Prashant Kishore’s Sensational Comments: Jagan’s downfall is inevitable and substantial

Renowned political strategist Prashant Kishor has sent shockwaves through Andhra Pradesh’s political arena with his recent bold predictions about the state’s upcoming elections. His sensational comments during the press conclave event have sent shockwaves through the state’s political landscape, particularly for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ruling party.

Prashant Kishor’s Sensational Comments:

At a Press Conclave event, Prashant Kishor made sensational declarations, leaving no room for ambiguity. He unequivocally stated that Jagan’s impending defeat in the upcoming elections is certain. This assertion has reverberated across political circles, signaling potential upheaval in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape. Kishor’s analysis suggests a looming victory for the Telugu Desam Party- Janasena alliance, indicating a shift in power dynamics within the state.

Prashant Kishore’s Rationale for predicting Jagan’s defeat:

Kishor minced no words as he dissected the current political climate in Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that the electorate is clamoring for change, spelling trouble for Jagan’s government. He underscored that a mere monetary distribution cannot secure votes from people. He highlighted the need for substantive development alongside welfare measures. He opined that Jagan had put all the eggs in a single basket. He added that people expect political leaders to be more than just “providers”, taking a dig at Jagan’s opinion that money distribution schemes will ensure his victory in the next elections. According to Kishor, effective governance entails more than dispensing funds; it necessitates genuine progress and upliftment of the populace.

Comparative Analysis with KCR’s Fate:

He compared Jagan’s current situation with the fate of KCR in Telangana. Kishor predicted a similar outcome for Jagan in AP, suggesting an impending electoral setback for the incumbent Chief Minister.

YSRCP leaders and Cadres respond:

In response to Kishor’s damning predictions, YSRCP leaders have been swift to react. Ambati Rambabu dismissed Kishor’s credibility, drawing parallels with political analyst Lagadapati whose forecasts had proven inaccurate in the past.

YSRCP cadres also pointed out Kishor’s earlier prediction of KCR’s victory in the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, which subsequently turned out to be incorrect.

Impact on Neutral Voters:

Prashant Kishor is currently not working as a political consultant for any political party. His transition away from active political consulting underscores his current neutrality in electoral campaigns. As a result, his remarks are likely to resonate strongly with neutral voters, shaping their perceptions and influencing their electoral decisions.

Prashant Kishor’s unequivocal assertion of Jagan’s imminent defeat has sent political tremors across the state. His comments have already become viral on media and social media. We need to wait and see how various parties respond to these comments.

Prashant Kishore declines Congress offer

2

Prashant Kishore, the country most sought after political strategists announced on social media that he declined the offer given by Congress to join the party. Details as follows.

Prashant Kishore played instrumental role in bringing BJP into power in 2014 general elections and in bringing YSRCP into power in 2019 AP elections. In recent times there have been several attempts to bring PK as strategist to Congress party. Earlier attempts were foiled as Rahul Gandhi and PK got some creative differences about the approach to be followed. Later Priyanka Gandhi and co had resumed discussions with PK and convinced congress bigwigs to have PK as the main strategist for the party. However, Congress leaders asked PK to join the party officially. PK responded on this today. He wants to confine his role as strategist of the party rather than to expand it to become a political leader.

Prashant Kishore tweeted that “ I declined the generous offer of #congress to join the party as part of the EAG & take responsibility for the elections.

In my humble opinion, more than me the party needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep rooted structural problems through transformational reforms.”

We need to wait and see whether PK will be able to restore the prospects of grand old party in the upcoming elections.

Why KCR needs PK for this election?

Election strategist Prashant Kishore is said to have signed with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to help the party in the impending 2023 Assembly elections. TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) had gone for early polls in his first term and retained power.

Now, for his third term, he is borrowing strategy from Prashant Kishore, who had worked for several regional parties and helped them win the election. In fact, he had also helped Narendra Modi to become the prime minister in the 2014 election.

Two terms in office, KCR is looking for the strategist to win the election. This itself indicates that TRS had lost its ground at the grassroots despite rolling out several popular schemes.

KCR is a marvellous orator and there is no doubt that he can convince his rivals once he begins to speak. Be it a press conference or a public meeting, KCR speaks unstoppable or rather he spills words and phrases with ease.

However, it looks as if KCR doesn’t want to take a chance in this election as it is crucial to him to pass on the leadership to his son KTR. He wants this power transformation with a comfortable majority for the party in the Assembly.

The Congress and the BJP are haunting him and the BJP is giving him a tough fight. In the south, after Karnataka, Telangana is the only state where the BJP is gaining ground. This is the reason why KCR doesn’t want to take a chance and hence needed the strategist.

But the big question is will PK be able to help the TRS in Telangana while working for the Congress in national politics? As he works for the Congress at the Centre, the Congress leadership in TS also look forward to PK. This would mean a double strategy required for PK to handle the Congress and help the TRS in Telangana.

It is to be seen how PK and his team would handle the situation, once the race begins for the 2023 battle.

KCR-PK discussion continues for 2nd day

0

The discussions between Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and election strategist Prashant Kishor continued here for a second consecutive day on Sunday.

Prashant Kishor, who airdashed to Hyderabad on Saturday, had a night halt at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of the chief minister after day-long discussions.

KCR, as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief is popularly known, on Sunday resumed discussion with Prashant Kishor on the strategy for next year’s Assembly elections in Telangana and his plans of a national alternative at the Centre.

The discussions are likely to continue throughout the day. KCR’s son and TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao also discussed various issues with PK, as the political strategist is popularly called.

KCR’s discussions with PK assume significance in view of the latter’s recent series of meetings with Congress leadership and his reported plans to join the grand old party.

Kishor is understood to have shared with KCR the result of the survey done by his team in 89 Assembly constituencies in Telangana. He had already given a report to the TRS president on the survey done in 30 constituencies.

With PK’s recent moves raising question mark on whether he would continue to work with the TRS, the election strategist is believed to have assured KCR that he would honour the commitment.

The TRS leader and PK also reported to have exchanged views on the current political situation in the country and KCR’s plans to forge an alliance of regional parties.

The discussions come ahead of 21st foundation day celebrations of TRS scheduled in Hyderabad on April 27. Party sources indicated that the inputs given by PK may come up for discussion at the day-long plenary.

Based on the outcome of the survey by the PK team, the TRS chief may guide the party leaders to strengthen the organisation ahead of the 2023 polls.

Last month, KCR revealed that he is working with PK. Describing PK as his best friend for the last 7-8 years, KCR had claimed that he never takes money for his work. “Prashant Kishor never takes money for work. Take it from me. He is not a paid worker. You people don’t know who Prashant Kishor is and what his commitment is for the nation,” he said.

KCR said since Prashant Kishor worked in 12 states and can help in impacting national politics, he invited him to work with him.

The TRS chief said that Prashant Kishor with apps, surveys and his i-PAC team knows people’s pulse.

Can Prashant Kishore help Congress win 2024?

1

Election strategist Prashant Kishore is said to have submitted a report to Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday in the national capital. The report is about the party’s strategy to be followed for the 2024 elections.

The Congress in national politics and in several states is too far from victory in the near future. The party had lost its base in several states and had become weak in national politics over the years.

Sonia Gandhi’s decisions and her coterie alone are to be blamed for the present state of the national party. The party is too far from victory and not a match to the BJP, which had won two successive elections. It had also won four out of five states in the north in the recent past and is fully geared up for the third successful victory in the 2024 elections.

Rahul Gandhi, who took over the reins of the party had failed to lead it and Sonia Gandhi has an aging problem to lead the party. She may not be able to address the election meetings in the states and the other leaders are not known to the people.

In this backdrop, Prashant Kishore is learnt to have prepared a report which included a road map for the Congress to wrest power from the BJP. Prashant Kishore had been successful with whichever party he worked for so far. However, his latest assignment with the Congress may not prove him successful as Congress is inflicted with a leadership crisis.

Prashant Kishor advises KCR, Jagan, Sharmila: Whats cooking?

0

Her party may have proved to be a non-starter and her residual cadres are in hibernation, but YSRTP founder-chief YS Sharmila never tires criticising KCR and the TRS. In fact, her criticism is more strident than the mainstream opposition parties like the Congress and the BJP. Despite all her criticism and harsh words, KCR hasn’t criticised her even once. The TRS has largely ignored her.

A strong section feel that Sharmila is acting as a secret benefactor for the TRS. They feel that she has been planted by KCR himself to take the wind from the sails of the opposition parties. It is because of this that KCR ignores her criticism. At the same time, KCR is very touchy about criticism by either Revanth Reddy or Bandi Sanjay. He even organises public meetings like the one in Janagam to counter them. But, he just ignored Sharmila.

In a latest attack on KCR, Sharmila said that he has not paid ex-gratia to any of the families of the farmers who ended their lives due to crop failure or financial distress. She said that despite High Court orders, the government has not issued ex-gratia to anyone. As expected, both KCR and the TRS leaders have largely ignored these attacks.

Political watchers say that both Sharmila and KCR have the same advisor. Poll wizard Prashant Kishor is working out political and electoral strategies for both the leaders. In fact, when PK visits Hyderabad, he stays in Lotus Pond and his team in Hyderabad operates from the Lotus Pond residence of the YS family. Interestingly, the same PK is also advising YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in AP.

Has Prashant Kishor left KCR disappointed?

0

Have KCR and Prashant Kishor fallen out even before they could team up? Was there a difference of opinion on KCR’s entry into national politics? The political circles, including the TRS leaders, are engaged in an animated debate on the issue. Whenever any two leaders meet, this topic is inevitably cropping up.

KCR reportedly wanted to hire Prashant Kishor for boosting his profile at the national level and also to assess the performance of his MLAs in the runup to the 2023 assembly elections. As part of this strategy, KCR has already upped his ante and began a strident attack on the BJP government at the Centre. He has also begun talking to the leaders of various other regional parties.

However, highly placed sources say that PK has advised KCR to support the leadership of Mamta Banerjee. He is said to have told him that with just 17 MP seats, Telangana can possibly play no role in national politics. He reportedly told KCR that since West Bengal has the highest number of Lok Sabha seats among the non-BJP parties, KCR should support her.

An upset KCR has reportedly disagreed and is said to have snapped the discussion. However, TRS sources say that the Team PK’s survey and evaluation of the performance of the TRS MLAs would continue and these reports would be used to decide on the candidates for the 2023 elections.

Is this what PK will do for KCR?

1

Despite his tough exterior, KCR is a shaken man post Huzurabad election outcome. He has realised that the anti-incumbency is growing and the people are increasingly dissatisfied with his rule. Also, the people in his own party are showing signs of rebellion for the first time. Hence, he wants to have a clear idea of the public mood.

Hence, KCR is said to be planning to get surveys done in the state.

It is for this that KCR has reportedly requisitioned the services of the famed IPAC owned by Prashant Kishor. According to reports he wanted them to give him a true picture of the political situation in the state of Telangana. Based on the reports, KCR will take a call further using the IPAC services.

There are several issues on which KCR wants to understand the public perception. He wants to know about the Dalit Bandhu scheme, its efficacy in vote catching and its ability to turn the time in TRS’ favour. He also wants to know about the functioning of various welfare schemes. Similarly, he wants to know the public perception about the functioning of the government.

TRS insiders say that PK mighteven advise KCR on the right candidate for various constituencies. The Team PK had given similar advice to YS Jagan and Mamta Banerjee. In both cases, his assessment proved to be spot on. It helped both the parties to win their respective elections.

Why did KCR meet Team PK? Will he take Prashant Kishor’s support to win elections?

0

On Wednesday, Telangana CM KCR had a set of unusual guests. The guests, all young and hep, walked with their shining laptop bangs and swanky mobiles into Pragathi Bhavan and held a longish meeting with KCR. This seemingly innocuous meet has set off a flurry of speculations in the political circles. The reason? The team is from I PAC, the team that poll wizard Prashant Kishore runs and KCR needs them badly as he is suffering reverses galore.

The meeting was focused on the welfare and developmental measures that KCR is putting in place and also the decisions that the government is taking. The IPAC members have suggested surveys to assess the mood of the voters in the state. This meeting assumes importance as the state is just about 18 months away from the next assembly elections.

KCR, who is said to be worried about the waning popularity of his government, wants to understand the reasons for his failures. It is increasingly becoming clear that the anti-incumbency is picking pace. The government decisions are being roundly criticised and its policies questioned. He is also finding that the TRS is facing trouble from both within and outside. He also wants to know the impact of Eatala Rajender joining the BJP.

In fact, some time ago, KTR had a meeting with Prashant Kishore. This meeting came up at the same time when PK was holding his high profile meetings with Sharad Pawar in Maharashtra. Since then, there are rumours that the TRS might requisition his services. Interestingly, YS Sharmila is now being advised and assisted by Priya, a PK team member. Will PK himself advise KCR? Sources say that as of now the government only wants the survey support from Team PK. Further services would be decided based on the need, say sources.

BJP not going anywhere, problem is with Rahul: Prashant Kishore

1

Poll strategist Prashant Kishor has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party ‘is not going anywhere for many decades and the problem with Rahul Gandhi is that he thinks that the BJP will be overthrown by people’.

Kishor said this in Goa on Wednesday and a clip of his Q and A session has been shared in social media.

The statement comes at a time when the Trinamool is spreading itself outside Bengal, and is also a proof that the talks of Kishor’s entry into the Congress have ended.

He said that the BJP will be at the centre of Indian politics for years, it wins or loses, much like the Congress in the first 40 years after Independence.

“BJP is going to be the centre of Indian polity, whether they win, whether they lose, like it was for the first 40 years for Congress. BJP is going nowhere. Once you secure 30 per cent plus votes at the national level you are not going away in a hurry. So do not ever get into this trap that people are getting angry and they will throw away (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi,” he said.

“Maybe they will throw away Modi, but BJP is not going anywhere. They are going to be here, they are to fight it out for the next many decades. It is not going in a hurry,” Kishor answered when asked.

He added: “Unless you examine, understand and take cognizance of strength, you will never be able to put a counter to defeat him (BJP & Modi’S strength)”. He said the problem with Rahul Gandhi is he does not realise this but thinks people will overthrow the BJP.

Earlier, he had said that the Congress party’s fortunes in Uttar Pradesh, which goes to the polls next year, would not be revived despite all the “hype” generated around the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, and the subsequent arrest of party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

“People looking for a quick, spontaneous revival of GOP led opposition based on #LakhimpurKheri incident are setting themselves up for a big disappointment. Unfortunately there are no quick fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of GOP,” Kishor, who played an instrumental role in propelling Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress back to power in the West Bengal Assembly polls held in March-April this year, wrote on Twitter.

The remarks have come amid “strong speculation” that Kishor would join the Congress and the party was deliberating on the issues raised by him.

Even as no one in the party is averse to the idea of Kishor joining the Congress, the party leaders have said that he should not be given sweeping powers regarding elections.

The Congress is preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh along with a few other states which are going to polls next year.

In the politically crucial north Indian state, the Congress is pitted against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party.

IITians… Prashant Kishor wants you!!

0

With both YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh and his sister YS Sharmila in Telangana eager to rope in team PK for their image building and electoral success, Prashant Kishore is now on a mission to recruit IITians into his campaign. He is trying to get them on board to get accurate inputs and interpretation of those inputs.

Sources say that Team PK has approached the IIT in Mumbai and offered campus placement for at least 150 IITians. Sources say that he had offered 1.5 lakh per month to the recruits. He reportedly told the principal of the institution that he might require another 150 persons at a later date. Also, team PK is on the lookout for IItians from other parts of the country.

These IITians are required to interact with the people, formulate questionnaires, elicit answers and then analyse them. They would be required to evaluate the people’s responses to the slew of welfare measures put in place by YS Jagan government. These analyses will help Jagan to understand the people’s mood and then take up course correction.

As for Telangana, their role is limited to understanding public mood and suggesting strategies to Sharmila to maximise her impact. As of now, Sharmila has failed to make a mark in Telangana despite her many attempts. The initial enthusiasm that the YSRTP had generated, is gone now. The party has not succeeded in creating a buzz for itself. Hence, Team PK will advise her on how to get the buzz and make an impact.

Prashant Kishor slams Congress, says protests are useless

0

Is the Congress banking on wrong candidates in its fight against the BJP at the national level? On Friday, two of its blue-eyed boys criticized the party and its actions. Firstly, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was specially picked and appointed the Punjab State Congress Committee chief expressed his dissatisfaction at the way things were going on in Punjab. Then Prashant Kishor, who was expected to join the Congress soon  said the Congress has deep-rooted and structural problems. He even questioned the party’s strategy on the Lakhimpur Kheri episode.

Navjot Sindh was to start a rally from Amritsar to Lakhimpur Kheri. However, the chief minister came late to the venue. Angered by this , Sidhu screamed “where is the Congress? It is dead. There is no party.”  He also said that had he been made the CM, the situation would have been different. These comments have shown that Sidhu is not happy with the high command and that all is still not well in the Congress Party.

At about the same time, poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who is now advising the Congress on taking on the BJP tweeted saying: People looking for a quick, spontaneous revival of GOP led opposition based on #LakhimpurKheri incident are setting themselves up for a big disappointment. Unfortunately there are no quick fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of the GOP. The GOP referred to the Grand Old Party, which is the Congress Party.

The Congress found itself on the defensive and did not know how to react to Prashant Kishor. The confusion in the Congress party was there before the full public view.

Prashant Kishore teaches ‘Youth Mantra’ to Rahul Gandhi

1

Rahul Gandhi, it appears , has shed his diffidence and became active once again. He is now moving very fast to set his house in order and reactivate the party setup. He is now planning to tour the whole country and meet the party workers. He now wants to capitalise on the growing unhappiness against Narendra Modi, who is in power for more than 7 years.

Rahul Gandhi always felt that youth should be promoted in the party and that the differences between various factions within the party should be quickly ironed out. Now that he has solved the dispute between Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and PCC chief Navjot Singh Siddhu and appointed young Revanth Reddy as the PCC chief in Telangana, he is now planning to address similar issues in other states. He is said to be focusing on the Gehlot-Sachin Pilot dispute in Rajasthan. He is now planning to meet both CM Gehlot and Sachin Pilot.

In fact, it was his inability to solve the dispute between Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia that has led to the fall of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. Now Jyotiraditya is a shining star in the BJP and is made a union minister. Sources in the Congress say that Rahul Gandhi is determined not to allow such developments in future. He is now trying to bring the warring factions in various states together and focus on the young leaders. Election wizard Prashant Kishore has reportedly told Rahul Gandhi to focus on the young leaders in the party. Rahul Gandhi, it is being reported, is doing as per the directions of Prashant kishore.

Soon, Rahul Gandhi is likely to undertake a nation-wide tour to reactivate the cadres. He is likely to involve more and more youth in the party affairs. He is also likely to promote young leaders within the party. Sources say that he has promoted young leaders as PCC chiefs in Kerala, Punjab and Telangana and is likely to bring in more young leaders in other states too. Let’s wait and watch if the youth mantra works for him.

What is Prashant Kishore doing in Lotus Pond?

1

What was poll wizard Prashant Kishore doing in the Lotus Pond? Highly placed sources say that Prashant Kishore or PK, as he is popularly known, has spent most of the day at the Lotus Pond on Thursday. Sharmila’s party YSSTP is set to be launched on Friday at 12 noon. PK’s presence a day before the launch of Sharmila’s party is being viewed with a lot of interest.

It may be recalled that PK’s camp follower Priya is planning strategies for Sharmila. She is working on catchy slogans, Sharmila’s body language, speeches and their content. She is also putting in efforts on brand creation and promotion in a big way. Given all this, PK’s appearance is being considered significant.

Between 2014 and 2019, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has allowed PK, who was then advising him, to set up his office in the Lotus Pond. A full-fledged team had operated from the same premises. In addition, an IPAC office, which is owned by PK, functioned from one of the assets of the YSR family. The same office is continuing even now, say sources.

However, there is some confusion as to why PK visited the Lotus Pond. There were reliable reports that PK was going to meet KTR soon. The meeting with KTR has two objectives. Firstly, to help TRS formulate the strategy for 2023 and 2024. Secondly, to bring all anti-BJP forces together. Normally, PK works with only one political party in one state. Given this, why did he visit Lotus Pond when he is said to already in talks with KTR? This question is being hotly debated in the political circles in both the Telugu states.

Meanwhile, Sharmila will address the inaugural meet of the YSRTP in JRC Convention Centre in the Film Nagar. A public meeting with some 1500 people would be held at 12 noon, sources close to Sharmila revealed.

Prashant Kishore has his game plan for Telugu states

1

Election management wizard Prashant Kishore is currently on a plan to unite all the anti-BJP regional forces. He wants to bring them together to defeat the BJP. He has already met Nationalist Congress Party’s Sharad Pawar as part of his Mission 2024 blueprint.

But if highly placed sources are to be believed, Prashant Kishore had a highly secretive meeting with KTR too. It is being now revealed that KTR was very impressed by Prashant’s strategies. While papa KCR feels that his strategies are good enough to take on the BJP, KTR is said feel that PK will be a useful ally. KTR has always been a strong supporter of the tech-driven, strategy-guided poll management. He had used such systems in the 2018 elections very successfully. There is no way of knowing what transpired in the PK-KTR meeting, which was held long back.

Meanwhile, there are feelers that PK may not work for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2024. One major reason is YS Jagan’s open alignment with the BJP. PK reportedly feels that Jagan will not fit into his scheme of things anymore. His pro-BJP stance will come in the way of forging an anti-BJP alliance. Though YS Jagan had said that PK would continue to give him feedback about his governance, it is not to be happening. Jagan has developed his own system of feedback through the village volunteers, a source said.

However, whether he would ally with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh too is unclear as PK’s former associate Robin Sharma is already advising the TDP.

But several questions still remain. Firstly who will be the face of the anti-BJP group – Sharad Pawar or Mamta Banerjee? Secondly, what will be the role of south India in the whole scheme of things ? Time alone will tell how PK manages these contradictions.

Prashant Kishore lives up to the challenge, yet again

1

Prashant Kishore is undoubtedly the most sought after political strategist in India nowadays. He seems to have lived up to the expectations yet again and even won the challenge he posed to BJP before elections. Details as follows.

When most of the media houses were carried away by the mind games of BJP and running the stories that BJP is on the verge of coming into power in West Bengal, he was the only one who very confidently said that, BJP will not even cross the double digit of seats, forget about reaching the magic number of 147. He even challenged that, if BJP gets 100 or more seats, he will quit his job as political strategist. It is known news that he provided strategy and support to Mamata Banerjee’s TMC this time.

He tweeted before elections that, “I am glad BJP is taking my chat more seriously than words of their own leaders! They should show courage & share the full chat instead of getting excited with selective use of parts of it. I have said this before & repeating again – BJP will not to CROSS 100 in WB. Period. For all the hype AMPLIFIED by a section of supportive media, in reality BJP will struggle to CROSS DOUBLE DIGITS in #WestBengal

PS: Please save this tweet and if BJP does any better I must quit this space!”.

After seeing this tweet of him, everyone thought, it was really a courageous move by Prashant Kishore to throw a challenge like this. However, now the results are out, and it looks like BJP may fall short of 100 seats and Prashant Kishore is likely to win this challenge.

PK-YCP new mantra to prevent unity among rivals

4

Not even two years have passed since YS Jaganmohan Reddy took over as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Both reports from the Prashant Kishore team and the intelligence wing are stated to be that the public opinion is not in favour of the Jagan regime as of now. As such, it is back to the same old politicking and extreme strategies that were adopted at the time of the 2019 election.

It was well known how the PK team divided the voters in 2019 at a micro level along caste and communal lines. They successfully prevented polarisation of certain sections in favour of the TDP. They also divided the BC vote banks in places like the Godavari and North Andhra areas to a certain extent. Now, unable to stop the rising unpopularity of its regime, the YCP has once again started following the PK mantra to divide the people along caste and communal lines. The ongoing panchayat elections came as a testing ground for the ruling party and the PK team.

Analysts say that it is only as a part of this strategy that the YCP leaders have begun accusing the TDP of targetting the Ambedkar and the Ranga statues. It would create disturbances in the State in order to divert public attention. The YCP is accusing the TDP of trying all devious methods to destabilise the Jaganmohan Reddy Government. Doubtless to say, the politicization of the statues and the sentiments of different sections is certainly going to create serious differences among different communities in future.

One thing is certain that the PK strategy may definitely prevent the anti-YCP sections from coming together to fight against the Jagan Reddy Government in future.

Prashant Kishor tears into Modi camp on Unlock-1 Covid plan

2

YSRCP’s political advisor in 2019 elections and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘Man Friday’ Prashant Kishor has turned his guns on the Modi government on the handling of the corona virus in the country terming the complete lockdown a ‘botched up’ initiative.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Prashant Kishor slammed the central government on the complete lockdown and the measures initiated to contain the spread of the virus. “A botched up #lockdown and series of strategic mistakes have turned a public health issue into a full-blown humanitarian crisis. Now instead of going for a course correction that is guided by scientific evidence and data with #unlock1 we are setting ourselves for a catastrophe,” he tweeted.

Backed by data from Lockdown 1.0 to Unlock 1.0, he tried to tear into the central government saying as on March 20 there were 190 positive cases and as on May 31 the figure has gone up to 1,90,535, a 1002 times spurt in the cases. The fatality rate as on March 20 was four. However, as on May 31, the country reported 5,389 fatalities, a jump of 1,348 times. India is globally ranked at 7 in the spike in corona positive cases and 13th in the fatality rates, he noted in his tweet.

Prashant Kishor calls for well-thought plan to combat Covid

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to light candles on Sunday at 9 p.m. for nine minutes amid the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown, election strategist Prashant Kishor called for a well-thought-out plan and response to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

“While we must appreciate all efforts that showcase our solidarity and demonstrate our resolve to fight Covid, these can’t be substitute for a robust, well thought-out plan and response that is rooted in scientific evidence and is guided by data and best professional experience,” Kishor said in a tweet.

His remarks came after Modi on Friday once again reached out to the nation amid the 21-day nationwide lockdown and urged people to light a candle or “diya” on April 5 at 9 p.m. for nine minutes to dispel the darkness and gloom brought about by the outbreak of the deadly novel coronavirus.

“This Sunday, April 5, we have to challenge the COVID-19 pandemic, we have to introduce it to the power of light,” PM Modi said in an address to the nation.

“We have to take Mahasankalp (the supreme oath) by 130 crore citizens to new heights. I want your 9 minutes at 9 p.m. on April 5,” Modi said.

He then asked Indians to switch off lights in their homes, reach out from their windows, gates or balconies and light a candle or diya for 9 minutes. Even torches and mobile phone lights would also do. “Switch off every light in the house, reach to your main gate or balcony and light a candle, diya, torch or your mobile’s flash for 9 minutes,” Modi said.

On Friday, the total number of Covid-19 cases in India reached 2301 with 56 deaths and 156 cured.

Patna court rejects Kishor’s bail plea in content theft case

0

A Patna court on Saturday rejected the bail plea of political strategist Prashant Kishor in a fraud case involving content theft.

Complainant Shashwat Gautam had accused the expelled Janata Dal-United leader and his staff Osama of content theft for Kishor’s “Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign and lodged a fraud case with the Patliputra police station.

Osama had fought the Patna University students union elections. He had resigned from Kishor’s project that was set to be launched in future. He had allegedly handed over all the content related to the project to Kishor.

Kishor had moved the city court to seek bail in the case, which the court rejected after Saturday’s hearing.
