Top actress Nayanthara has been dating Tamil director Vignesh Shivan and the couple fell in love in 2015 when they worked for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The debates over their wedding were on from the past few years but the young couple remained tight-lipped and never disclosed anything about their wedding. During the promotions of her upcoming release Netrikann, Nayanthara showed off her engagement ring in an interview for a television show. When the host asked about her ring, Nayanthara confirmed that it was her engagement ring.

Vignesh Shivan frequently posts pictures of the duo from their holidays and celebrated events. There are talks that Nayanthara and Vignesh will tie the knot during the end of the year. Nayanthara’s next offering Netrikann is heading for a digital release on Disney Plus Hotstar on August 13th. Milind Rau directed this crime thriller and Nayanthara plays a blind girl in Netrikann that is co-produced by Vignesh Shivan.

Nayanthara is now the highest-paid South Indian actress and she has her dairy full for the rest of the year. The actress donated Rs 20 lakhs for the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) to help the daily wage workers of Tamil film industry. Several Tamil actors donated their part for FEFSI to bail out the film workers who are in financial stress because of the coronavirus outbreak. Nayanthara is the latest one to join the list. The actress is shooting for Netrikann, Mookuthi Amman and Annaatthe which will release this year.

Nayanthara doesn’t like to respond to social or political turn of events. She also doesn’t promote her films. She keeps herself busy with shootings. Despite being a public figure, she tends to be a private person.

But this time, she voluntarily wrote a letter to Telangana police appreciating their valiant act in serving the justice ‘hot’ in Disha’s case. She termed the encounter of perpetrators is an act of humanity. She also asked young boys to be real heroes. Heroes are those who make the planet safe for women, she said.

Nayanthara was recently seen in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’ and she will next be appearing in Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’.

Her movies are faring well in Tamil and Telugu languages.

Though she is quite choosy with her Telugu movies, she has her dairy full till the end of next year already. Nayanthara is celebrating her birthday today and she is holidaying currently in New York along with her boyfriend Vignesh Shivan. After completing the shoot of Rajinikanth’s Darbar, the actress joined the sets of Netrikann and Mookuthi Amman which are slated for release next year.
