a chance to the TDP, he said that once the party is back in power the people will witness what is development.

Lokesh is continuing his pada yatra in darkness as the local officials disconnected the power supply. The streetlights on the thoroughfares were deliberately switched off while a firm Lokesh did not relent and continued his Yuva Galam with a massive following of the people.

Jagan diverting panchayat funds, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has diverted the funds mean for panchayats development leaving the rural areas without basic facilities, said Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Tuesday.

During his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, the villagers of Palledoddi of Alur Assembly segment met Lokesh and informed him that even drinking water, drainage facility and road facility are not there in their village and in the neighbouring areas too. The local women were very vocal that the drainage system is in a very horrible position and the less said the better about the drinking water supply.

Responding to the women’s grievance, Lokesh made it clear that once the TDP is back in power, all the issues of rural areas will be resolved on a war footing basis. Jagan Mohan Reddy has completely diverted the funds meant for panchayats leaving the villages in the lurch, Lokesh commented and assured them that not only the drainage system and the drinking water facility, all the problems in every village in the State will be resolved.

Later at Gadderalla, the villagers submitted a memorandum to Lokesh in which they said at least people from neighbouring eight villages move from Gadderalla and they are suffering a lot as the condition of the roads in their area is very bad. They also wanted a bus stand to be set up in their village since it is on the Kurnool-Bellary highway.

Jagan is totally neglecting the farming community and the rural areas in the State, Lokesh said and felt that there are absolutely no developmental programmes in any village in the State after the YSRCP came to power.

The TDP is committed to developing the rural parts, he said, adding that once the party forms the government again top priority will be given to the farming sector and developing the villages, particularly creating basic amenities.

Lokesh promises drinking water connections to all houses

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday promised to initiate measures soon after the party comes back to power to supply drinking water to all houses in the State.

Lokesh’s Yuva Galam pada yatra entered Pattikonda Assembly segment on Saturday afternoon and he was given a rousing reception by the local party leaders and large scale TDP activists besides leaders from Kurnool district under the leadership of the Assembly segment incharge, KE Shyam Babu.

At Sabashpuram, the villagers told Mr Lokesh that they are facing a severe drinking water problem as there is no overhead tank in the village nor any pipelines or taps. They informed Mr Lokesh that they have to carry water from the fields which are over a km long.

Though the TDP government launched the Jala Jeevan Mission to supply drinking water to every doorstep, there was a change in the administration after the 30 percent of works were completed, Lokesh told the villagers and said that the YSRCP Government is not releasing funds for this scheme.

He assured the villagers and also the people of the State that the scheme will be completed immediately after the TDP is back in power. Lokesh also said that solar-related units will be set up in Pattikonda Assembly constituency.

At Cherlakotthuru, the local Dalits complained that the ruling YSRCP leaders are forcefully occupying their lands and are threatening them with dire consequences if they enter these lands. In Peddakonda also the affected Dalits met Lokesh and explained in detail the anarchy of the ruling party leaders.

Though they approached the local Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) and even the District Collector justice was not done to them, they narrated to Lokesh. “When we tried to enter our own lands, the locals firmly resisted our entry and even attempted murder cases were booked against us. The local YSRCP leaders are also threatening to kill us if we try to enter our lands,” they said.

Strongly reacting to these complaints, Lokesh said there is no safety for Dalits lands in this YSRCP Government and after Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister at least 12,000 acres of Dalits lands were illegally occupied by the ruling party leaders in various parts of the State.

“Immediately after the TDP forms the government again, these lands will be handed over back to the Dalits and all the illegal cases booked against the Dalit community members will also be lifted,” Lokesh told them as an attempt to instill confidence in the Dalits.

People predicted future of AP through Council polls, says Naidu

0

The people of Andhra Pradesh have clearly predicted the future of the State by giving their verdict in the recent elections held for the Legislative Council seats, observed former chief minister and TD president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday.

Sobhakruth Ugadi celebrations are held at the TDP headquarters here under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu in which several senior party leaders participated in the programme. Later, addressing the TDP leaders and party functionaries, greeting the people of the State on the occasion of Telugu New Year, Chandrababu Naidu said that the verdict given by the people in the Council polls has come as a shock to many in the State.

“People have revolted against this dictatorial Government despite issuing threats and creating various kinds of problems to them,” remarked Chandrababu Naidu and felt that the ruling party leaders, who are expected to perform as per the public opinion are functioning most irresponsibly. The verdict given in the latest Council elections, the people of the State made it amply clear that activities of such leaders are no longer acceptable, he added.

Wishing that the farmers across the country, including in AP and Telangana, should remain happy and prosper with the increase in their revenue, Chandrabbau felt that the people in Andhra Pradesh are already facing various kinds of problems with skyrocketing prices of essentials and large scale increase in taxes.

Stating that the astrologers have forecast further hike in prices in the coming year, Chandrababu called upon the party leaders and activists to stand by the people. The TDP supremo said that Telugus are holding high positions in various fields across the globe and said that he pray the Almighty that the Telugu community should prosper further.

Chandrababu Naidu felicitated the pundits, including Pulapula Venkata Phanikumar Sarma, on this occasion.

Lokesh confident of TDP sweep in coming Assembly polls

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday expressed confidence that the party will sweep the entire State in the coming Assembly elections.

“The fan (symbol of the YSRCP) will get only single digit seats in the next elections,” Lokesh said addressing a massive public meeting at Kadiri as part of his ongoing pada yatra, Yuva Galam.

Stating that he is fortunate enough to undertake pada yatra in a historical place like Kadiri, Lokesh promised to set up a tourism circuit soon after the TDP is back into power to develop temple tourism here.

Maintaining that the results of the State Legislative Council polls are only trailer, Lokesh said that the TDP will exhibit the real picture in 2024. Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has misused the single chance that the people have given to him, he felt.

Jagan has taken Andhra Pradesh to number one position in the country only in ganja smuggling, heavy borrowings and increasing the fuel prices, Lokesh said and asked whether the Chief Minister has fulfilled his promise of filling the vacant posts regularly.

“Hundreds of people are losing their lives by consuming this cheap liquor but the Government is only bothered about minting money through the sale of this liquor,” he explained.

Lokesh expressed confidence that the TDP will certainly be in power in the coming polls. Recalling Jagan’s slogan ‘why not 175’, Mr Nara Lokesh said that the people of all the 175 Assembly segments are bidding bye bye to Jagan.

Taking revenge is not on TDP’s agenda, says Lokesh

0

Taking revenge on the Opposition parties is not on the agenda of the TDP and the party will only teach lessons to the rivals by implementing various welfare programmes thus winning the confidence of the people, party general secretary Nara Lokesh made it clear on Saturday.

Lokesh had a face-to-face programme with representatives of the Scheduled Tribes (STs) at Kokkanti Cross in Kadiri Assembly segment during his ingoing pada yatra, Yuva Galam. Responding to a series of problems narrated by these ST representatives, Lokesh said that immediately after forming the government the TDP will declare a war against unemployment to provide jobs to the youth and win the trust of the youth.

“This is going to be a return gift to the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who cheated the jobless youth,” Lokesh commented.

Observing that the TDP, while in power, recognised thandas and gudems with 500 and more population as panchayats, the TDP general secretary said that the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) too was set up during the TDP regime only keeping in view the progress of Girijans. Safe drinking water too was supplied to thandas through gravity by the TDP government and free power supply facility was provided by the TDP regime, he stated.

Facilities like subsidy loans and financial assistance for further studies abroad for STs were also implemented when Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister, while Rs 50,000 each was extended as assistance under Pelli Kanuka for Girijan women, Lokesh stated. It is the TDP that extended all kinds of assistance to the tribals both politically and financially, Lokesh told the ST representatives.

Earlier, the ST representatives told Mr Lokesh that there are no basic facilities in the thandas now and the roads are completely damaged. The State Government is least bothered to reconstruct the roads which is causing untold hardship to them, they informed Lokesh. Mobile network is not available at almost all the thandas, they said and stated that the ST backlog posts are not being filled.

Council results clearly indicate Jagan’s downfall has begun, says Lokesh

0

The outcome of the elections held for the Graduates constituencies in the AP Legislative Council clearly indicate that the downfall of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has begun, and it is the TDP that is going to come back to power, observed TDP general secretary and former minister, Nara Lokesh here on Friday.

Addressing a massive public meeting at Molakalacheruvu of Thamballapalle Assembly segment, Lokesh expressed confidence that the TDP is all set to assume power in the coming polls. Observing that he is fortunate enough to conclude his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, in Chittoor district at a historic place like Thamballapalle which produced fighters who fought for liberation, Lokesh said that he walked for 45 days in the district covering 14 Assembly segments spread over 577 km to have a first-hand information on the problems being faced by the people.

Expressing deep satisfaction over the affection shown by the people of the combined Chittoor district, Lokesh profusely thanked the police and the local TDP leaders for their cooperation extended to him.

The former minister is of the opinion that local MLA, Peddireddy Dwarakanatha Reddy, has deliberately prevented Madanapalle from upgrading as a district only to exhibit his supremacy, Lokesh promised to upgrade Madanapalle into district soon after the TDP is back into power.

Expressing concern that the local youth and the construction workers are migrating to Tamil Nadu Karnataka and other States in search of employment as there are no opportunities in the district, Lokesh promised to set up units in Chittoor district when the TDP is into power again to provide job opportunities to the youth.

“I had doubts as to why Jagan is deputing so many police personnel when I am undertaking pada yatra. But after my completion of the programme in the combined Chittoor district I got it because the Chief Minister does not want the people’s voice to come into the open. Let me make it very clear that I will not stop my pada yatra despite heavy police forces being deployed,” Lokesh said.

Youth is the worst-hit during YSRCP rule, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday felt that it is the youth who suffered a lot after the YSRCP came to power.

During his ongoing pada yatra, Yuva Galam, Lokesh had a face-to-face interaction with the youth at the Vijaya Ganapathy Function Hall at Maddaiah Garipalli of Thamballapalle Assembly segment. “During the regime of Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh was known to be the capital of jobs in India but now it is known as ganja capital of India,” Lokesh remarked.

Expressing concern that the local MLA, who won with 60,000 majority of votes, could not complete the degree college sanctioned by the earlier government, Lokesh promised the youth to complete the degree college within one year of the TDP coming back to power.

“What happened to the promise made by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, to fill the 2.30 lakh job vacancies,” he asked and said that not even a single teacher vacancy has been filled in the past four years.

Assuring the youth that the job calendar will be announced every year once the TDP is back into power, Lokesh asked the youth to strive to bring the TDP back into government again. Jagan, who chased away the existing companies to other States and was taking rest at his Tadepalli palace for all the four years, suddenly got up to hold the global investors summit only to cheat the businessmen and the people of the State, particularly the youth, the TDP national general secretary observed.

Jagan means jail and Chandrababu means a brand, he remarked and asked which investor will come forward to set up units in Andhra Pradesh as long as this financial extremist, who went to the jail, is in the chair.

Recalling that some IAS officers too were imprisoned along with Jagan, he felt that this time some IPS officers will have to go to jail along with him. Lokesh promised to encourage the youth in politics and will also offer positions in the government once the TDP is back in power.

Lokesh says that every farmer has Rs 2.5 lakh average debt burden

0

In the past four years, the average debt burden on the farmers has gone up to Rs 2.5 lakh and Andhra Pradesh has created a history in the country with the highest average debt burden on the farmers, observed TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh here on Wednesday.

Lokesh had an interaction with tomato farmers at Buchireddypalli Cross in Thamballapalle Assembly segment. The TDP leader said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is simply cheating the farmers in the name of Rythu Bharosa scheme. Stating that the world’s largest tomato market is in Madanapalle, Lokesh felt that it is the primary responsibility of the ruling party to come to the rescue of the tomato farmers.

“Minister for Agriculture, Kakani Goverdhan Reddy, is a thief who indulged in burglary in the court. The Minister is now taking shelter in his house with a fear of arrest anytime,” Lokesh remarked and told the farmers not to depend on the Minister any longer.

He also cautioned the farmers not to accept the proposal to fix metres to pumpsets as it will ultimately end in looting them. “If you accept the proposal, you will end up neck-deep of debts,” he stated.

Maintaining that TDP president Chandrababu comes from a farmers family, Lokesh said that Chandrababu knows the problems of the farming community and thus he shows partiality towards them. Lokesh promised to completely eliminate the middlemen system in marketing the farm products when the TDP forms the government again.

Observing that the people of the State are remembering Chandrababu only when they are in trouble, the TDP national general secretary said that the State is pushed into trouble as the people are forgetting him once they are out of problems. Jagan’s rule is filled with holidays, be it crop holiday or power holiday or any other holiday, he remarked.

Lokesh promised to bring down the prices of essentials and fuel once the TDP is back into power and said that no insurance for farmers and zero interest loans. The only solution for resolving the problems of farmers is Chandrababu Naidu should be back as the chief minister, Lokesh told the tomato farmers. The farmers narrated to him the issues that they have been facing for the past four years, including increased power charges and fuel charges.

Jagan doing social injustice to the BCs, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, before coming to power has promised to work for social justice to the BCs if he is given a chance to come to power, is totally doing the negative, doing injustice to the community after assuming charge, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

Lokesh had an interaction with the representatives of the BCs at the New Malhari Nursery at Maddayyappagaripalle in Thamballapalle Assembly segment on resuming his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, after a gap of two days. Lokesh suspended his pada yatra for two days due to the poll code as elections for the Legislative Council were on. On Tuesday he resumed Yuva Galam as the poll process was over.

Lokesh felt that Jagan has the habit of taking every section of people by surprise by promising something which the people will believe and later forget what he assured them. What he told the people during his pada yatra as the leader of the Opposition seeking one chance to become the Chief Minister but after coming to power he totally forgot the promises that he had made to them, Lokesh maintained.

The BCs are appointed only to the positions which do not have any power nor any funds while those positions where there are sufficient funds available and where they can exercise power are given to the leaders of his own community, he remarked.

It is the TDP that has set up a federation and allotted quarries to the Vaddera community but now the YSRCP leaders are grabbing these quarries from the community, Lokesh pointed out. He promised the Vaddera community that once the TDP forms the government again all these quarries will be reallotted to them and the welfare schemes that are now suspended will also be revived. Also, funds in the budget will be allocated as per the ratio of the communities and justice will be done for the Kuruba community too, he added.

Earlier, the representatives of the Kuruba, Vaddera, Fisheries and other communities complained to Mr Lokesh that no welfare programme was being implemented for them. The BC students have to discontinue their studies as the scholarships that are extended earlier are now discontinued, they told Lokesh.

Lokesh promises to drop tax burden on common man

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is imposing heavy burden on the people in the shape of various kinds of taxes and once the TDP comes to power again, all this burden will be reduced.

Lokesh was given a rousing reception by the locals at Angallu and the people gathered in large numbers to have a glimpse of the TDP national general secretary. Later, the youth, women and the old met him personally and told him that they are unable to lead a common life since the prices of essentials are skyrocketing. As the power connection bill is high, the pension that they have been getting has been withdrawn, some old persons informed Lokesh.

“Tell me if a single section is not affected by this selfish Government. Since the prices of petrol and diesel are heavy in the State, the prices of essential commodities too are beyond the reach of the common man,” Lokesh observed.

Once the TDP is back in power, the prices of all the essentials will be brought down and the tax burden too will be reduced, he added. Lokesh also promised to revive the pensions to all those who are now not getting due to various reasons.

As the crowd gathered heavily to meet Lokesh at the Nandireddyvaripalli campsite of Thamballapalle Assembly segment, the jealous ruling party leaders tried to create obstructions asking him to vacate it immediately. The local Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) visited the campsite at 4 am early on Saturday and left the place after the landowner showed the records.

Despite giving all the necessary permissions for Lokesh visit in the district for three days, March 11, 12 and 13, pressure is being mounted on the officials by the local MLA and his followers to create hurdles to the TDP leader. Later, the Revenue Department officials asked Lokesh and other TDP leaders to leave the district in view of the election code for the ongoing Legislative Council polls.

The TDP announced that the pada yatra will be suspended for two days, on March 12 and 13, in view of the poll code.

TDP will end political interference in education institutions, says Lokesh

0

Political interference in educational institutions is damaging the academic sector in the State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokes, felt on Friday and promised that once the party is back into government this will be completely checked.

Totally agreeing with the representatives of the students and the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of youth activists at Madanapalle, Lokesh said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is taking over the aided educational institutions only with an eye on the assets owned by these institutions worth hundreds of crores.

The students and the JAC representatives submitted a memorandum to Mr Lokesh at Madanapalle during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra on the problems the local educational institutions are facing.

The BT College, which produced several top dignitaries, including some chief ministers and some judges, was taken over by the State Government last year. Of the existing courses earlier, only a few are being continued, they submitted in the memorandum to Lokesh.

Though it is more than seven months since the State Government has taken over the college, till now the vacancies for the teaching and the non-teaching staff have not been filled while only an incharge principal is managing the whole institution, they mentioned in the memorandum.

The JAC leaders wanted the BT College to be upgraded as a university and the assets of the institution be protected.

“The State Government is forcibly taking over the educational institutions being managed by Christian and Minority trusts and even academic institutions are not being spared by Jagan,” he said.

Lakhs of poor students who have been studying in these institutions are deprived of their right to pursue their studies, Lokesh said and promised the JAC leaders that once the TDP forms the government again political interference in educational institutions will be checked completely and quality education will be extended to the students.

Earlier, several prominent local leaders met Lokesh at Madanapalle and complained to him that the youth are migrating to the neighbouring States as there are no employment opportunities here since there are no industries locally. They also said that the condition of the roads in the town is very bad. The tomato farmers are not getting the MSP, they said.

Lokesh promises judicial powers to Wakf Board

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday assured the representatives of the Muslim community that once the party is into power again the Wakf Board will be accorded judicial powers to save the properties and also strengthened it.

Participating in the face-to-face programme with the representatives of the Muslim community at Indiramma Nagar of Kalikiri in Peleru Assembly segment as part of his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, Lokesh said that the Wakf Board properties are being grabbed by the YSRCP leaders and once the TDP is back into power judicial powers will be accorded to the board besides strengthening it so that the assets will be safe.

Observing that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has cheated the Muslim community by not fulfilling his promise of setting up Islamic bank, he said that the process of reservations for the community will be strengthened which will help them progress well.

Lokesh also promised to revive the welfare programmes like Dulhan and financial assistance for their further studies abroad. “Even when the TDP had an alliance with the BJP, we have never taken any measures that will adversely impact the Muslims,” Lokesh pointed out.

Maintaining that it is TDP that has established Urdu University and paid honorarium for Imams besides building Haj Houses in various parts of the State, he added. “Though Deputy Chief Minister, Amjad Basha, belongs to the Muslim community justice is not done for the minorities,” Lokesh remarked.

Promising setting up of industrial clusters in all the Assembly segments once the TDP is back into power, Lokesh said that lands also will be alloted to them to encourage them as industrialists. A separate market will be established at Peler to provide self-employment for Muslims, he said, adding that Gulf-affected too will be extended necessary assistance.

At Kalikiri, party leader from Vijayawada, Vangaviti Radha, joined Lokesh in the pada yatra and extended his solidarity with him. Later, at Vandlapalli village of Vayalpadu mandal of Annamayya district, Lokesh had an interaction with farmers.

Lokesh invites Radha for talks

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday sent an invitation to former MLA Vangaveeti Radha Krishna to meet him on Tuesday. The two leaders are set to meet at the Yuvagalam camp in Pileru Assembly constituency.

The meeting assumes political significance as the media had reported about the plans of Radha Krishna to quit the TDP. A section of the media reported that Radha Krishna was planning to join the Jana Sena and contest the 2024 general election.

Though Radha Krishna had denied the reports and reassured that he would continue to stay with the TDP, his supporters are giving leaks to the social media that the leader is actively considering the idea of joining the Jana Sena. They also say that Radha Krishna had an invitation from Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.

Radha Krishna had joined the TDP before the 2019 general election. He criticised the YSR Congress leadership, particularly Jagan Mohan Reddy for restricting his movements in the party and thus justified his joining the TDP.

He did not contest the 2019 general election, but had campaigned for the party. However, this time, it is widely said that Radha Krishna is planning to contest from the Vijayawada central constituency. He was elected from this constituency in 2004 on Congress ticket and subsequently lost the elections on Praja Rajyam and YSR Congress tickets.

It is now to be seen what would be the outcome of the meeting between Radha Krishna and Lokesh at Pileru. Will Radha Krishna continue in the TDP and will he contest the elections or will he leave the party as speculated are the big questions to be answered after the meeting!

Summit was only to loot public money, lands, says Lokesh

0

The global investors summit organised last week in the port city of Visakhapatnam by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is only aimed at looting the public money and valuable lands in various parts of the State, observed the TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Addressing media persons at Vepulabayalu village of Peleru mandal of Annamayya district during his ongoing pada yatra, Yuva Galam, Lokesh termed the Visakhapatnam summit as the local fake summit. Observing that the maximum utilisation of power in the State is 11,448 mega watts (MWs) but the State Government is projecting it as two lakh MWs, Mr Lokesh pointed out.

Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Davos by a charter flight spending Rs 12 cr but entered into agreements with only Arabindo, Green Co and Adani companies and again signed the memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the same companies at the Vizag summit, not once but three times, Mr Lokesh remarked.

“Agreements can be signed with these three companies sitting in a hotel over just a cup of coffee. In fact, to sign an MoU with Arabindo there is no need to spend money even for the coffee,” the TDP general secretary stated.

Maintaining that Indosol is a company owned by a binami of Jagan, he told media persons that in the name of this company 25 acres of land was illegally occupied.

The TDP general secretary stated that investors are running away from the State on learning about the history of Jagan. Former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, himself is a brand name for investments, Lokesh said, adding that during 2014-19 he tried for setting up several industries in almost all the districts in the State.

AP had 19,500 cr more FDI than Telangana during Chandrababu Naidu regime and the rate of unemployment has come down by 3.5 per cent, Lokesh pointed out. However, this Government was in deep sleep till 2023 and now got up with the fake local summit to take the innocent public for a ride, he remarked.

“If agreements have been entered into with 378 companies why only the names of the 70 companies are revealed. What happened to the other companies,” he asked and pointed out that during Chandrababu’s regime all the details were uploaded online.

Lokesh expressed his readiness on the charges that he has made against the Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Narayana Swamy, on land grabbing. The TDP national general secretary said that his party’s stand is clear on the capital Amaravathi while Jagan is taking South Africa as an example. “Will any wise leader take South Africa as an example,” he asked.
