Extra burden for God Father and The Ghost

It would be an acid test for the Tollywood veteran actors Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna during this Dasara season. Their films God Father and The Ghost are heading for a massive release across the globe on October 5th. The makers of God Father announced that the film would have a wide release in Hindi and Malayalam along with Telugu. With Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan playing an important role, the film will have a decent release in Hindi. God Father is the remake of a Malayalam film but the makers wanted to release the film in Malayalam.

The makers of The Ghost announced that the film would have a wide release in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages. Convinced with the final output, Nagarjuna decided to release the film in Hindi. He is personally holding talks with Bollywood filmmakers to release the movie in decent number of screens across North India. During the pre-release event, Nagarjuna also wished a mighty success for Chiranjeevi’s God Father. The Ghost is directed by Praveen Sattaru and Naga Chaitanya, Akhil attended the pre-release event as special guests in Anantapur.

Bigg boss season 6 is going on good as of now though not great. Just like last Saturday, today also Nagarjuna grilled the housemates. Details as follows.

Nagarjuna asked the housemates to tell their opinion about former captain Raj. Baladitya told he didn’t perform as per the expectations. Nagarjuna concurred that Raj was not up to the mark. He reprimanded Raj for sleeping despite being the captain. He grilled Baladitya for being complacent in the house. He advised Vasanthi to mingle well with other housemates. He corrected Keerthi for crying on petty things. He reminded Sudeepa that he is the least performer in the thieves group.

Nagarjuna appreciated Satya and Srihan for improving their game this week. It is known news that Satya was the Captaincy contender this week. Though he appreciated Srihan‘s game, he corrected the way he spoke about Inaya. At the same time, he corrected Inaya for calling Srihan “vaadu “. He also reprimanded Geethu for her loose tongue. He told Arijun and Raj not doing anything in the house. Nagarjuna grilled Neha too. Nagarjuna appreciated Chanti’s behaviour but he told Chanti’s game is not up to the mark.

Nagarjuna appreciated Adi for playing well to become captain. He also appreciated Faima . He told Surya played well. He told Arohi can do better job. He teased her by showing a photo in which she was close with Surya. He appreciated Geethu’s game but he suggested her to change way she talks.

Later, in a rather surprising move, host directly nominated 2 contestants – Arjun and Keerthi for next week’s elimination.

Complete Financials of Nagarjuna’s The Ghost

None of the recent Nagarjuna’s films have done decent in the recent years. The actor has high hopes on his next film The Ghost, an action thriller directed by Praveen Sattaru. The film is jointly produced by Northstar Entertainment and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. The film is made on a strict budget of Rs 20 crores including all the remunerations excluding the paycheque of Nagarjuna. The makers pocketed Rs 22 crores through the non-theatrical rights. Asian Films will release this project on their own on an advance basis across the globe.

Nagarjuna was promised Rs 6 crores remuneration for The Ghost. For this, he kept hold of the distribution rights of some of the areas in Andhra region. He will also share the profits if the film collects more than Rs 6 crores in these territories. The trailer of The Ghost generated enough buzz on the film. Sonal Chauhan is the leading lady. Nagarjuna is on a break and he is yet to announce his next film officially.

Star Tollywood couple Nagarjuna and Samantha parted ways last year and the news is still discussed on the media. Both Chaitanya and Samantha are busy with their respective projects and they have no time to look into each other’s lives. Nagarjuna responded about Chaitanya’s life after divorce and he reacted to the constant reports of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha. He said “Chaitu is happy and that is what I want to see. It is unfortunate that they parted ways. The news is now out of our lives. Hope it will soon be out of everyone’s life,” told Nagarjuna.

Naga Chaitanya will kick-start the shoot of Venkat Prabhu’s actioner this month. The actor is done with the web series Dootha and it streams on Amazon at the end of this year. Samantha will soon resume the shoot of Vijay Deverakonda’s Kushi and the film releases soon. Samantha has a heap of Bollywood projects lined up and she is in talks for a couple of web-based projects that will be announced soon.

Nagarjuna-Naga Chaitanya’s blockbuster ‘Bangarraju’ to be premiered from February 18

Hyderabad, 9th February 2022: ZEE5 has had the sole aim of dishing out the best entertainment, be it in the form of comedy, drama, or action. ZEE5 has been continuously engaging its patrons for years by choosing a variety of stories and myriad subjects. From web series, direct-to-digital releases, and new films, it has been offering them all. ‘Bangarraju’, the Sankranthi blockbuster, is the latest film set to be premiered on ZEE5 from February 18 onwards.

‘Bangarraju’, starring ‘King’ Akkineni Nagarjuna and Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya in the lead, comes with the tagline ‘Soggadu Malli Vacchadu’. Directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, the film has been produced jointly by Annapurna Studios and ZEE Studios. Produced by Nagarjuna, the fantasy-comedy was released in theatres for Sankranthi this year. It became a blockbuster at the box office by entertaining the audience on the silver screen. ZEE5 is happy to be streaming the movie for its patrons from February 18.

The Akkineni family-Annapurna Studios and ZEE5 have had a history of a healthy association with each other. Annapurna Studios has produced the ZEE5 Original ‘Loser 2’ recently. The OTT platform has also been streaming the post-theatrical releases ‘Hello’ (starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead) and ‘Rarandoi Veduka Chuddham’ (starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead). Both the films were produced by Annapurna Studios.

‘Loser 2’ has been winning the hearts of the viewers. From February 11, ‘Malli Modalaindi’, starring ANR’s grandson and actor Sumanth in the lead, will be streaming on ZEE5 as an exclusive release.

Akkineni Nagarjuna, who has been basking in the success of his latest Sankranthi movie ‘Bangarraju’, is all set to join the sets of his upcoming movie ‘The Ghost’ in Dubai.

A crucial schedule, which is supposed to begin in the first week of February, will see Nagarjuna shoot for a fascinating series of action-oriented scenes. As per sources, the makers have planned to bring together Nagarjuna and actress Sonal Chauhan for the schedule. With Sonal Chauhan performing a few stunts, action director Seelum Pradit a.k.a. Nung will be in charge of the fights for the Dubai schedule.

The buzz is that Nagarjuna is to sport a never-before look, as he will be seen in a salt-and-pepper look in ‘The Ghost’. Being helmed by ‘Garuda Vega’ director Praveen Sattaru, ‘The Ghost’ is anticipated to be a seat-edge-thriller, with top-notch action sequences.

‘The Ghost’ is produced by Narayan Das Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and Sharrath Marar jointly. The film has cinematography by Mukhesh G, while Ganesh K is also one of the stunt masters on board. Actors Gul Panag and Anikha Surendran are to appear in important roles alongside Nagarjuna.

On the other hand, Nagarjuna’s multi-starrer Bollywood movie ‘Brahmastra’ will release later this year.

Bangarraju has a decent first week worldwide, thanks to Coastal Andhra which has done well. Worldwide distributor share of the film by the end of its first week stands at 28.70 Cr. The film is a disaster in both Nizam & Overseas markets. The rest of India markets were affected by the weekend lockdown or Sunday lockdown but the film hasn’t done well wherever it was open. This is the highest first-week share for Nagarjuna and second-highest for Naga Chaitanya behind Love Story. There is no competition for the film in its second week and also has an advantage of republic day holiday.
