Revanth’s rivals in Cong enjoy bypoll result!

1

Congress firebrand leader A.Revanth Reddy faced first Assembly election in the form of Huzurabad by poll after becoming TPCC chief in June this year.

No one expected Congress to retain even deposit in this by poll as it has turned out to be a war between KCR and Etala Rajender and not even a war between TRS and BJP.

Even then Congress was expected to poll at least 10,000 votes in by poll as it was polled 60,000 votes in 2018 Assembly polls.

But shockingly Congress got just 1,300 votes after 9 rounds of counting out of total 22 rounds on Tuesday (today).

BJP polled 35,000 votes and TRS polled 30,000 votes after 9 rounds.

Revanth’s rivals in Telangana Congress are holding Revanth responsible for party’s miserable performance.

Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy who is strongly opposing Revanth as TPCC chief since beginning has decided to complain against Revanth to high command.

Revanth’s rivals want high command to replace Revanth as TPCC chief if it wants to win 2023 Assembly polls.

BJP’s Etela Rajender is heading for victory in by poll as he was leading by over 5,000 votes over TRS after 10 rounds of counting.

Why Sharmila is targeting Revanth more than TRS?

0

YSRTP chief YS Sharmila launched a marathon 4,000 kilometre long ‘padayatra’ in Telangana on Wednesday (today) with an aim to bring back “Rajanna Rajyam” in Telangana.

She launched her padayatra from Chevella in Rangareddy district in line with the ‘Chevella sentiment’ followed by her father YSR, who also launched padayatra in 2002 and become CM of Undivided AP in 2004.

Sharmila addressed a huge gathering at Chevella on the occasion. However, her speech created a buzz in political circles as she targeted TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy more than ruling TRS.

She termed Revanth as a ‘thief’ who was caught ‘red handed’ in ‘cash for vote’ scam. She said Revanth’s political life is in the hands of KCR and KCR can finish Revanth politically anytime he wants.

Sharmila also termed Revanth as a ‘rented TPCC chief’ of Congress who was rented out by TDP to Congress.

Why Sharmila targeted Revanth who is neither in the ruling party nor holding any position in the Telangana government? is the question being debated in political circles.

Speculations are rife that Sharmila is very angry at Revanth as he dashed all her plans to get disgruntled Reddy leaders and YSR supporters in Telangana Congress into her party YSRTP.

Sharmila expected many Reddy Congress leaders would join YSRTP on ‘caste equations’ as Telangana Congress was in coma when she launched YSRTP.

Exactly at the same time, Revanth became TPCC chief and brought new energy to Congress. With this, several Reddy Congress leaders or other leaders from other castes in Congress, who had plans to quit the sinking Congress in Telangana, dropped their plans believing in Revanth’s leadership and charisma.

With this, Sharmila could not get even a single noted leader from Telangana Congress into YSRCP. Even the only noted Telangana Congress woman leader Indira Shobhan who joined YSRTP from Congress also quit YSRTP after Revanth became TPCC chief.

All these made Sharmila develop severe anger against Revanth which came out when she launched padayatra.

Revanth is also taking YSRTP very lightly and frequently terming Sharmila’s party as an “NGO organisation” and not a political party whenever media persons are raising questions in Revanth Reddy’s press meets on Sharmila.

Revanth is saying that he will respond only on political parties and not NGOs like YSRTP. This is also cited as the reason for Sharmila’s anger on Revanth.

Revanth meets DS: Will BJP MP’s father rejoin Congress Party?

0

Is veteran politician D Srinivas planning to join the Congress Party? Likely, say political watchers. The Thursday meeting between PCC chief Revanth Reddy and D Srinivas has fuelled rumours of D Srinivas’s probable Ghar Vapsi. In fact, Revanth personally invited DS to come back to the Congress Party

DS is currently a Rajya Sabha member from the TRS. However, his relations with the TRS are strained. The TRS has not been inviting him to the party meets and he too is keeping a distance from the party. His son Sanjay is already in the Congress Party. DS was a two-time PCC chief of the undivided AP and was a minister during YSR’s tenure. He joined the TRS in 2014 and has been a Rajya Sabha MP. He has been estranged from the Congress for the past several years.

If he joins the Congress, it would be a huge political statement. DS’s son D Aravind is a BJP MP from Nizamabad. He defeated KCR’s daughter Kalwakuntla Kavitha in 2019 general elections. This could affect Aravind’s prospects in 2024 elections.

According to Congress sources, DS responded positively to Revanth Reddy’s request. This attempt is being seen as part of Revanth Reddy’s efforts to bring all ex-Congressmen back into the party. He has met several such leaders who had recently left the party. If all goes well, DS could resign from the Rajya Sabha and the TRS during the Sankranthi season and then join the Congress.

Revanth stumps TRS with long-term plans!

TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy continues to give sleepless nights to TRS top brass ever since he took over reigns of Congress in Telangana.

TRS leadership is not able to assess the clever political moves of Revanth.

TRS strongly believed that Revanth will field a strong candidate like Konda Surekha in Huzurabad by poll scheduled to be held on October 30.

TRS hoped that this will split anti-TRS votes between Congress and BJP and make TRS victory easier in Telangana.

But Revanth gave a twist by fielding an unknown face Venkat Balmoor in Huzurabad after realizing that Congress has no chance to win this election in this big battle between KCR and Etela Rajender.

Revanth’s strategy is that TRS should not benefit due to vote split between Congress and BJP and he wants TRS to lose at any cost and he doesn’t mind even if BJP wins in this election.

Revanth feels that if TRS loses Huzurabad, KCR will weaken and lose his grip on TRS and TRS will collapse by 2023 Assembly polls.

It will benefit Congress in the long run although Congress suffers temporary setback in Huzurabad now by fielding a weak candidate like Venkat.

KTR’s defamation suit a strong message to T’gana opposition

0

By filing defamation suit against Telangana State Congress chief A. Revanth Reddy for linking him to the drugs scandal, Telangana’s cabinet minister K. T. Rama Rao has sent a clear message to the opposition leaders for their continued diatribe.

Political analysts say the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president has tried to convey to the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief in clear terms that the ruling party is no longer ready to take the slander lying down.

Realising that mere war of words on Twitter and challenges and counter challenges will not be enough, Rama Rao approached the court to rein in Revanth Reddy.

KTR, as the minister is popularly known, received immediate relief as the City Civil Court passed interim orders directing Revanth Reddy not to make any statement linking him to the drugs scandal.

The court passed interim injunction restraining Revanth Reddy and his agents or any person representing him from making any further derogatory, libellous or scandalous statements either by way of print or electronic media and/ or in public or in private including social media and the Internet linking KTR with the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Enforcement Directorate in the drugs scandal.

According to the minister, the defamation suit is a result of various baseless, scurrilous, and manifestly false statements and allegations made against him by Revanth Reddy. He denied any links with those accused in the drugs scandal.

Liberty has also been reserved in the suit for instituting further criminal proceedings and for payment of compensatory damages for such serious and malicious acts of defamation.

KTR, son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was irked by Revanth Reddy linking him to drugs case currently being probed by the Enforcement Directorate with the questioning several Telugu film personalities this month for alleged money laundering. The Congress leaders had even branded KTR ‘brand ambassador of drugs’.

While continuing to politically counter the opposition, the TRS has made up its mind to crack the whip if opposition leaders ‘cross their limit’ by resorting to ‘baseless’ allegations against chief minister or other top leaders.

Recently, KTR also threatened that the government will not hesitate to book sedition cases against those trying to defame Telangana’s growth and belittle its achievements with false figures and allegations.

He took strong exception to some opposition leaders making statements loaded with personal abuses against the chief minister.

The state is already witnessing a sharp exchange of words, allegations and counter allegations and leaders throwing challenges at each other.

A bitter critic of the chief minister and his family, Revanth Reddy launched ‘white challenge’ apparently to put the government in a tight spot.

He challenged KTR to come forward to undergo drug tests along with him. He also threw a challenge at former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who readily accepted it and reached the venue and time announced by Revanth Reddy.

KTR, however, tried to turn tables on Revanth by stating that he is ready to give his samples for drug tests if AICC leader Rahul Gandhi also comes forward to give his samples. He also remarked that it’s below his dignity to undergo the tests with what he calls a Cherlapalli jail alumni.

He was apparently referring to Revanth Reddy’s arrest in note for vote scam of 2015.

Then a leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Revanth was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while offering Rs.50 lakh cash to a nominated MLA to make him vote for TDP candidate in elections for Legislative Council from MLAs’ quota.

Revanth later joined the Congress party and was elected to Lok Sabha in 2019 elections. A couple of months later, Congress party’s central leadership sprang a surprise by picking him for the post of TPCC president, ignoring several senior leaders and strong contenders.

Known for his aggressive brand of politics, Revanth is seen by many as someone who can revive the fortunes of the grand old party in its former stronghold.

Spearheading anti-government protests, Revanth is slamming KCR and his family members and constantly hitting the deadlines by making sweeping allegations.

A few days ago, the State Congress chief submitted a letter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) demanding investigation into sale of government of lands at Kondapur in Hyderabad. He claimed that the government suffered a loss of Rs.1,000 crore as the lands were sold to those close to the chief minister.

Revanth is not the only opposition leader targeting the chief minister and his family.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who took over as the state BJP president last year, is also known for not mincing any word to attack TRS supremo and his family members.

Both Congress and BJP leaders often use harsh words to lampoon KCR. For instance, they often remark that KCR always ‘sleeps’ at his farm house and doesn’t even step out even when people are in distress.

Making allegations of corruption, the BJP leader said KCR will soon go to jail for looting public money, especially thousands of crores of rupees he took as bribes from contractors in irrigation project.

Currently undertaking ‘padyatra’, he is resorting to bitter attacks on KCR. TRS leaders repeatedly warned Sanjay to mind his language while criticizing the chief minister.

A couple of leaders even used abusive language to attack each other. In the run up to ensuing by-election to Huzurabad Assembly constituency and 2023 Assembly polls, the political bickering is likely to only heat up.

While TRS leaders say opposition leaders can criticise the government and question it, the kind of language used by the opposition leaders is unacceptable.

KTR stated that the government will not hesitate to even book sedition cases against those making derogatory remarks against the chief minister.

Reacting to this, Bandi Sanjay Kumar challenged him to lodge a sedition case against him and put him behind bars. He questioned the government whether they would be charged under sedition if they questioned on promises made by the CM of giving double bedrooms for the poor, three acres of land to Dalits, job for every house, financial aid for jobless youth.

While warning the opposition leaders, KTR cites the recent arrest of union minister Narayan Rane in Maharashtra for his ‘slap’ slur against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery.

“In Maharashtra, they arrested a central minister. If you want us to do the same, we will do it,” KCR said.

KTR says derogatory words against a leader of the stature of KCR are not acceptable. “There is a limit to patience. We have told them this many times. Should we tolerate this kind of language being used against a leader who fought for and achieved Telangana state, held many positions in his long political career and who has been blessed as a two-time chief minister by the people,” Rama Rao asked.

Opposition leaders, however, argue that they have every right to criticise the chief minister and his policies.

Cong high command supports Revanth, warns seniors!

0

The Congress high command is learnt to be very angry at Telangana senior Congress party leaders who are creating hurdles and troubles for TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy in discharging his duties.

The high command came in full support of Revanth Reddy and reportedly warned seniors of severe consequences if they fail to mend their ways.

The high command took a serious view of Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy’s open criticism before media against Revanth Reddy on Friday.

The high command asked AICC Telangana affairs in-charge Manickam Tagore to rush to Hyderabad on Saturday (today) and convey the high command’s message to seniors clearly.

With this, Tagore is coming to Hyderabad today and holding a meeting in Gandhi Bhavan in the evening with seniors and ask them not to make any statements against Revanth in media that affect the party.

Tagore is holding Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting in Gandhi Bhavan today and asked all seniors to attend the meeting without fail.

Komatireddy brothers and Jagga Reddy are making public statements against Revanth while few other seniors are not cooperating with Revanth though not making adverse remarks against Revanth openly.

Komatireddy brothers are not visiting Gandhi Bhavan since Revanth was appointed as TPCC chief in protest.

It remains to be seen what Komatireddy brothers will do now as Tagore asked them to attend today’s meeting in Gandhi Bhavan without fail.

Seniors are gearing up to complain to Tagore against Revanth accusing him of running the party like his ‘private limited company’ and ignoring seniors and not taking them into confidence while planning any party programmes.

Jagga fires on Revanth, threatens to join TRS!

0

Senior Congress leader and Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy fired salvos at his own party president, TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy.

In a chit-chat with media at Congress Legislature Party (CLP) office in Telangana Legislative Assembly premises on Friday (today), Jagga Reddy accused Revanth of humiliating and ignoring him.

Jagga said Revanth is running Telangana Congress like a private limited company and ignoring senior leaders in the party.

He expressed anger at Revanth for not informing him about holding a meeting in his constituency.

Jagga also expressed ire at Revanth for not giving him a chance to address the public meeting held in Gajwel recently, which is part of Undivided Medak district, in which his Sangareddy constituency comes.

Gajwel is located in my home district and I was not given a chance to speak in the meeting, Jagga said.

Jagga threatened to join TRS if the same treatment is meted out to him in Congress.

“If I want to join TRS, there is no one in TRS who can stop me. I am a loyal Congress worker. That’s why I am showing patience. I was elected thrice as MLA even before Revanth joined Congress,” Jagga remarked.

Other Congress MLAs Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Sridhar Babu, Seethakka etc who were present in the CLP office were shocked at Jagga’s comments with media and maintained silence.

Is ‘common enemy’ Revanth bringing TRS-BJP together?

0

The ruling TRS dominated Telangana politics completely in its first term in office between June 2014 and December 2018.

There was virtually no Opposition in Telangana as KCR engineered defections in TDP and Congress, which were strong opposition parties then. Majority of the TDP MLAs and Congress MLAs joined TRS.

But the situation changed for TRS in its second term in office from December 2018.

Within six months, BJP emerged as a strong opposition by winning four Lok Sabha seats in May 2019 elections and defeating none other than KCR’s daughter Kavitha in Nizamabad seat.

BJP’ graph went further up after it defeated TRS in Dubbak Assembly bypoll in November 2020 and posted good results in GHMC elections in December 2020 after Bandi Sanjay took over as BJP Telangana president in March 2020.

The Congress was nowhere in the picture. But after Congress high command appointed firebrand leader Revanth Reddy as TPCC chief in July this year, the josh in Congress reached its peak.

Revanth is grabbing all the media headlines since July and dominating TRS and BJP. The BJP remains worst affected because of Revanth as its position slipped below Congress in garnering media and public attention.

With Revanth emerging as ‘common enemy’ for TRS and BJP, speculations are rife that the TRS leadership and BJP national leadership have set their focus on Revanth and thinking seriously on how to control Revanth.

When KCR visited Delhi in September first week and stayed there for nine days, speculations were rife that KCR sought BJP’s national leadership support and help in speeding up cash-for-vote case in which Revanth is prime accused. KCR reportedly sought BJP national leadership cooperation to ensure Revanth lands in jail in this case.

Now that, KCR is going to Delhi again for three days from tomorrow, September 24, these speculations are spreading like wildfire whether KCR would take up Revanth issue again with BJP high command.

Drugs case: KTR gets relief in defamation suit against Revanth

0

TRS working president and IT minister K.T.Rama Rao got a relief in the Hyderabad City Civil Court on Tuesday (today) in a defamation case filed against TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy.

The court gave interim directions to Revanth not to make any comments on KTR in the Tollywood drugs case being investigated by the excise department and Enforcement Directorate.

KTR had filed a defamation case against Revanth for linking him with Tollywood drugs case on Monday (yesterday).

However, the court did not accept the petition yesterday due to some technical errors in the petition.

With this, KTR filed a revised petition today. The court admitted the petition and directed Revanth Reddy not to make any comments on KTR linking him with Tollywood drugs case.

The court stated that it will hear the petition on October 20.

However, the court allowed Revanth to file a counter on KTR’s petition.

TRS, Congress workers clash at Revanth Reddy’s residence

0

Tension prevailed at the residence of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy here on Tuesday as workers of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) tried to stage a protest, leading to a clash with the former’s supporters.

Protesting against Revanth Reddy’s remarks against their leader and state minister K.T. Rama Rao, a group of TRS workers tried to lay siege to the residence of Revanth Reddy at Jubilee Hills.

Raising slogans against the Congress leader, the protesters tried to burn his effigy but a group of Congress workers tried to stop them. This led to an argument and a clash between the two groups.

The clashing groups attacked each other with sticks and pelted stones. There were no reports of any injuries on either side. Police had to intervene to control the situation.

The Congress party leaders alleged that TRS ‘goons’ attacked Revanth Reddy’s house. Senior Congress leader Mallu Ravi has called for state-wide protests to condemn the incident.

Following the incident, police beefed up security around Revanth Reddy’s house.

The incident came a day after a Twitter war ensued between Revanth Reddy and KTR over the former’s ‘white challenge’ and the latter’s announcement to file a defamation suit against him.

The TPCC chief had alleged that the minister has links with drug scandal in the state. He had also challenged KTR to come forward to undergo drug test.

Responding to Revanth Reddy’s challenge, KTR had said that he was ready to undergo drug test if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also comes forward to give his samples.

To create awareness among youth on increasing drug menace in the country, the Congress has started white challenge. Revanth Reddy announced that he and former MP K. Visheshwar Reddy graciously accepted the challenge and dared Rama Rao to join them at Martyrs’ Memorial at 12 noon for the same.

KTR tweeted that it is below his dignity to undergo tests with ‘Cherlapally jail alumni’. He was referring to ‘note for vote’ case in which Reddy was jailed.

Hours later, KTR announced he has filed a civil suit for defamation and for grant of perpetual injunction against Reddy for making baseless allegations linking him with the drugs scandal.

Meanwhile, TRS leaders said by making baseless allegations about drugs scandal the Congress leader is also damaging Hyderabad’s brand image.

Some TRS leaders cleaned Telangana martyrs’ memorial at Gun Park saying it has become unholy with Revanth Reddy’s visit. The Congress leader had reached Gun Park on Monday while inviting KTR to join him there for ‘white challenge’.

KTR files defamation case against Revanth in drugs case!

0

IT minister K.T. Rama Rao has filed a Civil Suit for defamation and for grant of perpetual injunction against TPCC chief Anumula Revanth Reddy on Monday (today).

The suit is a result of various baseless, scurrilous, and manifestly false statements and allegations made against KTR by Revanth Reddy seeking to falsely link KTR with the ongoing investigation being conducted by Enforcement Directorate against allegations of .drug and psychotropic substances abuse by certain named accused.

The Civil Suit contends that the said investigations are being done against the said accused and as a part of investigation various persons are being examined with none of whom KTR has any association or link for the alleged acts.

KTR has thus sought a declaration that such false statements made by Revanth Reddy are slanderous, libelous and constitute defamation and seeks an appropriate injunction against making such defamatory statements and to take down all such false statements/ accusations.

Liberty has also been reserved in the suit for instituting further Criminal Proceedings and for payment of compensatory damages for such serious and malicious acts of defamation.

TRS making Revanth a hero at national level!

0

The ongoing Twitter war between TRS working president, IT minister KT Rama Rao and TPCC president on drug analysis tests has become a hot topic in national politics.

In fact, this topic is trending on Twitter today.

But Revanth seemed to gained a lot of political mileage from this issue.

The TRS leaders in their bid to fix Revanth issue by dragging Rahul Gandhi into this issue by demanding Rahul to undergo drug analysis tests along with KTR, helped Revanth to attract national headlines.

Due to over enthusiasm by TRS, within three months Revanth became the most popular TPCC chiefs in the country.

KTR tweeting everyday about Revanth tagging Congress top leaders Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Manish Tiwari etc made Congress high command recognize how Revanth is creating panic in TRS within three months of taking charge.

Although several leaders worked as TPCC chiefs earlier, no one became a hot and trending topic like Revanth and political circles say all the credit goes to KTR and TRS leaders who made Revanth a hero in politics.

Revanth’s Gajwel meeting shakes TRS !

1

The Dalita Girijana Atmagourava Dandora public meeting organised by TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy in Gajwel on Friday night came as a big shock to ruling TRS in Telangana.

This is because Gajwel is the home constituency of TRS president and Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao from where he was elected twice in 2014 and 2018 and became CM of Telangana twice.

Moreover, the constituency also falls under Siddipet district, which is represented by TRS strong man and KCR’s nephew, T Harish Rao, who is also the finance minister in KCR’s cabinet.

The ruling TRS did everything to make Revanth’s meeting a flop show. It asked all sarpanches, MPTCs, ZPTCs, MLAs, MPs of TRS in Undivided district to ensure that people do not turn up in large numbers.

It even used the police machinery to restrict public gatherings. Despite all this, Gajwel witnessed massive turnout of public for the meeting.

While Revanth claimed that nearly 2 lakh attended as against 1 lakh he stated earlier when he announced meeting in Gajwel last month, the turnout could be nearly one lakh as per intelligence reports.

Gajwel, which is KCR and TRS fort, evoking such a huge response for opposition Congress meeting is something which even hardcore Congress supporters are unable to believe.

Revanth even challenged KCR to ask his intelligence department to verify whether one lakh attended or not and if not he will hold another meeting in Gajwel with five lakh people in another six months.

Tharoor accepts apology from T’gana Cong chief over ‘donkey’ remark

0

After outrage over the ‘donkey remark’, Telangana Congress chief and MP Revanth Reddy has apologised to Shashi Tharoor.

Tharoor on Thursday evening accepted the apology and tweeted after getting a phone call from Reddy, “I received a gracious call from @revanth_anumula to apologise for what was said. I accept his expression of regret & am happy to put this unfortunate episode behind us. We must work together to strengthen @INCIndia in Telangana & across the country.”

Reddy also tweeted his apology: “I spoke to shri @ShashiTharoor ji to convey that I hereby withdraw the remarks and reiterate that I hold my senior colleague in the highest regard. I regret any hurt that may have been caused to him by my words. We share our faith in the values and policies of the Congress Party.”

The matter, however, was not resolved so easily after Congress leaders Manish Tewari and Vivek Tankha raised the issue and the matter escalated in the party. A media report quoted party Reddy making a derogatory reference to senior leader Shashi Tharoor.

Reddy later withdrew the remark after Telangana in-charge Manickam Tagore intervened. Reddy was appointed state president recently after Uttam Reddy quit due to defeat in state polls.

The war of words broke after Tharoor’s recent visit to Hyderabad and Reddy commented on him and said he should be expelled.

Manish Tewari said, “Dear Mr @revanth_anumula, Dr @ShashiTharoor is a valued colleague of yours & mine It would have been better if you would have spoken to him if you had some misgivings about a purported statement of his. Grace & Propriety demands you withdraw your words.”

TPCC chief kicks up a row with his remarks on Shashi Tharoor

0

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Revanth Reddy allegedly describing party MP Shashi Tharoor as a ‘donkey’ kicked up a row on social media on Thursday.

Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday posted audio clip of Revanth Reddy’s interaction with mediapersons on Twitter.

In the clip, Revanth Reddy, who is also an MP, can be heard calling Tharoor a ‘gadha’ (donkey). He was asked about Tharoor praising KTR during his recent visit to Hyderabad as the leader of the Parliamentary standing committee on information technology.

KTR posted the audio clip after Revanth Reddy apparently denied the report that he termed Tharoor as a ‘donkey’.

“Born liar and looter @KTRTRS can’t get away with hiding behind @ShashiTharoor ji and fake news. It’s clear that you are trying to mislead current issues of child molestation and corruption charges against your family,” the TPCC chief tweeted after KTR slammed him for his verbal attack on Tharoor.

“As the chairman of the IT standing committee, Shashi Tharoor Ji had paid some compliments to the efforts of the Govt of Telangana recently. His colleague in parliament & PCC chief calls him a Donkey!! This is what happens when you have a 3rd rate criminal/thug leading the party,” tweeted KTR, who is the son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

After Revanth Reddy called the report fake news, KTR again took to Twitter, this time with the audio clip.

“While ***** like @revanth_anumula need not be responded to; it’s important to expose filth. Here’s his audio clip/comments on Tharoor. Sent to me by a reporter, I am sure if we send it to a forensic lab, it’ll match his infamous #Note4Vote voice. Any comments @RahulGandhi Ji?,” KTR tweeted.

Tharoor also joined the issue after someone took exception to Revanth Reddy’s remarks.

“I am sure he was only expressing his fraternal feelings!” wrote Tharoor.

During the visit of the parliamentary committee on IT led by Tharoor to Hyderabad last week, KTR had made a presentation on the state’s IT initiatives.

“Hugely impressive presentation by @KTRTRS &his team. I said that as with foreign policy, we need to look beyond political divides on IT policy. If @ministerktr is setting an example in Telengana that the rest of us can benefit from, we can all gain from a forward-looking IT policy,” Tharoor wrote.

“Many thanks @ShashiTharoor Ji Politics can be relegated to a back burner when it comes to the interests of our nation & policy making Happy to meet & contribute to the IT standing committee under your chairmanship,” KTR replied.

This apparently did not go down well with Revanth Reddy, a bitter critic of Chandrasekhar Rao and his family.

Terming Tharoor a ‘donkey’, the TPCC chief allegedly said that he should be expelled from the party.

Revanth Reddy also allegedly said that Tharoor and KTR were of the same ilk and their fluency in English did not mean that either of them was a knowledgeable person.

KTR and Revanth’s “Twitter war” continues!

0

The “Twitter war” between TRS working president, IT minister K.T.Rama Rao and TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy has been intensifying further day after day.

KTR on Thursday (today) termed Revanth as “3rd rate criminal” and a “thug leading the party” and “PCC cheap” on his Twitter page.

KTR tweeted, “As the chairman of the IT standing committee, Shashi Tharoor Ji had paid some compliments to the efforts of the Govt of Telangana recently His colleague in parliament & PCC Cheap calls him a Donkey!! This is what happens when you have a 3rd rate criminal/thug leading the party.

KTR’s tweet was in response to Revanth calling Congress MP and senior leader a “Donkey’ during his chit chat with media at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.

When media personnel referred to Shashi Tharoor praising KTR and Telangana government for achievements in IT sector when Tharoor visited Hyderabad recently on a study tour of Parliamentary Standing Committee, Revanth said, “Shashi Tharoor is a donkey. He is unaware of what exactly happening in Hyderabad.”

Revanth’s comment was published prominently in media today. KTR posted one of these news clippings on his Twitter page and termed Revanth as 3rd rate criminal.

The Twitter war started between Revanth and KTR three days ago. Revanth called KTR an ‘irresponsible minister’ for tweeting that the accused in six-year old girl’s rape and murder in Singareni colony in Hyderabad was arrested within hours of the incident while the fact remains that he was at large.

An embarrassed KTR immediately corrected his tweet saying he was misinformed and the police are on the hunt to trace him.

KCR taking Revanth Reddy seriously!

1

It’s been more than three months since Congress firebrand leader A.Revanth Reddy was appointed as TPCC chief.

But TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao never took Revanth Reddy’s criticism seriously.

At the most, KCR asked junior leaders like Balka Suman, Guvvala Balaraju to counter Revanth’s criticism on him and TRS.

But KCR took Revanth’s criticism on his ongoing Delhi visit seriously for the first time.

Revanth was also in Delhi to meet Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday. Revanth told Delhi media that KCR is in Delhi since September 1 despite heavy rains in Telangana for ‘secret pacts’ with PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.

He said KCR-Modi bond is like Fevicol bond.

KCR who saw Revanth’s comments on TV, immediately issued instructions to his PROs to immediately issue rejoinders on Revanth’s criticism stating that CM is in Delhi only on official visit seeking funds and pending projects for Telangana.

He also asked senior TRS leader B.Vinod Kumar to counter Revanth and not juniors which shows that KCR started feeling Revanth heat and he no longer can ignore him like earlier.

Konda Surekha teaches Revanth Reddy a fitting lesson

1

Consummate politician and former minitr Konda Surekha has given a shock to the Congress top leaderships on the issue of Huzurabad bypoll. Nobody knows how to put the leadership in a spot like Konda Surekha. Her one small move has Telangana Pradesh Committee Chief chief Revanth Reddy running for cover.

When the Huzurabad bypoll issue came up, several seniors and office bearers felt that Konda Surekha would be the right choice for the party. The PCC coordination committee too has recommended her name to the high command. Her selection was a mere formality. Meanwhile, the new TPCC chief, in his own enthusiastic manner, said that those who intend to contest the election should apply to the TPCC.

As many as 18 people had applied for the party ticket. As many as 11 of them were local applicants, while the remaining 7 were from outside the Huzurabad constituency. But, the surprise of surprise is that Konda Surekha is not one of them. All the applicants stand no chance of winning the elections. Only Surekha has the winnability factor. She is well-known in the constituency. Now if Surekha is chosen despite not applying, the idea of democratic process would be reduced to a farce. If she is not chosen as the party candidate, the party will lose badly and Revanth Reddy’s image would be seriously dented.

With one stroke, Surekha has shown Revanth Reddy his place. She has shown that she is no pushover. Now Revanth Reddy will have to find out some amenable and face-saving way to give the party ticket to Surekha. Let’s wait and see what will Revanth do to placate Surekha and bring her round.

Revanth’s mistake: Is Congress conceding YSR legacy to others?

1

Is the Congress Party in both the Telugu states giving a walkover when it comes to claiming the legacy of YSR? Is it ceding ground to YS Jagan and YS Sharmila on the issue of owning up YS Rajesehakara Reddy? It appears so. The recent meeting called by YS Vijayamma to mark the 12th death anniversary of YSR is an indication that the Congress has decided to forsake the YSR legacy.

It is an open fact that YSR was an out-and-out Congressman and always wanted to see the Gandhi family rule the country. He was among the best and the most popular of Congress CMs. Even 12 years after his death, there are countless people who remember him and recollect his memories gratefully. He did all these as a Congress CM and never swerved from the Congress path. But the Congress, it appears, is not in a position to claim his legacy.

In AP, YS Jagan has usurped his legacy and has named his party after YSR. Not just that. Today, the Congress in AP is not even able to hold any programme in memory of its best CM, who named all his schemes after either Indira Gandhi or Rajiv Gandhi. Now, it appears that the Congress is ready to forsake YSR’s legacy in Telangana too. In fact, YSR is more popular in Telangana than in AP. Yet, the party has not been organising either his birth anniversary or death anniversary.

This year on September 2, the Congress has virtually asked its members not to attend the memorial meeting on YSR organised on September 2. It issued a diktat to that effect. Though YS Vijayamma organised the meeting, it was clear that YS Sharmila, the chief of the YSRTP, was the brain behind the programme. In a couple of years, Sharmila will claim the YSR legacy and the Congress would cede the ground in Telangana too. No active Congressman except Komatireddy Venkat Reddy attended the meet.

There are murmurs within the TPCC that Revanth Reddy is still not criticising Chandrababu Naidu, years after he left the TDP, but at the same time is forsaking the legacy of YSR, who was instrumental in having a Congress rule for 10 continuous years.

Cong seniors non-cooperation with Revanth hits party!

0

TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy is making all the efforts to take all the senior Congress leaders into confidence ever since he was appointed to head Congress in Telangana in June.

He is trying to consult seniors on all the issues. But the seniors who are angry at Revanth’s appointment as TPCC chief are not cooperating with him even after two months.

Seniors like Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy, Komatireddy brothers, V Hanumantha Rao etc are avoiding Gandhi Bhavan.

They are also not participating in party activities undertaken by Revanth.

They are just confining to their constituencies.

This non-cooperation by party seniors in Congress is giving ammunition for TRS to attack Revanth.

TRS media is aggressively carrying negative reports on Revanth pointing out split in Telangana Congress due to revolt by seniors.

Although Revanth was successful in creating a josh for Congress in Telangana after he took over as TPCC chief, the non cooperation by seniors is creating negative impact on party and making Revanth’s efforts futile.
