Come what may, I will attend Bhimavaram meeting, says Raghurama

0

YSR Congress rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Saturday said that he would attend the public meeting in Bhimavaram on July 4 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to be present.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju secured Z Plus security for him for five days from July 2 to 7 to attend the meeting. He also secured clearance from the AP High Court directing the police not to arrest the MP on pending cases and strictly follow the procedure if new cases are filed.

He had booked a helicopter for him from Hyderabad to Bhimavaram. He is trying to get the ground clearance for his helicopter to land in Bhimavaram. If permission is not given, he is ready to move the high court again.

He is also ready with Plan B to land in Rajamahendravaram or Gannavaram airport and reach Bhimavaram by road. He is likely to carry an advocate and a couple of media persons besides his Z Plus security personnel drawn from the CRPF along with him.

He is also mobilising some people in and around Bhimavaram to protect him and had even asked the media there to keep a video camera on his movements and the movements of the police all through his travel and stay in Andhra Pradesh.

He is also equipped with secret cameras fixed to his security personnel, his advocate and his assistants all along his travel to record everything, including the movement of the people. One wonders why is he doing all this just to attend the public meeting!

The answer is a challenge that he threw to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to stop him from attending the meeting!

Raghurama gets relief to attend PM meet at Bhimavaram

1

YSR Congress rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Friday finally secured AP High Court protection for his visit to Bhimavaram in West Godavari district on July 4. He would be participating in the meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to unveil the statue of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju had been trying to attend the meeting as the local MP and had secured clearance from the Prime Minister’s Office. He also tried to arrive here by a helicopter but was scared of AP police arresting him on the pending cases.

The MP is facing several cases for his anti-government comments in the media over the last two-and-a-half years. While there are official cases registered against him by the state police, some sections of the people have also filed cases against him for his alleged derogatory remarks against them.

The High Court too had given permission to the CID to question the MP in Hyderabad in some of these cases. However, fearing arrest by the police, the MP moved a lunch motion in the high court on Friday seeking direction to the police not to arrest him on July 4th and 5th as he had to attend the Prime Minister’s meeting.

The court had directed the state police not to book any cases against the MP on those two days. The court also directed the police to follow the procedure. The court asked the police to adhere to the rules and not to arrest him on those two days.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju had been speaking against the government for the past ten days expressing fears of his possible arrest. He also made several attempts to get security from the Central government, SPG and the Union Home Ministry besides the Prime Minister’s Office.

Now that the MP has the protection from the high court, it is to be seen how the AP police would make their next move.

Raghurama accuses CM Jagan of stalling his visit to Bhimavaram

1

Rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju accused chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of stalling him from visiting his home constituency, Bhimavaram to participate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to unveil the statue of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju in Bhimavaram on the day marking the 125th birth anniversary of the leader. The Prime Minister would also address a public meeting on the day.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who had deferred with the YSR Congress and had been criticising the party and the state government headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy for the past three years is now accusing the government of preventing him from attending the meeting.

He said he had had booked a helicopter from Hyderabad to reach Bhimavaram. However, he did not get ground clearance from the state government. He further said that he had also booked a first class coach of the railways to take him to Bhimavaram from Hyderabad, but he did not get approval from the railways yet.

He is now trying to get into the SPG helicopters that accompany the Prime Minister and was not sure whether he would get clearance or not. “As a local MP, I want to be there in the meeting when the Prime Minister visits my constituency,” he said.

However, he alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy was stalling him in all the ways and accused the BJP government of helping Jagan because of the Presidential elections. When asked whether he had any plans to visit Bhimavaram by road, the rebel MP feared that he might be killed in a road accident as Jagan Mohan Reddy is not ready to accept him in the state.

AP CID to question Raghurama, gets clearance from HC

1

The AP CBCID police have got clearance from the High Court on Wednesday to question YSR Congress rebel MP from Narasapur, K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, in the case related to campaign against the state government.

The high court dismissed the quash petition filed by the MP who alleged that the CID had filed false cases against him. He also alleged that the CID sleuths have harassed him and caused physical injuries to him. He further said that the CID police have beaten him up and wanted relief from the case.

However, the court dismissed his petition and permitted the CID police to question him. The court also told the CID to question the MP at Hyderabad’s Dilkush guest house.

The case was related to the MP’s series of press meets where he accused the government of promoting Christians and accused chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of heavy corruption and nepotism. The case was actually filed under sedition sections but they were withdrawn as the Supreme Court withdrew these sections.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju had been venting his anger against the state government and the chief minister for the past two-and-a-half years. He had pledged to defeat the party in the next elections and had filed several cases against the government and the chief minister.

He also intervened in the CBI cases against Jagan Mohan Reddy and wanted the court to speed up the trial, which further intensified his war against Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party. He is accused of acting at the behest of opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu for his criticism against the government.

It is now to be seen when the CID would make its move to question the MP.

Raghurama wants to share dais with Jagan!

0

YSR Congress rebel MP from Narasapur Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju said that he is eagerly waiting to share the dais with chief minister Y S Jagna Mohan Reddy at Bhimavaram on July 4.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the birth centenary celebrations of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju at Bhimavaram on July 4 for which Raghurama Krishnam Raju will also be attending.

Raghurama, as the local MP, would be presiding over the meeting for which he secured clearance directly from the office of the Prime Minister in Delhi.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju had deferred with the YSR Congress and there is not a single day left without the MP criticising Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSR Congress government in the state.

As the Prime Minister would be attending the meeting, the chief minister would also join as part of the protocol.

In fact, the organisers have invited the chief minister too to attend the function along with the Prime Minister.

If the chief minister also attends the meeting, it would be compulsory for both the chief minister and the rebel MP to greet each other in the presence of the Prime Minister.

It is for these interesting moments, the MP said he wanted to seek the face of Jagan in a meeting he presided over.

However, he also expressed doubts over the conspiracy by Jagan and the state police to arrest him either before the meeting or after.

He cautioned the chief minister and the police against hatching any conspiracy to arrest him and said that it would become a major problem for the government.

It is to be seen if the chief minister attends the meeting or if the state police arrest the MP? What would happen when both of them come face to face on the dais!

RAghurama may not attend PM’s meeting on July 4 at Bhimavaram!

1

YSR Congress rebel MP from Narsapur in West Godavari district, Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju may not attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting at Bhimavaram scheduled for July 4. The Prime Minister is attending the meeting of commemoration of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju’s 125th birth anniversary celebrations.

As Bhimavaram is part of the Narasapur Lok Sabha constituency represented by him, the rebel MP had planned to visit the town and attend the meeting. He sent a letter to DGP K V Rajendranath Reddy seeking permission and assurance that he would not be arrested on his arrival. He also said if the state police fail to give him assurance, he would get the clearance from the Prime Minister’s office.

Accordingly, Raghurama Krishnam Raju secured clearance to attend the meeting. The Prime Minister’s office had given him permission to sit next to the Prime Minister on the dais on the day. Armed with the PMO clearance, Raghurama Krishnam Raju is planning to reach Bhimavaram town a little before the meeting.

However, he realised that AP police would arrest him if he entered the state. It came to his notice that a request was sent to the DGP about the proposed meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Law, Justice and Public Grievances to be held at Visakhapatnam. On seeing the list of the MPs to attend the meeting as members of the committee, the DGP had reportedly advised the officials concerned to defer the meeting or else the police would arrest the MP.

Reacting to this, the rebel MP criticised the chief minister for denying him his right to visit his home state. “Is AP a state or the private estate of Jagan?” the MP asked, accusing the chief minister of misusing the police.

If the police have clear instructions to arrest the rebel MP on his arrival into the state, the MP may have to skip the Prime Minister’s tour to his home constituency too!

Shah gives permission to YSRC rebel MP to attend PM meet

1

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is learnt to have given permission to YSR Congress rebel MP from Narasapuram, K Raghurama Krishnam Raju to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme to be held at Bhimavaram on July 4.

As Bhimavaram falls under his Parliamentary constituency, Raghurama Krishnam Raju wrote a letter to AP DGP seeking permission. He was afraid that the AP police would arrest him in one case or the other and sought assurance from the DGP. However, he said that he would approach the Prime Minister’s office or the Union Home Ministry for clearance.

Accordingly, the rebel MP secured clearance from both the Prime Minister’s Office and the Union Home Ministry to visit Bhimavaram and attend the Prime Minister’s meeting. As being the local MP, the Prime Minister’s Office had also cleared the MP’s proposal to preside over the function and sit next only to the Prime Minister on the dais.

It is to be seen whether he would come here along with the Prime Minister on the same day of the function or would arrive a day before. It is also to be seen if the state police would arrest him as he arrives or leave him this time as the Prime Minister’s programme is scheduled.

Raghurama krishnam Raju is facing a couple of cases booked by the local police in West Godavari district and the CID. In fact, he was arrested by the CID on charges of sedition for his speeches in the media.

Will Raghurama join Modi at Bhimavaram?

1

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting at Bhimavaram of West Godavari district on July 4. The Prime Minister would also address a meeting at Visakhapatnam on the same day.

Modi is visiting the state for a one day programme to participate in the 125 birth anniversary of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. The celebrations are part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahostav being organised by the Central government marking 75 years of Independence.

Bhimavaram is part of the Narasapuram Assembly constituency which is represented by the YSR Congress rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju. After he deferred with the parent party, Raju has been avoiding visits to the constituency.

Now taking the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the rebel MP is said to be planning to visit the constituency and attend the meeting. However, it is said that he is suspected the state government arresting him if he arrived,

Smelling the possible arrest, the MP is said to have written a letter to the DGP asking him to provide security for him during his visit. It is also said that the rebel MP had informed the DGP that he would seek protection from the Prime Minister’s Office to attend the meeting if the state police failed to provide security.

Will the state government allow the rebel MP to be present along with the Prime Minister is the big question now doing rounds in the political circles!

Rebel YCP MP writes to PM on CAG report

0

The ruling YSR Congress MP from Narsapuram in West Godavari district, K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, on Monday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking enquiry into the CAG report on the State government finances for 2020-21 year. The CAG report found fault with the State government for irregularities in accounting in the state.

The CAG also found that the government had spent money without getting the Assembly’s approval. It blamed the government for drawing money from the accounts without following the treasury code.

The CAG also found that some demand notes and appropriations of the state government from 2014-15 financial year were yet to get the Assembly’s approval. In some expenditure, the state finance department had failed to provide necessary explanation or justification, the CAG said.

Based on these observations of the CAG, the MP sought proper enquiry by the financial wings of the Central government. He also sought a forensic audit to check the total accounting by the state government and the allegations of the CAG.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who has been openly criticising the State government, chief minister and his own party leadership both in the Parliament and outside for the past two years, leaves no opportunity to nail the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. Interestingly, the media that opposes Jagan also gives him highest priority.

The MP asked the Prime Minister to send senior officials to the AP government and inquire into the allegations of the CAG. He also wanted the Prime Minister to question the Finance Minister, senior officials of the Finance Ministry and the chief minister on the audit report.

It is to be seen what the Prime Minister would do with Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s latest letter against Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

Raghurama Raju may not resign, likely to join BJP before 2024

0

Narasapuram MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju is not going to quit his MP seat as he had announced early in January this year. According to sources, the rebel MP from the YSR Congress is closely watching the developments in the state and has closed the doors for his resignation.

Earlier this year, the MP said that he would quit his post and seek re-election to prove that people are in favour of Amaravati as capital and people are turning against Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He set the deadline for his resignation and extended it twice. Now, he had completely shelved the plan.

The MP initially planned to contest on the BJP ticket with Jana Sena supporting from inside and the TDP and Congress supporting from outside. He made certain attempts to get a green signal from the BJP top leadership for this plan.

While the BJP local leaders have given the green signal to Raghurama Raju, the national leadership is busy with the UP elections till the last week and are getting ready for the elections in Gujarat. The party would also get busy with the President and Vice-President elections scheduled for this year.

Given this busy schedule of the BJP, the top leaders have reportedly advised Raju to drop his plans to quit and seek re-election now. Accordingly, the Narasapurram MP is not resigning as he claimed and the issue is closed for ever.

The MP turned against Jagan Mohan Reddy, the ruling YSR Congress and the State government shortly after his election to Parliament in 2019. Since then, he has been targeting and criticising the party and Jagan Mohan Reddy government more than the opposition.

He also made uncharitable comments against Jagan Mohan Reddy’s caste, the Christian faith and the CBI cases against the chief minister. Though he is facing some cases in his home state, he continues his criticism with a section of the media giving him live coverage every day.

Finally, what is understood is that Raghurama Krishnam Raju will continue to be MP till the last minute of this term and join the BJP before the 2024 elections. However, it is not clear whether he would be the BJP candidate for the next elections or would end up as a former MP forever!

Why is RRR biding his time in Delhi?

0

It now appears almost certain that renegade YSRCP MP from Narsapur Kanumuri Raghuramakrishnam Raju is not going to resign from his MP’s post. Raju, who had pompously announced that he would announce the date of his resignation on February 5, has now backtracked from his word. He now says that he had never said that he would resign from his Lok Sabha seat.

He now says that he would resign if YS Jagan asks him. This clearly shows that RRR never had any intention of resigning and contesting elections again from Narsapur. Interestingly, it was RRR who set this deadline of February 5. Later, he modified his statement and said he would resign on May 11. Later, he clarified that he would announce the date of resignation on February 5.

Sources say that RRR is unsure that he would win from Narsapur if there is a bypoll. Hence, he is dilly dallying on the issue of resignation. In fact, YSRCP never asked for his resignation. It only sought RRR’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha. It was RRR himself who offered to resign and now he has backtracked on it too.

For the last two years, RRR has not visited his constituency of Narsapur. He has been staying in Delhi as he is cagey that he could be arrested if he came to AP. Recently, he came to Hyderabad and the AP police promptly knocked on his doors. Within no time, RRR made an air-dash to Delhi and has not returned since. Fear of arrest and electoral loss may have made him stay in the safe haven of Delhi.

Surveys predict RRR’s success in Narsapur

1

What is behind renegade YSRCP Raghuramakrishnam Raju’s confidence about winning from Narsapur Lok Sabha constituency if bypolls were held? Raghurama has repeatedly said that the winds were blowing against the YSRCP and that he would win if byelections were held today.

Highly placed sources say that Raghurama has got several surveys done to gauge the public mood in Naraspur. The surveys revealed that anti-incumbency was rising all across Andhra Pradesh and that the people were unhappy with the YSRCP government. He said that he would win from the constituency if a bypoll was held. He also said that he would resign from Lok Sabha and force elections on the constituency.

Political watchers say that Raghurama might contest as a BJP candidate with Jana Sena’s support. The TDP might not put up any candidate and ask its cadres to support RRR. There is also a possibility of his contesting as an independent with support from TDP, BJP and Jana Sena. Sources say that with his active connection and outreach in Narsapur, RRR could emerge as a key leader like Eatala Rajender, who managed to turn the tables on the ruling TRS.

Another prominent survey agency Atma Sakshi too had conducted a survey on Narsapur constituency. According to this survey, the YSRCP has 36.35 percent support in the constituency. The TDP has 36.80 per cent support. The survey was reportedly conducted between November and December 2021. In such a tight contest, the votes of Jana Sena and the TDP are likely to become crucial. This explains RRR’s confidence about defeating the YSRCP. We may have to wait to know when RRR takes the plunge and takes on the YSRCP .

YSRCP rebel MP seeks time to appear before CID in sedition case

0

Rebel MP of ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has sought four weeks’ time to appear before the Andhra Pradesh CID in a case of sedition booked against him last year.

The CID had last week served notice on Raju, directing him to appear before it on January 17.

The Narasapuram MP wrote to CID on Monday that he was indisposed and hence unable to appear before the investigating official.

Raju said he fell sick after reaching New Delhi and sought four weeks’ time to appear.

The MP is believed to be planning to approach the Supreme Court against the notice served on him.

A team of CID officers on January 12 had served the notice on Raju at his residence in Hyderabad. He was directed to appear in person before the investigation officer at CID regional office, Guntur.

The notice issued in the name of investigation officer says that MP’s presence is necessary for investigation and interrogation in a case registered against him at CID police station under Indian Penal Code sections 153 A, 505, 124-A read with 120-B.

The case was booked against Raju after he made some remarks against Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP government.

The police had arrested him from his residence in Hyderabad on May 14 and taken him to Guntur. The MP, who had undergone heart bypass surgery, alleged that he was tortured in state police custody.

The Supreme Court had later granted him bail, observing that the report of his medical examination indicated that he may possibly have been ill-treated in custody. The court had also asked him to cooperate with the investigation.

Raju slammed the state government for asking him to appear for questioning on Sankranti. He alleged that the case was booked against him out of personal vendetta.

The Lok Sabha member asked how a case of sedition can be booked against him for speaking out against the misrule and corruption of the government.

Raju has already announced that he will soon resign as MP as YSRCP has failed to get him disqualified. He has already announced that he will contest the by-election.

Will MP Raju appear before APCID after SC/ST Atrocity case?

0

The Andhra Pradesh police have booked a case under SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act against YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju.

Chintalapudi police filed a case against Raju on Friday night following a complaint lodged by one Raju, who complained that Raju abused APCID chief Sunil Kumar by naming his caste.

It may be recalled that APCID sleuths issued notices to Raju on Wednesday at his residence in Hyderabad asking him to appear before them for investigation in sedition case booked against him in May last year for making derogatory remarks on AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy and trying to create rift between castes with his comments in TV channel debates.

Raju was asked to appear for investigation in Guntur CID office on January 17. After receiving notices, Raju told that he will appear before CID as a law abiding citizen.

However, Raju on Friday wrote to PM Narendra Modi stating that YSRCP government is trying to kill him in CID custody and sought protection.

Against this backdrop, doubts surround over Raju appearing before CID on January 17. Speculations are rife that Raju left to Delhi on Friday night and he is not reachable later.

Will submit replies to court, YSRCP rebel MP on CBI charge sheet

0

A day after the CBI filed a charge sheet against rebel MP of YSR Congress party (YSRCP) K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, his company Ind-Barath Power (Madras) Limited and 15 others in connection with Rs 947. 71 crore loan fraud, he said on Saturday that he would file his reply to the court on all issues raised in the charge sheet.

The MP believes that filing of the charge sheet at this stage augurs well as the matter was pending for the last four years.

Stating that entire transactions happened through banks, he said they were informed about the outstanding dues from some companies. He called it a civil dispute between the companies and said he would file a counter with clarity.

He remarked there was no need to give any importance to the comments of those who will soon be going to jail. He was apparently referring to the reaction of some YSRCP leaders.

The CBI on Friday filed a charge sheet against Raju, then chairman and managing director of Ind-Barath and others for allegedly causing loss of Rs 947.71 crore to a consortium of lenders.

Ind-Barath’s eight sister companies, then director Madhusudahan Reddy, Sekeo Power Limited, its managing director and two chartered accountants M. Srinivasulu Reddy and Pravin Kumar Jabad were also named in the charge sheet.

The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi police had registered the case in October 2018 against five persons, including a Hyderabad-based company and its directors. The CBI took over the probe into the case in April 2019 on the orders of the central government.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation revealed that Ind-Barath through its chairman and managing director Raju had allegedly availed Rs 947.71 crore from a consortium of lenders led by Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) and two other lenders, Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (REC) and India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL), for setting up a thermal power plant at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.

However, the company neither completed the project nor complied with the terms and conditions of loan agreements. The accused, including the borrower company, allegedly transferred/diverted the disbursed project funds to create fixed deposits with Bank of India and UCO Bank and to pay advances to contractors.

Why YSRCP social media is ignoring RRR’s attacks?

1

Till a few months ago, the YSRCP leaders and the social media incharges went hammer and tongs against renegade party MP Raghuramakrishnam Raju aka RRR. They slammed him in the strongest of terms and pounced upon him whenever he made a comment against either YS Jagan or the party. Some of the attacks against RRR were way too below the belt.

But, suddenly, the YSRCP seems to be completely ignoring RRR and his comments. Even when he is making extremely pungent comments, the party’s social media seems to be ignoring them. The social media is not reacting to RRR’s attacks. They seem to be looking the other way.

YSRCP insiders say that the social media warriors of the party have now gone inactive. The reason is that despite their frontal attacks and quick responses, the social media teams feel that their contribution is not being recognised. Social media units, which mainly comprise youth, are disappointed that they are completely ignored.

As a result, these warriors have not been responding to RRR’s comments. Sources say that the YSRCP social media mechanism is quite inactive even when the party is under attack from the well-oiled social media accounts from the Telugu Desam Party. Sources also say that these youths are now slowly moving away from the YSRCP.

Renegade MP RRR to join the BJP?

1

Which way will renegade YSRCP MP from Narasapur, Kanumuri Raghuramakrishnam Raju, go in 2024 ? After annoying and angering the party leadership with his vituperative and incisive attacks, he cannot hope to get an MP ticket from the party. The only option left for him is to contest on some other party’s ticket.

The YSRCP is going hammer and tongs against him. RRR was even jailed on some charges or the other. Even after securing a bail, he had to remain hospitalized for sometime allegedly due to the ‘treatment’ he was given during his incarceration. The party has even lodged a complaint with the Speaker and sought RRR’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha. All these only mean that he would never get the YSRCP ticket.

There were rumours that the TDP would give him the party ticket in 2024. The YSRCP has even alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was behind RRR’s belligerence. In fact, RRR was recently present at the Tirupati rally of the Amaravati farmers and Chandrababu had warmly hugged him on the occasion. All these gave an impression that RRR would join the TDP.

But, now it is emerging that he is planning to join the BJP. Sources close to him say that he could get Raju community’s votes if he contests from Narasapur. There are fair chances of his winning if there is an alliance of Jana Sena, TDP and the BJP. RRR is said to be in touch with both the parties for the ticket.

Will contest against Jagan, says Raghurama

1

YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju declared that he will contest against party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the upcoming organisational elections of YSRCP.

Raghurama demanded YSRCP leadership to hold party’s organisational elections immediately saying that the previous organisational elections were held during YSRCP plenary in 2018.

He said as per party’s bylaws, the organisational elections have to held every two years but the party leadership is delaying citing Covid pandemic since 2020.

Raghurama questioned when YSRCP government can hold all elections in AP from gram panchayats to ZPTC, MPTC elections and municipal elections, in which entire AP voters participated during Covid pandemic, why it should be a problem to hold YSRCP organisational elections in which only YSRCP leaders participate.

Raghurama said he will contest for the post of YSRCP president in the upcoming elections adding that as per party’s bylaws anyone can contest for any post in the party.

Raghurama further stated that the party leadership did not dismiss him from YSRCP because he is a ‘disciplined soldier’ of the party.

He requested Lok Speaker Om Birla to reject the disqualification petition filed against him by YSRCP.

Jagan, Vijayasai bail cancellation: CBI Court dismisses RRR’s petitions

0

YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his close aide, YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy got a reprieve in the CBI Court in Hyderabad on Wednesday (today).

The CBI Court dismissed the petitions filed by YSRCP rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju seeking cancellation of the bail granted to them in quid pro quo cases filed by CBI in 2012.

Raju filed the petition seeking cancellation of bail to Jagan in April this year and another petition seeking cancellation of bail to Vijaysai Reddy in July this year.

The arguments in these cases were completed in July. The CBI Court reserved its judgement to August 25.

But later it was again postponed to September 25.

Soon after the CBI court dismissed his petition today, Raju stated that he would challenge the judgement in the Telangana High Court soon and made it clear that he will move even Supreme Court to get justice.

The CBI court disagreed with the arguments of the rebel MP that Jagan and Vijayasai had violated the bail conditions by influencing the witnesses after they came to power in AP in May 2019 in connection with the quid pro quo case investigated by the CBI in 2012.

The court noted that there were no complaints from anyone against Jagan and Vijayasai influencing witnesses and impacting the CBI inquiry.

Raju contended in his petition that Jagan had tried to influence several officials, who were co-accused in his case, by posting them in key positions, such as chief secretary, principal secretary and advisor to the government.

Since all the witnesses cited by the prosecution in the quid pro quo case have now become subjects of Jagan, he would influence them not to depose against him before the CBI court, Raju argued.

But the CBI court felt that Raju’s contentions appeared to be purely hypothetical and were not substantiated by any material evidence to prove that Jagan and Vijayasai had influenced any witnesses.

RRR once again slams Jagan Reddy, says Govt is inc

Renegade YSRCP MP and YS Jagan’s bête noire Raghuramakrishnam Raju has once again slammed the YS Jagan government. He said the Jagan government should be ashamed of the broad-daylight murder of student Ramya Sri. Similarly, a couple, who ran a private school in Rayalseema region, had committed suicide due to the financial problems caused by Covid lockdown.

He said that these deaths show the dire situation that the state is in. He blamed Jagan Mohan Reddy’s model of governance for the poor law and order condition in the state. He quipped that the money that is being given for Amma Vodi (mother’s lap) scheme were finally finding their way into Nanna Buddi (dad’s liquor binge). He said that the private teachers were in dire straits as they are not getting their salaries. He also found fault with YS Jagan’s promotion of the government schools. What will happen to the private schools and what about all the investments that were made in the private schools, he asked.

In another sharp comment, Raghuramakrishnam Raju pointed out that Jagan’s rankings have fallen in terms of governance, policy and performance. The latest India Today report has ranked YS Jagan very low. His rating too have fallen, he pointed out. He said that the Jagan Government’s sand quarrying policy was faulty and said that every day 150 truckloads of sand is being smuggled into Telangana. While sand is being smuggled into Telangana, the local builders are finding it difficult to get sand for building houses. He said sand, which was once supplied for free, now costs almost Rs 25000 per truck. He also said that the state government is fast inching towards bankruptcy.
