Spy has a below par weekend with huge drop after the opening day. The film has collected 8.8 Cr share worldwide with gross at 19.4 Cr. Theatrical rights of the film are valued at 18 Cr and the film will find tough from Monday onwards. It is heading for a disaster or in the best case the film is a flop at the box-office as there is a free run till the end of next week.

The film has collected a distributor share of 4.5 Cr with gross at 10.2 Cr. Theatrical rights of the film in Telugu states are valued at 4 Cr with Andhra sold in 2 Cr ratio, Ceeded 50 lakhs & Nizam valued at 1.5 Cr. Nizam area will be over the borderline today and some areas in Andhra will cross it today. Ceeded area needs a decent run till end of next weekend which is quite possible and it’s likely that all parties will be in profits. Worldwide rights are valued at 5 Cr. The film is a Hit at the box-office and it needs to be seen if it can attain Super Hit status with a free run.

SPY is one of the most challenging films ever done by hero Nikhil. The film directed by Garry BH will see him in the role of a SPY who is on a mission to unfold India’s best-kept secret of what that it happened to Subhash Chandra Bose after the airplane crash in 1945.

SPY marks the first movie for Nikhil to play a RAW Agent. Besides undergoing a makeover, he needed to work hard to learn a few things to play the character. He underwent complete training in weapon handling, all facets of RAW work, and self-defense techniques including the Israeli Krav Maga.

Krav Maga is derived from a combination of techniques used in aikido, judo, karate, boxing, and wrestling.

Nikhil also met former RAW agents and spies to understand many aspects, including their body language.

So, what’s the best-kept secret of the country? It’s about the freedom fighter and founder of the Indian National Army (INA), Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who gave the nation the slogan: ‘Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azadi doonga’ (You give me blood, I will give you freedom).

Netaji’s death is still a mystery. A movie based on this hidden story is sure to amp up curiosity levels. So, ‘Spy’ clearly is not a regular movie in the espionage genre.

Even some areas that are on advance basis like Nellore (45 lakhs) should also be done by tomorrow. The film is a clean Hit and it’s certain to be a Super Hit.

The film did very good business in the North India Belt on Independence day with more than 1 Cr Net whereas the opening day was just 10 lakhs. Shows have now been increased for the film. In the USA the film collected around 480 thousand dollars by the end of Monday.

Vishnu Manchu, president of the MAA, spoke out in support of Nikhil Siddhartha, who has been having issues with the distribution of his upcoming film ‘Karthikeya 2.’ Vishnu posted on social media in support of Nikhil and his group.

Actress Anupama Parameswaran, who plays the female lead in director Chandoo Mondeti’s eagerly awaited ‘Karthikeya 2’, featuring actor Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead on Monday clarified why she had been unable to join the team in promoting the film.

Taking to Instagram, Anupama wrote, “Hey, just wanted to give a clarity on why I am not able to join ‘Karthikeya’ promotions.

“I have been shooting continuously day and night for two other films, which have combination dates of other artistes, which was planned since a long time… but unfortunately, there were so many changes in the release date of ‘Karthikeya’ and things are a little tight this side. Hope you all understand the difficulty.

“To my entire team, lots of love for all the efforts you put in for our film, especially to actor Nikhil garu for his extra efforts.”

Meanwhile, actor Nikhil Siddhartha announced the winner of the Hyderabad leg of the ‘Karthikeya 2 Quest’ treasure hunt contest.

On Instagram, he posted a picture of the winner receiving the prize and said, “Srikanth Domakonda, just like Dr. Karthikeya in the movie ‘Karthikeya 2’ chased the mystery from the morning and genuinely reached the final destination of Hare Krishna Golden Temple first. Gave him the Krishna Gold Idol worth 1.5 lakhs. A hundred others who solved the quest will receive tickets for the movie.”

Nikhil Siddhartha has penned a hearfelt and poignant letter to his father who passed away on Thursday.

Nikhil was working on ‘Karthikeya 2’ when he received a phone call from home that turned his life upside down.

Nikhil was heartbroken to learn that his father Shyam Siddhartha, had died of corticobasal degeneration, a rare disease.

The distraught actor took to social media to inform his fans and followers of the bad news. Nikhil did, however, write a heartfelt note to his father that is deeply emotional.

Shyam, Nikhil’s father, was taken to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead on Thursday. Nikhil and his family were devastated by the news, despite the fact that they had expected it because his father was suffering from the rare disease for a long time.

“Devastated that My father Shyam Siddhartha Passed away yesterday. Hope U find peace wherever you r Daddy..We Love u..”

“Our RTC Xroad movie and Biryani Outings, Travel,laughter, Summers in Mumbai.. will miss them all.

“I am always proud to be Your son. Hope we meet again daddy”, Nikhil wrote, as he also shared an elaborate message about his late father.

Nikhil’s emotional post recalls his fond memories with his dad, as he also shared a couple of photos with his late father.

“The last 8 years he has fought it, doing his best to stay for us, ably supported by my mother and Family. However yesterday he breathed his last.”

“An Avid Movie Buff who was a huge fan of the Greats NTR & ANR , his dream was to see me someday on the silver screen. His motivation and unwavering support have made me what I am today”, Nikhil recalls.
