IRR was planned to benefit Narayana Colleges and Heritage, says Perni Nani

1

Senior leader and former minister Perni Nani comes down heavily on TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh in the Inner Ring Road (IRR) Scam during the discussions on the last day of the assembly session in Amaravati.

The former minister said the master plan of IRR was altered to benefit heritage and Narayana-owned colleges.

“TDP leader Lingamaneni Ramesh changed the plan so that the inner ring road would come from the middle of the farm. But Chandrababu claims it was the decision of the cabinet. Lokesh, who is A-14, claims that he has nothing to do with IRR. From 2008 to 2017, Lokesh was the director of Heritage. They decided to buy land in Amaravati when Lokesh was the director of the heritage organization,” said the former minister Perni Nani.

He also said that Chandrababu and Narayana grabbed the assigned lands from the Dalits in Amaravati which is illegal.

“Further, Lingamaneni Ramesh said in the high court that he gave his house to Chandrababu out of loyalty. Immediately after leaving the post of CM, Rs. 27 lakhs were given as rent to Lingamaneni. The families of Nara and Lingamaneni will not say anything about the transactions of Rs.27 lakhs,” said Perni Nani.

Speaking on the scam in the assembly, Minister for Revenue Dharmana Prasada Rao said, “Records of assigned lands in Amaravati were destroyed. Records were destroyed and lands were taken by threatening the poor. The then government used the machinery for their own benefit.”

Perni blames Naidu for the book on Jagan

0

Former Minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) lashed out at TDP Chief N Chandra Babu Naidu for publishing a book with baseless allegations and concocted versions in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Addressing the media on Saturday, the former minister sought to know why Naidu and TDP leaders have not published their names on the cover page of the book and felt that it all indicates the allegations were false and fabricated.

If Naidu was really so committed, why didn’t he release similar books on the deaths of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao and former speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao, besides demanding CBI probe, he questioned.

How does the TDP Chief know what statement Avinash Reddy had given to the CBI and disclose the details, he asked and questioned why the TDP government failed to file any chargesheet in the case.

The former minister also reminded that it was Naidu who brought a GO and restricted the CBI in the State during his tenure. But YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has never restricted the CBI but has extended cooperation for the investigation.

Reacting to derogatory comments made by Nara Lokesh on the Chief Minister during Yuva Galam Padayatra, he said that Lokesh was using filthy language as his Padayatra, unable to evoke public response.

Perni Nani flays Naidu on Guntur stampede

1

Launching a scathing attack on TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, former Minister Perni Venkata Ramaiah (Nani) said that the former was playing havoc with the lives of people by mobilising them in large numbers for his publicity craze.

Addressing the media here on Monday, he said that the TDP resorted to cheap politics of distributing gifts to the poor in the name of ‘Sankranthi Kanuka’ and claimed the lives of three people, besides causing injuries to others at Guntur on Sunday. He alleged that the TDP leaders who carried out publicity in their friendly media and took permission from the police for organising a public meeting with 10,000 people had taken U-turn after the tragedy.

The TDP leaders also announced that Naidu has no connection with the tragedy and started blaming Vuyyuru Foundation. Why did the TDP leaders’ resort to cheap politics and issue 30,000 coupons to the people when they have taken permission from the police for organising a public meeting with 10,000 people. This itself shows Naidu’s self-promotion mission activity playing havoc with the lives of the people by distributing free gifts and resorting to cheap politics in the name of voluntary organisations, he said.

The former minister also advised the NRI’s not to fall into prey of Naidu’s self-promotion mission.

Reacting on the ongoing Kapu reservations issue and Hari Rama Jogaiah’s fast, the former minister maintained that the veteran leader is restoring to match fixing politics with Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Why didn’t Jogaiah take up the Kapu reservations issue while he was in active politics and call off his fast after interacting with Jana Sena Chief, he questioned.

People do not believe Naidu, says Perni Nani

1

Coming down heavily on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, former Minister Perni Nani said that people are not believing him again as he committed innumerable follies and cheated minorities, SCs, STs and BCs lock, stock and barrel.

Addressing the media on Friday, the former minister said that people are considering Naidu as the biggest misfortune that has befallen them. Observing there is no count of the follies committed by Naidu during his regime, he said that the TDP President’s image has gone down deep and the efforts of his friendly media to revive it would fall flat.

Chandrababu Naidu, who sought the mandate of the people in the 2024 elections saying it would be the last elections for him, has now changed his stance at the behest of his friendly media and begun saying it would be the last elections for the people, he said adding that the TDP president’s political career would not be revived despite all the dramas.

Making a mockery of Naidu’s claim that Lord Venkateswara Swamy gave him a new life to serve the people and fight the YSRCP, the former minister remarked that he got a new lease of life just to repent his sins and follies for the rest of his life. He further said that after the 2024 elections, Chandrababu will be cooling his heels repenting over his backstabbing of NTR and his other sins.

Objecting to the claims of the TDP President that attempts are being made to eliminate him, he said there is no need for anyone to kill Chandrababu who already lost his credibility in the society and tarnished his image by his own doings.

Chandrababu had begged people for votes in 2014 elections saying he was a changed person and would not repeat the old mistakes, he said and added that Naidu simply chose to cheat all sections of people including Nayee Brahmins, fishermen, DWCRA women, RTC employees and the minorities whose lives have improved immensely during the YSRCP rule.

Living with BJP, Pawan loves TDP, says Perni Nani

0

Minister for information and public relations Perni Nani, who also submitted his resignation to the cabinet along with other colleagues, made hard hitting comments on Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. He said that the Jana Sena chief was in alliance with the BJP, but still favours the association with the TDP.

“He is living with BJP, but still loves and looks at the TDP,” Perni Nani said, indicating that the Jana Sena chief had more love for the TDP than the BJP. He took strong exception to Pawan Kalyan’s statement that he would not allow anti-government votes to get divided.

Perni Nani further said that politics is not a profession for Pawan Kalyan, but a hobby. He said that the Jana Sena chief would come out once in a while, make some statement and go into hiding.

The minister, whose resignations are yet to be accepted by the Governor, said that they all would work for greater victory in the 2024 elections. He said he is ready to accept whatever the task that Jagan Mohan Reddy gives him.

Perni Nani also said that all the ministers have happily submitted their resignations to the chief minister. “We were all aware of the chief minister’s decision when he took us into the cabinet in 2019. He told us that he would have a new cabinet halfway,” he asserted.

Though all the ministers say that they are ready to accept whatever assignment is given to them, a good number of them are hopeful of getting another chance. The chief minister had told them in their last cabinet meeting on Thursday that he would take five to six ministers in the next cabinet.

It is to be seen who would find their place in the new cabinet and who would get the party task.

YSRCP hits back at Pawan Kalyan, calls him confused leader

0

Hitting back at Jana Sena leader and actor Pawan Kalyan, Andhra Pradesh’s Transport Minister Perni Venkatramaiah called him a confused leader who doesn’t have one ideology.

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader reacted sharply to Pawan Kalyan’s remarks against Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the party at Jana Sena’s formation day meeting on Monday.

Nani, as Perni Venkatramaiah is popularly known, alleged that the agenda of Pawan Kalyan is only to criticise the YSRCP government and support the Telugu Desam party (TDP).

Nani, who is also information and public relations minister, said that if Pawan Kalyan started the party to raise his voice against injustice, then why was he silent during 2014-2019 when the TDP was in power.

He questioned Pawan Kalyan why he suddenly came out with the concept to ensure no split of anti-incumbency votes.

Addressing the public meeting, Pawan Kalyan had exuded confidence that Jana Sena will come to power in 2024 and that there will be no split of anti-YSRCP votes.

The minister slammed Jana Sena leader for trageting YSRCP ministers and MLAs personally.

He questioned Pawan Kalyan as to why he did not raise his voice against BJP which didn’t give special category status to Andhra Pradesh and also didn’t implement commitments made in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

Nani also dared Pawan to speak about the Polavaram project and steel plant in Kadapa. He alleged that the aim of Pawan Kalyan is to bring Congress, TDP, BJP, CPI, CPI-M under one roof to fight the next election against the Chief Minister.

The minister recalled that Pawan Kalyan spoke against Amaravati as capital earlier and took a U-turn now.

Listing out the welfare schemes being implemented by the YSRCP government, Nani said Pawan Kalyan has become the mouthpiece of TDP president and former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and is criticising the government for vested interests.

Perni Nani about the new Ticket Pricing GO

1

The revised ticket pricing GO was expected to be out before the release of Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak. The government of AP imposed restrictions on theatres and some of the theatres are shut because of the low ticket prices. AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani responded about the GO saying that the revised GO got delayed due to the sudden demise of AP Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy. He said that the GO would have been issued on February 23rd but it is now pushed further.

Pawan Kalyan’s fans are quite furious about the restrictions of the government near the theatres today. The film received a blockbuster response and it opened to packed houses all over. There are talks that the new revised GO may be issued next week and all the summer biggies will take the advantage. Pawan Kalyan stood tight-lipped during the pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak and never uttered a word about the issue and crisis. The film fraternity feels that Pawan Kalyan is targeted and the issues will be resolved after the release of Bheemla Nayak.

Why AP govt invited only RGV for talks?

0

Andhra Pradesh Cinematography minister Perni Nani and film director Ramgopal Varma are engaged in a war of words for the past one week over Twitter and TV channel debates on ongoing controversy over regulation of ticket prices in AP by YSRCP government.

Varma is strongly opposing ticket price regulation by Jagan government. Suddenly, Varma got an invite from Perni Nani to come to AP Secretariat in Amaravati on January 10 for talks on ticket pricing.

Varma himself disclosed this through his Twitter handle on Friday night. But the question here is why did AP government invite only Varma for talks on ticket pricing.

This is because not just Varma has talked about ticket pricing. Several tollywod personalities are talking about this issue for long.

Varma is known to be close to YSRCP for long. He made several films attacking TDP, Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh and his family members besides targeting Pawan Kalyan and his Janasena party. These films were aimed to malign the image of TDP and Janasena and benefit YSRCP and Jagan.

Varma getting sudden invitation for talks on ticket pricing from AP government raises suspicion of a well orchestrated drama by Jagan and Varma to divert the issue.

C Kalyan lambasts Mudragada but Perni Nani supports

0

Mudragada Padmanabhan, who led Kapu reservation movement earlier, seems to be interested in any other topic except Kapu reservations nowadays. He wrote a letter to CM Jagan but producer Kalyan fired on Mudragada’s statements. Details as follows

Mudragada wrote a letter to Jagan in which he requested Jagan to implement online payments method not only for movie tickets but also for the remuneration of actors, technicians and even the labor working in film industry. During the debate about film industry issues in a tv channel, in which producer Kalyan and Perni Nani were present, Kalyan fired on Mudragada and he asked Mudragada to produce a movie first and then talk about film industry issues. Kalyan added, he will understand the pain of producers only if he makes a movie. He requested Mudragada not to politicise the issue. Kalyan also added, if Mudragada wants political mileage, he can take up any other issue. However, minister Perni Nani who was also in the call, supported Mudragada saying he is a great man and intellectual.

But there’s a wide negative reaction on Mudragada from netizens. They are criticising Mudragada for not talking about the hardships common man is facing with the increased prices and worst roads. They are commenting that Mudragada is behaving like a slave of Jagan by only playing to the tunes of Jagan instead of rising voice on real issues.

The story behind ACB raids in Perni Nani’s constituency

1

Normally, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) spares the constituencies that are represented by powerful politicians. If it is a minister, the ACB wouldn’t even look into the constituency. But, in the case of the Machilipatnam assembly constituency, the story appears to be totally different. The ACB is very active in Machilipatnam, especially in the municipality these days.

The ACB is probing into several officials of the Municipality and this is giving sleepless nights to them. Some of them have sent SOS to Minister Perni Nani. But, this doesn’t seem to be yielding any positive result.

The story goes that the minister realized that there were large-scale irregularities in the house tax collection. He had a survey of over 40000 houses done. He found that in a majority of cases the houses were being under-taxed.

Thus, a two-storeyed building was shown as a small RCC roofed house. Similarly, an RCC roofed two BHK was shown as a tile-roofed house. As a result, these houses were being levied less tax and the civic body was losing heavily on its revenue. The survey also showed that a handful of leaders from the erstwhile ruling party were responsible for this.

So, the minister asked the ACB to probe and book the officials responsible for the under-taxing. This is sending shivers down the spine of the officials who had helped the TDP. Some of them have already approached the minister, but to no avail. The ACB raids are now the talk of the town in Machilipatnam.

Naidu feeling heartburn over Jagan welfare: Perni

1

The mutual allegations were continuing between the YSRCP and the TDP on the 2-year achievements of Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime. Minister Perni Nani has launched a scathing attack on the TDP leaders, saying that Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh are making all sorts of baseless comments. They are not able to digest the fact that CM Jagan has come closer to the hearts of the public with his heavy dose of welfare.

The Minister has asserted that the Jagan regime has distributed welfare benefits of over Rs. 1.31 lakh Cr. This is what has created heartburn among Chandrababu and Lokesh. It is because of this jealousy and narrow mindedness that the people had taught a bitter lesson to Naidu in the 2019 elections.

Perni Nani referred to the irrigation projects and accused the TDP leaders of looting over Rs. 68,000 Cr in the name of projects during their regime. Chandrababu and his party leaders were only worried about the growing popularity of CM Jagan with each welfare programme being implemented under his leadership.

The Minister has recalled how their Chief Minister is continuing to pass on the welfare benefits to the poor people despite the financial problems arising out of the Covid pandemic.

Naidu more dangerous than Corona: Minister

5

The ruling YCP Ministers are losing patience with each passing day in the face of non-stop attacks by Chandrababu Naidu on their Covid failures. They were especially disturbed at Naidu’s repeated statements that CM Jagan was not doing anything when the most contagious N-44-K mutant was spreading fast and killing people in the State. Minister Perni Nani has come out with his most bitter attack now, saying that Naidu was more dangerous than even the dreaded Corona.

The Minister expressed surprise how Chandrababu could make such unbelievable remarks when CM Jagan Reddy was working day and night to save the lives of the people. It was a B.1.617 variant which was spreading in AP but not the N-440K as alleged by Mr. Naidu.

In the process, Minister Nani also defended his Government on the issue of ordering far fewer vaccine doses when compared with the other States. Naidu was making false statements and creating a scare among the people. Didn’t Chandrababu Naidu know who was controlling the vaccine supply as of now? Naidu would boast of many years of experience but he would not care about the safety of the people.

While the TDP was demanding AP should buy and give vaccine to all people, the Minister said their Government was ready to give vaccine to all if the Centre would provide enough of it.

Naidu doing funeral politics on Covid: Perni

0

As the Covid problem has intensified, the blame game has begun between the ruling YCP and the Opposition TDP. The rival leaders are blaming the Government for the rising virus cases, lack of oxygen at hospitals and increasing fatalities. Chandrababu Naidu has called the deaths at the hospitals as ‘Government murders’ and held the ruling YCP responsible for the growing helplessness in the system.

In a sharp reaction, Minister Perni Nani has asked why the TDP chief suddenly started blaming the Government while he should be creating awareness on the virus problem. In the second wave, the Coronavirus is having a much greater impact on the lungs than ever before.

Under such circumstances, there needs to be a greater caution among everybody. Perni Nani deplored that instead of creating confidence, Mr. Naidu was trying to spread panic. The TDP chief was taking pleasure in doing the funeral politics at a time when the general public were suffering greatly.

Scarcity of oxygen and beds was not a problem unique to AP. The Minister said that their Government was doing everything possible to increase facilities to fight Covid.

Remand to mason accused in Minister Perni murder attempt

1

The Krishna District Court has sent construction worker Nageswara Rao to 14-days judicial remand in the case relating to the murder attempt on Minister Perni Nani. The accused has been sent to the Covid sub jail in Machilipatnam. The murder attempt took place just a day ahead of the Assembly session.

Different versions were coming out. The mason was stated to be a relative of a TDP leader in the town. It was also stated that he was in a drunken condition at the time of the incident. However, the worker could not come nearer to the Minister and he was caught by the Minister’s followers immediately.

Initial reports said that the mason has been out of work for a long time now which was one reason for his frustration and eventual attack. But the masonry tool he was stated to have used does not look like a potential weapon that would be enough to carry out a murderous attack.

The TDP has questioned the same, saying that the mason attack on Minister Perni was just similar to the Kodi Kathi attack on CM Jagan Reddy. Both would remain unresolved mysteries.

Jagan a ‘betrayer of farmers’, Naidu a ‘runaway Zoom Babu’

1

Sparks flew as the ruling YCP and the TDP leaders had heated exchanges on the first day of the AP Assembly session. The YCP leaders once again launched scathing attacks on former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Instead of playing the role of a constructive opposition, Mr. Naidu has spent time all these days in another State.

Minister Kodali Nani advised Mr. Naidu to conduct online meetings as a ‘Zoom Babu’ if five days of Assembly session are not enough for him. Without addressing public issues, the TDP leaders were making needless comments on the murder attempt on Minister Perni Nani.

The YCP said that it was Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders who told lies to the world about the Alipiri attack in which the former survived an attempt on his life. Kodali Nani asserted that their party had no need to tell lies on Kodi Kathi attack against Jagan Reddy or Tapi attack on Minister Perni Nani.

On their part, the TDP leaders called the Chief Minister a ‘betrayer of farmers’ and the only CM who had committed breach of trust on promises like Rythu Bharosa, old age pensions, Capital, etc.

Minister Perni had a narrow escape from murder attempt

4

A construction worker named Nageswara Rao made a murder attempt on YCP Minister Perni Nani at his residence in Machilipatnam. The incident took place when the Minister was in the midst of the 10th day ceremony of his mother who recently passed away.

It was a narrow escape for the Minister as his security guards immediately swung into action and overpowered the assailant as he tried to make a second attempt. The Minister said that the offender acted as if he was trying to touch his feet but suddenly attacked him with a sharp weapon.

The Krishna district police registered a case of murder attempt against the masonry worker. The preliminary enquiries revealed that the construction worker resorted to the attack out of frustration over lack of work opportunities due to unprecedented sand shortage in the State.

SP Ravindranath confirmed that the construction worker made the attack and further investigation was being taken up to find out the actual reasons. Minister Kodali Nani, Talasila Raghuram, MLAs Jogi Ramesh and Vallabhaneni Vamsi called on Minister Perni and enquired about his well being.

People who worked in TDP are now in judiciary: Perni

1

In the most sensational statement undermining the judiciary and casting aspersions on the courts, transport minister Perni Venkataramaiah on Saturday alleged that some people who worked for the TDP are now in the judiciary to work for the benefit of TDP president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.

“People who worked actively in a political party for decades as foot soldiers are in the judiciary today, working for the benefit of Chandrababu,” Venkataramaiah. commented. His comments come in the wake of the Andhra Pradesh High Court passing gag orders on the media and stalling an investigation into an alleged real estate scandal in Amaravati during the TDP regime.

In the past, YSRCP MP Nandigama Suresh accused Naidu of managing the High Court. He alleged that Naidu was privy to court verdicts prior to 30 minutes or 10 minutes of its pronouncements.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has initiated contempt proceedings against YSRCP MP Nandigram Suresh and 48 others for intimidating judges of the Supreme Court and the High Court, besides using abusive language against them. Amanchi Krishna Mohan, another YSRCP leader, had found fault with the High Court directive to the CBI to probe the police highhandedness against Dr Sudhakar Rao. The court had sent contempt notices to both the leaders for their comments lowering the dignity of the court.

AP well-equipped, Naidu indulging in false propaganda: Perni Nani

1

As the number of positive corona cases crossed the 300-mark and four deaths reported in Andhra Pradesh, the state government has started identifying hotspots where it will undertake rapid antibody testing of suspected coronavirus patients, transport, I&PR minister Perni Nani said on Tuesday.

Andhra Pradesh so far reported 304 cases of corona, 290 of them had attended Tablighi Jamaat religious congregation in South Delhi’s Nizamuddin and returned to the state. Addressing a press conference, Nani said a total of 1,043 people from AP had attended the Jamaat congregation, of these 196 were tested positive and undergoing treatment in various government hospitals. The state government had identified and traced 22,620 foreign returnees and were placed under the 14-day mandatory home quarantine. Further, he said four hospitals were set up in the state, an exclusive hospital to treat corona patients is being established in Bellamkonda.

TPD president and former chier minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a recent press meet in Hyderabad accused the government of hiding facts while stating that AP has registered 1,021 per cent rise in the number of corona cases as against India’s average of 222 per cent in the last one week. He said the government should step up testing in order to identify and isolate corona positive cases for prevention of its transmission.

Addressing media here, Nani said, “The state is much ahead compared to other states in testing and containing coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh. Our volunteer system has tracked more than 20,000 foreign returnees. They are home quarantined.”

Coming down heavily on Naidu for accusing the government of not being transparent and for not providing adequate medical equipment to medical staff, Perni Nani said that there is enough stockpiled medical equipment like masks, gowns and gloves to fulfill the anticipated need of state’s health care system as it deals with the coronavirus. “We have been transparent. Some people who sit in Hyderabad should know that the state is well equipped to deal with the corona crisis. He should stop politicizing. This is a false propaganda from a man from another state. He is making irresponsible statements,” he said referring to Naidu.

In terms of supplies, the minister said this is an unprecedented challenge and the state government is working on to increase the supplies of personal protective equipment and ventilators. “We have tremendous supplies, we have adequate number of N95 masks, Personal Protective Equipment, gowns, masks, but we want to acquire more,” he said. Reacting sharply to a video of a Narsipatnam doctor who accused that the AP government lacks adequate medical gear to fight corona virus, he said the doctor spoke like a politician and not as a medical practitioner. “The hospital in Narsipatnam that the so called doctor was talking about has 20 PPEs and 32N95 masks. The hospital is not even a Covid center. Is he a doctor or a politician to talk this way,” Perni Nani questioned. Currently, 12,000 Personal Protective Equipment is available, and the government has placed an order for 20,000 more PPEs.

The health minister said the state government had set up three more laboratories in Vizag, Kadapa and Guntur for testing suspected novel coronavirus cases. With the three new labs, Nani said the state currently has seven labs which a capacity to test 1,270 samples in each of the labs. Additionally, the state government will convert the more than 240 TB testing labs into covid-19 testing labs.

Pawan hints at merging with BJP, says AP Minister

0

YCP Minister Perni Nani has quickly reacted to Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan’s comment. The Minister said that the merger of Jana Sena with the BJP is just a matter of time going by the latest statement of Pawan. Nani asserted that the YCP came to power with the recognition given by the people and there is no need for recognition from Pawan Kalyan.

The Minister was responding to Pawan statement that leaders like Union Home Minister Amit Shah are correct to deal with oppressive leaders like Jaganmohan Reddy. A handful of faction groups have spread terror and kept total control over Rayalaseema region. Such factionists can be dealt with only by leaders like Amit Shah. Pawan said that Amit Shah has been suppressing such forces with an iron hand.

Pawan is increasing his attack on CM Jagan Reddy many steps more. He is intensifying his criticism instead of stepping down in the face of sharp personal attacks by YCP Ministers. Once again, Minister Nani commented on the four marriages of Pawan Kalyan saying that the people are taking a wrong view of this but Jana Senani is not realizing this.
