TDP government had rejected Pegasus offer to sell spyware: Lokesh

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday revealed that the his party’s previous government in Andhra Pradesh had rejected the offer of Pegasus to sell its spyware to the state.

Lokesh, who was Information Technology Minister in the TDP cabinet headed by his father N. Chandrababu Naidu, clarified that the TDP government did not purchase any spyware.

“Yes, Pegasus offered to sell its spyware to the AP government as well but we rejected it,” he told reporters.

Lokesh denied that the TDP government purchased or used any spyware. “We never indulged in any illegal phone tapping. If the government purchased the spyware, there would be a record of it.”

He was reacting to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s purported claim that the Chandrababu Naidu government purchased the Pegasus Spyware. “She was misinformed. If we had resorted to such things, Jagan Mohan Reddy would not have come to power in 2019,” he said.

“I don’t know whether she has indeed said that, and where and in which context. If she did say that, she is certainly misinformed,” said Lokesh adding that Chandrababu Naidu would never indulge in such illegal acts.

“If there had been any such thing, would the (current) Jagan regime spare us? In the last three years, they have tried every trick to fix us in one thing or the other but failed, because we did nothing wrong,” said Lokesh, who is a member of the Legislative Council.

Lokesh further said that immediately after coming to power, Jagan Reddy had got all files in the IT and all other departments inspected thoroughly. He would have taken action if any illegal act was found, he added.

Lokesh has a strategy for Guntur

1

Nara Lokesh is said to be planning to execute an innovative idea in the TDP’s Guntur unit. He has reportedly realised that several senior leaders have lost their will to fight further battles against the ruling party in AP. Internal reports have revealed that several such big names have entered into tacit understanding with the ruling YSRCP in the local body and municipal elections.

These leaders have not even tried to defend Chandrababu Naidu when he was under attack. In Guntur, leaders like Prathipati Pulla Rao, Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Yarapatineni Srinivas Rao and others ruled the roost when the TDP was in power. Now these leaders are not to be seen anywhere. Except perhaps Dhulipalla Narendra, all other leaders are playing safe.

So, Lokesh reportedly decided not to give tickets to any of these leaders. However, to ensure that they do not turn against the party, their wards or heirs would be given the party tickets. This way they would be forced to work for their wards in the elections. At the same time, they would be kept off the picture so that the anger of the lower level cadre against them is minimised.

With these young heirs and wards of the senior leaders, he would be in a position to form a team of young leaders. These young leaders will not be carrying the old baggage of their parents. They will be able to work afresh, feels Lokesh. This strategy will help in rebuilding a new TDP, feels the party sources.

An NTR statue in every AP village: Lokesh Babu’s grand plan

0

With 2024 just three years away, the Opposition TDP is trying to re-invent itself. The party is now trying to turn the tide of defeat into a huge success by taking up a massive outreach very soon. This outreach is all set to last for over a year so that all parts of the state are covered. If TDP insiders are to be believed, this yatra would be spearheaded by Nara Lokesh and he would in all probability invoke the name of his grandfather NTR.

Sources say that the main slogan of the yatra would be “Jai NTR – Jai Telugu Desam.” NTR’s charisma, leadership and pro-people attitude would be invoked throughout the yatra. According to TDP insiders, Lokesh will take a leaf from YSRCP’s YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and install NTR statues in every village. Like YS Jagan, Lokesh will inaugurate these statues en route his yatra. This would help in establishing Lokesh as the heir of NTR. A plan of action has reportedly been readied up for the unveiling of NTR statues in every village of the 13 districts in the state.

Along with this, Lokesh will be assisted by a team of advance party, who will identify the major problems of every village. Lokesh will speak about these problems when he visits the village. Thus, this will help Lokesh establish a powerful connect with the locals. In addition, the party network will help him about the local histories, traditions and other issues that could be mentioned during the yatra.

The TDP thinking heads feel that Lokesh will have one great advantage over his father Chandrababu Naidu. There would be no mention of the soured relations between NTR and Chandrababu and the memories of the August 1994 coup. Lokesh can start afresh and can capitalise on the grandfather-grandson connect. The nitty gritty of the yatra are reportedly being worked out.

Come to help of private school teachers immediately: TDP to CM

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday appealed to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to immediately come to the rescue of private school teachers.

“I bring to your urgent attention an issue that remains under-reported and unrecognized by the government. The first and second waves of the coronavirus pandemic have left thousands of private teachers in financial and mental turmoil,” said Lokesh.

Considering this predicament, especially in the light of a private school owning couple committing suicide recently in Kurnool district, he demanded that the state government provide immediate assistance.

The TDP’s second in command advised the Chief Minister to learn from Telangana and Karnataka which doled out financial assistance and provisions to the beleaguered private teachers.

“Similarly, there must be immediate financial and in-kind transfers to their families in the short-term in AP, on the lines of what other governments have done,” he noted.

According to Lokesh, there are 12,000 private schools in Andhra, providing employment to nearly 1.25 lakh teachers who are receiving only 60 per cent to 70 per cent of their salaries, including lack of clarity on retrenched teachers.

“Thousands of teachers in private schools have been receiving salaries irregularly since the lockdowns began in March 2020. Over the last five months, nearly 5 lakh members of the teaching and non-teaching staff working in schools, colleges and universities have borne the brunt of the economic recession resulting from the Covid pandemic,” he observed.

He reminded that several Telugu and English dailies reported how private school teachers were forced to sell vegetables, do manual labour, work as construction labourers and take up other odd jobs to make ends meet.

“There is an instance of a Telugu lecturer with a PhD in Kadapa who was forced to do agricultural labour to support his family. Another Telugu teacher from Nellore was forced to sell bananas to sustain himself and his family amid the Covid pandemic,” Lokesh lamented.

Highlighting that these are only a fraction of several such tragic stories, Lokesh said caring for them and ensuring their dignity and livelihood will ensure that these teachers’ services to our current and future generations will continue.

Has YSRCP erred in arresting Lokesh Babu?

2

Has the YS Jagan Government erred by arresting Lokesh? Will this boomerang on the YSRCP government? It’s not just the arrest and the way of the arrest, but also the way the police shifted Lokesh from police station to police station in the name of giving station bail that would create a wave of sympathy for him, according to sources.

YS Jagan was arrested when he called on the kin of Ramya, who was brutally done to death by her stalker in Guntur on Monday. The police behaved very rudely with the TDP leaders, including Lokesh. Former Minsiters like Dhulipalla Narendra were dragged into the police vehicles and were taken to the police station. There is a lot of criticism of the way political activists and former ministers were treated.

Meanwhile, Lokesh was taken to Prattipadu police station. From there, he was taken to Guntur police station in the name of giving station bail. Protesting against this and against the arrest of his party leaders, Lokesh did not partake of his meal on Monday afternoon. At the same time, there were protests across the state against the arrest of Lokesh. This spontaneous protests across the state is an indication that the YSRCP has handed a potent weapon to the TDP.

Even YSRCP insiders feel that there was no need to arrest Lokesh. Earlier too, he had called on such victims and the government did not react. As a result, there were not given adequate coverage. But, this time, by arresting Lokesh, the government itself has allowed this visit to become a newsworthy thing. The media covered the arrest and the subsequent events widely and the newspapers too are going to flash it prominently. Thus, the YSRCP inadvertently given an opportunity to the TDP.

Lokesh, TDP leaders arrested

0

TDP MLC, former minister and son of TDP Chief N.Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh was arrested on Monday (today) when he went to Guntur to console the family members of Ramya, a B.Tech student, who was brutally murdered on the road in broad daylight by a jilted lover on Sunday.

The AP government imposed heavy police restrictions at the residence of Ramya and not allowed anyone to visit their house.

Lokesh was arrested and shifted to Tadipatri police station when he attempted to visit Ramya’s house

Senior TDP leaders and former ministers Dhoolipalla Narendra, Nakka Anand Babu, Alapati Raja were also arrested.

This led to clash between police and TDP activists.

The police dragged former ministers and pushed them into the vehicles and shifted them to police stations.

TDP activists alleged that while police allowed YSRCP leaders to visit Ramya’s house, they prevented TDP leaders.

Nara Lokesh was arrested for first time in his political career.

Nara Lokesh had a heated argument with police when they arrested him and while shifting him to police station.

This incident created severe tension in Guntur on Monday.

Take stringent action against police for Majji’s suicide: TDP

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday demanded stringent action against police officials who were allegedly involved in harassment that led to the suicide of two young persons recently.

“Stringent action must be taken against police officials responsible for the suicide of two youngsters. Government should immediately provide aid to their families,” said Lokesh.

Majji, a resident of Rajamahendravaram rural released a video message before committing suicide, in which he recounted the ordeal he has been put through by a police constable from Chillakallu.

Majji said he brought two bottles of liquor from Telangana into Andhra Pradesh to treat his friends a year ago but was apprehended by the police at Chillakallu near Jaggayapeta in Krishna district.

Though he brought only two bottles of liquor, he alleged police wrongly booked the case as five bottles and a constable by the name Shiva called him to demand Rs 1 lakh or face a fake marijuana case.

Continuing in the video, the helpless youth said he did not know what to do and apologized if he had ever hurt them and went on to take the extreme step.

Besides this, Lokesh cited the case of Alisha’s suicide from Bhattupalem in Guntur district due to alleged excise officials’ harassment and claimed that young people are sacrificed for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s greed for money.

“Majji’s suicide is a sad development. Just for two bottles they (police) harassed him to death, then what punishment should be given to Reddy for Rs 25,000 crore illegal liquor business,” alleged the TDP’s second in command.

Restore all subsidies, benefits to weavers: TDP

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday demanded the Andhra Pradesh government to restore all subsidies, benefits and disaster relief assistance to the weavers of the state in the interest of their overall development.

Extending greetings to the weaver community, Lokesh made these remarks on occasion of National Handloom Day.

“It’s unfortunate that the YSRCP government had stopped all the benefits that were being given to the weavers’ families. More than Rs 50,000 worth incentives and concessions were denied to each weaver per year,” he alleged.

The TDP leader also claimed that the state government led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is only doling out Rs 24,000 to the weavers, and even that fails to reach most of the weavers.

“The purchase of weaver’s products by APCO has also been stopped under this negligent government. The weavers are out of work while the income of the labourers has also shrinked,” Lokesh alleged.

He also said that the state government did not come to the rescue of the weavers at the time of crisis.

The TDP leader said that he made several requests for providing Rs 1.5 lakh subsidy loans to the weavers for setting up their own looms, but the state government turned a deaf ear.

“The Chief Minister had ignored the demand for providing Rs 10,000 cash assistance per month to each weaver’s family during the Coronavirus pandemic,” he alleged.

Lokesh said the ruling YSRCP will pay a heavy price if it continues to betray the people with empty promises.

He also demanded that benefits under ‘Neta Nestham’ should be given to all the weavers’ families immediately, including reviving all the welfare programmes and incentives, which were in place in the state during the previous TDP government.

Lakhs of cusecs of water going waste into sea at Pulichintala: TDP

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday lashed out at Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for the breaking of a floodgate at Pulichintala Project and said that lakhs of cusecs of water is going waste into the sea.

“Lakhs of cusecs of water is going waste into the sea,” said Lokesh and alleged that the corruption during Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s time is getting exposed now in his son Jagan Mohan Reddy’s time.

He alleged that massive corruption occurred in the name of Jalayagnam which was undertaken during the former CM’s tenure.

Earlier, he targeted Jagan Mohan Reddy over the job calendar.

The TDP general secretary said the Chief Minister creates illusions about things which will not work out and called the job calendar as one such.

He demanded that the CM cancel the job calendar which he issued recently and release a new one with 2.3 lakh jobs and extended his support to a bunch of jobless youth fasting at Vijayawada dharna chowk.

Lokesh called on all the jobless youth to register on the website created for this purpose, and fight till they get jobs by taking on the CM.

Jagan can never silence our voices: Nara Lokesh

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday stated that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy can never silence their voices.

“Jagan Reddy can never silence our voices. We will continue to fight on behalf of people,” said Lokesh.

He made these remarks in the light of the arrest of senior TDP leader and former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao.

Rao has been arrested for allegedly perpetrating an attack on ruling YSRCP leaders.

However, the TDP’s second in command countered that Rao was fighting illegal mining in the Kondapalli forest region.

“The fascist government has filed a false SC/ST case on Rao. His only fault was to fight against the rampant illegal mining in the Kondapalli forest region,” claimed Lokesh.

He termed the police case on Rao as a ‘reverse case’, interpreting it as allegedly a case on the person who was attacked rather than on the attackers.

“Filing a case on a victim is reverse. In the reign of a reverse chief minister, everything is reverse,” he claimed.

Lokesh alleged that YSRCP MLA Vasanta Krishna Mohan has openly threatened Rao.

“If a YSRCP MLA can openly threaten Rao and harm him right in front of police, imagine what these goondas would do to common citizens,” he alleged.

According to the TDP national general secretary, the day isn’t far when people would teach a lesson to the ‘fascist’ YSRCP leaders a lesson.

AP govt acting vengefully against Devineni Uma: TDP

1

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government is allegedly acting in a vengeful way against former minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao because he is exposing corruption.

“Just because Uma is exposing corruption, the ruling party is vengeful against him. What happened to the police when some rowdies attacked the former minister?” alleged Lokesh.

He questioned whom the law is favouring and demanded to know if people will be killed if they question?

“Is this democracy?…The DGP has to answer,” he said.

According to the TDP’s second in command, Rao was targeted because he questioned the alleged illegal mining in Kondapalli forest worth thousands of crores of rupees by YSRCP leader Vasanta Krishna Mohan.

Lokesh alleged that Rao is being targeted at the behest of government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

The TDP general secretary claimed that police did not arrest the people who allegedly attacked Rao under IPC sections.

If this was the case with a former minister, he wondered what would happen to common people and warned the police that they meet the fate of their boss living in Tadepalli.

Lokesh said it will take only a little time but the culprits will stand before the law soon.

Police arrested Rao and shifted him to Nandiwada for allegedly perpetrating an attack on ruling party leaders.

Is Lokesh Babu planning to contest from North Andhra?

2

There is an intense buzz in the political circles about TDP all India General Secretary Nara Lokesh will fight a bye-election from North Andhra. Many feel that this will be Chandrababu’s master plan to re-launch his son. As part of this, Lokesh would contest and win from a legislative assembly seat. This will wipe off the ignominy of losing from Mangalagiri constituency in 2019.

One of the major causes for criticism against Lokesh is that he has become a minister through backdoor by becoming an MLC. His only attempt in the assembly elections ended up as a major embarrassment what with local lad Alla Ramakrishna Reddy defeating him fair and square in Mangalagiri. Since then, one of the main criticisms against Lokesh is that he could not muster popular support.

Lokesh has since improved his diction, manner of speech and his public address capabilities He has also shown himself to be a dynamic leader by rushing to problem spots and standing by the victims. Of late, he has also established himself as a good communicator by interacting with the youth on issues like unemployment and examination postponement His power-packed punches during the zoom meetings too have endeared himself to the youth in a significant manner.

But, the main test for Lokesh is to demonstrate his ability to win the direct elections. That will establish his leadership. Hence, he is said to be considering fighting the elections from a safe seat North Andhra, especially in the Vizag district. This success will establish his credentials a popular leader, according to party insiders. His MLC term will expire only in March 2023. Lokesh wants to ender the assembly even before that. This will establish him as a popular leader, party sources said.

Modi reviewed exams but not Jagan: Lokesh

1

The conduct of examinations for the 10th and intermediate students has posed a big challenge for the AP Government. CM Jagan Reddy and his Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh were very adamant from the beginning to hold the exams but the situations were turning adverse in the past two years.

Now, even the Prime Minister has held a review meeting and cancelled the 12th class exams. Mr. Modi took into account the suggestions of the experts on the rising Coronavirus infections. This has brought more pressure from all sections of the AP regime to change its attitude.

TDP MLC Nara Lokesh has sarcastically said that PM Modi found time to review the examinations but not AP Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy.

Mr. Lokesh held an online meeting with the parents and students to collect their opinions. He has been holding these online meetings to pressurise the Government. In the past, they have even challenged the 10th class exams in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh which forced the Jagan regime to postpone the exams.

After the PM’s decision, Mr. Lokesh has renewed his demand for cancellation of all the 10th and inter exams in AP with greater force.

Mask-less Jagan in Assembly: Lokesh cries foul

1

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy did not wear a face mask while taking part in the AP Assembly session today. Some of his MLAs and Ministers also appeared without a mask in the House. This became a controversy at a time when the Central Government was advising everyone to wear masks even while staying at home.

Quickly seizing the opportunity, TDP MLC Nara Lokesh posted a photo of the mask-less Jagan in the Assembly on social media and strongly criticised the CM for acting in a very negligent and indifferent manner in the House itself. Crores of rupees worth ads were given with the CM photo and name asking the public to wear face masks compulsorily. But now, Mr. Jagan himself did not wear the mask showing utter disregard to his own publicity slogans.

Lokesh said the Chief Minister created a complacent attitude by saying ‘it is a small fever and it comes and goes’ and ‘we have to coexist with it’. The CM has also made ‘paracetamol’ and ‘bleaching powder’ comments taking a very lighter view of the deadly epidemic. Now, the situation in AP turned deadlier. The entire State turned into a ‘burial ground’. Strangely, Mr. Jagan Reddy was still casual and only flashing smiles on his face instead of creating awareness on Covid.

Mr. Lokesh said time has come for Mr. Jagan Reddy to decide whether he would continue to be an adamant person or whether he would change and become a sensible person by wearing a face mask.

Lokesh tells SP to leave khaki, wear blue uniform

0

The TDP leaders are furious over the ‘illegal detention’ of pro-TDP social media activists Mahesh and Kalyan by the Arundelpet police in the Guntur district. They are mostly targetting Guntur Urban SP Ammi Reddy. Chandrababu Naidu even wrote a letter and urged the DGP to release the two illegally arrested activists unconditionally and also initiate stringent action against the erring police officers.

But, TDP MLC Nara Lokesh went a step ahead and made a scathing attack on the Guntur Urban SP. Lokesh asked why the SP was silent on the cases not being booked based on the complaints given by the TDP leaders against Minister Seediri Appala Raju. In return, the Guntur police filed reverse cases against the complainants. Ammi Reddy also had no answers when he was asked why cases were not being booked against the YSRCP social media activists when they were posting nasty videos against the TDP.

Mr. Lokesh, in his first such aggressive criticism against the police, advised Mr. Ammi Reddy to give up the khaki uniform and wear the YSRCP blue dress if he would like to serve only his caste. Sitting in the SP office in Guntur, it would not be correct for the SP to take unlawful orders from the Tadepalli residence.

Why I call Jagan ‘murkhapu Reddy’? Lokesh explains

1

TDP MLC Nara Lokesh strongly objected to CM Jaganmohan Reddy not positively responding to his 48-hour deadline for cancelling the 10th class examinations. The CM is looking after only his comfort and safety by hiding in his Tadepalli residence without coming out to look at the problems of the people. He is holding review meetings there, calling all officers there himself and maintaining a huge Covid preventive distance between them.

Lokesh said that the Chief Minister is not realising how it would not be possible to accommodate even 6 students in a single room to write the exams by maintaining 6 ft safe distance. The WHO guidelines clearly mentioned the need for a safe distance. The Tadepalli CM was not realising that the examination centres were going to be the super spreaders of the virus. Over 80 lakh students, parents, teachers, auto and bus drivers would be exposed to the dreaded virus because of the Government’s adamant decision.

Mr. Lokesh further explained why he has been calling this Chief Minister a ‘murkhapu Reddy’ (adamant Reddy). All other States have either cancelled or postponed the examinations but the AP CM was different. Now, he was more adamant than ever on conducting the exams just because ‘Nara Lokesh’ has started the movement for the safety of the students. What this CM wants is only his personal prestige and political vendetta but not the safety and security of the children. The TDP would not keep silent and it would hold another ‘digital town hall’ to decide whether to start a legal battle against the Jagan regime or not.

Pawan, Lokesh urge Jagan to cancel 10th exams

2

All over the country, the State Governments and the Central boards have cancelled the 10th class examinations. Even the CBSE and the ICSE have cancelled this. The KCR Government in Telangana has also taken a similar decision already. But, the Jaganmohan Reddy Government in Andhra Pradesh has followed a different path. It has cancelled classes and exams for classes up to 9th only.

The 10th class students would have to attend the schools as before. They would also have to take exams physically to get final certificates. This is what has angered Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan and TDP former Minister Nara Lokesh. They both straightaway demanded CM Jagan to cancel 10th classes immediately without further causing any problems for the students and their parents.

The AP Government is under the opinion that there would be no major virus threat if classes are run only for the 10th class students. This would be possible because the classes would be held following social distancing norms. There would be only 10th class students in every school. But the TDP and the Jana Sena are arguing where is the need for taking risk when the Coronavirus is spreading chaos everywhere.

The second wave is proving to be a far worse threat than even the first wave infections. Already, large scale infections are being reported in schools, offices, work places and parties. Amid this, the Corona preventive measures being taken by the Jagan Reddy regime are facing political criticism from opponents.

Naidu-Lokesh betrayers of Vizag, says Vijay Sai

2

TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh are making greater efforts to retain their party hold on Visakhapatnam in the municipal elections. Whereas, Jaganmohan Reddy and his party leaders are very serious about capturing the port city to establish their firm hold there. As expected, the ruling YCP leaders are making their attacks on the TDP solely focused on the issue of making Vizag the Executive Capital of the State.

YCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy took up the lead in launching the attack on Naidu and Lokesh. He asked how Chandrababu and Lokesh could ask for votes in Vizag when they were opposing the Capital status for the port city.

Vijay Sai has gone a step ahead and called Chandrababu’s as an all ‘beverse’ and cheaters and dacoits party. There were many land grabs during the Chandrababu regime. Naidu and his son Lokesh were indeed the betrayers of Vizag and North Andhra region.

Vijay Sai Reddy told the Vizag people that the port city would definitely become the Executive Capital and nobody would be able to stop this.

Lokesh decries Jagan GO denying benefits to PG students

0

The Jaganmohan Reddy Government’s GO on cancellation of fee reimbursement for the PG students studying in private colleges triggered a fresh controversy in AP. The Opposition parties have quickly seized the opportunity to attack the ruling party. TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh launched a scathing attack and demanded withdrawal of the GO keeping in view the bright future of the students and for their future careers. The YCP regime should give fee reimbursement and restore all the benefits that were being given to the students.

Mr Lokesh asserted that it was not correct on the part of the Chief Minister to play risky games with the lives and careers of the youth. The Telugu Desam Party would categorically condemn such anti-student policies of the Government. As a responsible Opposition party, the TDP would continue to fight on behalf of the students. He asked whether the children of the weaker sections and the backward classes were not eligible for taking up studies abroad. The foreign education programme was being deliberately crushed since the YCP came to power. The students, who were studying abroad, were facing problems with the Jagan Reddy regime’s policies. The CM should not think that only his children must have good foreign education but not those of the weaker sections.

Mr. Lokesh deplored that the CM made loud statements and promises for the poorer sections, women and youth before elections, but after coming to power he was giving an empty hand. Jagan Reddy had no credibility which the people of AP had realised in just 18 months of this misrule. The weakening of the NTR foreign education programme had dealt a severe blow to the students of the weaker sections.

Has TDP become a sinking boat due to Lokesh incapabilities?

0

Ministers are attacking and commenting badly on the personality of Ex Minister Nara Lokesh at every given opportunity. They are saying that it is because of lack of confidence in Lokesh capabilities that MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Telugu Yuvatha President Devineni Avinash have shifted their loyalty. YCP is trying hard to convince that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has no role in the party change of TDP leaders.

The TDP is being forced to go on the defensive when rivals dismiss Lokesh as an inefficient and incapable leader. In a latest personal attack, Minister Kodali Nani repeatedly described Lokesh as a ‘Pappu’ (fatty person). He says that the 4 TDP MPs have also joined BJP because of their losing trust in Lokesh.

Nani referred to Vamsi remarks, saying that the TDP is going to sink like a broken boat under Lokesh who became the weakest point. Even Dharmadhikari Satyam, who brought out sunken boat from the Godavari river, will not be able to help the TDP. Nani says Lokesh is flattening TDP by walking over it like a road roller. It’s true that some leaders formed a coterie around Lokesh and hurt other leaders within TDP. If Chandrababu Naidu doesn’t solve this, the party will look more helpless before YCP personal attacks.
